Synchronizing audio and video on a transparent layer - can it be done?

Let me start by saying I opened After Effects CS3 for the first time last weekIm a nubbie. To date I have been working in Premiere Pro CS3, Photoshop etc trying to tweak things and make-do with effects and titles I know After Effects was made for.
Can I apply an After Effects lighting/flash effect to transparent clip?
I have a long title in PPro that comes in as we hear the Narrator speaking. The last words are all of this for Reading! On the word reading I want to add a lens flare synchronized with and audio Ting-a-Ling bell noise.
In P-Pro I have been able to use Knoll Light Factory for the lens flare, and I found the right .wav file. Synchronizing them has been the problem its ok but not great. So here is where I turned to After Effects. Using Convert Audio to Key Frames I was able to generate a null object (?) and this I link (with the whip tool) to the Brightness and Scale attributes in Knolls Light Factory LE effect.
Great so far but Id like to apply the over all effect to a transparent clip so I can lay it right in on top of my P Pro time line. This title sequence is complex; I do not want to re-create it from scratch in After Effects. Is there a way to add a lighting effect to some sort of transparent video?

Hi Query 101! First of all welcome to the Apple community forums!
No, you don't need to configure it! I am guessing you have brought the apple wireless keyboard?
All you need to do is connect the keyboard to your iPad via bluetooth!
Go to Settings app
Select General
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on
Make sure your keyboard is in discovery mode (press the silver button on the right side of the keyboard - the green light will start flashing)
In the Bluetooth section on the iPad, you should see the wireless keyboard
Select the found keyboard to pair it with the iPad
You'll be asked to type a pairing code on the keyboard - if it's entered successfully, your keyboard will be paired with the iPad (or any iOS device with Bluetooth)
Note that when you are using the Bluetooth keyboard, the normal iPad keyboard does not appear - turn off Bluetooth or the external keyboard (press and hold the button on the right side of the Apple Wireless Keyboard), or travel outside the 10-15m range of Bluetooth to go back to using the regular iPad keyboard

Operating Windows 7 Home Premium, 2 user accounts. Running Firefox one user can stream audio and video, the other cannot. Can anyone help?

Two accounts set up. One can stream audio and video using Firefox, the other account cannot. The account with cannot stream a/v is able to steam a/v using (gasp) MS Internet Explorer. Is there some setting I have screwed up?

you can use the Manager. createMergingDataSource(DataSource[] sources) merge 2 streams first , then
play the merged DataSource.

Is it possible to have a synchronized audio and video on a video conferencing application running on jmf? Doing this project has led to discoveries that audio is slower than video to transmit. The videos are small: 3 to 5 minutes, maximum.
However, I think I know what the problem is. When captivate
build the project it converts avi to mp3. In this process it uses
the configured options of the audio file, including the bitrate
option. The problem is that the mp3 bitrate will be different from
the avi bitrate, and they should be equal.
Despite that I couldn´t solve this problem, because
captivate and the other product I´n using "DubIt" seems to
have incompatible bitrates! I can´t get an equivalent bitrate
to both products?
Does anyone use Dubit and know how to get an equivalent
bitrate in both products? In captivate we can configure a custom
bitrate but the choices are still limited.

Honestly, I don't even know why this is an option. The conversion to Flash is completely unusable.
I have exported some things to Flash, and since I program in Flash all the time I was able to manipulate to work to some degree. Most text captions are built with multiple elements and completely fall apart.

we installed lync2013 server on windows 2012 server .Windows client working perfectly without any problems but we have some MacBook pro (maverick) with lync 2011 installed (14.0.8) .Mac clients can log in , make Instant messaging but can not make audio and

Please try to clear all preferences for Mac Lync.
You can do as following steps in the link:

Re: Separating audio and video

When you feed your video through a processor, the processor itself will separate the audio and video into "tracks" which you can then iterate through and enable / disable as you please. If you want just video, disable all the audio tracks, and vice versa.
Take a look below the "// Program the tracks." comment in the following example file:

Convert to MPEG2 Combined Audio and Video

I am editing a commercial that needs to end up in MPEG2 with combined audio and video. What is the process by which I do this. Obviously compressor splits the audio and video, but I need it combined.

Been there, done that.
I know the layout of Compressor 2 was different - can't remember if these presets were added for 3. Have you looked for Program Stream presets under Compressor 2?
Here's a thread I found on the Cow - says that after you use Compressor 2.3 to create your MPEG and AUDIO files, use MPEG Streamclip to mux them.

I have a requirement to serve video and audio on my application. Could anyone
please give me the details about how to configure webLogic8.1 for streaming audio/video.
Where should the files be placed? How to go about it...etc...etc.

I'm wondering why they want to apply a restriction like this one, this really does not make sense to me...
I've seen in a shop a device with 32gb internal flash to connect to the iphone ipad and use it like an hd for storing stuff, if they allow such thing why they don't allow this one, there is no difference in the end, also they allow streaming thru wi-fi, and they allow media players to store and read audio and video without using itunes. So i really don't get the point of their policy.

ha. having the video is killer. there are a couple ways to do this. i'd recommend using the blade tool (tap b twice to get the one that cuts all tracks), make a cut through the audio and the video at the points where you want it sped up, then right click the clip itself (which should be linked with audio and video) and then just set it to whatever speed you want. it'll have the same effect. you might have to adjust boundaries or you can select ripple.
alternatively, it looks like you just needed to do the same thing to the audio that you did to the video in that clip you uploaded. you can always relink things by selecting the audio and video and hitting cmnd+L.

Have you done all your Windows updates?
Have you ran the HP Support Assistant to aid with any HP updates ?

Audio and video not synchronized in recording made with Lync 2013

There appears to be no forum for the Lync 2013 client yet, so I am posting this in the Lync 2013 server forum.
Environment: Lync 2013 Server and Lync 2013 32-bit client. Only one Lync pool. Conference call was scheduled using "Lync Meeting" in Outlook about a week before the call. Call recorded on a laptop that was plugged into our LAN with an Ethernet
cable.
Problem: User scheduled a conference call with screen sharing (PowerPoint) and recorded the call. The audio and video are not synchronized in the recording. There is several minutes' delay, with the audio lagging behind the PowerPoint. The last slide
on the call was presented, the call ended, and the presenter ended the recording (I was present for all this and can confirm no user error in these steps); however, in the recording, the slides change before the speaker talks about it, and the last
couple of minutes are cut off.
Any ideas on why this happened? Web research has failed me. Thank you.

You may need to lower the recording quality as your PC might not be able to keep up the pace.
Go to Options in Lync client -> Recording -> Select 480p

Audio and Video Not Synchronizing in the Same Clip.

Ok, So I have had Adobe Premier Pro for a while now an I love it. I just have one not so insignificant problem with it. I was in the middle of making a video (with one particularly long clip in it) and I noticed something that began to happen in the beginning of the clip and went up until about thirty seconds. The audio and video gradually became further and further apart until they were about three seconds off. I was only using one clip so there should be no way I screwed up the placement of the files in the timeline. Viewing the clip in quicktime player does not give me that problem, so it's either a problem with Premiere Pro, or something else that I am unaware of. It has became so bad that I even downloaded iMovie so I could at least get this movie edited. I am pretty new to Premier Pro so any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!
