Synchronisation Problem, data reset in Web AS

We are within the deployment of MAM 3.0. We had the problem, that after the initial sync we where not able to synchronize a second time.
This was due to the high data volume we use, and sent to the mobile devices. SAP provide us the solution to use Data Packaging, and it works.
For the already deployed mobile devices, we are not able to change the parameter. Packages in Merep_MON remain in O-Waiting, and we are not able to synchronize again.
Is there any other solution apart from deleting the mobile devices in the Web AS and do a new installation on the client, to reset the data in Web AS for that clients?

Hi,
if you reset the data on the client (on the settings screen) and set the data packaging there as well - then it will work.
This will delete all inbound and outbound queues for that device - so I am pretty sure that even with your setup it should work. I will be surprised if not.....
Have you tried that?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to open external list.
Please change the External Content’s connection properties’ Authentication Mode to BDC identity.
Then launch the SharePoint 2013 Management Shell and run the PowerShell commands to remove the error.

Hi,
I have followed the steps in the following link:
Make an External List from a SQL Azure table with Business Connectivity Services and Secure Store, but I keep receiving the following message when I try to access an external list:
"Unable to render the data. If the problem persists, contact your web server administrator"
Note: I'm using SharePoint 2013 ONLINE, and (as far as I know) I have no access to the logs & powershell.
Any body has had the same issue before?

Try changing the External Content’s connection

Missing data when exporting webi to excel (not 65536 limit problem)

Hi guys
I just meet a problem about webi that it will miss data when exporting webi to excel.
It's not about 65536 limitation, as my webi report do some aggregration and limitation and never beyond that limitation.
Also there are 2 tabs in my reports, if I split the 2 tabs into 2 separate reports and export them separately, then problem disappeared.
Any ideas on this?

Tools => Import and Export => Specifying the Sequence of the External Data Structure => External File Structure: Specification
Table EST07 should be part of export file. I am not sure if the packing requirement ist part of EST07.
Furthermore wirh ECC 6.0 EnhPAck3 some changes happend generally in the area of DG classification.
E.g. Dynamic dangerous goods classification. I am not sure if these changes are "included" in some sense in the EH&S data download.

I believe packaging requirement is part of table EST0B but this is part of the download file.

Help needed urgently, i'm pulling my hair out on this one!
Using SharePoint online (365) I am trying to create an external list to a SQL table. I go through the steps in SP designer and finally create the external list but when I go to the list I get the error:
Unable to render the data. If the problem persists, contact your web server administrator.
I have read all of the posts on here to fix this and they are mainly for on premise; the powershell doesn't work with spOnline and I have added permissions into the BCS service application but nothing works. I read that it is not possible to connect
sharepoint online to an on-premise SQL database so I moved the SQL database to an azure SQL service server but I still get the same error.
I have a "test" on premise sharepoint which I have tried this on and it works fine so it must be an issue with SPonline! does anyone know how to get BCS connections to external data working in sharepoint online as external lists?

Problem with Activity Data Collector with web dynpro

Hi Gurus,
We try to use the Activity Data Collector to create portal statistics. We activate the service, define the file formats, and files generates successfully. After that, we load those files into BI, and create some query. Analyze queries look the following problem:
There is a web dynpro application which in portal (in web dynpro iview), and the log files non contains every hit.
For example, 2000 users used this application, but the log files contains only 13 users.
Can yout help me, what is the problem?

Did you create activity reporting service similar to below link.

If you have used it. Activity reporting service which you created will not record the Webdynpro activity. I think the above one is more of KM reporting service.
Try creating activity report with below link. But portal version required is EHP1.

I have a replacement Note 3. My Vodafone SIM, which worked fine in the original, fails in the replacement. When I try to access Settings, the menu briefly flashes, then the phone reverts to the home page. Will a Factory Data Reset fix this?

I have a Note 3 and a Vodafone SIM that are not playing well together.
The history is:
I got my Note 3 over 2 years ago. We visited Italy 2 years ago and I bought a Vodafone sim at a Vodafone outlet. Everything worked perfectly during that trip and a subsequent trip to France.
Last October, I had to replace the Note 3 because the camera was failing. I had insurance, so the insurance company sent me a refurbished Note 3. When I tried to use the SIM last December, the Note 3 had problems. When I put the SIM in and started the Note 3, the phone recognized the sim (but gave me an error that, according to Verizon, is spurious). I could make phone calls but I could not access the data network. In order to access the data network, you have to go into Settings. More Settings, Mobile Networks and set the Access Point Name.
With the replacement Note 3, I cannot access Settings. As soon as I try to access Settings (with the Vodafone SIM installed), the Settings menu appears and then immediately the home screen comes up. After working with Verizon for over an hour, I was able to get into Settings and set the access point name by booting into Safe mode. But as soon as I rebooted into 'normal' mode, Settings failed and I could not access its menu (to turn on wifi, for example). There are a couple of other apps that did the same thing - but I cannot remember which ones.
I have talked to Vodafone - they have no clue. I talked to a Samsung rep I ran into at Best Buy, he thought the Vodafone SIM might be corrupted. And now a Verizon tech I talked to last week thinks it is a firmware problem on the phone and I should do a Factory Data Reset.
Have you ever heard of this problem? What do you think might be causing it?

On2CO, I'm glad you have reached out to us today. Thank you so much for the very detail description on what is going on with the device. Sounds like there might be an issue with an application that might be causing these issues. The reason I say that is, when the phone is in Safe Mode you are able to access the Settings screens with no issues. While in Safe Mode that does block all 3rd party applications from running on the phone. I would suggest on trying to back up the device and perform a factory reset: http://spr.ly/6-182Vuo (you would want to make sure to uncheck Automatic Restore in step 3). Once the reset is complete try to see if you can get into Settings. Then, I would recommend on adding 3rd party applications back on to the device one by one to see if we can find what app might be causing this issue. How to create a date range in Web Application Designer

I am using 3.1 version of Web App Designer. I need to create a report with date ranges. I can get one date to work but not two (I need a start date and end Date). My Query has 0CALMONTH with a variable for Interval. When I select it as a dropdown (??) in Web App Designer, I only get one date prompt in web app designer.
Any suggestions??

Dates coming from web service

I'm currently trying to consume in VC a CAF Application Service exposed as a Web Service. I'm able to retrieve what I want but I have a problem with dates format.
The web service returns dates in the following format: YYYY-MM-DDTHH:NN:SS
When I test my data service in VC it works fine. When I run my iview, VC swap the month and the day and compute the new date...
It's not just a problem of formatting with DVAL and DSTR because the date is already computed.
Example:
Date returned from web service: 2007-09-21T00:00:01
Date returned from test data service in VC: 21.09.2007
Date returned at runtime: 09.09.2008
VC understand 21.09.2007 not like DD.MM.YYYY but like MM.DD.YYYY so 21.09.2007 becomes 09.09.2008
I also tried to check on the server Regional and Language option but it doesn't come from there.
Have you ever faced this problem?

It is a Web Service generated by NWDS (to expose my CAF Application Service)and deployed on the server.
The url si like http://<hostname>:<port>/mywebservice/Config1?wsdl
The Web Service runs correctly.
When I call a method of my web service to retrieve a list of objects (CAF Entity Services) and their attributes, it returns attributes of type String and Dates of type 'java.util.GregorianCalendar'.
It seems that VC doesn't correctly understand this type of Date at runtime

Unzip data received from web service?

In my Apex 3.0.1 application I am trying to obtain data from a web service. The problem is that the returned data is first zipped and then encoded using base 64 coding.
I can decode the data using the utl_encode package and if I download the result, I can unzip it using winzip to get the original XML message. However, I need to unzip the message within Apex in order to process the content. The Oracle package utl_compress provides uncompression functions for the LZ compression algorithm but this does not seem to be the same as winzip etc.
Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have.

One way would be to use a Java stored procedure to perform the unzipping.

Time and date reset bug

hu guys, recently ive been experiencing a time and date reset bug, sometimes when i open up my computer it says something like your date is set to (i forgot the exact date but the year is 2001) so i change it back to the correct time and date, im not sure how i got the bug, can anyone help me fix this problem, its beginning to be annoying. thanks in advance!!

Those symptoms indicate that you need to get your backup (PRAM) battery replaced.If your computer does not retain parameter RAM (PRAM) settings when it is turned off, this generally indicates that the battery needs to be changed.;~)

I have searched the forum and found simular topics which are resolved by adding some lines to the classpath.
How do I set the classpath? Do i have to use the classpath parameter from command window? How can I know which classpaths to include (libraries)..

But im still geting the same error. I have tried to include all the libraries in JWSDP pack but still.. I have managed to narrow down the place where the error occures.. It actually happens when I try to get the WebService Client Servant which is located in the package LSC:

Problem to create a web album

Hi,
I'm using LR3 for a couple of weeks and I'm facing problems to create successfully a new webalbum. After Keying in the ftp-server details LR3 is unable to upload the pic's to the server. I've tried to upload the pics via Filezilla which works perfectly fine, means no problem with my provider or data connection or even with my iMac.
Has anybody experienced any similar issue and probably you know how to solve the problem?? Please share with me your knowledge. Thanks a lot!!

If John's solution does not resolve the issue, then you should be able to get a free upgrade to LR 4.1 if you purchased v.3 recently, which should resolve all problems regarding to online web albums.

Add external data sources to Webi 4.1 (xls, txt)

Hello,
What is the best way (if any) to allow my users to add in their external data sources to Web Intelligence 4.1? So that they can join this with Universes or just create stand alone Webi reports from their own External sources like Excel spreadsheets, .TXT or CSV files?

We are actually using 4.1.1 (service pack 1) and when I'm logged in as the Administrator with 'Full Control' to Webi I only can select the following data sources (see attached):
- No data source
- Universe
- BEx
- Analysis View
I can upload both Excel Files and Text Files to Webi no problem via --> Documents --> New Local Document but can't seem to access either of them by using any of the above data source selections.
With 4.1.1 is there another access level or privilege I need to enable to allow folks to get at external sources? If so, how?
