Synchronize iPad to Imac via WIFI

Hi guys, I know that is possible synchronize iPad/iPhone with Mac via WIFI but I´m not able to do. It say that iPad must be connect to electicity and on the same WIFI of the Mac. After checking this, the button Synchronize on mi iPad is always greyed out and so I can´t click on it.
Any idea?
Thanks a lot

First of all - the instructions that you are referring to are for Automatic Syncing with iTunes via WiFi. I sync my iPad every day via WiFi with the iPad sitting on the coffee table and NOT plugged into power. I also do not auto sync - I initiate the sync on my own.
You need to set it up for WiFi syncing within iTunes first.
Connect the iPad to your Mac and launch iTunes. Let it sync if you auto sync. Then click on the iPad name on the left side under devices. Click on the Summary Tab in iTunes on the right. Click on the option to Sync this iPad over Wifi. Click on the Apply button in the lower right corner of iTunes and then eject the iPad.
Now try to sync via WiFi. See if the Sync option is active now in the iPad settings. Make sure that iTunes is running on the Mac as well.
If you are still stuck - read this for more information.

  • Connect MacBook Air with my iMac via Wifi

How can I link my Mac Book air to my iMac, via WiFi, to transfer respectively synchronize data between both of them.
    Thx

There are a few different ways of getting this accomplished.
Method 1: Airdrop. If both computers are Airdrop capable, simply enter Airdrop on each computer, wait until they see each other and then connect and share.
Method 2: WiFi Router. If both computers are on the same WiFi router network and file sharing is enabled on the computers, you can browse the contents of the source computer and copy/move to the target.
Method 3: Ad Hoc. If no WiFi router is available, you can simply create a wireless ad hoc network on one of the computers and complete the transfers in that manner.
There are probably a couple other methods out there, but those are the main 3 that come to mind.
    Cheers!

  • Ipad and iphone do not synch with my imac via wifi; any ideas?

Synchronising my contacts on the iphone and ipad with my imac seems to require me to connect using USB, then open iTunes; neither will synchronise via wifi.  I have set both the iPhone and iPad to synch automatically when connected to power and via wifi to the imac, but it doesn't work.
I am running MAC OS 10.7.5 and iOS 6.1.3.  Can anyone explain what's wrong?  thanks

Bluetooth Pairing is not available, apart from Airdrop.

  • Can i use my american ipad to skype via wifi in europe

  • IPad 2 updated via wifi 36 hours ago has sent it in recovery mode

Stuck in a restore loop since updating via wifi my iPad 2 to the latest 6.1 software, on reboot it's gone into recovery mode & everytime I click restore iPad the download says it's failed due to corrupt download file, tried 12 times now

try to hard reset it out. hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until u see an apple appear on the screen. if that does not take it out of recovery mode there is absolutely nothing u can do to get ur stuff off of that ipad. it is officially kaput and u HAVE to restore it using itunes unless u just want a very expensive paperwieght.

  • Transfer book files from pc to ipad without itunes via wifi

How can I transfer book files already on my pc to ipad3 via wifi without using itunes. When on the pc I have tried clicking on the file then using the right click button  clicked on copy to ipad but get the message the device is turned off or has been disconnected?

Hi Thanks for that. Do you know how to transfer book files using itunes. I have tried to do this but no luck so far?

  • IPad to iMac via Bluetooth

Is it possible to connect the iPad to an iMac via bluetooth?  I ask because my iMac does "see" the iPad via bluetooth but when I try to 'Browse' the iPad via the iMac I get the message "The device does not have the necessary services".   Am I correct then in assuming then that the iPad cannot exchange files with an iMac?

And another thing...  Even if you did have BT capability, you can't copy any file over since each data file has to be associated with an app, thus you'd need to use iTunes to associate the file with an app in order to copy.  Alternatives are to use Dropbox or iDisk, if the associated app has that capability.  For example, to get a Pages document to the iPad, you use either iTunes to copy it to Pages/iPad or put the file on iDisk and then use Pages/iPad to import it.  But you can't just connect via BT and copy the file to some folder on the iPad. The iPad doesn't have a traditional folder system like computers.

  • Will mail messages move from iPad to iMac without WIFI?

I have an iMac, but do not have regular internet service at my house.  I'm considering buying an iPad with 3G to access the internet.  If I download my mail messages on the iPad and then sync it with the iMac, do the messages move over onto the iMac or do they just stay on the iPad?

The warning about the deletion of the mails of the account in question can only refer to the inbox. No email you have archived or put into a different folder will be deleted. If you're still worried back everything up before going ahead.

  • Ipad app updates via wifi not working

I went from talktalk broadband to Bt on Tuesday (27 Nov), which may be a coincidence, but ever since my ipad 3 and iphone 4s will not sync app updates over wifi, they just freeze. I am getting so frustrated, one day these all worked seamlessly and now not.

    Try this
Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset allsettings

  • Printing from my iMac via Wifi

I have an iMac with OSX 10.5.8
I also have an HP LaserJet 1536dnf MFP printer.
The printer is connected via an ethernet cable (Cat5) to an Airport Extreme.
The iMac is connected to the Airport Extreme's network wirelessly.
I can't seem to get the iMac to see the printer, let alone use it. But I also have two MacBooks, both of which have no problems finding and using the same printer.
What can I do to make my iMac work with the printer?

what is your MAC OSX version?

  • IPad not appearing via wifi in iTunes since re-install Lion

Ever since I re-installed Lion on my macbook, my Ipad doesn't wirelessly appear in iTunes (it did before) any more. It only works when I link it with the cable. My iPad doesn't recognize it anymore because of my macbook's new 'user name', I presume. How can I reset the connection?

    Hi,
Thanks. I already knew that document and checked all the steps (except the router, but that can't be the problem since it worked before with the same router settings). I checked them again, but nothing changed.
The sync-box is checked in iTunes, both my iPad and MacBook are on the same network (I only have one network), on both my MacBook and my router I switched off the firewall completely, my iPad is recharging on the lightnet, I restarted both iTunes and my iPad numerous times... Tried it all.
