Synchronize TOC greyed out?

I have a RobohelpHTML project, everything is great except
when you click on pages in the TOC the TOC does not stay
highlighted or automatically expand a book to give the user context
as to where they are. As far as I can tell from reading around, I
need to synchronize the TOC in order to have this behavior.
However, when I go to the properties of the WebHelp layout, the
check box for "Synchronize TOC" is greyed out so I can't do it and
I can't figure out why it is greyed out?

The only way I could get it greyed out was to clear the check
box for the Content button on the second page of the wizard. That
also prevents the TOC displaying so it can't be that as your TOC
does display.
You say it is the check box for synchronising that is greyed.
If you deselect the check box, then the dropdown becomes disabled.
It isn't the dropdown that you see greyed rather than the check
box?

Inspector Document TOC Update now (Greyed out)

My pages document is currently 108 pages and growing.
It's in need of TOC but although all my instances of Heading 2 are highlighted when I use the styles disclosure triangle and select "Select all uses of Heading 2" in the Inspector TOC tab, after deselecting every other style apart from Heading 2, the "Update Now" button is greyed out.
Any ideas, anyone?

I think you were assuming I already had a TOC but my problem was with creating one.
It wasn't until I re-read the instructions that I noticed you must: Insert > TOC (I thought the 'Update' button would insert it).
I tried using Insert, and it came up with a message suggesting the Header 2 style was not used in the document, but when I tried again at the beginning of the document, it worked!
It doesn't matter to me where the TOC is, it's a video script and the TOC is simply for my own use.
Thanks for your help - not the actual answer, but it led me to it.

"Synchronize TOC" disabled when compiling WebHelp

When I compile WebHelp for a particular project, the
"Synchronize TOC" option (and some others) are disabled. I can't
figure out how this project is different from our other projects,
so I don't know what to fix. Does anyone know why Synchronize TOC

Hi Eileen.
Do you have the "Contents" toolbar button selected above the
"Synchronize TOC" option. If you don't, this option is greyed
out.

Hi, I am using Captivate 8.0.1 and am having trouble with 2 things:
1. The bullets and indents that I have formated for my responsive project appear very messed up and not as I have formatted when I view my project in Edge Inspect?
2. Some options in the TOC are greyed out (that I really need for my project). These option are to upload an icon and to align the position of the TOC (It wont let me align to the side of my project as the only option available is for 'overlay'.
Any ideas on how to fix these problems would be much appreciated.

Captivate 8 introduced the first "Responsive" type of project. And in these types of projects, certain things simply won't work in the output. Henceforth, their options will often be disabled (or "grayed out"). The TOC appears to be one such item. The only option is to use an overlay TOC. I would suspect that this is because of "responsive design". Since the output will be adapting to differing screen sizes, I'm guessing that adding an additional 250 or so pixels for a TOC could prove troublesome and would likely throw off all the other design elements.
Where exactly are you finding you are not capable of uploading an icon? I see that I'm able to upload icons that represent the collapse and expand gizmos, but you may be in a different spot.

Go to the bibliothec module, select the folder, right click on the folder and hit synchronize

Unlink Audio & Video greyed out in Premeire Elements 13 (Windows 8.1) [new user]

I posted (or at least I thought the post worked) this question Mar.27th but I can't find it or any replies I may have gotten so if anyone knows its whereabouts I'd appreciate you're telling me how to see it so I won't have 2 threads running for the same question. My question is: why is the option to unlink the audio and video tracks greyed out when I'm trying to substitute part of an audio clip (without ruining the synchronization between the existing audio and video). I'm working with a saved "projectX.prel" file. I noticed when I opened a new project that the UNLINK option is active. This seems contrary to logic i.e wouldn't the unlink action be more likely to be needed when working on an existing file as opposed to when working on a brand new file? How can I separate the 2 components (audio & video) so I can edit just the audio clip without the UNLINK procedure working? Would really appreciate any help anyone can offer with any of the foregoing. Thanks.

Is there any remote possibility that the video and audio are really unlinked to start.
Let us take suggestion A, you say that Link Audio and Video is active choice for what you believe to a linked video audio on the Timeline.
You have your clip in the Expert workspace and the clip is not selected as represented in screenshot 1.
If you click on the Video 1 portion of the clip, does the video portion and audio portion highlight to look like what you see in screenshot 2
where the video and audio portion both look highlighted.
Or, if you click on the Video 1 portion of the clip, is it just the video portion that looks highlighted and the audio part
continues to look unhighlighted? As seen in the next screenshot 3?

and in the 13.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file which you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 13.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives enabled so that you can see the complete path given.

Hyperlinks greyed out

Hi there, I am trying to create hyperlinks in an Indesign TOC. However the Hyperlink option is greyed out in the options menu. I looked at other discussions and the advice when this happened was always to trash or change the preferences. I looked at that document but the files it mentions to trash are not on my system. I am using a new MAC and version CS5 of Indesign.

The down side of the keyboard method is that if you have a fast computer, it's hard to press the keys fast enough. It's not the repetition, it's getting in the keystrokes fast enough.
If you can't find the files on a Macintosh, it's probably because in Lion and Mountain Lion, your Home > Library file is by default hidden. In the Finder, if you hold down the Option key when you choose the Go menu, you should be able to see Library as a choice. Then you can probably find the files that Peter Spier refers to in this documentation:

Greyed out duplicates of music in my itunes

Every time i plug my iphone into itunes, the library will show up with duplicate songs that will be greyed out with a synchronize symbol next to it.ive tryed almost every thing there is to try, ive updated my itunes ive restored my phone ive looked in preffrences and done every thing i can think of but the greyed out music comes back every time i plug my iphone in my new mac book air. i just swiched from an old pc and i cant figure out what the problem is. please help.

Hey! Issue is caused by one of the following!
A: You have only downloaded part of an album and the other songs from the album are greyed out because apple want you to buy the rest
B: You purchased an album and only half downloaded on the phone and you have automatic downloads enabled in iTunes and it has synced from iTunes but your phone doesn't realise this
C: The phone has been disconnect mid sync

Desktop Manager Greyed Out & Inaccessible

This is a new problem with Desktop manager as I previously had access to it. When I plug my Blacbkberry in and start up Desktop Manager, the full BB Desktop Manager window greys out (inaccessible). The title bar is showing as connected, the server staus (at bottom of BB Desktop Manager window) is online, the actuve device is detected and my Blackberry PIN is shown is the connected device. However, since the entire Desktop Manager box is greyed out, I do not have access to any of the buttons, such as synchronize. When the Blackberry is disconnected from my computer, then I can access the buttons (i.e., the greyed out area is normal again). I followed the Blackberry Trouble Shooting guide online for when the synchronize now button is not available, including uninstalling and reinstalling the software and turning off the antivirus software. I also did all updates for Windows. I'm running Windows 98. Any suggestions? What causes this?

I am also experiencing a very similar situation. I have a Rogers 8310 Curve that syncs to my Win XP Pro laptop using CompanionLink to sync to my Goldmine CRM. I have the original Blackberry Desktop Manager Ver 4.2.0.15 installed. Up until this afternoon, the synchronization has worked perfectly ... never a problem.
During a Sync today, I inadvertandantly unplugged my Curve from the USB cable (forgetting that it was in the middle of a sync). Destination folder is greyed out

I'm trying to synchronize a large folder of music files from my computer (Win 8.1) to the micro SD card on my phone (Android), via Synctoy 2.1. When I set up the sync, I select my left folder (fine, no problem), but when I try to select my right
folder the box is greyed out, preventing me from setting up a sync. What can I do to resolve this?

Based on my test, I can normally use Synctoy 2.1 in Windows 8.1.
Please open the event viewer and check if there are any related error log. For more information about the event log, please refer to the following article.

Additionally, please try to uninstall Synctoy 2.1 and reinstall it, and then check if the issue is resolved.

Browse Sequences option is greyed out

Hello everyone,
When I use the wizard to setup my Generate output the Browse
Sequences option is greyed out. The checkbox is in the second
window in the wizard under the Additional Options view.
The navigation buttons for Next, Previous, and Sync TOC in
the webhelp output don't display. However, the close nav pane is
displayed and works fine.
Is there a way that I can enable the browse options in the
output?

Connect to internet button inactive (greyed out)?

To bluetooth connection to my E52-1 RM-469 (Firmware 034.001) works. I can view messages, synchronize and so on. Also internet connection over USB-cable works.
When connected by bluetooth the button under tools "connect to internet" is inactive (greyed out). I haven't found any entry in the knowledge database about this behaviour.
While initially creating the bluetooth connection it said something like "bluetooth driver installation postponed".

Did you installed latest drivers for Bluetooth stack?
Also Under Bluetooth settings, look for "services" and make sure "Dial-up" is checked.
i don't know about XP but in Win7 it is found under Control Panel> devices and printers>"Nokia Bluetooth phone" >properties>"Services" tab>dial-up.
Right click on "My Computer">manage>device manager>modems>look if "Nokia E52 Bluetooth Modem" is installed.

Form "greys out" while running if it loses focus.

I am running 10g on OC4J. If my form is displayed and working in the background. E.G calling a procedure and I open anything else when I go back to the form it stays "greyed out" until the process finishes.
Is there some command I can call to rectify this?

if you have one process then it's grayed out till the end of the procedure.
if you can split the routine and create (e.g. all 10% of the whole procedure) some synchronize-stops, then you have some seconds the gray background till the next synchronize and after that you see the form.
but we aware: synchronize costs performance. each synch has a roundtrip through your network.

Text wrap options are greyed out

Hi,
I am trying to create a "drop cap" by selecting a text box and changing the wrap options in the inspector however, the "object placement" options to wrap the text are greyed out and I can not change them, except for the options below, such as "object causes to wrap" check box and the "text fit" boxes.
Is this a glitch? I have restarted both my program and whole computer, as well as tried it in a new document, and it still is coming up greyed out.
HELP, I have a project due and I need to be able to add in drop caps!

Wi-fi option on my ipod touch is greyed out?

My ipod touch won't connect via wi-fi and the option is greyed out when I try to connect manually. Two other ipod touches in my house are working fine. I've already reset it 3 times and no change.

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
