Synchronization of files in CCDesktop

The synchronization of files in CCDesktop works fine on my iMac with Maverick, the documents I see them synchronized in CCfolder of my iMac. I see them also synchronized in the Safari browser on the user page dedicated to me and I see them also in sync in the app for iPhone CC. But you do not really see these documents in my laptop MacBook Air with Maverick. This is the problem.

While I was waiting I contacted customer support in Italian "chat" by the help of CreativeCloudDesktop I solved the problem.

My iPad2 cannot synchronize with iPhoto on my Mac, error message "...cannot synchronize. File not found"

Have upgraded my iPad to an iPad 2. When synchronizing with my iPhoto Library (8500 photos) on my MacBook I get an error message saying "...cannot synchronize. File not found" (transalted from swedish). It works well with my iPad. I restored the iPad2 tand began from scratch but the problem reocurred.

i have similar problem too. it seems the problem is from iphoto 08.
i have two ipad 2-
ipad A:
new ipad with new sync with 6 photo album with iphoto, error occurred.
restored iOS to 4.3.3, problem still exist.
ipad B:
synced 6 photo album with iphoto no problem for a long time.
tried to de-select album 1 and synced, no problem...
then re-select album 1 and synced, error message occurred.
my solution:
copy album 1's photo to desktop, then copy the desktop photo back to iphoto album folder...after that, i can sync back album 1 to my ipad.
i have no idea why iphoto has such problem on some of my photo albums =(
Do anyone have a more clever solution?

Datasource XML: how Synchronize from file?

i''ve a XML datasource that it works fine, and i've an interface that move some content of this datasource to an oracle database.
All work fine, but only on the first execution. If i do some changes on XML datasource (in XML File, add or update elements) and execute again the interface, odi doesn't replicate the changes. If i close odi and try again, it replicate the changes.
Then, i read in the user's manual that i should activate "SYNCHRONIZE FORM FILE", it's true? I go to the XML Driver Configuration Documentation, but the only option that he explain is edit some java code to do this (edit the Java code of Driver).
I think (and i hope!) that is possible to do this different, like add a parameter in JDBC Connection URL, or something similar.
Can anyone help me?
PD: if i deploy the interface in a package or in a scenario, i've the same problem.

I haven't this problem and I have search a solution for a while.
I can't explain you cause I have done a lot of change and at the end it works...
So I just can paste my URL hoping it could help you:

If I remember well the ro (read only) and the dod (drop_on_disc, drop automatically the schema when closing the JDBC connection.) options are important.
dod option must be the last option of the URL.

Synchronize system files between nodes

Hello!
Is there a way to set up some synchronization of system files, such as /etc/passwd /etc/shadow etc between cluster nodes?.. Or we should use name services such as NIS, NIS+ etc?..

There is no out of the box feature that would synchronize those files between cluster nodes. It is the responsibility of the admin to ensure they are equal across cluster nodes.
While it is possible to use external central name services like NIS or LDAP, note that you would need to make sure those central nameservices are HA as well, if they get used by cluster nodes. Otherwise you would introduce a single point of failure.
In general we recommend to have users needed to operate (start/stop) the application within the local files, while application users could be within an external nameservice.
Of course there are tools like rsync, cfengine, unison, etc which could be used for such tasks - but be careful - not every file likes to get synchronized 1:1 either. And this is then also a source of failure - once an error is in one file, it gets distributed to all nodes at once.

Satellite A50-532: Synchronization / Offline-files

Hi,
I am using a Satellite A50-532 and I want to make files available locally / offline that are stored on a server. I used to use the XP build-in Offline-files functionality with my old laptop which worked without any problems. Unfortunatley it does not work with the Toshiba as I can't see the data on the server in the tree-structure in the "Synchronization"-window. Right click menu item "Make available offline" is not offered by XP. I already disabled the "Quick user change" as suggested by MS. Firewall and Network problems can also be excluded.
Can anyone help?

Did you configure your Toshiba notebook to use Offline files?
If not you can configure it on this way:
Click Start, and then click My Computer.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
Select the Enable Offline Files check box, and then click OK.

LR 1.2 fails to import/synchronize new file exports

Since upgrading to LR 1.2, I find that after exporting (converting to Tiffs) raw Canon files, LR does not see these files when I do a "Synchronize Folder" command. The Synchronize Folder dialog box grays out "import new photos" and shows zero new photos, even though I just exported new photos to that folder.
This appears to be a bug in LR 1.2. Does anyone know a work-around until this gets fixed. Or, have I overlooked something?

Jao, as a general rule I always want to see exported jpegs or tiffs in LR library. My ideal is to not have to use the file browser in Windows to manage files. I want to know if I have jpeg or tiff versions of a raw file. Otherwise I might end up creating identical jpegs, when I receive a request for a particular file. Since my jpegs are created from raw files adjusted in LR's develop module, I have been considering deleting the jpegs after sending them to the client who requested them, that way I don't waste hard drive space on files that I can easily recreate. Even in this case, I would like to see them in LR, so that I can delete them after sending them to the client.
I create tiffs for two purposes. One is to edit in PS, which automatically gets recognized by LR. But some times I create tiffs that are used in assembling an HDR file. I want to see these in LR, otherwise I need to open the Windows file browser and navigate to the folder to see the tiffs.
I prefer to work in a single program so in general I would like LR to be able to recognize other file types such as Acrobat or InDesign files. The more the better as far as I am concerned. LR could have a preference that would allow turning off the display of other file types, so users who don't want this will not see them.

The first thing - did you grant right for the client user/group for your application?
I use OLite-application approach quite extensively in our system and came to closing that the OLite tools for application management are useless. The simpliest and most error-proof method how to maintain applications in oracle lite is to create the application JAR manually and publish it using the web frontend. It's also better to maintain the application upgrades manually.
Each application must have web.xml and setup.inf files in its JAR file. So the structure of MyApp.jar should look this:

/files/myfile.exe
The files directory isn't neccessary - you can place the files of your application anywhere in the JAR you want.
The web.xml file defines only some basic attributes of the application + the definition for data synchronization - I strictly separate the data and application, so I have my web.xml files look quite simple like this:

The setup.inf file defines what should exactly the installer on the client device do. It defines what files should be copied to the device, what values should be set in registry etc. You can find more info dealing with inf files in the documentation - Administration and Deployment Guide - Section 8.11, "Installation Configuration (INF) File". Very simple setup.inf file (just copy single file to the device) can look like this:

Synchronize a file on two Macs

I'd like to run Quicken Essentials on both a Macbook and an iMac, which means I need a way to keep the data file synchronized on the two computers. Both are on the same WiFi network. Is there something built into Lion to do this? Or is an third-party app required? If it's the latter--suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

but on local storage. I am sure people will chime in saying how
secure some of the web storage solutions are.
Well it is, until it is hacked.
I personally use a USB memory stick that I sync such information
and then to my different computers. You could sync across your network
between computers using various software. My choice is a perogram
called GoodSync. I use it for pretty much all may backup and project
syncing needs and works quite well. If you work across network between
the computers, make sure you have specific access to just that folder
that contains the data and prevent any other access other than yourself.
Obviously, you don't want read permissions enabled for anyone else.

I recieve an 'Unresolved Item' error whenever I try to sync with my XP desktop, if there are any .pdf files to be synched.
Under tools, Advanced Tools File Conversion Properties I have discovered
there is an entry for .pdf files on the tab Desktop to Device. However there is no entry on the Device to Desktop tab, nor does There seem to be any way to add a Device to Desktop Conversion entry
This problem first occured with Reader 1.0, I have since uninstalled 1.0 and upgraded to 2.0, bu the problem persists.

I mean, if you try to read an untagged PDF on your mobile device, the experience is very much like not reading it.
So, the problem IS the tagging. Switching it off is the workaround, but not the solution.
I have the same problem. So far, I was not able to solve it.
I completely deinstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader 2.0 to no avail. Other persons (see above) even destroyed and recreated the relationship between the PC and the mobile device to no avail.
Is there anyone out there who ever solved the problem?

Synchronization problem(File)

I am thinking that if I get a list of files, File[], and try to do some processes with those file. But if one of the files is deleted before it's started to be processed, then I think JVM will give me an exception.
Is there anyway to lock the file or change it to read-only ATOMICALLY?

How do I synchronize two files?

I have a little experience editing video files, but this is the first time I am editing two files into one video. They are files of an interview. Each of the two participants had one camera and one mic. I can get the two files to almost sync up, but one is just a tad behind the other and I would like to get them exactly in sync. I try to remove tiny chunks of one to get them to line up, but I can['t get the chunks tiny enough. I would pot down one or the other's audio, to get rid of the echo, but if they were in perfect sync, that would not be so much of a concern. Will someone help me here? Do they need to be perfectly aligned?

Unfortunately, you have posted to the Tips & Tricks sub-forum, which is a repository for how to do things in PrE, and does not see much traffic. Maybe our MOD, Steve Grisetti, will move this out to the main forum, so that more will see it, and can comment.
PrE does not directly support Multi-cam editing, like its big-brother, PrPro, does. With PrPro, you can lock the sync and have dual Program Monitors to facilitate the Multi-cam editing.
For Audio OOS (Out Of Sync), this ARTICLE will give you tips. For syncing both the Audio & Video from two sources, things get more complicated. However, by turning Snap OFF, you might be able to nudge your Multi-cam footage just enough to work. Be sure to turn it back ON, when done, or surprises will occur.
Steve Grisetti has Multi-cam editing covered in his PrE book, and might also have an article on how best to do it in PrE on the Muvipix site, in his Learning Series.

Synchronization, deleted files are still in 'on this phone' section in itunes

whenever i'am connecting my iphone to my computer, the files(music, videos) which i have deleted separately(without connecting to itunes) are shown in my device in itunes. the file which i have deleted is shown marked or in 'on this phone' section.
how can this be stopped?

How Can I Synchronize Files From Mac to PC?

I have a G4 laptop and a PC Desktop (HP Pavilion d4100e, AMD X2 processor, NTFS file system), and I need to be able to work on both. To work on both, I need to synchronize the file systems so that my 30k files on the Mac appear on the PC and I can progressively synchronize as I make changes on one machine or the other.
I've tried a multitude of solutions, but have thus far been unable to set things up so that I can synchronize from one machine to the other. I learned that the copying process from Mac to PC would be interrupted if any of the files had a number of special characters that could occur on the Mac but not the PC, specifically: / \ ? " * . I more recently learned that a space at the end of a Mac file name would, once the file was sent over to the PC, be impossible to open and impossible to change the file name. I fixed all these problems using the mv_sed unix program. Nevertheless, a simple folder copy in the finder would quickly lock up--it would continue forever but no data would be transmitted. I then used the Synk program to synchronize to the mounted PC drive (mounted w/ 'smb').
I got all my files over to the PC, but when I try to synchronize any changes I made since the initial transfer, Synk locks up as well--it keeps running forever w/o any transmission of data. At this point, I realized that I could not list the contents of some of the folders on the PC from the Mac (using Terminal, smb connection). After some experimentation, it became clear that there wasn't anything wrong w/ specific file names, but that it wasn't possible to list the contents of folders that had a large number of files. I fixed that, but I ran into a multitude of additional problems being able to list folders. I don't have the time to figure out why. My guess as to why Synk locks up is that it can't list folders for synchronization.
At this point, I tried to make the file system on the PC more UNIX like, in the hopes that this would make synchronization possible. I installed cygwin on the PC, and I tried to use rsync to synchronize the files. Using cygwin, I seem to be able to list any folder from my Mac. So far, so good. But rsync is unable to transfer many files to the PC. It seems to try to create a temporary copy and then it can't read its own temp file, apparently because the file was never created. It also goofs up at points and puts a copy of a folder inside itself. Also for some reason it copies files over even when they already exist.
So far, no good solution. Is it possible to synchronize a real filesystem from Mac to PC? How? I'm guessing Apple doesn't have much incentive to insure this is possible.

Now I will install two File manager Server ,I want to ask what's the method let me synchronize two file manager Server ?
Does the File manager has this mechanism to let the file keep synchronize on two file manager server?
I find a PDF name "Agile PLM Capacity Planning Guid" V 9.3.1 ,it says there are two software can synchronize file manager server , is XXCOPY and RoboCopy, but the two softwares only support Windows . Is there a software support synchronize file manager server on Linux ?

Hi I believe you have the wrong forum.
This forum is for the Agile PLM for Process product suite, not for the Agile A9 suite. For Agile A9 or Primavera questions, you can use Oracle Support, Support Communities, Yahoo Groups for Agile API or WRAU.
This forum is for Agile PLM for Process, which is part of the same Agile family but a different product.

Any recommendations for a sync app that allows for specific file synchronization rather than just a complete back-up program? I want to be able to synchronize certain files only on multiple external hard-drives?

I'm pretty sure you should keep Boot Camp 2.1, Scorpio.
I'm not sure about the driver only or complete reinstall question though.
