Synchronisation problem of ERM roles with SAP BACKEND

In GRC could anyone please let me know what is OPEN bug regarding Sync ERM roles from backend and is it still a issue .
Anyone experiencing this, I am using GRC ac v5. 3 and sp13 ,

Hi Folkvar,
There might be specific issues but as general there are very few. I recommend you to reply with the exact details on the current setup, i.e., the role setup in your landscape (parent roles, derived roles etc) and other information such as your current setup etc., Incase if you have started sync'ing the roles, post the exact error message so that some expert can guide you towards a resolution.

Problem in CMC login with SAP authentication type

Hi,
We have installed the SAP Integration kit successfully for BO XI R2 & when I logon to CMC i am able to enable the SAP authentication and import the roles from the SAP BW system as well. But when I try to login into CMC using the 'Authentication type' as SAP it doesn't display the textboxes for entering System ID and Client details. Can you please tell me how to fix this?
Also I see that the CMC & Infoview authentication type drop down list are not the same. The CMC has the authentication types available as 'SAP,LDAP & Enterprise' where as Infoview has 'Enterprise, LDAP & AD'.
Is this an issue with the Plugins? do i need to do some settings on the Tomcat ?

Thanks for your update Jac...yes thats correct. Also I had to include authPlugExt.properties file in the tomcat/shared/classes, which i did not include previously. The SAP infoview is working fine now.
Just one more question, in CMC login doesn't the SAP authentication require sap system & client id as its inputs? (in XI R2). I noticed that I was able to login with SAP user id's (without mentioning system details) , that have been added when I have imported the SAP roles to BO.

Problem in ERM Role Creation in Authorisation Data

While creating ROLE in ERM, in Authorisation Data - i selected a
Functions say PR01-Vendor Master Maintanance,next when i click on Trasactions tab no trasactions are displayed to select,
If i added transaction manually also not adding to the trasactions list.
We are using java version SP13 with latest patch level.
I configured 3-background jobs:
1. Org Value Sync
2. Transaction/Object/Field Sync
3. Activity Value Sync

How to synchronize Identity System Roles with SAP Roles?

Hello, experts!
Could you give me an advice?
I'm trying to perform role syncronization between SAP R/3 and Identity Manager, but the default task definition (Resource Role Synchronizer) can't find a
SAP resource (for example method getResourcesSupportingObjectTypes can't find resource with attribute type activityGroups (SAP Roles)).
Do you have an experience with syncronization SAP and IDM Roles ?
How it is possible?

Mapping SRM Portal roles with SRM backend roles

Using ABAP as UME when we create a user in SRM backend and assign backend roles, then corresponding portal roles should also get assigned to the
user so that portal roles are not to be assigned separately by portal admin.
Currently for the requirement I followed the following steps:
1. To SAPJSF user in SRM backend assigned roles SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATIONand SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO.
2. Created a RFC SPML of type 'G'.
3. Activated UME-SPML connection in SPRO.
4. Then in PFCG for the role personalization assigned PCD path of portalrole.
But I am not able to achieve the requirement through the aforesaid steps.

If you are using ABAP persistency for UME your ABAP roles should appear in the UME as groups. Just assign the portal roles you need to your ABAP roles/groups. Thats it,

Problem in Transactional iView with SAP GUI Type

Hi,
I've one Transactional iView in which I'm opening one SAP report. This report can be downloaded using option Local File. Once I click on this option, one popup appear where format can be selected and afterward file can be downloaded.
Problem: Once I choose SAP GUI Type in Transactional iView is SAP GUI for HTML then it wouldn't allow me to download file and just hanged, once I click on popup download.
But same is working once I choose SAP GUI Type = SAP GUI for Windows.
Can someone suggest me, what is the problem exactly?

Solution Provider Role with SAP?

Hello, I'm new to SAP, but not to ERP systems or software solutions for manufacturing. Our company provides custom (C#.NET) MES, MRP and production software solutions for industrial manufacturing. We are finding more clients using SAP and therefore we are needing to interface and share data with their SAP(ERP) system. Do we need to be a Content (or other) Partner in order to understand what interfaces are available and how to use them? We have worked with other ERP systems and used MSSQL, XML, and Webservices to exchange data (no partnership needed), does SAP have similar interfaces? I find the website info on the Content Partner pages entirely too verbose to make any real sense of what our options (or requirements) are. Any input would help. Thanks.

One more Problem with SAP query

Execution of SAP query transaction is leading to Dump
the dump says Field 'R01' contains no fields, syntax check on the program shows same error.
When I tried regenerating the Query in SQ01
" Query Specification cannot be use to generate list
Ranked list contains only numeric fields

I am not sure what business process you are describing here - is it some kind of third-party sales order? If so, your join is wrong.
From VB E P, firled BANFN and BNFPO you can go to table EBAN, where in field EBELN you will find the number of the purchase order (if somebody already had an MRP+Me58 run over the PR) which will lead you to table EKKO, and EKPO.
So what we have here (essentially is):
VBAK -> VBAP -> VBEP -> EBAN -> EKKO -> EKPO
But that only solves one of your problems - you still have a long way to go to get invoices, partner and partner roles into there and I am beginning to ask myself what exactly it is you want to evaluate.

BO authorization model with sap roles / access tot folders, functionalities

Hi Specialists,
As authorization cunsultant in BI, I have little knowledge of the security setup in Business Objects.
I have to setup an authorization model were the authorizations are assigned via sap roles in the backend BI system. These roles are imported in BO were they can serv as 'user groups' and access to folders, functionalities.
Can anyone provide me a overview, guide, training document... on how the authorizations are managed in BO and best practice when they are linked to sap backend roles.
The goal will be to user the sap BI backend roles and user them to grant users in BO specific access to specific folders. Eg; User A can access folders 1 as "refresher only", User B is able to publish reports in folder 2, User C has only view access in folder 2...
Any help would be great!

Hello,
this is the best approach you mentioned here.
I prefer to create roles serverd as functionalities in the Backend. For Example you have a "View" role, a "Refresh" role and so on.
On the other hand i saw some setups where there is only on role in the Backend with all the BO Users. Then you have to create you functional groups in BO and have to assign the Users there to the Groups.
Check the Adminguide of BO XI 3.1 for more Informations.

ERM Role Export with multiple languages

Hi All,
I have an issues where role download program /VIRSA/RE_DNLDROLES exports the roles with all text languages included (if the role was maintained in multiple languages).
Then when I mass import the roles into ERM (AC 5.3 SP10), the upload program gives an "unknown error." After several hours of testing I figured out that that eliminating all but one of the multiple role language texts in main role file will allow the roles to be uploaded sucessfully.
It seems that the function module /VIRSA/RE_BAPI_DOWNLOAD_ROLES should be changed to include a language parameter.
Anybody ever have this problem?

Hi All,
I found a workaround for this issue, I'm posting it for posterity then will close this post within a couple of days. I would appreciate to know if anyone has run into this issue too, it can't just be me?!
First, the download of the main role text file from /VIRSA/RE_DNLDROLES stores the file as ANSI text type. At least that is how my Windows PC opens it. IF the role was maintained in mulitple languages with special language characters like ü, ô, ê, é, è, à, ò, ä, ö, then GRC AC 5.3 SP10 ERM gives me an "unknown error" when trying to do the mass import. To fix this issue, simply save the file as text type "UTF-8" or anything but ANSI. The ANSI seems to work fine for plain english.
Second, roles with multiple language versions get all the languages squished together in the long description. I had one role with a Japanese, English, German, French and Italian long description BUT each maintained in it's own language. During the upload, all were imported into ERM and grouped together in one ugly text.
I fixed this (although not ideally) by modifying Function Module /VIRSA/RE_BAPI_DOWNLOAD_ROLES used during the download:

Can SAP GRC AC 5.3 connect without any problem with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise?

hello,
I went to the PAM in the SAP Marketplace to see if SAP GRC AC 5.3 could connect to SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise but I can't see all the "Add-On Product Version for...", it's cut off.
Can SAP GRC AC 5.3 connect without any problem with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise?
If I can't is there any proof about it? I have to show it to a client.

GRC AC 5.3 works perfectly fine with SAP's R/3 4.6c, mySAP ERP 4.7 and ECC systems. In fact we have two 4.7 Enterprise systems connected to GRC AC 5.3 system.
You can get the details of supported SAP ERP systems under prerequisite section of Info page of GRC AC 5.3 , it can be accessed on marketplace at -
Downloads-->Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group > SAP Solutions for Governance, Risk, and Compliance>SAP GRC Access Control>SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL>SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL 5.3
Just ensure to have proper BASIS and ABAP support pack level as mentioned in prerequisites.

Installation of SAP Netweaver 7.0 with SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70 backend

Hello everybody,
I need to install an SAP Netweaver 7.0 environment for a client who is currently using SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70. However, I couldn't find any document about the compatibility of the two.
Does anybody know if it is possible to connect these versions of Netweaver and R/3?
Could you please tell me where I could get some documentation about it (for example : intallation guide of netweaver with SAP R/3 4.7 or docs about netweaver and R/3 4.7 connectivity) ?

The final need is to be able to create purchase requisitions or purchase orders in the enterprise portal with a simplified user interface for users who are not used to working with SAP and don't have the SAP client installed on their computer.
So they will use their web browser to connect to the portal and create the requisition for example. Then we wan't the data to be stored in the R/3 backend et other users will validate the requisition and deal with the rest of the process.
The second step will be to study the benefits we could get from installing Adobe document services and creating an adobe interactive form to simplify even more the user interface. The users would then fill the data for the purchase order or requisition directly in the form that looks like the form they get when printing.
I saw that we have to install the "R/3Plug-In 2004.1" in the backend to use our SAP 4.7 as a data source for the Portal.
Do you know if there are other steps to perform in the backend before we link it to the portal ?

Problem with SAP GUI for HTML

I am creating a SAP transaction iView with SAP GUI for HTML. I have give the Transaction code VA01 but when i execute the the iView it is displaying the SAP Easy Access screen in html. Can any one suggest me how to rectify this error and display the required transaction in html.

Hi Basha,
Try this in the browser:
http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/va01?sap-client=100(XXX)
1) It will ask for the username and password
2) Enter the credentials and it should directly take you to the VA01 transaction
If it fails again, try this:
http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/vl31w?sap-client=100(XXX)
This should display the "Create Inbound Delivery NotificationTitle Create Inbound Delivery Notification " sreen."
If it faisl again, there is some problem with the way the ITS has set up. Check with your basis.
