Synchronisation Problems - LR5 Continually reports new pictures to Import, even after syncing
I have noticed this happening more and more. I move an image folder in to my Pictures hierarchy that LR is managing. I then "sync" to get LR to recognise the folder and put in to Index... which happens OK.
However, If I sync again immediately, there are a whole bunch of other images that LR seems to count as needing importing, a small fraction of which actually seem to get re-imported again.
I've tried rebuilding catalogue - doesn't seem to be any different.
Are there perhaps some output images somewhere that are causing problems?
Or anything else obvious I am missing?
My thanks to Rob, Peter and DdeGannes for comments and advice. I eventually ended up contacting Adobe re the problem, and after a number of unsuccessful attempts to get LR5 working using the 'original' catalogue we deleted the old catalogue and recatalogued. This overcame the problem and LR is up and working again. Fortunately recataloguing wasn't an especially onerous taks because I've only just started using LR and the catalogue wasn't excessively large. Unfortunately we didn't manage to figure out what the cause of the problem was, but it doesn't appear to have been a corrupted video or photo file because all photos/videos are now catalogued without change. Nor does the problem appear to have been due to starved resources as the recataloguing was completed without freeing up additional resources. However, the point was taken and I've now freed up some resources. Perhaps the problem was a corrupted preview - but I guess we'll never know! Regards.

I changed the default application from Imagecapture to iPhoto
I connected my iPhone
I opened with iPhoto and - after a long wait - the latest pictures appeared in iPhoto
then I went back to Imagecapture and suddenly the latest pictures appeared too.
I noticed that the new photos has been named with lower number than expected, so having order by name made the latest pictures "invisible"
I switched to ordering by date and I found them
I wonder only why suddenly, after upgrading from 3.1 to 4.1, the names of pictures aren't progressive but went back from IMG_3248.jpg to IMG_1745.jpg
did I overwrite older photos? -
New ios 8.0.2 cannot import pictures to laptop from iPhone 5c
I just replicated it. If I accidently pull down notification center (or on purpose), it will no longer be possible to stop the alarm through normal means. If you cannot pull down the notification center while the alarm is sounding, your phone is set up differently.
My alarm and notification center are set to default settings.
I did discover that toggling the vibrate switch will turn it off but I’ve never noticed that feature before. So at least, there’s a workaround. I doubt this is the intended behavior, however.

Problem with the scale of pictures when importing.
I have taken 250 images which I will edit into a stop motion film. however, I've encountered a few problems.
The biggest problem is that when I imported the images into the timeline they were severely magnified and not even centered in the frame. as you can see by this screenshot:
This is a big problem. You'd think I wouldn't have to go through every signle image and scale it down to correctly fit the frame..... right?? It's not even centered which means I have to scale and move and be very accurate and it's going to take so many hours to do! What is wrong here, how do I fix it so that when I import the images, they are the correct scale?
problem 2: when i put the images in the timeline they were "backwards". As in, the last image was first in the timeline and the first image was last. It's like the program is TRYING to make my life a living hell.I upgraded to cs6 and imported all the images together, I made them 3 frames per and exported them. The problem is slightly improved but still there. I'm still getting flicker.

The problem has to be with my settings. when I upgraded it deleted all my prefrences and settings. There was no dslr preset either so I had to redo it all from scratch to the best of my ability. Here is a complete rundown of my settings:

I initially posted the first batch - 23 to itunes using the free version of Lemondreamz' Podcaster. I then posted the next batch, importing the Podcaster feed, into Reinvented Software's Feeder software. But now here is my problem ...
it won't refresh the information on iTunes, or upload any of the new episodes. And now, having spent 2 months trying, I am more confused than I was when I started it.

This of course brings up a web page which obviously iTunes does not recognize. I can't say how tit comes to have this address. However the feed you link to has this tag in the top section:

And this will have redirected iTunes to a non-existent feed at that address.
Furthermore, the feed at

reads in Firefox and validates in FeedValidator, but I could not subscribe manually to it (from the 'Advanced' menu in iTunes) - iTunes complained it could not find the file. I can't explain this unless your server is doing something very odd.
I'm afraid you are now painted into a corner. In order to get iTunes back on track you would have to place a working feed with the redirect tag at the URL it now has, and I doubt you can do this.
This leaves you with only two options: one is to abandon the podcast (you should ask to get it removed - details here: you would need to change the title slighly or you will be told it has already been submitted.
Your second option is to ask the iTunes Store to redirect the feed to the actual feed address: I have to say they are often not very helpful, tending simply to send back standard answers (or redirect you back to this forum), but someone did manage to get this done so I suppose you lose nothing by trying. Their Support is at http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'.
However, you first need to get the feed working. You should test it choosing 'Subscribe to Podcast' from the 'View' menu in iTunes. If this isn't working there's no point in following either option until it is. I can't explain why it's working in browsers but not in iTunes: if you have some sort of redirect in place to another URL where the feed is actually situated (such as a web.me.com address used with Personal Domain) try manually subscribing with that.
On top of all this, the links to the media files in your feed, e.g.

don't work and bring up your domain name provider's 'not found page. -
As stated previously...I have removed and re-installed Firefox, but am still getting "script error" when shutting it down and going to "restore session" when opening. Please advise what to do about this problem. Thank you.
Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.

The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem. -
I am using my brothers itunes account and syncing my Iphone with it. Now i have created my own itunes account. If i sync my phone to the new account will i lose all my apps? Any way i can keep the existing apps and sync my phone as well?

Mozilla Crash Reporter keeps popping up forever even after disabling "BreakPad" via application.ini
I've edited the registry using regedit, changed the DWORD entries of CrashReporter/SubmitCrashReport to 0. Edited application.ini file "enable=0" etc, etc. Reinstalled numerous times. Ran CCleaner numerous times. Tried a system restore. Nothing seems to kill off this highly frustrating Crash Reporter pop-up window. All I get is occasionally it gives me an option to use safe mode. Generally I get no-where. Turns what was once my favourite and best browser into the absolute worst. Hope there's a Mozilla tech out there who knows the software in and out who can advise on programming out this terribly broken feature.

I am using Firefox 14.0.1
I currently have "Never remember history" selected in the Privacy section underneath Tools->Options. I have even used the clear all current history option.
When I click the plus sign to open a new tab a history of the sites that I have visited is appearing. This is after clearing the history and closing all instances of firefox and opening it again.
I'm guessing that the "new tab" is using something other than history because when I type in a website it is not suggesting my recently viewed websites...as expected history was cleared.
I'd really like to know how to clear my entire history including the one that is used on the new tab section.Did you drag a bookmark or history item to slots on the about:newtab page?
Changes manually made on the about:newtab page are stored in the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder under the pinnedLinks key and blockedLinks key.
If you delete the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder then you need to reset the <b>browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone</b> pref via the right-click context menu to the default on the <b>about:config</b> page and close and restart Firefox to assure that the chromeappsstore.sqlite file gets initialized properly.<br />
Otherwise the about:home might not be working.

Why are songs appearing in my pictures on my laptop after syncing
I have had my iphone 5 since March this year. I have never had trouble with my syncing with either until itunes did a recent update. Since then every time I sync my iphone to either icloud or my laptop, all sorts of music from my itunes library ends up amongst my photographs in my pictures library on my laptop. It appears the more I play on that day the more appear on my laptop. Its getting to the point where it is taking up a lot of space and i have noticed that even as far back as last October, there are now music/itunes files within my photos - that never used to happen!!! It takes an eternity to delete them all and I am getting a tad frustrated!! Any ideas anyone??? Cheers
Here are typical layouts for the iTunes folders:
.ipa files are your apps and should end up in Mobile Applications. .itc2 files are cached artwork and should end up in the Album Artwork folders. These are normal parts of the iTunes library and should be left alone. I can't tell exactly what you did when you connected your device but it looks like you allowed iTunes to transfer your purchases into your library. This is a good thing. If your iPod was lost, stolen or damaged, you would have the files needed to rebuild your setup on a replacement device.
The iTunes folder is normally created inside your profile's Music folder, with the iTunes Media folder inside iTunes. If the files in question are appearing outside of the normal folder structure outlined above then perhaps you have the wrong setting for the media folder.

i have a new pc when i connect my iphone to itunes it syncs ok but things like pdf's and videos will not go to my itunes library. They show up on the phone though ? when i downloaded itunes to my new pc all my purchased stuff was there but nothing else. Hope ther is a way to get them onto my library again.
Try File-Sharing. Go to that app on iTunes, scroll down and it should show the stufff you downloaded from your iPhone. Save it to your computer and then find that location of where the files are saved, then add it to your itunes and then sync.

Plugged AE directly into my stereo. Continue to get flashing amber light even after resetting.
My iMac is connected wirelessly to a Linksys router. I can see the AE in wireless connections but I cannot get AE to the green light. What I am missing?

I have forwarded flow of execution in first line of my servlet.
request.getRequestDispatcher("xx.jsp").forward(req,res);
my class looks like:
servlet
line 1: request.getRequestDispatcher("xx.jsp").forward(req,res);
line 2: some code
line 3: some code
Now what happens that even after execution of line 1........ line2 and 3 gets executed.
But after execution of line 3 flow is forwarded to xx.jsp.
How can i avoid execution of line 2 and 3.
