Synchronize function not working for IMAP

I changed my email account from POP to IMAP.
I didnt like having to look through all my unread messages on my iphone that I already read at work.
IMAP settings are all correct (i was on the phone with Cox Communications).
iPHone gets any emails immediately, but my laptop does not. HOWEVER, if I go into the MacMail menu "Mailbox" and select "Synchronize All Accounts" or choose 'Synchronize >( then select my IMAP account)" then the mail that my iPhone already received all pops up.
The problem is that Mac Mail doesnt want to remember that I want to Synchronize it. I have to chose this function EVERY TIME I want to check my email.
The result is that i do not get any emails at work on my laptop unless I manually Synchronzie each time before checking for mail.
What can I do to get MacMail to remember that I want it Synchronized???

I have a similarly large number of topic folders populated by rules triggered new mail. Some of my rules are on the mail servers, while some are on my own Macs. (In my case, there are multiple Macs involved; I gather from your message that there is only one MacBook Pro involved in your case.)
I was in the middle of composing some comments on my understanding of how new messages are detected and processed by Mail.app, but I discovered some counterexamples in the process. Now I'm getting as confused as you may be.
I'm not sure what the rules are for when each secondary mailbox is refreshed from the server. I do know that "Synchronize All Accounts" (or Synchronize > accountname) is an immediate action, not a request for continued action. I also know that sometimes you have to do an explicit Synchronize to update secondary mailboxes, that they are usually updated eventually, but sometimes it doesn't happen. I don't know why.
Sorry not to have been more helpful. Maybe somebody else will come along who can go better.

Hi all,
I am generating XML using DBMS_XMLGEN in oracle 10g. After generating the XML, I am replacing the ROW tags with appropriate tag name using REPLACE function. Sometimes the tag name is not replaced correctly.
Eg.I am replacing </Cargo_ROW> with </CargoDetail>. But sometimes in one xml, this tag is coming as </CargoDetROW> or </CargoDetaiW>. The XML size is always huge and the same tag is repeated so many time in the loop and in the same XML, only one tag will be replaced incorrectly. This also not happening for all XMLs.
If any one knows the cause about this problem or solution, please share the same.

'Image Set' in Contacts print function not working for envelopes

I'm using 'Image Set' in Apple Contacts to insert a pic into my Christmas address labels, which works fine, but when I try to use the same function to try and print envelopes the 'set image' function will not work, and no image will appear. Ive tried quitting and restarts to no avail - any thoughts?

Search function not working for few days ??

I try to search for object that I have searched before and got results.
now I don't get any result on any search query I give. yesterday I thought , OK I will wait for tomorrow then it will be resolved. but now it's still not working ?
for instance search on CL_SALV_TABLE is giving no results ?
am I the only one experiencing this problem or is it community wide ?

Fill-down function not working for resources.

Hi,
I am running P6 version 8.2 and I am trying to use the 'fill-down' function to copy resources down for certain filtered activities but the option is always greyed out.
I can fill down just about anything else but for some reason it doesn't work with resources.
Can anyone fill me in on why this may be..?

You can't use fill down on any column that is a list. Predecessors, Successors, Resources, Roles and Activity Codes can all be assigned to multiple activities by highlighting them, right clicking and going to Assign. This will bring up a window where you can choose what to assign.
I am not 100% sure on why you can't use fill down with resources but I imagine its because you are doing more than editing a value for each activity. You are linking an activity to a resource, each of which are objects in the database.

Jump to Function not working for header items

Hi Experts,
I have a query using jump to function to access R3 tranaction,
It has issue jump to transaction MB51
Item Data:Material, plant, ...
header data: posting date,...
All settings in RSBBS are correct, but the posting date is not passed onto R3 report.
I have tried similar transaction MR51and posting date can be passed to R3.
any idears?

This is solution:
In ERP system.
Set MEMORYID in table MMIM_REP_CUST for fiekd BUDAT.
Value for MEMORYID have to be from TPRA table and value for DTG upper than current timestamp
After this recall mb51 and set this value in RSBBS assignment in BW system.

'open in' function not working for MKV files

Does anyone have an issue with using the 'open in' feature to play MKV files in another application? I have 3 applications that support MKV movie files but if I copy a MKV movie to GoodReader or FileBrowser and then use the 'open in' feature, it says there are no registered applications that support this file type. AVI files on the other hand work fine with all 3 applications offering themselves up in the 'open in' feature.
I have 3 media players that support MKV files and I have tred reinstalling them all with no effect. I have also tried the open in from FileBrowser, Dropbox and GoodReader and then reinstalled these apps as well but still no success so I believe it is an issue with IOS. They all work fine on my iPad 1, this issue ony affects my iPad 2 but I set this one up as a new iPad and didn't restore it from my iPad 2 so not sure why this is. I spoke with one of the DEVs who was very helpful but he couldn't replicate this issue on his iPad 2.

Before EHP4 upgrade this functional module working fine, but after updated users are not visible.
We have chekced if the users are assigned directly users are visible but indirect (Position Based) assignment users are not apprearing.

I do not think this BAPI is meant to be called by anyone but the application using it, and its functionality may therefore change without notice.
What are you trying to achieve? Maybe there's a better way to do that...

Infoview Discussion function is not work for shortcut?

My BOE version is XI 3.1, when I create a shortcut for an object in InfoView then click that shortcut and open the discussion panel, the follow message is display 'Discussions do not apply to this object type'.
I want to know if this is a limitation for InfoView that based on Java since this function is work for InfoView that based on .Net.
Any one have ideas about this?

Just to follow up on this:
I asked our product group what the designed functionality is. The reply I got was that discussions should not be allowed for shortcut objects and that the bug was in Java Infoview for allowing it.
XIR3.1 SP3 resolves this bug and you will not be able to use discussions on shortcuts in this version and above.

Not able to sign into Blackberry Protect. Backup and Restore function not working. "Your device isn't associated with a Blackberry ID"

Not able to sign into Blackberry Protect. Backup and Restore function not working. Message is: "Your device isn't associated with a Blackberry ID." My Blackberry Messenger and Blackberry World is working fine so I am sure its not an ID issue on the phone. I can sign into Link, Blackberry.com and Protect. I see my device in Protect but cannot send messages or view it on a map. Times out with cannot reach device message. BB Protect on Device has a swirling circle beside the on/of switch. Cannot turn off.
I have deleted Link and re-installed.
I have reset phone to default(factory) and signed in.
OS level is 10.2.1.3062
BB Link is 1.2.3.56

I managed to figure this out myself. I had to delete the device from the Blackberry Protect website. protect.blackberry.com. I wiped my device again and signed in with my Blackberry ID. I dont know if the step of wiping was necessary as I did not try my backup with the current configuration on the device following the delete. Restore is in progress for me!

Auto_lexer (stemming) not working for other languages(other than english)

We are planning to use AUTO_LEXER instead of MULTI_LEXER and observed that stemming is not working for German where as it is working for English when I use AUTO_LEXER. I even used query templates but of no use.
But when i use MULTI_LEXER, creating sub lexers for German and Enlgish, Stemming is working for German also after changing the session language and setting stemmer of wod list to German (Which is expected).

According to the online documentation, Oracle only supports stemming for English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese. Oracle does not support Russian stemming, although you may have gotten some accidental results, due to identifying it as a different language and applying stemming rules for that language. The following manual sections show the languages available for the index_stems attribute of the basic_lexer and stemmer attribute of the basic_wordlist:

I don't work for Oracle, so I don't know why they do things the way they do.
So, you need to stick with the basic_wordlist for stemming, not the lexers. However, you may get better performance by combining the multi_lexer with the basic_wordlist, as the multi_lexer eliminates time spent on automatic language detection. But, you need to remember not to use the index_stems with your lexer, since it will conflict with the wordlist. I am not experiencing any time problems as you have. Please see the demo below. I have provided the whole script below that, so that you can reproduce it on your system. If you still have problems, then it may be due to differences in versions.

Cascading Select Lists - Not Working for me

I am trying to implement Denes Kubicek's Ajax Cascading Select List solution.

But it is not working for me.
I'm a newbie to APEX and checked the forum for advice on cascading select lists. I saw the thread for
"Cascading Select Lists - Not Working" posted by sue and the replies by Varad Acharya, but I'm still
having issues of not seeing the alerts, not able to run the pl/sql process in SQL Workshop, and not
getting the expected results.
I have a list of countries (US - USA, CA - CANADA, etc.) and a list of states for each country. When a
user selects a country I would like to show the list of states within that country.
This is what I've done so far:

Now to the problem:
I run page 5 (the report) to see the list of locations and then I try to edit a record (page 6). When I
try to select a different country I get the following error (on IE):

I don't see any of the alert messages.
I also tried to run the application process code in the SQL - Command Processor (I replaced
:cascading_selectlist_item_1 with 'CA' or 'US') and got the following:

Fingerprint utility is not working for normal users - Tecra M11

Hi All,
I installed windows 7 pro in Tecra M11 laptop and the Toshiba finger print utility is not working for normal users.
It is working only for domain administrators. The TFPU is not working for, normal domain users, local users, local administrators. If we run the utility it will ask to enter the windows password and once we applied the password then the message saying "entered password is not valid" will prompt even if we are trying to use the utility first time.
If we try with a domain admin account it will work without any problem. Can somebody help me to trouble shoot this issue?

People nowadays experienced that no matter How many times we glide our finger it have no response.In this instance, you might be very afraid of Windows password lost by reason that there is a plenty of important data on your PC.
Then what should you do? One choose is fix the Fingerprint scanners, but this method will cost a lot of money. The other is use the Windows password function to solve the problem. Certainly, this is a very safer, faster and easier to use method for you.
According my personal experience, you can try these three ways to re-access to your PC:
Method 1: Login with the default administrator account
* Step 1: Start Windows PC
* Step 2: When you can see the Windows login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys Twice and it'll show Classic Login box
* Step 3: Type Administrator as Username and leave the password field blank
* Step 4: Press the Enter Key and then you can be able to login the default windows administrator account which is it created by default when install windows.
*Note:* This trick is only work for Windows XP. And when you input the key combination Please don't put the cursor on any account. And if you change the name or password before, you cannot login by this way.
Method 2: Use the previous password reset disk
This method describes how to create and use a password reset disk for a computer that is a member of a domain. You can use a Windows password reset disk to gain access to your Microsoft Windows Professional-based computer if you forget your Windows password. Please click here to learn more.
Method 3: Using Windows Password Unlocker
