Synchronization order of the Sync BO's

Hi All,
Can any body tell me where can we set the order for synchronization either in Middleware or in Client.
We are having some problems with this order.
We are working with standard MAM30 application. Here our scenario is we are creating time confirmations for a new work order and completing all the time confirmations as final confirmations. So In backend, this order status must be set to TECO status.
At the time of synchronization first MAM30_005(Time confirmation) sync bo is being synchronized, after that the order (MAM30_001) sync bo got synchronized.  In Middleware for both  MAM30_005 and MAM30_001 sync bo's it is giving an error as
Return code from RFC Bapi Wrapper Call: updation could not be completed.
What I understood for the problem is, before creation of order, all the time confirmations are being created. and is trying to update the order. At that point of time it is givig this erorr.
Can any body suggest me whether can we set sync order. I want MAM30_001 must be synced, before sync of MAM_005.
Your Help in this regard is highly appreciable.
Regards,
Chinna.

Hi Oliver,
I see the point now. There are two different situations:
1. Global order change that puts order in TECO status + TConf - in this case TConf has to be processed (synched first), order is processed after (and is removed).
2. Local orde is created together with TConf - in this case obviously Order has to be processed first.
If you need both scenarios to work - it is obviously impossible to control via order of sync as there can only be one sync order, either order or TConf processed first.
In this case I will review business process - as we need second scenario order MUST be processed first and this will define sync order. Now to make second process to work as well - I will do enhancements on the backend - order gets TECOed as a result of TConf only. Which means order changes will be synced first (order still remains in a user list), then TConf is processed, then some process is triggered to TECO the order, only after this order disappears from the user list and device.
It might cause order to stay on the device after it was closed from the user perspective and changes synched but I don't see other way if both scenarios are required.
As for new order coming back to the device right away - it is possible as far as I know. First, as you mentioned correctly, it has to be assigned to a user either from the device (and I think that is done by default in standard MAM) or by backend process, secondly, an MAM setting "Release Immediately" must be set ON.

It does not cover my question about in what order does the sync work?
Does the first signed on computer copy its information to the cloud?
Does the second computer/pad/cell then download the information from the cloud overwriting the information on the second device even if some of the information is different?
What happens to the information on the second device that is not in the cloud?
If you delete a record (eg a bookmark) from the second device how does it then delete it on the first device?
What are the keys to the different types of information?

Hi I have answered you questions inline below:
Does the first signed on computer copy its information to the cloud?
Yes when you first set up the account or when you first add a device to the cloud, if it is not the first time, it will merge with the other data
Does the second computer/pad/cell then download the information from the cloud overwriting the information on the second device even if some of the information is different?
By default it merges. There is no option to change this.
What happens to the information on the second device that is not in the cloud?
It will sync at the next sync interval if that data is selected to sync.
If you delete a record (eg a bookmark) from the second device how does it then delete it on the first device? What are the keys to the different types of information?
It resolved the entry the next time the first and second device syncs. Can you elaborate on the second part of this question?

Sync with my provider Gmail does not rearrange them on my Imac

    Thanks for that .
My actual problem I may not have made very clear - sorry.
    i.e.

My problem is to arrange these mailboxes/folders in an alphabetical order under the [email protected] account

  • Photocast messes up the picture order of the album and won't sync w/ iPod

I spent a lot of time organizing a couple of hundred pics in chronologic order and everything looks fine when viewed in iPhoto on my computer. Then I photocasted the pics to family and myself so I could view it on a different computer. Well, all the pics are in the wrong order on the Photocast. Plus, the album now won't sync with my iPod. I duplicated the album and then it would go to my iPod, however, all the pics are in the wrong order just like the Photocast.
I ended up unpublishing the album, deleting the messed up copy album and then everything was fine again on the iPod.
Any way to preserve the exact order of the pictures in the album and get it to still copy onto the iPod? Is this just a bug?

I got through to Apple tech support to a guy who was nice enough, but was clearly just searching the database to answer the question (like I already had on the Internet) and he didn't really understand my questions completely. Initially I got the feeling he was just going to tell me- sorry he couldn't answer my questions, until I asked him if he could please ask a supervisor or someone else.
Bottom line, photocasting will put your pictures in order by date and cannot be changed unless you manually change the date in the info section of iPhoto for each picture. So all the effort in rearranging pictures doesn't matter unless the dates are chronologic.
I have no intention of manually changing the dates of over 1,000 family pictures I have scanned into the computer over the last 5 years. Oh well, at least the real date is in the title of each picture I imported.
He said he couldn't find anything on why a photocasted album wouldn't sync with the iPod. So I said, "Did you ask anyone else?", then he put me on hold and said he would try and find out.
The answer to the 2nd question is that No-shared libraries/photocasted albums will not copy over the iPod. You would have to duplicate the album, but then you may lose any arranging you've done (again the pics will be ordered by date if by digital camera or date imported if scanned).
I now know that any scanned pictures will have to have manually changed dates. I am too lazy right now to go back and fix years of scanning and importing. I just won't use Photocasting for now and hopefully in the future there will some sort of Preference choice on how to sort the photos other than date.
    Cheers

  • Why is that in itunes my playlist is in order from the recently added to oldest but when it syncs into my ipod , it doesnt arrange it that way. its in artist order

why is that in itunes my playlist is in order from the recently added to oldest but when it syncs into my ipod , it doesnt arrange it that way. its in artist order

That does happen.  It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system.  If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

  • Images on iPad started to mix album's pages order since last sync, the names order are correct I've tried to erase and put back album's but got worse because it failed to write some. I would like to avoid to ripristinate the iPad.

ciao, I've got some problema with my Image reader app. Since last sync it started to mix pages order, pages that are correctly nominated and were dispalyed in the correct order since the last sync.  unfortunatelly I haven't a backup and I would like to avoid to ripristinate it as I would loose my App documents. I have already tried several time to erase all my albums and putting back, but it got worse and it fails to copy some albums. What can i do?

Since your intention was to sell legit software, I'm sorry that you were as much a victim as your buyers were.  I don't know what else you could do except report it as others have suggested and pay your customers back.  Companies like Adobe don't have the resources to follow up on every individual case of piracy, but they should be interested in tracking down the sources of the big professional counterfeiting rings.  Judging from your description of the packages you sold and the cost of producing such packages, I assume they come from such a source.
    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
I'm from Seattle, so I didn't really think twice when the seller told me their source was a person who worked at Microsoft and had access to the "Microsoft store" (which is somewhat infamous here because of how cheap you can get software for if you have access).
I don't get the connection - you were selling Adobe software, not Microsoft software.

  • I can't get audiobooks to sync to my iPhone 4s running iOS 6. I can't even find the audiobooks tab in iTunes in order to enable syncing of them.

I am not sure if it is because I am blind and just can't see the audiobooks tab on my iTunes screen, but my screen reading software can't find it either. None of the audiobooks will sync. I have tried turning iTunes Match off and on and it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

    Hey, nickstandford26.
To sync Audiobooks from your computer to your iOS device, we'll want to follow the basic syncing instructions outlined in this article:
    iOS: Syncing with iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386
Specifically, what we are looking for is the "Books" tab at the top of iTunes (grouped together with Summary, Music, etc). Audiobooks have moved to this "Books" tab.
Once on the Books tab, there are two separate sections for syncing regular digital Books and Audiobooks. Make sure that the "Sync Audiobooks" checkbox is checked and choose to either sync all or selected audiobooks. Once these changes are applied, the Audiobooks will be transferred to your device for your enjoyment!
    Happy Listening,
    Matt M.

  • My iPhone cannot finish the sync process

    Hey guys,
I was not sure whether there are German guys reading my problem so I decided to ask again but this time in English.
My problem is that my Iphone 6 plus 64 gb is not able to complete the sync process when I try to synchronize it with my Mac in order to get my music from my Mac on my iPhone. It always stops at the end at keeps saying 4 of 4 or 6 of 6 "waiting for changes to be applied" and nothing happens... The little circle keeps turing around but the music is not transferred to my iPhone... In addition to that this process seems to keep going endlessly... I tried several thing like restarting my device and my Mac, I tried to delet the sync history, I searched for help on the internet but no one could help me... I hope you guys have any tips for me.. Thank You!

Same Problem here since iOS 8.0. I found one workaround that worked for me several times but is too annoying:
uncheck "sync music" on iTunes, delete all music on Device, sync, check "sync music" again and voila, after several restarts of iTunes, iPhone and some hours later you find all of your music on the iPhone. Maybe. Same with Pictures. So stupid Apple! Many of my Friends and colleagues have the same issues! FIX THIS!! PLEASE!

  • I can not synchronize data from the prelude livelog

I can not synchronize data from the prelude livelog apparently seems to be all right, more aprasenta the following message: The Open Clip does not support XMP.
The Prelude can not apply metadata in it.
    please can someone help me

    Hi -
When it comes to AVCHD footage, Prelude wants to leverage the complex folder structure in order to save metadata. If the file is just the *.MTS file and is not part of the original folder structure, Prelude will report it cannot write metadata to the file. You can transcode the *.MTS to another format and then add metadata.
We are looking at future solution for what we call "naked MTS file", but unfortunately that is not part of the currently released product version.

  • With iTunes match, order of the songs in my playlist of mobile devices is not the same as on my computer

In my iTunes on computer, I have several smart play lists. Within each playlist, songs are set to a certain order. Some playlist songs order are organized by name, some playlists are organized by Album, some playlists are organized by artist etc.
When I was syncing my iPhone and iPad directly with my computer, the playlists on my mobile device had same order of songs as on my itunes in computer.
Now, I signed up for iTunes match. With iCloud sync, order of the songs in my playlist of mobile devices is not the same as on my computer. In fact, order of songs within a playlist appears to be completely random. Moreover, order of songs are different in my iPhone 4s and iPad 2
How can I change the order of songs on my mobile devices or how do I make iTunes match to sync my songs such that within a playlist, my songs are in the same order as that of iTunes on my computer.

Thanks mracole. I assume this means order of songs will work with regular play lists I iTunes match. Will try it this afternoon and report.
Please let me know if my understanding is not correct.
Best regards and thanks once again.

  • Report (summary) to print in the same order as the PAYCHECK run.

    Hi,
I have a requirement where an incentive pay summary by salesperson, will need to print in the same order as the checks that print for those salespersons.
Is this possible and if so, what is required to accomplish the above requirement?
    Thank You,
    John

You can't change them once they are in the Photos app. On iOS 5 the photos will be sorted by the photo's 'date modified' field (from here) - so you will need to modify that field on your photos before syncing to get them into your required order. Or you could consider using a third-party photo management app instead of the Photos app e.g. Photo Manager Pro which allows you to re-order photos directly within the app.

  • Sometimes when I play songs in Itunes by double clicking on them, Itunes will place the song as the first one on the album.  It will chnage the order of the songs on the album, and I can not switch them back to the correct order.

Sometimes when I play songs in Itunes by double clicking on them, Itunes will place the song as the first one on the album.  It will chnage the order of the songs on the album, and I can not switch them back to the correct order.  This onloy seems to happen when I double-click on the song to play it in itunes.  If I just hit play, this doesnt happen.  As a result, I have several albums now in which the songs are in the wrong order.  Its very frustrating, as this error then transfers over to my ipod every time I sync it.  When I choose the info. for the songs, it has them correctly listed (i.e., it lists the songs as being #1 of 19 on the CD, for example).  But then the song will have placed by Itunes as #5 of 19 for whatever reason.  Itunes does not do this every time, but does it with enough frequency to be maddening.  Any thoughts?

The problem of tracks becoming de-linked between iTunes and the music files in your iTunes music folder happens for different reasons - this seems to come up fairly commonly in this forum.
The solution can be to locate each song in the iTunes library, as you mentioned - or, but wait, before I get to that...
trouble finding the original track in your iTunes music folder? maybe look for it under compilations, or if not using the 'group compilations preference' then look in the folder under the songs artist name, but what song artist name iTunes uses depends on what you have in the metedata tag spot for album artist or song artist. Any varyation in artist name spelling, in the menu item 'get info' metadata for any selected individual track will cause iTunes to create that as a separate artist folder in the library, even names like 'various' or any difference at all (even the word 'the' can change where in your iTunes music folder a track gets placed by iTunes). You can try to use the finder function of find file (finder munu item outside of iTunes) to locate hard to find items.
Back to how to re-link any de-linked tracks .
There may be scripts that can help re-link de-linked music files - or, at least provide you a list of such files, Scripts are easy to install and use...
at Dougs Scripts, there is one called iTunes Track CPR that might work
    http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=itunestrackcpr
or, if you just want a list of de-linked tracks, go to
    http://dougscripts.com/itunes/
and find the script called List MIA's, this will create a text file listing all de-linked tracks

  • How do I set the direction of the sync?

How do I set the direction of the sync? I recall from days past that there was a window that let you choose whether to "upload" the info from your computer or "download" the info from the .MAC account. In this case I am trying to import my address book from the .MAC server. What are the new steps in 10.4? or where can this sync direction window be found?
    -todd

Under Mac OS X 10.4 and later, the synchronization of information with .Mac is no longer the responsibility of iSync, but is instead controlled through a preference pane in the System Preferences application.
A forum dedicated to .Mac Sync is located here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=957
Assuming that your machine is registered with .Mac and currently able to synchronize data bidirectionally, this is how you reset your data:
    • launch System Preferences
    • select the .Mac preference pane
    • press the Advanced tab
    • press the Reset Sync Data… button
    • choose one or all registered data categories from the drop down Replace: menu
    • pick a data flow direction (by default, it is set to FROM .Mac TO your computer)
    • press the Replace button

  • HT1495 I am a teacher and we all have the same itunes account for school. I started downloading apps and it was downloading on others' ipads too.  I shut off all the syncing on my ipad but other teacher are saying they still getting my stuff. What do I/th

I don't know if they just got my stuff from before and are just seeing it now or if they still are getting my information.  I don't have anything to hide but it's awkward knowing other people are seeing all you are downloading and even messaging.  I want to talk to them more and know exactly when and where they are receiving the information but I haven't yet.  I talked with one teacher and she thought they just have to turn off the syncing or automatic downloads on their ipads.  Will that stop it?

Turning off automatic downloads will stop the other iPads from getting your downloads. You should all do this on each of your iPads.
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Automatic Downloads>Off.... Music, Apps and Books - All Off.
As far as Messaging, if you are all using the same Apple ID, you will all receive the same messages because Messages uses the Apple ID email address as the means by which you are contacted. Apparently all of the devices were set up with the Apple ID, which is fine, but you should all associate a new email address on each device where you can be reached. One device can keep the Apple ID as the contact address.
Settings>Messages>Send and receive>Add another email address.
Add your own unique email addresses in there. Apple will verify those addresses. Go to the inboxes of those email addresses and read the email from Apple. Follow the instructions in the email in order to finish the verification process.
Then go back to Settings>Messages>You can be reached by iMessage at ..... and remove the Apple email address from all but one of the iPads. Or you can just uncheck the Apple email address as the contact address, select the new email address, and check the correct email address as the "start new conversations from"
You will now all have your own email addresses as the address at which you can be contacted with the Messages app.
