Synching on 2 separate PCs with 1 iPad + purchased app issue

Hi all,
The problem I have is that I have two desktop PC's with iTunes, one at Home, one in at Work. And 1 iPad.
I purchased the Brushes app (brilliant!) using my iPad. Then synched with my Work Desktop PC which then removed by Brushes app from my iPad and placed it in iTunes on my Desktop Work PC (which I wasn't aware of at the time).
I continued to download apps using my iPad over the past week, and now have quite a collection. I have synced multiple times with my Desktop PC at Home.
The upshot being that now the only place that my purchased Brushes App exists is on my Desktop Work PC's iTunes.
Currently "synch apps" is not selected. If I select it, the system says:
"Are you sure you want to synch application? All existing applications and their data on the iPad will be replaced with applications from this iTunes library".
The list of apps that I have on my Work PC iTunes is significantly less than I have on my iPad. So you can see my problem. While I can get Brushes back onto my iPad my synching to my Work PC, it's at the expense of all the additional apps I have downloaded (some of which are purchased).
So how do I get over this problem?
Q: What is the best workflow for having two iTunes on two separate computers? I am logging in with the same user details, so why are my apps not accessible??
Q: Can you manually manage Apps like you can Music? Drag and drop just doesnt seem to work.

What is the best workflow for having two iTunes on two separate computers?
Choose Transfer Purchases from the File menu in iTunes each time you switch computers, and then sync. Or if all of your purchases are apps, download them from the iTunes Store on each computer; you won't be charged more than once.
I am logging in with the same user details, so why are my apps not accessible?
Because they're part of the iTunes library on the computers and not on the iTunes Store account, which only contains a record of what you've purchased.

I have two iPads, two separate accounts I have purchased apps on one Acc. and would like to use them on my second iPad. How is this possible

If you go to Settings > iTunes & AppStore , you can sign out from your account, and sign in with the one you've used to purchase apps. This will not remove any apps you already have on it.
Then you can go to AppStore and download apps you've purchased (either via "Purchased" button in "Updates", or simply search for them and download them.
That way you can have multiple accounts' apps on your iPad. When updating, you will be prompted for the credentials for account you've purchased given App with.

  • Remote app in combination with ipad music app

    Hi
Can i stream music from itunes to my ipad with the remote app
In fact i'm looking for an app from which i can remote control itunes on my mac mini
and stream music to my ipad, using the same library or shared library and same app
During music discovery nights with a friend
I want to prelisten to the music with the ipad
And after the correct selection i have to swith to the remote app to play the selected song on my mac mini
I constantly have to switch between remote app and ipad music app
    Which is very annoying because
    - remote app looses his connection after every switch between the 2 apps
    - i then have to go through the complete music library again till i have the track that i wanted to play
    - and many more
Also that music app has changed since a while and doesnt offer me the same comfort scrolling through my music
I recently discovered plex and its ios app
In that app we can click on the track we need and it gives me the choice to play it on the mac mini or the ipad
Which is a really cool feature
But, ...,  it doesnt have any search possibilities
In every app i tried there is always something missing to make it raeaeaeaellllllyyy eaeaeaeassssyyyyy
Isnt that what technology is supposed to offer us, make ite easy and confortable
    Grrrrr
I googled  for a while about it
    Found no defenitive answers yet

How I wish that the Music App on my iPad could work as fast and as sleek as the Remote App when connecting to my (VERY LARGE) Library.
Even with version 1.0, every time I had to connect to my Library, the response time was just a few seconds before I can see and scroll thru my Albums/Artists/etc (with Album Art and all).
With the Music App, I haven't being able to connect to my shared library since iOS 4.0 :-( And the limited times when successfully connected the response time was JUST awful.
Please 'Remote App Team' have a beer or two with the 'Music App Team' and share your expertise with them!!! I'm begging  you!!! Or at least 'tweak' your App so it can stream the music to the iPad, so we can enjoy our shared libraries on it.
Today... After updating to iTunes 11, I ( 've ?) tried to connect the Music App to my Library via Home Sharing without success. So.. Again.. Please Apple, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!
    Thanks!!!

  • Someone please help me regarding synching for first time but with lots of apps on the iPad

Hi, when I bought my iPad2 it was booted in the store, and since then I never connected to a computer, how do I now sync to my PC without losing all the apps I paid for? Please help, thanks.

Authorize your computer for iTunes content - launch iTunes and go to Store>Authorize this computer. Make sure that you are signed into your iTunes account on the computer as well. If you are already authorized and have been using iTunes on your PC you are good to go.
I copied this from another discussion. If you follow these steps you should be fine - for all of your purchased content.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/11527071#11527071
    1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
    2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
    3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
    4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
    5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
    6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
    That should do it.

  • Why can I not synch my brand new IPod with one purchased itune and 2 riped from a CD, both of which are shown in my itunes account. The unhelpful "support" suggests I click an icon pictured but not in any screen view available to me. This is really off-pu

Just bought an IPod Classic and put 3 songs on my iTunes account - 1 purchased and 2 from a CD.  I can't sync and the screen shot shown in the help section doesn't ressemble my scren views. i have now been on hold for 55 minutes despite a mesage saying "15 minutes or more" that implied a much quicker experience. This is really an unimpressive begining.

  • Problems with ipad and app sync

I bought a couple of apps with my ipad, and when I connect it to my imac, itunes tells me that these apps cannot be transferred to the computer because it´s not activated. But when I activate it, it tells me that it is already activated. I´m using only one appleID. I don´t know what to do.I bought keynote for ipad with my imac and I can´t transfer it to my ipad. I would be happy if someone can help me.

I had a bit of this a little while ago, then it went away. I kept activating the iMac in iTunes, and eventually it shut up.
Try restarting the iPad, and if that doesn't work, back it up and do a Restore
To get Keynote on the iPad, in the interim go to the App Store on iPad, and check Purchases - keynote should show up there and you can download it.

  • ICal to-to syncing with iPad Calendar app.....

Why is it still missing!?!??! I tried using the to-do feature in AppleMail and all I got on my .mac account on my iPad Mail was useless mime attachments...no way to edit or mark it completed.
Also, who's ridiculous idea was it to migrate the to-dos from iCal to Mail? Why would anybody want to go to their Mail app when scheduling tasks? I can't refer to my Calendar in Mail, and AppleMail on my iPhone and iPad don't to have support for it either. I switched years ago from Entourage to iCal for my scheduling precisely to avoid this sort of silly disconnect.
Are there any plans to support to-do item sync from iCal on my Mac and any of Apple's mobile products in any useable fashion? If syncing to-do data with iPhones, iPads, etc is not going to be supported then why even have it in iCal in the first place?
Seems very un-Apple-like to not have this functionality after waiting for it for 2+ years now. This appears to be decidedly Microsoft-like to me: Un-user-friendly, to say the least. What's up?

It hasn't been migrated or switched to Mail. It has been incorporated with Mail which you don't have to create there if you don't want to. You can create a To Do in Mail - receive an email that provides or reminds you of a To Do to create, which will be available in iCal automatically, or create a To Do in iCal only if you prefer switching applications in order to do so. A To Do created in Mail can be stored locally on your computer's hard drive, or stored on the server with a MobileMe account.
Support for syncing To Do's hasn't been provided yet, which may have something to do with including Tasks with Outlook and being able to sync between the two for this data as is available for contacts and calendar events for those who sync this data on their Mac and with a Windows PC. Maybe this will be included with firmware 4.0 to be announced this Thursday.
Are there any plans to support to-do item sync from iCal on my Mac and any of Apple's mobile products in any useable fashion?
Since this is a user to user help forum only, doubtful if any fellow users know what Apple's plans are. If they did, they wouldn't be allowed to say until Apple makes an announcement, or until a firmware update is released that includes the option.
If syncing to-do data with iPhones, iPads, etc is not going to be supported then why even have it in iCal in the first place?
Because To Do's have been available with iCal long before the iPhone and iPad were released?

  • Please help with Ipad calendar app

Everyday when I open my calendar app in day view, it always show the last date when I view the calendar. It does not automatically switch to Today's date. In other words, if I open the calendar yesterday dec 24, when I open this morning dec 25 the day view still show Dec 24. The icon did change to 25 and Dec 25 is marked blue which means it knows that today is 25. However the day view still show 24. Can anyone please tell me what do I need to do to make the day view automatically update to whatever today's date is? Should I returned my IPad?

  • Problems with iPad Music App in iOS 5

In iOS5 on my original iPad, the Music app is much more difficult to use. Right now a song is playing but I have a mostly black screen and no clear way to make the album art or lists of music visible. Any suggestions? I liked the iPod app before; this seems a major step backward.

Yes, this is how I usually do it as well, however it doesn't always behave as expected when I do what you describe in the last sentence. Instead of flipping to the white song list, it remains black and blank. The tiny album in the progress bar disappears as does the progress bar itself, however music continues to play. The buttons at the very bottom all cease to function. Only REW, PLAY/PAUSE, FWD and the volume function. Leaving the app and coming back doesn't clear it up. I have to hit the home button and then force quit the app in order to regain control. Here's a screen grab of what it looks like. Truly odd.

  • Anyone else having trouble with previously purchased apps updating?

My iPhone and iPad apps are updating correctly, however, within iTunes on mac (latest versions of all 10.9 Mac OS X and 11.1.3 iTunes), hen I check for updated apps, I receive the message "all apps are up to date." I know this message to be false as my phone just updated several apps and the version on my Mac is a few versions behind. While not a big issue (I don't use the apps on my Mac, only on my iPhone), it begs the question of why this is happening and if this is broken, what else isn't working correctly? I appreciat any help and responses. Also, I've already tryied clearing the iTunes cache and also rebooting (in case any of these "standard" responses apply).

I frequently get my connection is to slow for play.
Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings.
    Restart your iPhone.
    Try again.

I went into the app store to see the purchased list to download, but I coudn't find all the old apps that I purchased.

    Hello there, Matt0o1,
The following Knowledge Base article has some good pointers to follow to gain access to your previously purchased content:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • IPad adobe app issue

PDF file stuck in acrobat.com outbox of Adobe app
    iPad using ios5.1
How can I clear it out? The icon just keeps spinning a d says its sending to acrobat.com

    Hi Frrenzy,
It might be possible that your internet connectivity get lost during saving the document to Acrobat.com . Could you please check your internent connectivity.
One more thing could you please confirm that your changes are saved to Acrobat.com server. you can check this on browser with files.acrobat.com.
Meanwhile, if your changes are saved to server , then you can sign out from Acrobat.com. This will clear the file entry from outbox.
    Thanks

  • Reporting a problem with purchased apps.

I cannot report an issue with my purchased apps as instructed on apple website.  When I clicked 'Report a problem', apple support webpage opens instead of message box I can send to support agents. What should I do?

I've done them all. When I click 'Report a problem' button next to a purchased item, instead of message box, Itunes support webpage(http://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/) opens.

  • HT204053 My wife and I have one Apple ID through which we have individually purchased apps using our own iPads. We both now have our own iCloud accounts. How do we separate the original apps between the two iCloud accounts? Will we lose any apps in the pr

My wife and I have one Apple ID through which we have individually purchased apps for her iPad and my iPad 2. We both now have individual iCloud accounts, and she now has an iPhone. For business reasons we now have to separate the apps under our individual iCloud accounts, but will maintain a single Apple ID for purchases. How can we separate the apps?

    Hi Shadow,
The apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that they were purchased under. Your iCloud accounts are also Apple IDs, so although you can sync the apps to your individual device via iTunes, you will be syncing them to the devices, not to iCloud.
Since you are still purchasing everything under one Apple ID, then I'm presuming that they live in a single iTunes library on your computer or Mac? If that is the case, then you would just want to:
Hook up a device to the Mac or computer
Select the device when it shows up under devices
Once selected, the Device Profile screens display to the right - click on the Apps tab, and select which ones you want on that device.
Also check all the other profile pages to make sure they are set up to sync the things you want to sync to that device.
On the info page, you will see that you can sync Contacts & Calendars via iCloud or via iTunes. If you want a single source for contacts & calendars for both of your devices, sync them via iTunes. If you want your own sets of contacts & calendars, sync them via iCloud.
Do you have iCloud set up on the computer or Mac? If so, which iCloud account are you planning on using?
Some of the decisions you will want to make will depend on how you have your computer or Mac configured in conjunction with iTunes. One Apple ID, but one or two User Accounts for the computer or Mac? iCloud on the computer or Mac? What do you want to share and to not share?
    Post back with any questions.
    Cheers,
    GB
