Synching photos on to ipad 2 is creating multiple images on ipad

we are synching imac to ipad and the process seems to eb creating multiple copies of the images, so we are getting up to 12 copies of each image landing on ipad 2

Try deleting the photo cache from your Mac and then re-try the photo sync and see if they then copy over - the location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page.

    Dear Community members,
I am unable to synch photo albums from iPad 3 to iTunes on my Windows 7 pc.
In addition to Camera roll and iPod cache default albums, I have 6 other albums made from pix derived from the camera roll. Eg -  Family pix in a folder, Office pix in another, Plant pixs in another, House architecture pix in another.......all also exist in the camera roll.
I have trawled the net for the last 8 hrs in vain!
I have ios5 on Ipad 3 and the latest Itunes on Windows PC.
As a precaution, I have used the windows "add pictures from...." to keep a copy in a separate folder in the windows desktop, but again it has all the pics mixed up together and not sorted as per the various albums in the ipad!
How to replicate the albums in the windows PC???
    Regards

Sync the photos back to the iPad using iTunes. You have to place the photos into a folder from which you sync photos. All photos that you want to sync to the device must be included in the main photos folder and selected to sync each time that you sync.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
Click on the Sync Photos From heading in order to select it.
Select the photos folder that you want to sync from.
Select all of the albums or photos within the folder that you want to sync.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

how can I delete previously itunes synched photos from my ipad 3 now that I use the cloud instead of synching via mac/itunes?

You will need to connect your iPad to your computer, and on the Photos tab de-select those folders that you no longer want on the iPad - they can't be deleted directly on the iPad. If you no longer want any synced photos on your iPad then you can select and sync just an empty folder.

  • I can not change the account setting in iCloud on my iPhone 4S . So it is not synching photos with my iPad

I can not get my account to change from my old and disabled email to my new one on my iPhone and get it to synch with mt iPad

Does this happen on one particular Wifi network or all of them?
If one network, can other devices connected to this network do these things?
Can the iPhone access the internet on another Wifi network?  Can it access the internet when using Cellular Data?

  • Creating multiple images to a contact sheet?

    Good morning.
I'm wanting to create an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of individual snapshots of scrapbook pages created in PSE6 - as do photographers with photoshoots.   I'd like the snapshots to be  larger than thumbnail size in order to more easily view details of each individual page that will be published in book format.
Please advise the steps to take to do this task, if possible.  I'm using PSE6 and Windows Vista Business OS.
    Thank you.

    shinlee,
There are several ways to do this. The least difficult is to go to File>print, and in the dialog select "type of print", select picture package, and there are various options in the drop down. Your version of PSE may have it arranged in a slightly different way, but it is there.
I copied down a tutorial that is used by the scrapbooking folks. It is more labor intensive, but once set up, yields a great result. In essence, you create your own templates, and populate them.
Open a new, blank file (File>new>blank file) and set width & height in the inch size of your paper stock (8.5x11"), resolution 300px/in, background white (can be any color)
Access the rectangular marquee tool, and in the the tool's option bar select "Fixed size", and put in 3.75x2.75", for example. Turn on the grid and snap to grid via View>grid & snap to grid. You can configure the grid via Edit>preferences>Guides and grids if you want to.
Duplicate the background layer, and create the first box by clicking with the rectangular marquee tool. Position the box, then fill it with 50% gray (Edit>fill selection, and under contents select 50% gray.) Select>deselect gets rid of the marching ants
Repeat for the next box. You should now have a document containing two rectangular boxes filled with 50% gray.
Select the first box that you wish to fill (with the picture) with the magic wand tool. On the tool's option bar be sure that contiguous is checked. You should see "marching ants" around the selection, indicating that it is active.
Open picture 1, go to Select>all, Edit>copy, then go to your layout as completed in step #5, and Edit>paste into selection
Your image will be larger that the rectangular box, but you can drag it around to position the person that you wish to display. CTRL+T will allow you to resize the image with the corner handles, and to maneuver it
Repeat for picture 2 with the 2nd box.
In step #4 you can set up the number and size of the boxes best suited to your purpose

  • How can I keep the order of my photos when I synch them with my iPad

Prior to transferring my photos to my iPad, I arrange the photos in a specific order.  Once the transfer to my iPad is complete, the sequence/ordering of the photos from the Album/Event never stays in tact.  I am using iTunes to manage the transfer process.  Is there a trick to making the photos all transfer in the order they were originally placed?

Thanks for the quick response.  Sorry about the lack of info.  I am using iPhoto to compile and arrange my photos.  I am using IOS 8.1.3  on my iPad.  I went as far as to include the sequence number for each photo in hopes it would sort by sequence.  But if it is by capture date etc... then I guess that won't help.  I wasn't aware that you could rearrange the order of your photos once they had transferred to the iPad.  I guess I could also create a slideshow of the photos and synch it with the iPad..  That should maintain the order...  Thanks again..

You have to place the photos into sub folders and then place those folders into a main folder from which you want to sync - using iTunes. This article explains how to do it - step by step.

  • Problem synching photos from PC to iPad air. Using iTunes it gives me option when I connect iphone to synch from ' my photos' however with the iPad it just gives me option one folder at a time. And once it has synch it if I try to synch another it just

Hi I'm not very computer literate so pls be gentle! I bought an iPad air two days ago and synch my photos using iTunes just fine.
Today for some reason I noticed all these white thumbnails on my laptop in the photos section. Stupidly I deleted all 600 of them and all my photis on the iPad immediately vanished. Later I restored the photos from the recycling bin to my photos
However now I try to re synch them there is no option to synch from ' my pictures' just each little folder ( whereas before I had a drop down box and could select which folders I wanted) however when I synch iphone it does offer the option
Anyway even if I synch each folder it will kep replacing the last one so I can only ever have one folder of photos on the iPad if u see?
How can I transfer my photos please?
And how can I get the option back of the drop down box and tick as many folders as I want?
    Many thanks

or... put your photos in "My Pictures" in My Documents, and viola, itunes syncs it to the iphone. only one sentence needed =/
maybe im missing your point here, the long paragraph is mindboggling

  • How do I create a new album in my photos on my iPad 2?

I want to organize the photos on my iPad into different albums. How do I do that without a computer?

If you have IOS5, you can create different albums on your iPad:
    1) Open Photos and Select Albums
    2) Press the Edit button in the upper right.
    3) In the upper left is an option to create a new album.
Having said that, I prefer to create a new album in iPhoto or Aperture and sync those changes to the iPad.
I would respectfuly disagree with Pavlen's final conclusion. An iPad is fabulous (from a slightly biased consumer).  :-)

Yes you can delete them. Removing them from the iPad has no effect at all on the Mac.

  • Is it possible to transfer photos from the iPad that are not in camera roll but in albums I have created?

Hi there. can someone please tell me there is a way of doing this because I was on the phone to 121 for two hours and they couldn't help in the way I wanted.
I have a customer who took his iPad on holiday and with a cable adapter used it to back up the photos from his campact camera.
Whilst he was out there he took the time to separate all the photos into albums using the standard iPad 'Photos' app. There must be 50 or so albums in there.
So now he wants to get those photos off but keep the organisation the app has allowed him to do but if we plug it up to either his Macbook pro or Windows neither the hundreds of photos or thier albums are nowhere to be seen.
The only way I can find to get them out using Macbook or Windows is to transfer photos back into the camera roll or to share them via the cloud but both ways lose the album organisation.
Obviously if there is no way to do this (which seems bonkers for a modern device) then we shall have to painstakingly do just that. It would be nice not to have to endure the hours of work is all.
    Thanks in advance!!!

  • IPad quit synching photos...

I've been very happily syncing photos from Aperture thru iTunes to my iPad. But just recently, when the sync starts copying photos I get the message "The iPad '...' cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found."
I've tried numerous things without success...
    - Restored the iPad
    - Deleted all photos from the iPad & then re-selected them for syncing
    - Repaired permissions w/in Aperture
    - Rebuilt the database w/in Aperture
I've tried syncing one small album (that I really have no interest in) and it did sync ok. I've tried syncing old iPhoto albums instead of Aperture and they sync ok. But I cannot get the desired albums/events/faces in Aperture to sync (I've tried syncing just individual albums/events/faces, thinking there was a problem in one of them, but haven't found one I want to work yet).
Recently updated to iTunes 10.1.2 -- don't think I've sync'ed changes in photo albums since that update.
    Running Aperture 3.1.1.
Suggestions? Any idea what "the required file" might be? Thanks!

Deleting the iPad Photo Cache folder did the trick, as per...
