Synchronisation problems since Office 2013

I have a BB Curve 9300. I have recently installed Office 2013 (and Windows 8) on my PC and now cannot sync my BB with Office (calendar, notes and contacts only). Email works fine. The dialog box says that the BB cannot detect the PC.
Is this a coincidence? Can anyone please suggest any help or contact details of BB that could help me.

Currently Outlook 2013 is not supported in BlackBerry Desktop Software. I do not know when it will become supported.
This would be the main reason why you're having trouble synching.

Display problems with Office 2013

Hi all,
I have deployed Office 2013 on a few laptops (some old, some new, all running Win7 x64) without any problems.
I have some users who use dual monitors, connected using USB-to-VGA devices by (among others) Star-Tek, HP, and Matrox.
In every case we've tried, the Office app seems to display OK on the external screen, but mouse clicks and keystrokes don't reach it, ie you can't actually do anything at all. Sometimes the display is corrupted, ie windows are not properly drawn, pieces
are missing, especially if you drag the pane around on the monitor.
Drag the open app window back onto the local laptop display and it starts to work normally. No error messages are seen.
What's going on here?
I know O2013 needs DirectX 10, but I doubt these old laptop displays support that properly anyway. The hardware is IBM Thinkpad T61's at the oldest - on their builtin display all is well - but we've seen the same effect on newer Thinkpads (Edge 15, Edge
320, Edge 520), HP ProBook, Dell Latitude, in fact every single one I have tried.
I don't find any references to this issue on line, can anyone provide a pointer? Just now it's a show-stopper for deploying 2013.

Thanks a lot, I must have tried about eight different external graphics adaptors before finding this.
Bit of a black mark to MS here, imho. Surely it would better to assume that the latest-and-greatest graphics hardware is
not present, but can be turned on if required, rather than to assume that it is present, but can be turned off if not required? Or even detect it somehow?

Not Read Receipts Since Office 2013 Upgrade

Hi,
We have just upgrade to Office 2013, form Office 2007. and we appear to be having some issues with Read Receipts, if we ask for a read receipt on a mail, as soon as the mail is sent we receive a not read receipt as shown below.
"Your message
To: Ian Hart
Subject: RE: Consignment No.
Sent: 24/04/2015 12:01
was deleted without being read on 24/04/2015 12:01."
I know that the mail are being received as I have sent a test mail from my work outlook 2013, to my own outlook.com and it was received fine although I did receive a not Read receipt on my work outlook.
if we resend a message with read receipts we do not get a not read receipt, could any one make any suggestions

I have looked into this further and the issue seams to be with the Read Receipts.
I have sent an email with a Delivery Receipt and that delivers fine and I get a Receipt
I have sent a mail with only a read receipt and I get a not read receipt as shown in the post.
In not sure if the error is accruing because we are sending to email accounts/ exchanges that have had the read receipt function disabled or if it is a problem full stop.

A read receipt informs you that your message has been opened. However, do not rely solely on these receipts. In Microsoft Outlook, the message recipient has the option to decline to send read receipts. There are other scenarios where read receipts are not
sent, including if the recipient's e-mail program does not support read receipts.

Problem with Office 2013 documents after PC resumes from sleep

Have a number of PCs in a work environment that exhibit the following error messages when they are woken from a sleep state and the user was working on a Word or PowerPoint document via a network share.
PowerPoint error: The file you were working with was modified during suspend mode, and the original version is no longer available. <file path and name.ppt> must be re-saved.
Word error: Word cannot establish a network connection with this document after the system resumed from suspend mode. Save the document into a different file to keep any changes.
Having searched the error message I can see that hot fixes were created to fix the issue in Word 2007 and 2010, but nothing seems to relate to Office 2013.
All the PCs have the latest OS and Office updates.
I tried the NetworkAvailableTimeInSeconds reg fix from this link - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2626998/en-gb , and obviously applied it to the Office 2013 key, but to no avail. The additional steps talk about applying the available hot fix, but this
is not applicable to Office 2013.
Information:
All PCs Windows 8.1 Enterprise and Office Professional Plus 2013
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue with 8.1 and Office 2013, and yes, Office is at SP1 (15.0.4631.1002). I've likewise done the Reg fixes suggested for 2007/2010, but still have the issue. Any insight would be appreciated.

Visio 2007 launch problem with Office 2013 installed "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Visio..."

Running under WIN7-64 bit with Office 2013. Requests reinstall every time it is run. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No change. Office 2013 does not recognize that Visio 2007 is installed. Copy paste operations between Visio and Word 2013 don't
work. Tried disabling sharepoint access for Visio 2007 and did a repair for Office 2013. No change.Tried various compatibility modes. No change. Ran Microsoft troubleshooter which verified there is a compatibility issue but provided no solution.
Tried the following...
Type the following command, and then press Enter:
reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Visio\Options /v NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1
no change

Based on the situation, I recommend you try to use locale administer account to login in the computer.

Office 2013 Startup Problem with NEW Win 8.1 Install and no prior Office Version

Although I have seen similar threads on the forum, they all seem to address a different scenario.
My environment is as follows:
Intel MotherBoard with I07 max processor
64GB RAM
512 GB SSD Boot drive on which Windows 8.1 was installed as first and only O/S. It was validated
4TB HDD on which User directory and programs installed (those which permit drive selection in startup)
4TB data drive.
Machine was built from scratch with Win 8.1 Pro plus Media Center
Office 2013 Pro Plus was installed and validated
Machine is running in an MS AD Domain whose PDC is running on Win Server 2008 R2
User is a member of Enterpise and Domain Admin group
HERE'S THE PROBLEM,
Any Office 2013 Pro Plus application (Not Just Oulook) goes through the configuration step EACH time it is launched.

Try repairing Office in Control Panel -> Programs and Features, check the result.
You can also try this:
Go to the install folder, such as C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15, find the .exe file for the application, let's take Word for example, WINWORD.EXE, right click on it, send the shortcut to Desktop, right click the
shortcut -> Properties -> Shortcut -> Advanced -> Check "Run as administrator" -> OK -> OK.
Start Word from the shortcut, you may need to go through the process again, reboot the computer, check if it will show up again when you start Word. If the problem doesn't exist any more, do the same to other Office applications.

Technical problem in ms office 2013

When ever I open the files, the corresponding one launches but the file does not open. Some times, even
if the file opens (which is very rare), the file stops responding in a minute or when ever I click enable editing.

Does this happen to all Office applications? What if you try to open from FILE>Open, instead of double clicking the files directly?
Have you ever checked the event log? Does it say anything useful?
If this happens to all Office applications, I would suggest we first check the file associations in the system. The quickest way to reset the file associations is to repair Office program from Control Panel. Please have a try and see if issue persists.
Also, a lot of problems with Office 2013 are caused by third party (non-Microsoft) add-ins/applications, it would also worth a try in Office safe mode. Just hold the "Ctrl" key, then double click an Office file,
and see if it works.
If you can open a file in this way, then the issue was caused by third-party add-ins. We should disable and isolate the conflict by turning off each add-in one at a time under FILE>Options>Add-Ins.

Office 2013 (Mainly Outlook) Ribbon Menu Display Error

So i have created a MDT System Image for deploying Windows across our Business we are currently using Windows 8.1 32/64Bit Office 2013 SP1 now i have recently updated the image simply to install the latest load of Windows Updates so we are not installing
a load of updates when imaging a machine. a lot of our users are reporting issues in Office mainly Outlook but Word has the issue also, the Ribbon bar has Pixelated Display issues and one would have to close he application and re-open to resolve.
Now i have uploaded two screenshots to my box account and shared the images below as you can see from the screenshots it looks to be a display issue but it is only the Office Applications that fall victim, once you change to something else it dissapears
but this is happening a few times a day now. i have blanked out with black boxes the secure information from our relevant party's they are separate to the issue.

I would suggest you start Outlook in Safe Mode to determine if it's 3rd-party add-ins related:
Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter.
If there is no such problem in safe mode, disable suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this problem.
Since you have mentioned that you also meet this problem in Word, I doubt if it's related to a setting in Office:
In any Office application, such as Outlook, go to File -> Options -> Advanced -> Display -> Find "Disable hardware graphics acceleration", have you checked this box? If no, check it and click "OK" to save the setting.
This option is added since Office 2013, and it's global, once it's set in an Office application, it applies to others as well.

Office 2013 + Terminal Server Environment + Windows Server 2012 R2

- Problems with Office 2013 (excel & Word) when use Roaming Profile (By Citrix) and folder redirection.
Environment:
2 x Windows Server 2012 R2 with Terminal Services installed and Office 2013 Professional Plus. Also this server are memeber of environment of Citrix XenDesktop 7.1
Problem:
In two servers I have installed Office 2013 Proffesional Plus and I have try to access to excel by Citrix.
When I open excel with roaming profile (by citrix) activated, when I began to write I get a pop-up with the message:
"Microsoft Excel cannot open or save any more documents because there is not enough available memory or disk space"
And when I try to save the document I get the same message, and excel "crash" and closed.
If I stop the roaming profile service. All works properly.
The tests that I had made were:
- Change DCOM config with correct permission.
- Repair Office 2013 Installation.
- Disable Protected Mode.
Anybody could help me???

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders and modify the key Cache with a valid path (ie: C:\Windows\Temp ).

How to remove Office 2013 (Click to run) package?

I am having problems removing Office 2013 sequenced using Click to Run and is published to the machine as per MS guidelines.
It's a member of a connection group with another application.
I have tried many things:
get-appvclientpackage | stop-appvclientpackage | remove-appvclientpackage.
get-appclientconnectiongroup | remove-appvclientconnectiongroup
The connection group and both applications remain.
Error reported is that the application is still in use (no idea which one as it doesnt say). Task manager doesn't seem to list anything running from any virtual environment. I have tried viewing 'processes from all users' also.
I unpublished the connection group and the applications from the App-V Management Server, then retried the above commands which didnt work.
Tried rebooting after doing all the above, then retry PoSH commands and that didnt work either.
Any ideas?

Office 2013 key not working

Funny thing happened.
My customer (I am IT sys admin) bought Office 2013 business (recommendation from the previous I.T.) Anyway he got his computer reinstalled because some problem with motherboard, computer returned back from the store and as I tried to install office it said
that the office isn't paired with his account.
Is there any way to describe to which account is this office paired either, how to unpair the office from the account and pair it to customers account ?

Did you mean you have problem reinstall Office 2013 on the same computer?
Office for a retail version can only be installed once at a computer, if there is significant hardware change to your machine, it will be considered as a new computer you will need to contact Microsoft Customer Service and they will help you to activate
your Office suites.
As far as I know, we cannot directly find out the related account for Office suites, however we can install from the following site with our Product keys:

Compatible smart view version 11.1.2.1 and 11.1.2.2 with office 2013 x64

I'm trying install smart view version 11.1.2.1 and 11.1.2.2 in version x64 the microsoft office 2013. Both errors occur incompatibility.
In the documentation the smart view, says nothing about the compatibility with the version of office 2013 x64, because this version of the smart view was launched before the office 2013 x64.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?

As the log, MSGR2CZ.DLL and wwlib.dll were both of the Microsoft libraries,not the third-party libraries. Thus, we need to analysis what happened with the dump file. But, it is beyond what we can do in the forum. I recommend you open a ticket with Microsoft
engineer.

HP Officejet 4500 Ethernet / Wifi Driver Problem (blank fields) with Office 2013

Hi,
I have an Officejet 4500 (Ethernet) and I have exactly the same problem as lots and lots of HP Printer owners!
Everytime I try to print on Office 2013 + Win 8 64-bit, the Printer window comes with strange "Asiatic" symbols, and not the original language (Portuguese or English, I tried both). (Note: my father has exactly the same printer I have and he already had some problems also on Win 7 + Office 2010, then I deleted all HP drivers, installed again and it solved the problem)
I already tried the menus you people talk about but in my model I do not have such options. I already installed everything again and again...and always the same problem! With another printer from another company I have no problems with the drivers on Office, so it must be from HP Drivers that do not get along with Office 2013!!! Please update them as soon as possible...
