Synchronizing apple tv youtube history with online youtube account
I would like my apple tv youtube history to be available on my youtube account online, and vice-versa.
Is there anything that I should do, any setting that I need to change, for that to happen?

I recently changed my apple ID but my previous apple ID is associated with my icloud account. I'm setting up my new iphone 6 and cannot complete the set up until I can sync my icloud account. Does anyone know how to change the icloud id?
Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iPhone and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your phone). -
everytime i try to sign on to icloud it tells me that my apple id isnt associated with a icloud account so how am i supposed to set up an icloud account if it wont let me sign in using my id

Don't want mail account to sync with online email account
I just got a new mac mini and will soon quit using my imac that I bought around 2006 10.6.8.
I am setting up Mail.
Can I get it to work the way my old mail did.
The problem
In the past my gmail would download to mail and if I deleted an email on my computer in Mail, it would delete. I have 1172 old emails online on my gmail account and I want to keep them there. Now when I deleted the messages that downloaded on my computer mail program, they reappear. It seems as if it is syncing with what is online.
My husband's yahoo account downloads to Mail. Before I only got what was in his inbox. Sometimes people send me mail to his address, this way I have can check this on my computer. When I set up his yahoo account in Mail, all of his folders and emails downloaded. No big deal, I could delete the emails and they still remain on his online yahoo account. The problem is that it downloaded all of his folders and mail won't let me delete the folders.
It's nice to have the new mini mac but I have to figure out what is different, especially on programs that I use a lot.
backed up my documents, music and photos and more on an external hardrive. I would like to transfer folders and the emails they contain from the old mac. Does anyone know how I find them? I basically put all the files in home folder on the external drive. I didn't know if I would find them under Library or what.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.I had it set as imap and did not realize it. it was Pop that I wanted. Now it is pop and I am getting what I want. Thanks.

i have an ipod with several podcasts and files manually added to my account that i want to save to my icloud account but i'm worried about losing the files from the old ipod. is there a safe way to save my podcasts to my new icloud account without deleting the files from my old ipod? I'd like to maintain the file names I've alreay coded.

My iphone safari history, my 'reading list' shows visits and sites that I have never frequented. A few months back the same thing happened with my youtube history.
My phone is pass protected, and its just me using it, phone with me all the time. any ideas?

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

Thanks, Bob. I've seen this suggested before. However, I'm at a friend's place (cat-sitting). He owns an older MacBook (almost positive) and he streams audio without Airfoil. All he uses is AirPort Express. He told me to simply click alt-option and the volume icon and a menu drops down, and I select "AirPort Express". But it never appears. All the menu offers is this:
"AirPort Express" isn't an option.
Why is that? Is there something fundamental I'm not doing? -

I have a Mac Air. When I go to view video online (youtube for example), the screen for the video comes up with a black square space where the video should play. But there is no pay button and the vidoe never starts playing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Im having trouble with FF & Youtube; it wont play videoes
i'm having trouble with FF; Youtube videos dont play, just a black screen ? ; they play ok on Google Chrome; BBC news videos play ok with FF. I have upgraded Adobe Flash no look, reverted to previous, no luck. I'm running Windows 7, on a DELL Inspiron with terraflops of memory and no system bugs, clean as a whistle.
FF is my default browser. The mouse-over previews play? Sometime for fractions of second videos try to play, then revert to black screen.http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538

I never set up an actual YouTube account.If you never set up a YouTube account, no. Those settings are stored either with the account (if you have one) or with the application (if you don't).

Since upgrading to Leopard, videos online (youtube) are skipping
Since I've upgraded to Leopard on my MacBook Pro, it seems that when I watch videos online (youtube) using Safari or Firefox, the video lags and skips, as though the internet connection is slow. However, a mac user next to me using the same connection has no problem watching the videos. Sometimes after rebooting, the video seems to stream a little better for a short while, but after a few minutes the video skips and lags once again. It does not seem to be a browser issue since it happens with both Safari and Firefox. A few others have had this issue and have posted questions but I have yet to read a solution.
Any thoughts?because all the videos on youtube a flash files, i'd suggest going to Adobe's website and getting the new flash player for osx (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&ogn=EN_US-gntray_dlgetflashplayer ), that should fix your problems, also if you are still on 10.5.0 i'd suggest updating to 10.5.3

It does not have to be your iCloud ID.
It can be any Apple ID that has had any email verified.
This issue can arise if the computer has had a Logic board replaced and the Serial number not put back on it.
Use the Apple Menu top left > About this Mac
Click twice on the line that currently tell you the OS version.
Is the Serial Number present ?

YouTube App - Can't log in with my Google Account
I have a problem, since i have changed my google account I can connect no more to the YouTube service with the pre-installed app on my iPhone 4s but i can correctly log in using the website.
The error is "Username or Password aren't correct"
What's happened? What can I do?

FrancescoLast night I performed the update for the new Apple TV OS. When I went to the Youtube App, it miraculously worked... after weeks of getting the error message "Cannot connect to youtube".

Can nolonger watch YouTube movies with my new Safari 2.0.4
I recently went from an eMac with 10.3.9 - Jaguar, to an iMac with 10.4.8 Tiger. My Safari is 2.0.4.
While I was able to watch all YouTube movies, I can nolonger do so. The movie stops about 5 seconds after watching a movie. It behaves as though I already watched the movie.
I did a search to see if I could find similar incidents, and I can see that others may have experienced this problem, but no resolution was ever made.
I run the disk utility almost daily, so there are no permissions that need repairing. I use Foxfire to watch the YouTube movies with no problem, so it appears to be a Safari thing. Not really a 'Safari' thing, more than a Safari 2.0.4 thing - at least it seems that way.
