Synching uimodel with the viewobject

Is there a way to synch a uimodel with the viewobject ?
The issue I have is, I have several attributes in my viewobject that I do not have the need to use in my application, I want to remove those attributes from the viewobject and anticipated that the corresponding uimodel (viewiterator + display attributes ) will update itself or their will be a manual synching mechanism, but I haven't have luck with any of the two ...

I'm almost positive that you will have to manually remove these attributes from the uimodels. You can confirm this by looking at the list of columns in the <pagename>uimodel.xml file. If it's not correct, then you go into the uimodel for the page (structure window), edit the table binding editor entry, and just click apply/ok on it. Then, look again at this uimodel.xml file. The other columns have been removed.
Of course, if you have individual attribute level bindings, you will have to remove them manually too, just click them and select delete.
If you've added columns, you do a similar thing in the front end, shuttling over the new columns in the table binding editor, or drag/drop an attribute binding on the page.

Problem with synching audio with the metronome!/Background tracks

I'm trying to record a bassline (real bass) from my Lexicon Firewire interface (FW810S) into Logic Express 8.
Even though I'm not hearing any latency with the playback, and I can totally play it on time, when I go to listen to it back, I hear the bassline totally ahead of the metronome. Somewhow it's out of Synch.
What can I do?

See the "Recording Delay" slider. It's set to -5000, Set it to 0 <zero>
How did it get set to the negative like that, I think default is 0.

Synching problems with the new itunes and iphone and outlook

I downloaded the new version of itunes and now my outlook conatcts are not synching with my iphone 4S. I have added some new contacts and they do not appear.

New user - how do i synch movies with the iphone

hello i have just purchased an iphone and before this i had been creating movies as mp4 files to transfer, however whn i connect to itunes i am able to transfer the files from a purchased show that appear in Tv shows but the files that appear as movies dont have an option to sync?
any ideas?

In order for video to be transferred to an iPhone, the video must be in an iPhone compatible format.
For a movie that you created, select the movie in iTunes and at the iTunes menu bar, go to Advanced and select Create iPod or iPhone version. This will duplicate the video as an iPod or iPhone compatible version.
If you are using iMovie on your Mac, when you export a movie, there should be an option to export the movie to be compatible with an iPhone or iPod compatible version. With iMovie 09, the options are Tiny or Mobile for the size to be compatible with an iPhone, and Medium to be compatible with an iPod.

How can I keep the order of my photos when I synch them with my iPad

Prior to transferring my photos to my iPad, I arrange the photos in a specific order. Once the transfer to my iPad is complete, the sequence/ordering of the photos from the Album/Event never stays in tact. I am using iTunes to manage the transfer process. Is there a trick to making the photos all transfer in the order they were originally placed?

Thanks for the quick response. Sorry about the lack of info. I am using iPhoto to compile and arrange my photos. I am using IOS 8.1.3 on my iPad. I went as far as to include the sequence number for each photo in hopes it would sort by sequence. But if it is by capture date etc... then I guess that won't help. I wasn't aware that you could rearrange the order of your photos once they had transferred to the iPad. I guess I could also create a slideshow of the photos and synch it with the iPad.. That should maintain the order... Thanks again..

Synching Contacts with Outlook 2010

I am running Outlook 2010 on a brand new computer. I am running iTunes version 9.2.0.61 and iPhone version 4.0.1. I have had no problem synching my contacts with my phone until today. There are 3 "contact" folders in Outlook: all called "contact" but 1 is associated with my e-mail address on microsoft's MAPI server; one is associated with my wife's e-mail address on microsoft's MAPI server; and one resides on the desktop in an "outlook" folder. As of yesterday the two MAPI folders were empty and all of the contact information was stored in the outlook folder. But today I entered a new e-mail address in the "to" field of an e-mail. When I synched my iPhone it erased all of the contact information on the iPhone and replaced it with the single e-mail address I had entered. When I checked the computer I saw that the new address had been placed in my e-mail MAPI contact folder. I removed it from the MAPI folder and put it in the "outlook" folder but the iPhone will not synch with the outlook folder. I have tried synching it several times and it just produces an empty contacts file. But it had been synching successfully with the outlook folder for the previous several days until an entry was made in the MAPI folder. What do I do now to get all of my contact information back on the iPhone?

URGENT: Problem with the viewlink

Well the problem that I am facing now is with the newly created ViewLink. Let me explain the current situation. I have two viewObjects (say view1 and view2). These viewobjects are independent. I have used these viewobjects in one jspx page. Now I newly created a viewLink (say viewLink1) , making the view2 dependent on view1. I have added viewLink1 to the application module. But there has been no change in the data being generated on the jspx for the view2. Do I need to undo the previously used view2 and use the viewObject that has been newly generated under the viewLink in the DataControl Palatte? Is there a way through which I could make the independent viewObjects communicate without undoing the previously done things?

Thanks for your reply John. But I couldn't get the required solution. Let me explain the problem more clearly. I have 2 viewobjects. Initially i used both the viewobjects without any viewlink . I din't want the two viewobjects communicate with eachother. But now due to requirement , I had to create a viewlink between the two viewobjects ( I have mapped a common attribute of both the view objects in the viewlink). So now when I select a particular row in the first viewobject, it has to reflect the data in the second viewobject (since I created a viewlink). But this is not happening (since I am not using the viewobject under the view2 via view1 viewlink). The data in the second table is getting reflected if the used the viewobject under the view2 via view1 viewlink. But this requires me to delete the existing table which uses the view2 object and replace it with the viewobject present under the view2 via view1 viewlink. Is there any possible way through which the I could make the viewlink work without deleting the previously created table ?

Compressor Cinema Craft plug-in. What to do with the audio side?

I've recently installed the Cinema Craft plug-in into Compressor 3.5. Great for improving the quality of my DVDs.
But what is the best way to organise the audio compression side and synching it with the output from the Cinema Craft plug-in for the subsequent burn?

I use the 3 prong lead and I still have the tingle; but sometimes it disappear in the same place (same electric plug). How do you explain that?

Outlook calendar synching issues with iPhone

My work Outlook calendar does not seem to be synching up with the calendar on my iPhone. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

In that case the sync is with Exchange, not with Outlook. Both Outlook and the iPhone sync with Exchange, which is the master copy.
Which is more current, Outlook or the iPhone?

Synch iPad with iTunes

I just bought myself an iPad and wanted to synch it with the rest of my Apple gear thru iTunes. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing all sorts of trouble doing this.
The versions of software does not match. First I upgraded my iTunes, then to install this, it says I need the latest version of Ios 10.6.8.
Is this a paid FW upgrade, or can I download this somewhere?
This is really tiring as I cannot synch my brand new iPad and get full usability, if the devices cannot be synched.

Hi Lisa,
I know from experience that this must be a frustrating situation for you especially if you don't want to loose the music/video content that is currently on your ipod. Unfortunately though you may have to consider re-syncing it as it thinks its currently synced with another computer.
If you bought any music that is on the ipod through itunes you can opt to right click the ipod in itunes and 'transfer purchases' if you authorise your library in the 'Store' menu in itunes. Some reasons for this happening may include some of the following:
Deleting and reinstalling your itunes on the computer.
Removing the account you had on the computer you used itunes in and making a new one. (User account, eg: Lisa).
Changing computers in the past.
A friend or family member syncing it on their computer to give you there music.
A sign of a failing iPod.
Alternatively you can opt to not sync it and keep the music that is on your ipod there but this means you will never be able to update your ipod.

Are you wanting to import iCal to the MacBook Air. Since iCloud doesn't work with 10.6 OSX you probably don't have any data in iCloud yet?

An icloud account is designed to be used by just one user. If you have given your ID or set up your account on someone else's device, then their data will be mingled with your or worse.
