Synchronisation of audio books iTunes iphone
in iTunes i can generate a selection of my audio books i like to synchronize with my iphone. the synchronization works perfectly.
unfortunately the selection is lost for a next synchronization and it synchronizes the whole audio book list. otherwise i have to select again. with around 100 audio books a little bit nasty...
is there a way out?
All I can say is you are not alone. I downloaded a book From Itunes Store and it downloaded in to Recently added and show's up no where else. It is not added to the Audiobooks area and you would think that because I purchased it might go in the right place. Also just FYI if you download a mpeg movie it disappears as well. And although you imported it in to your library it disappears and can not even be found with the search tool in itunes.

After much trial and error, I have finally unlocked the mystery of how to remove Audiobook files from the iphone without changing the file name or type. Here are the steps:
1. Plug in your iPhone to your computer
2. Launch iTunes
3. Click on the left-hand menu option that says "books"
4. All the audiobooks (such as iTunes or Audible) will be here with cover art for each one. If you right click on these titles, you will have the option to "Uncheck Selection" or "Check Selection" depending on whether or not it is on your iPhone.
5. If you want to remove an audiobook from your iPhone, simply right click and select "Uncheck Selection"
6. Sync your iPhone
7. If you are still having problems, you have probably changed your sync options for music. Change them so that you are only syncing selected items(there are 2 different places to control these options, the "Summary" tab(which should have the "Option" "select songs and videos..." checkbox checked) and the "Music" tab(which should have the "selected playlists, artists,..." checkbox checked).
8. Magically those pesky audio books that you know and love are no longer on your iphone
9. Write Apple a nasty email and ask why $10 million in audiobook revenue hasn't warranted a software change to make this easier to understand and do.I don't know how many contacts you have, but if it is a reasonable # maybe you can enter all of them into icloud and have them sync to your device going forward.

I just bought an audio book for my computer and I updated my IPhone and the software but I cannot get it to load onto my computer. I have my cloud network set up and have updated the phone to the cloud under the same account but still no dice.
It should be possible to do this. You would need to turn off automatic syncing. This will allow you to manually sync the ones you want from within iTunes.

Can not access audio books itunes via Mycloud
I have no problem in Mac itunes selecting the MyCloud and everyone sharing the music. However, I can not get the audio books to work. I was able to use the MyClould as an external drive to offload large iTunes Libraries for users on the network. That work's. However, when I put the audio books into the Public Music file, or a folder with the aubiobooks into the Public Music Folder when I select MyCloud from the iTunes application and select audiobooks it says no audio books to select. How come this is not working? How do I get the audiobooks to share on the network as the music files do? Thanks
It is generally not recommended to put media files in the "Public" folder even though the WD My Cloud User Manual recommend it. The reasons for not using the "Public" folder are discussed in the [FAQ] Twonky DLNA Media Server Setup & Use thread. It is advisable to read that thread to understand some of the quirks of the Twonky DLNA media server. Ensure your audiobooks are in a format that Twonky supports. This link has a general list of supported Twonky media file formats. Ensure your audiobooks are properly tagged (metadata). If they are not Twonky may not display them properly. If one is using MP3 formatted files they can use a free metadata tag editor like MP3Tag to edit the metadata for their audio files. Lastly if you have moved a large amount of media files to the WD My Cloud, it will take the device quite a bit of time, sometimes as long as 24 or more hours, to scan the media and update or build the Twonky media server database and the iTunes server database. If one continues to have trouble with the media files not being found, try rebuilding the media databases by selecting "Rebuild" under Settings -> Media -> DLNA Media Server -> DLNA Database and selecting "Rescan" under Settings -> Media -> iTunes-> iTunes Database. Rebuilding the database(s) may take a considerable amount of time.

I deleted an audiobook from Itunes on my computer, emptied my trash, they attached Iphone 5s to computer to sync computer to Iphone thinking that by deleting the audiobook from Itunes, the audiobook would then be deleted from my Iphone. It's still on my Iphone. How do I get rid of the audiobook on my phone?

Getting audio books off iphone and on to iTunes!
Hi I have recently bought a few audiobooks off iTunes on my iPhone. I want to get them on to iTunes so I can use them on my iPod. When I plug my iPhone into my mac it sees it fine and I can see the audiobooks on the phone but I am unable to get them off the phone onto the mac!

I can find the book in my account history from March 2013, but I can't find it as available for download. I have enabled automatic downloads. I tried to purchase it again and iTunes confirms I've already bought it. What am I doing wrong?
You get one and only one download of audiobooks.
It will only be where you put it. If you bought it on your iphone, then you should have transferred it to your computer - File>Devices>Transfer Purchases -
Synching audio books to new mac
Trying to synch previously purchased audio books to new mac. Old mac dead with no back up but have audio books on iPhone. Read that can only download an audio book once from iTunes (not good news as have quite a library for the kids) so how can i transfer the audio books from my iPhone onto my new mac?
By 'mediathek' do you mean a new computer or a new iTunes library on your old computer ?
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download, so you will either need to copy them over from your old computer/iTunes library or from your backup and add them to your iTunes via File > Add To Library. Audio book downloading problem
When I attempt to download an audio book, itunes downloads forever with no progress. It works fine with music, just the books. I can't seem to figure out why. It was fine, I have downloaded several audio books previously, and music since, but now have two books waiting that will not download. Any suggestions?
