Synching Treo 700wx (Sprint) using a DigiCert Global Problems

Does anyone know if DigiCert certificates are approved certificates? Though we have it loaded to the root, we continue to get the "The Exchange Server requires certificates to log on. Connect your device to your PC on the corporate network to obtain a certificate." We can make the synch work if I'm USB connected, but it won't work when disconnected. Any advice, direction, hints & tips would be greatly appreciated!

I can't remember the specific error you are seeing, but I know the 700wx will work with our certificates. I'm the CTO here at DigiCert, and just found your post a few days late while searching in Google. I also have this problem with my treo 700wx and I have the Sprint data plan. I have tried everything and have come to the conclusion that this is NOT part of this phone's list of things to do. I agree it should but it just doesn't. I purchased mine used but it is in excellent shape. I had a motorola clutch before and had no problems sending pic in text. SO unfortunately this phone does NOT offer this

Treo 700wx calendar not synching

Hi, I am using a Treo 700wx and have been using it to synch with Exchange for a year successfully. I recently had a problem that resulted in a hard reset of my phone so I had to reset up the Active Synch options. Everything but my calendar is re-synching successfully but even though the calendar is 'checked' for synching, it is not synching and it appears that NO calendar entries have been set. Would appreciate any advice! Thanks.

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. It sounds like there is probably a problem with the eas profile on your device. Go into the profile, start-programs-activesync-menu-options. Uncheck all boxes, for the exchange profile, then sync. Once the sync is complete go back into the profile and sync calendar only and test, if successfull then add 1 box at a time sync and test to insure data is moving. I also assume you are syncing wirelessly not thru the cable.

Sprint Treo 700wx 1.15 update IE no longer works

I have just completed the 1.15 update for the 700wx (Sprint) and IE only displays that "The Page cannot be found" for all web pages I search for. WHat settings need correcting?

It sounds like your internet connection settings have possibly been wiped out.
Try to update your Vision Profile and see if that helps to start. From the Today screen, dial the number ##3282#
That will open the Data options screen. Choose Update Profile and wait for it to update. During the process the radio will be turned on and off.
If that doesn't work, you may need to try a hard reset. You should also try calling Sprint if necessary to see if there is anything wrong with your account.

How can I change my Analog clock displayed back to a Digital one? (Treo 700wx)

Apparently on its own my phone has changed the format of its clock on the upper right hand corner of the treo screen. The clock used to read digital time but now it reads a clock with an hour hand and a minute hand. No one (Sprint) knows how to change it back to digital time. Help!

Take your stylus and tap and hold on the analog clock and you will get a drop down list with two choices analog or digital. Choose digital.

Palm Treo 700wx sync with Palm Desktop

Newbie here, so please excuse if this is already in here somewhere! I've been using Palm Desktop (v4.0.1) syncing with a Sony handheld device (Clie). The Clie died, and I purchased a used Palm Treo 700wx (Sprint) for both cell phone use and as a PDA. Darn if I can find anywhere how to sync the Palm Desktop with the Treo 700wx. Am I missing something somewhere?

Hello melemiller and welcome to the Palm forums.
The Treo 700wx, running the Windows Mobile operating system, can only sync to Microsoft Outlook. You will need export the data out of the Sony edition of Palm Desktop and import it into Outlook and then install the Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 software on your computer to sync the Treo to Outlook. If you are using Windows Vista, you need to use the Windows Mobile Device Center that is included as part of Vista to sync with Outlook.

700wx Sprint unable to read photos

I have a 2GB SD card in my 700wx and it isn't able to read the pics on the card. When I try to open the picture file (JPG) in file explorer for some reason it started giving me the error "The file 'img.jpg' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file."
I did back up all photos to my PC, then formatted my card and put them back on. Still no luck, any suggestions?

Are you using Pics and videos on the Treo to open the pictures?

I just tried 3 or 4 times, both with and without caps, and using zero instead of the letter O.

Trouble with palm treo 700wx

hi new to forum and palm treo. i had a centro but wanted a windows software phone. anyway my phone on activation was working fine, the next day, i could make a call but i couldnt hear anything nor could anyone hear me. i messed with it and found that i could hear through the speaker, but cant even use it that way now. did both the hard and soft reboot, no help. any ideas, i was messing with the phone that night tryin to learn how to use. did i screw up a setting or something

thanks for the reply, the sprint store agreed with you that it was hardware related and exchanged it for a new 1. i had purchased it on ebay and got the insurance when i activated it, so i now have a brand new 700 for less than a hundred and no contract.
1 more question, is it possible to get stereo sound out of the 700 headphone jack?? i tried the adapter that i had bought for my daughters rumor, but only mono sound. what can i do??

TREO 700WX Battery

On two separate occasions, my TREO 700WX battery has rapidly lost its charge at a rate of 10% per hour or more with minimal or no usage. This causes me to virtually need to carry a power cord. For inexplicable reasons on both occasions the loss of battery power ceases spontaneously and the charge is then retained normally. Has anyone else had this problem? Verizon is at a loss and the retail stores are useless.

Over the past 2 weeks my battery in my 700wx (Sprint) has started doing something like that also, and it also won't take a charge. I leave it plugged in all day at work and all night at home and it continues to lose its charge and now it's completely off and won't charge back up. I've only had the phone and battery 3 months, which seems like very little time for a battery to die. I have only been charging it at home over night. Now I charge it all day at work and still nothing. I don't use it enough for the battery to run down daily like it's been doing and especially not enough for the battery to not charge. Is it possible I got a bad battery and what is Palm's warranty policy regarding batteries.

Treo 700WX new digitizer will not power up.

I recently replaced my old, scratched digitizer with a new one. After carefully following the directions on replacing the digitizer, the end result was a dark screen. I tried reinstalling my old digitizer and now it will not power up. Interestingly, I can still use the phone to call out, however, the key pad will not work to connect to incoming calls. I hear all the normal sounds but no screen. Can anyone help me or do I have to shell out $$$$$ to Sprint?

Attachments "removed" before email is received Treo 700wx Verizon/Yahoo! mail

I have a Treo 700wx and use Verizon with Yahoo premium mail service. I can send and receive emails but any attachments on incoming mail is "removed" before I receive it. I actually have a message at the bottom of my email that tells me attachments have been removed! Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Is it an option I need to change on my Treo software or what? I receive the attachments fine on my desktop when logged in to my Yahoo account. And I called Yahoo and they verified that their ssytem is working properly.

My Palm Treo 700wx seems dead

Hi im hoping someone can help. This morning i found my son with my treo700wx and when i took it off him it now will not turn on or reset or anything, i plugged it into charge and nothing, no lights no noise ....nothing.
I had the keyguard on, if there are many failed attempts at that would it lock me out completely??
I have tried everything i can think of so any suggestions would be a great help please

Thanks for the suggestion, tried that just now and still nothing. It has me completely stumped!
It has been flashing on and off randomly last night, coming to the Treo loading screen then the windows mobile screen then seems to fizzle out again. I cant turn it on none of the buttons seem to do anything. Yesterday when the screen flashed on it also said that there were a few failed attempts to put in the keyguard code and to make sure it was just mistaken button pushing to enter the code A1B2C3, i did that and everything seemed fine, it went back to normal, i could go into messages and look around and then it has now gone back into hibernation never to be woken again!
It hasnt gotten wet so i have no idea what to do. Does anyone have any idea how long the warranty covers these phones??
Any other suggestions would be awesome

I just bought this unit and have found no way to send pictures I have taken on it to another phone...it will only allow you to do this by email? Am I missing something? Help please

Treo 700wx Calendar/Task Reminders Stopped Working

I have had to do a hard reset on my Treo 700wx about five times over the last couple of months because my reminders stop working for task and calendar items. I still get the voice command which tells me about the upcoming appointment, but no reminder appears and if I miss the voice command for whatever reason, I do not get prompted at all about the appointment. Same problem with tasks.
This is a frustrating problem and I'm near the point where I am simply going to tell Sprint they need to replace my device with a new Palm based OS. I should not have to do a hard reset every few weeks and then reinstall/reconfigure my device.
Since the main draw of these devices is for time management, I fail to see why Palm has not come up with a solution yet.

I am having similar issues with my Palm Treo 700wx (Verizon) Today it was reminding me for calendar appointments which were scheduled at 11:50 and it reminded me at arround 10:30 when I had set it to the nromal 15 minutes ahead of time
This has gotten very annoying!
