Hi,
the webservices call are implemented asynchron, so if you
call method A, the result will be received by method B. But maybe
it's possible to wait in method A, until the result comes?
something like that

the result is received

    I would like to use XI exposed Webservice Call to SO create IDOC.Can we get the response as SO Number . As i know that IDOC is asynchronous but is there anyother way to make in synchronous  ?

    you can check the idoc creation and acknowledgments using Ale audit.
    You have to use bpm for your scenario Since Idocs are always Asynchronous.

  • Mapping SOAP Fault during synchronous SOAP call

    We are building a mediated service scenario where PI is brokering a synchronous SOAP call, without changing any of the information being sent or received (the mappings use the same source and target data types with no transformations).  When the service is successfully executed everything works as expected, but when the target service returns a SOAP fault, PI appears to be wrapping the fault in a separate fault before returning it to the client.  Why is this happening?  Is there a way to simply return the SOAP fault to the client without adding the additional wrapper?
    Here is the fault received from the target service when called directly:

    Why aren't they the same?

    are diferents coz the first is a fault message and the second is a exception message.
    to send back the fault message define a fault message for both structure and map them in a new message mapping. later in the operation mapping or interface mapping  (depends of the pi version) under fault message or fault mappinng (i dont remember) tab assisg the fault message mapping.
    thats all you need.

  • Synchonous webservice call is missing xml schema information

    Hello,
    We migrated an interface to a new PI server. All repository objects were exported and imported. The interfaces is working fine on old PI environment but on new environment we get an error:
    From an Integration Process we do a call to a synchronous webservice via a soap receiver communication channel.
    In the old envrionment we get response back with right message content and:
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    In the new environment we get response back with right message content but without:
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    The first message mapping needs this XMLSchema information and throws an error:
    RuntimeException
    during appliction Java mapping
    com/sap/xi/tf/_______
    Thrown:
    com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException: The prefix
    "xsi" for attribute "xsi:type" associated with an element
    type "ns0:responseOut" is not bound.
    I expect this error is thrown because this XMLSchema information is missing in webservice response:

  • Synchronous webservice-Acknowledgement

    Hi Experts,
    I have a scenario where I need to communicate between a synchronous webservice and an Idoc(async).
    Webservice Interface:(Sync)
    Sender Message: Webservice Response
    Reciever Message: Acknowledgement
    Reciever Interface:(Async)
    IDOC: ACC_DOCUMENT
    The Webservice response message will be mapped to the IDOC.
    The acknowledgement message also needs to be sent to the webservice as a response and that ack depends on the value of the webservice response field value.
    Please suggest any design to execute the same.

    U can design in two manners
    1. The webservice execution could be done before message processing at XI, and directly webservice response is sent to XI to be mapped to the Idoc data. Here no ack handling would be required.
    2. Use a SOAP client which sends data to XI. Make a sync call to webservice to fetch its data (Again 2 options exists, use BPM or use SOAP lookup). Now the response received can be mapped to Idoc structure.

    Hello Michal,
    Currently direct connection is only for the adatper. Since abap proxies don't recide on adapter framework this cannot be done. But you never know. For the first time SAP is using the term Service Bus  in the presentation. This opens up a whole new space. if SAP is moving away from a central hub design to a more ESB(enterprise service bus) then there are new features to be explored.

  • Session between multiple Webservice calls from PI7.0

    Hello XI SDNers,
    I am unable to overcome my Webservice session problem using SOAP (Axis) adapter. My scenario is as follows:
    I am calling a external Webservice deployed in Axis webservice engine from PI7.0, during my first call:  I call synchronous "Login" webservice and I became the response "User is Logged in"
    during my second synchronous call "GetItem", the webservice returns "The user doesn't have valid session". The two synchronous calls are executed from same scenario one after another!
    I lost my session after the "Login". Is there any way in PI 7.0 to maintain the session?
    Note: I tried the same scenario using XML SPY SOAP client, it is working!!!  it is maintaining the session between multiple webservice calls.
    Is there any suggestions to overcome this problem?

    Hi Satish,
       We are working on the same sort of scenarios, where we have to call more than one webservice in a sequential fashion using the same session id details.
        What we did was we built new xsds adding session details node using the webserive request and response xsds. And we are maintaining a sessions table which contains session id and  status fields in PI. So we send webservice request with the session id details. We wrote an UDF to get the session details from PI and set the status field as busy so that no other request uses the same session details.
       Webserive response again contains the sessions details which can be used for the next webservice request.
      Finally after all the calls set back the status to Active in PI table.

    how much is this different from the use of webservice?Web-service standard is based on SOAP whereas the scenario which you are referring is for synchronous request-response over HTTP (generic or standard based like ebMS). SOAP defines both packaging and transport methods for web-services so any system implementing SOAP communication must adhere to the SOAP protocols whereas the blog which you are referring is talking about one form of transport method only which has nothing to do with SOAP.
    Sync request-response is one type of communication method which is also used in SOAP but the sync request-response which B2B supports as of now is not part of SOAP communication.

  • Error in the workflow which executes background synchronous webservice task

    Hi,
    I am very new to SAP Workflows. I created a workflow with one activity step in it. The activity step actually executes a task TS77000300 (synchronous calculation - its an SAP task). When I test it. I get an error "Error when starting the service" with exception 8987, area SWF_HTTP and message 125 - Object WEBSERVICE method PROCESSBATCH cannot be executed.
    I checked in WF_EXTSRV tcode, there is an entry for the background synchronous webservice task.
    I checked in SWLWPTSSID table, there is an mapping between task-id and service id from WF_EXT SRV.
    I am not sure where its going wrong. Any help resolving this issue is appreciated. Thanks a lot.

    Thanks Gurprit for the direction.
    Even if I execute the the workflow( WS77000647 from SAP). The first step invokes Process Dialog which asks for three numbers and two operands. When I input all the input params and click calculate button, the second step which is actually the background synchronous task, results in the same error in the workflow log and in the Process Dialog page browser it says "Entries sent for calculation" with the same input screen.
    Am I missing anything here to run background synchronous task? Any help regarding this is appreciated.

    I could not yet find any standard defined webservices for this purpose.

    there are Webservice APIs on the level of EP-KM (here called IMS for "index management services") and on the level of SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search. The TREX engine itself does not expose any APIs for project development.

    You will get either a system error/application error raised if there is a problem processing the SOAP request without the need for BPM.
    You can then raise an alert from the RWB if this occurs.
    If all is OK with processing, you will get the standard chequered flag.

    Has anyone worked on Inspire. I am working on a typical scenario integration on primavera with PS.
    But when I do start sync I get " could not start Synch. Error during webservice call"
    When I check Sender SOAP CC in SAP PI in RWB , I get no information. It's status is green and no logs. Also SXMB_moni has no logs.
    Is there a problem with my Sender SOAP CC confihuration .or application has failed
    Can anyone help me on this.

    there is a Setting for the usage of RFC accesses from a tested system
    using eCATT.
    'X' - Use asynchronous RFC calls during test run for remote accesses
    ' ' - Use synchronous RFC calls during test run for remote accesses
    I developed an eCATT as following :
      SAPGUI ( SAPGUI_1 , Target_system_1 ).
      SAPGUI ( SAPGUI_2 , Target_system_2 ).
    My question is how to run the eCATT in a synchronous RFC calls
    PS: I do not want to change the Target_system to the same one in the
    above script of ecatt.Because I need to run it in 2 different Target
    systems sometime.
    for example, I give a Target_system_3 when run this eCATT
    I want the SAPGUI_1 and SAPGUI_2 run the Target_system_3 but not the
    Target_system_1 or Target_system_2 .
    Could you please tell me how to make it without the changes in script?

    This is the standard option value. Asynchronous are not the standard way and used only for very special purposes.

    The commands will be executed in sequence. So each call will be synchronously replayed against TS1 and TS2.
    What is you issue with this standard procedure?
