Synchronization of past Outlook Calendar entries with Blackberry Q10

Is there no option to include the synchronization of past calendar entries from my Outllok Calendar? All what I found on Blackberry Link is “Import contacts/ Calendar”. However, it seems that the synchronization applies only to future Outlook Calendar entries. There should be an option allowing to keep the past calendar entries on the BB device. Is there something that I overlook? Thanks for any support.

Hello mokkTA1 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for your question synchronizing your device with your computer.
In BlackBerry Link click on your device and open the settings. Under Synchronization click on Configure next to the Calendar. Under Device Sync Period there is an option to sync All Entries. The default setting chooses the last 30 days and future entries.
After changing the sync period, try the sync and let me know if the older items now import.
Thanks!

  • Outlook 2013 Calendar syncing with Blackberry Q10 error

Hi, i am facing a big challenge while syncing the Outlook 2013 calendar with blackberry Q10 through Blackberry Link Software.
When syncing to BB, I get sync error "The following reoccurring event could not be synced: 13-Oct-14 - MD Mtg with Mgmt. Remove the event and sync again". The error refers to an event for a particular date. Practically, there is no such event in
    outlook for that particular date.
I have tried syncing other calendars from the same outlook file successfully but failing to do with that particular calendar. I have also tried to sync the same calendar from outlook 2010 from different OS without any success. I am running Windows 7 - 64bit
    OS.
I am running all latest updated patches from Microsoft and Blackberry for both OS.
This calendar is very important as it has more than 3000 event entries.
Please help me to resolve the same at earliest since the issue seems to be in particular Outlook 2013 calendar file. I suppose there could be some hidden entry for that particular date which is causing syncing to fail.
Kindly let me know if you require any further information.

    Hi,
This generaly means there is a problem with the indicated event, which cannot be sync'd to BlackBerry. You have to delete it before resyncing the calendar.
If the entry does not appear for the date mentioned in the message, it may be located on one of the historic dates according to the recurrence pattern.
Or you can use the tool of MFCMAPI to delete a hiden or corrupted calendar event:

  • Synchronizing Outlook Calendar entries with a Torch 9800

I have a customer with a Torch 9800 who is suffering a problem so severe that I can't believe it's a problem that RIM have ignored so I'm assuming there must be a solution.
The problem is that when Intellisync synchronizes the Torch, all Calendar appointments (other than recurring ones) older than 2 months are deleted - not only from the Torch (which is mildly acceptable), but also from Outlook (which is 100% totally unacceptable).  These entries are unrecoverable and the customer's historical records have been competely destroyed!!!   If this is not a bug I can't imagine who on God's Earth thought this might be a good idea!!!
Whilst I recognise that "synchronise" suggests that both devices should end up the same I also recognise that storage limitations in the Torch may be unable to cope with the volume of appointments stored over the years in Outlook but I see no reason for such limitation - if that is the reason.
The settings for Intellisync are currently set to 365 days, both past and future, but this seems to be ignored with the 2 month past history being the limit imposed without choice.
If someone can shed any light is this issue I would be most appreciative.
    Regards
    Dave

Nokia has helped me with a solution...
    My previous sync settings were:
    1. automatic synchronisation - do not synchroniseautomatically 2. conflict resolution - Microsoft outlook 3. Direction - updatein both directions 4. Sync profile - empty
I have now created a sync profile on the phone and haveset the same one on PC sync (not sure if that did anything)
I also changed the Direction setting to: Delete allmobile phone data and replace it with outlook data
    And have run a sync.
This has worked to delete all old outlook emails etc. Ican see that I will need to do this every now and again to ensure that thephone doesn't get full of old entries.
I will now return the sync setting to - update in bothdirections. Until I need to do it again.
    Thanks for your help everyone.

  • IPhone wants to 'Modify' 504 Outlook Calendar entries on Syncingvis iTunes

    Hi,
Until a few months ago (possibly when the clocks went forwards an hour??), my iPhone 4S synced without problems with my Outlook Calendar via iTunes, but now I get a message saying that continuing will result in modifying 504 entries on my Outlook Calendar. I therefore cancel the Sync.
None of my other syncing - music, photos, contacts, etc - are affected. I have tried choosing (on the iTunes info page) to 'over-ride' my iPhone's calendar and put the Outlook one onto the iPhone, which works okay, but then I get the same error message when I next sync the calendars...
I don't want to let it sync and have to alter all my Outlook calendar entries. Time zone settings are for London on the iPhone (General>Date & Time), and also on my computer, which is showing the same time.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    Mark

I had the same issue with the disappearing calendar. I had my entire work and personal schedule on my iPhone.
My computer had crashed and I had to reinstall Outlook. Once that was done, I did a sync with the iPhone....and the entire calendar vanished from the phone!!
I have searched and searched the net to find a way to restore it, but I think it is gone forever. I would have thought it would be part of the backup that iTunes does before a sync...but It won't restore to the phone. I figured out how to 'extract' just the calendar info and it looks as if there are hundreds of entries there...but nothing I do works to either get them back on the iPhone or even save them as a CSV file to import into Outlook.
I am mad as anything to think that I will have to input every entry again not to mention all the ones I will miss, or the past ones that I still needed.

  • Outlook Calendar Entries Missing

I am writing with a problem which has been reported several times on various boards and forums but after spending about 7 hours trying to resolve this issue I am hoping someone may have a fresh approach!
I am using Vista Business, Outlook 2007, Blackberry Storm and Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.7.
After several weeks of synching successfully, yesterday DM decided to delete most of my Outlook Calendar Entries.  Then DM started to crash with the message 'Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working'.  All the entries are still on the Blackberry.  I have followed various advice I have read, have reinstalled the DM software, have deleted the Intellisync folder, and have removed 3 flags from the Calendar sync configuration in DM.  The last action did stop DM from crashing, however most of my calendar entries are still on the device and NOT on Outlook.  On the Blackberry I have set the Options to keep Forever, and on DM have set Calendar items to 'All'.  I have run out of suggestions BUT still the problem remains that I cannot get the Blackberry to give Outlook my Calendar entries.
    Help welcomed!  Thanks.

Well, I've followed some instructions at another thread, and gotten reid of all the CICAL links in my Services section. That's removed the "Send as" and an email address for each calendar item on the BB. Also, all of them are now the same color, and all are part of the "Default" calendar.
When I go to the DM Backup and Restore > Advanced, I see I have only one Calendar on the BB and it has all my records.
Problem is that it still doesn't sync with Outlook. All that's left on my outlook calendar are a handful of appts added after the Facebook update. The rest of the appts on my handheld will not sync, even if I set the sync command to one way / replace all.
So that's where it stands. Any further help would be most welcome.

  • Outlook Calendar entries not complete on E72

I am syncing all of my work Outlook with my E72 OK.  Contacts, Mail, and Calendar are used a lot.  But I cannot read all of the text that is pasted in to the detail box in an Outlook Calendar entry on my PC once it has come across to the E72.  The first few lines are fine but the text ends with a series of .... indicating that there is more to read but it is not available to see.  Is there something that I can do?

Doesn't anyone know the answer to this issue? It seems a quite strange and stupid bug in the software so i cannot believe this cannot be solved in an Apple.
    Thanks.

  • Outlook calendar entries all gone!

I have done some searching on this and this seems to be a common problem, but I didn't find any solutions that worked for me.  I realized today that nearly all of my Outlook calendar entries are gone!! I have the Desktop Manager set to two way sync. I tried a one-way sinc from the BB to Outlook to try to get things back, but that didn't work. Thing is that there are a few calendar entries left.  The ones that appear to be gone are older the "repeat" ones.  In other words, if I set one to occur every month or so, those appear to be gone from Outlook. All but one. There is a new repeat one I put in the other day into the BB, and it sync'd just fine, but everything else is gone!
How do I get all of my items back into outlook?  And, once I get them there, how do I keep them from disappearing again?
    Jesse

OK...I upgraded the BB Desktop software.  I was running version 4.5.  I'm now running version 5.0.  I also did a "Check for updates" and it found a bunch of software on the BB that needed to be updated.  I let it update everything.  I synced again, and some of my calendar items came back, but not all of them.
I've just noticed something, but I don't know what I can do about it.  When I look at the calendar entries that are syncing, they say "Send Using: {my bb e-mail address}".  When I look at one that is not syncing, it says "Send Using: Device Default".  I don't even know what this "send using" thing is, unless it has something to do with sending an invitation (probably something I'll never use).  I guess I need to associate those entries that are not syncing with my BB e-mail address, but I don't see any menu item that lets me change that.  Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    Jesse

  • Why is everything so difficult since 'upgrading' to Maverick. I can't sync my Outlook calendar (default) with iCal or my iPad.

Why is everything so difficult since 'upgrading' to Maverick. I can't sync my Outlook calendar (default) with iCal or my iPad.
Also, I can't send pictures via Dropbox any more. Two basic necessities that I just can't get to work.

Microsoft didn't update Outlook to be Mavericks ready.
I don't really use Dropbox, but if their software doesn't work like it used to, they didn't update it for Mavericks.

  • Desktop 6.0 trying to delete all my Outlook calendar entries

Since upgrading to 6.0, I've had nothing but trouble.  First it was a strange error and this forum recommended that I look for East Asian characters or skipped e-mail addresses or images that were not the acceptable BB size in all of my contacts.  I spent hours reviewing all my contacts one by one and that fixed nothing.  I've deleted the software a ridiculous number of times, wiped the Torch several times.  Finally, I figured out on my own that I had to look for a calendar entry that was causing the unknown problem.  Now, after all this wasted time, all I want to do is sync my device to my Outlook calendar, but the software wants to delete all my Outlook entries.  Thank goodness I was paying attention and rejected the changes.  So now I can't sync again and have no where to turn to but this forum.  Why can I not get any qualified technical support???  I spent enough money on this device, why can't someone help me fix the problems that BB has created.  I want to throw this device out the window!

First, I deleted all my calendar entries from the BB, then I changed the calendar sync settings to one-way, Outlook to device.  I ran the sync and everything moved over to the device.  At that point, I completed a backup and went back in and changed the settings back to two-way.
Then, the following day, I connected the device and tried to sync again but the the software wanted to delete all or most all of my Outlook calendar entries again.  So I rejected the sync and stopped.
    Any thoughts?

  • Synchronizing Outlook Calendar and Contacts with Blackberry Q10

I got a new Blackberry Q10 device and wanted to synchronize it with my Outlook calendar and contacts on my notebook. I installed Blackberry Link on the notebook. But in a pop down menu I was only allowed to choose from 2 pst-files which are not the correct ones. The one I want to choose is in another folder. But how can I select this one to synchronize with?
Thanks for your help. And sorry for the silly question, but I am only a very normal user without any specific know how.
    Kind regards
    Malika

    Hey MalikaBauer,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
Is the Microsoft Outlook profile that you're currently trying to access on an Microsoft Exchange server or is hosted at a different location?  If so, you will not be able to access that PST with BlackBerry Link.
BlackBerry Link currently only supports local PST files.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Magically Reappearing Outlook Calendar Entries

Greetings - Our firm is experiencing an odd issue where a number calendar entries are appearing out of nowhere in Outlook.  Even when the entries are deleted they come back on their own.  The entries appear to come from our time and billing system,
but they deny such a feature exists.
I've checked through our Exchange logs and show that the entry seems to be coming directly from Outlook (not received from another source like an invite sent from an inside/outside person).   The details within the entry don't seem to indicate where
it's originating from either.  I've also tried Outlook logging but the information in the logs don't seem to help.  Wacking the Outlook profile didn't help either.
Can anyone offer suggestions on how I can figure out how the invite is being placed in the Outlook calendar?  This is for Outlook 2010 in cached mode along with Exchange 2010.
    Thanks!
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
Please start Outlook in safe mode to check whether the issue persists. It may be caused by any third party add-ins or third party program. To disable any third party add-ins, please do:
Close Outlook and in the Start menu, Search field or Run command (Windows key + R to open) type or paste the following line and press Enter to run
    Outlook /safe.
If the issue continues, please change another computer with this Outlook account to have a try.

  • Two Outlook Calendars on a Blackberry

I have been using a Tungsten E2 palm pilot until I purchased my 8330 blackberry. On my palm pilot I could synch two calendars & view them seperately. One was my everyday calendar & the "sub calendar" was one I used for only specific dates. Is there a way to do that on the blackberry? I have the desktop software mapped to both calendars in outlook, but it puts information from both calendars on one calendar on the blackberry.

Time stands still, those of us smart enough ride through it rather than rush through it.

    hello,
if you have one calendar on your device, it will always synchronize with all the calendars you configure on the Desktop Manager.

  • Outlook Calendar & problem with Invitations

Exchange calendar sync fine, but there's an interaction question or problem.
    SCENARIO:
--Calendar entry is in Outlook, as "accepted", with this acceptance coming from me on Windows desktop.
--Receive a Duplicate "invitation" on the iPhone.
--On the iPhone, the event invitation shows as "maybe".
--Don't need to accept meeting invitation....
--Using the invitation slide option to "delete" it from the invite inbox, the entry is deleted AND IN THE CALENDAR AND ON THE EXCHANGE SERVER.
If you want to clean out the invitation inbox, how do you do it without deleting the actual calendar entry???

  • Outlook Calendar Sync with 9850

Can I sync my 9850 with Outlook Calendar?  I keep getting an "Error was encountered while syncing zero," and then it freezes up.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I find no KB in the public database that exactly matches the error you reported...perhaps your search may be more lucky:

Failing anything useful there, I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
