Synchronizing calendar with Yahoo

In the older version of the Desktop Manager software, one of the options offered for synchronizing my Blackberry with my computer was Yahoo. With the new version of Desktop Manager (5.0.1) this option does not appear. Is this no longer available? I would rather not change to Microsoft Outlook (there seem to be lots of problems synching with that). Any suggestions?

Synchronizing Calendars with iPhone/iPod Touch

For those of us stuck in the Windows environment that do not use Outlook, there is a BIG problem synchronizing Calendars with an iPhone (or iPod Touch). It would be so helpful for Apple to open the API so programs like Sync-In-A-Blink could be written for the Calendar. I do not understand why the API is not available

Few days ago I lost some of my cell contacts and calendars syncronized with yahoo and gmail. I tried to resync again, reopening the account but it appears an advise telling: the contact sync coulnd't not be done, please train again later. I tried later many times but I cant. Some one has a solution????

Syncing iphone calendar with yahoo mail

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to sync my iphone calendar with my yahoo calendar. I use att yahoo for my email and prefer to continue doing so. I have an old version of Outlook with no calendar. Short of buying a new version of Outlook for my computer, is there any solutions? I don't understand why this shouldn't be possible since I can get Yahoo mail on my iphone. Would Mobile Me do that?

Sjazbec, I have to disagree based on experience. Since activatingiCloud on my iPhone 4 (updated to IOS 5) and the mail app on my newiMac (running LION) last Tuesday, NONE of my email shows up in theyahoo inbox via the mail app on my iphone. ALL of my email is visiblefrom the yahoo website page through Safari. NONE of the mail sent frommy iPhone appears in the Sent folder on Yahoo.
Until last Tuesday, none of this happened with my iPhone 4.
Onmy iPhone, I went to Settings->iCloud and deleted my iCloud account(option available if you scroll all the way down) completely, andvoila, lo and behold, instantly, all my email since Tuesday magicallyappears in my inbox.
I admit it's likely I have noconcept as to how iCloud is supposed to work. Of course, I bought bothLion and IOS5 and neither came with any explanation.

Syncing ipad 2 calendar with yahoo calendar

When I go into my ipad calendar my yahoo calendar is atomatically listed, and it shows items from my yahoo calendar from the past year. but as I add to my yahoo calendar it is not updating to my ipad 2.
I'd like it to sync everytime I open the calendar, or on its own in the background. What do I do?

Connect iPad 2. The laptop should open iTunes. Click on iPad 2 under Devices in left column. On the right section of the iTunes window, click the Music tab and select all of the songs you want. While you're there, check each of the other tabs to make sure everything is set to sync the way you want. Click Sync (bottom right).

Synchronizing Calendar with Outlook Marks Everyday of the Year as an Event

Scenario: 2nd Generation Touch 32GB, Windows XP Pro SP3, Outlook 2003
Prior to purchasing my touch last week, I have been able to successfully synchronize my calendar and contacts with my iPod Classic.
My new iPod Touch synchronizes my contacts and calendar with Outlook; however, my iPod Touch also marks everyday of the year (including those without events) with a Dot to indicate that something is occuring that day. Thus, I have to click on each day to determine when there is an actual event. The iPod Touch seems partially aware that there are no events for these days because it displays "no events" when you scroll to those days. HHHEELLPPP!
How do I prevent the iPod Touch from marking everyday of the year with the a dot to indicate that an event is scheduled for that day? Is there an obsure setting causing this behavior?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

you have a couple of options:
Mail for Exchange -- will sync to your Exchange server over the air (flat rate data plan strongly recommended) just like the WiMo devices do. I do this since about two years, first with my E61i and now with my E71. Fast, simple, and easy.
SyncML -- services such as Funambol and others can let you run this option. To sync my Exchange at work and Outlook at home, I'm using a local copy of Funambol (plus always-on DSL plus DynDNS and a few trix), although there are also some open Funambol-based services you can use. You will need to install a Funambol sync client on your PC, but it's not the Nokia PC Suite!
Other options that come to mind could be Google Calendar and similar -- somehwere a server in the sky where you dump your calendar and contacts regulary and sync them up to the phone.
My personal recommendation is MfE.

Syncing calendar with yahoo group page.

Updated to the new ICAL and unlike the previous version cannot get it to link to my group page on yahoo. Any suggestions on how to get ICAL on my group page?

Can anyone help with this issue please? We have a laptop running Windows 8. We use Office 365, and use Outlook to read mail. We have a googlemail email account. We also have a Blackberry Q10 phone. We would like to be able to add calendar events either to the phone or to Outlook and have them sync with one another automatically. We already have email being delivered successfully to the BB. Please can someone provide straightforward instructions in simple language that does not assume advanced understanding of technical jargon! We just need step by step, what to do to each device to achieve the desired outcome. Thank you!

Synchronizing Calendar with calDAV "forgets" to synchronize appointments

I'm using thunderbird and lightning with a groupware caldav server. It's working fine, except for a few selected appointments that show up in the web-interface of the groupware - however, they are never synched to lightning.
I would like to solve this, so my first thought was to investigate in th error console. However, there is no error following a sync of the calendar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe your outlook calendar includes something which cause problems in phone's calendar.
Try this:
1. Create a new Calendar to Outlook and set PC Sync to using it (PC Sync > Settings > Microsoft Outlook > Select folder > set the new Calendar in use)
2. Clear your phones Calendar (maybe there is option for that)
3. Start synchronize -> if it is working, copy some of items from old Calendar to new one and sync again...(
You should able to find Calendar item which cause problem in phone side. If you find the reason, let me known about it.

Issues with syncing with Yahoo! calendar

I have had my Palm Pre on Sprint for about two months and initially enjoyed its capabilities, particularly layered email accounts, contacts, and calendars. I use Yahoo for email, contacts, and family calendars. For the first month I had my Pre, everything synchronized fairly well - I was able to input events on my Yahoo calendar and on my Pre calendar and they would sync without issue. Within the last two weeks, I have been unable to access my Yahoo calendar online; Yahoo has said they are aware of the issue but offered no solution. I also realized that while I can see my daugther's calendar, I can no longer see my son's. I have tried removing my yahoo accounts on my pre to try to reinstall but am unable to remove the accounts to begin with. So in a nutshell, my issues are these: 1) I am only able to see limited layer's of my Yahoo calendars on my Pre and 2) I can no longer see my Yahoo calendars online.
Has anyone else had these issues? Is there anything else I can try? This is frustrating as I have abandoned my paper calendar and rely heavily on my Palm for organization. I previously had a Centro and never had any problems. I am beginning to think that the Palm is not the "step up" I thought it would be. Thanks.

Hmm..I just got my new Pre 1 week ago and do not seem to have this issue. Just to double check, I tried to create an event in Yahoo then wait a few minutes for it to appear on the Pre--all OK. I did the reverse, entered it on the pre, waited about 2 min and there it was on the Yahoo cal. -- all OK.
I do know that the reminder alarms from yahoo will not sycnch to te Pre (the Pre uses it's own preset reminder) and did find 1 time that when i created 2 or 3 reminders in yahoo, the event DID NOT show up on the Pre...but this happened just 1 time but perhaps this is the culprit.
As for the other users calendars, I cannot comment as I do not have sharing or a similar situation.

Can't get Palm Desktop app to react after syncing with Yahoo mail calendar info

Attempted to move calendar from Yahoo mail page to Palm Desktop in my Macbook--
Yahoo page says "don't use Intellisync" --thre is a new program called Autosync--but it turns out it doesn't work for Macs --clearly, many instructions on Yahoo paged do not apply to Macs--
find this is a common problem on many sites--assumption that all are PC folks.
Imagine how things will go if Microsoft actually buys Yahoo!
Anyway--Created Calendar as a CV file and imported to Palm Desktop--
now cannot get program to run correctly--it appears all of the calendar info was imported to calendar day on which I imported it--so there is a huge amount of info being processed whenever I attempt to interact with the app.--the dreaded beachball appears and spins endlessly--
Have re-installed Palm app. (4.2.1) but problem seems to be imbedded, and re-occurs.
Is there any solution except to dump the entire app. from my hard drive, lose my archive et. al.
and re-synch from my Tungsten E2???

Can't sync Yahoo calendar with Palm Pre

I've been having a hell of a time trying to get this palm pre up and running. I've tried all sorts of apps to try and get my Palm desktop data onto my phone, but since I never used the Outlook program none of them worked. I've always just operated on the palm desktop. I found one that worked from companionlink, but for some reason when i started using it my phone would restart itself. My last ditch effort to try and keep this phone (and my sanity) was to manually enter all my information into my web acct with yahoo. I already had the account, and my contacts, email, etc is already there. This should be as easy as adding it as an account on my phone, but for some reason it isn't. I've made it the primary account, added it to the phone, added the password, and still when i sync, nothing shows up on the datebook on my phone. it's blank. HELP!!!!

one more thing.....my yahoo email alerts are coming through fine on the phone....i get them all, so there is a connection there. i just can't get my calendar.

Can no longer sync calendar events with Yahoo! Calendar

I have an ipod Touch 4G. It used to be able to sync calendar items back to Yahoo! Calendar so I didn't have to enter them manually once I had entered them on the Touch.
Now I learn that in iO5 I can no longer do this with Yahoo! Calendar. I thought that Apple prided itself on being user friendly. I am sorry, but I have to consider this change "user hostile."
One reason I bought the iPod Touch was that it would sync to my Yahoo! Calendar. Come on, guys! Not fair!

I have the same problem with my ipod nano. I downloaded tunes from my old pc. ITunes does not recognise it from my new pc and I cannot sync.

Calendar will not sync with Yahoo via DM

First timer here....researched this issue in this forum and have tried everything being offered but I have not had any luck. Here is what has happened....initailly tried to set up google calendar (business) to go along with yahoo calendar (personal) but wasnt having luck with that so i removed all referenced to the gmail.com acct from the BB. Default Services shows yahoo.com and Service books show the yahoo.com as CICAL and as well. There is no referernce to gmail.com listed as calendar. When i sync using DM, nothing happens for the calendar.
I have tried taking out the battery, resending service book, resetting the calendar but all to no avail. My wife has no problem with syncing her BB as we share the same yahoo.com acct. The only difference I can see if in DM where the her Device Database lists 'Calendar' and "Calendar-All' with number of entries while mine only lists 'Calendar-All with no entries.
Any help will be appreciated as Sprint was unable to help me at all.

Events made on iPad calendar (through my yahoo account) don't sync with yahoo calendar on the Web. I'm on latest iOS both on iPad and iPhone4. Any ideas?

I am a PC user so cannot help with your Mac interfaces. I can sync (crudely) my Windows 7 Address book with iTunes. But, I cannot sync my Windows Mail or Calendar with iTunes (unless I have Microsoft Exchange).
Microsoft Exchange is not available to me. This is why I use the iPod to sync with to Yahoo for email and Calendar.
The best I can tell, iTunes does NOT support an interface with Yahoo.

Sync iphone with yahoo calendars

I use yahoo mail along with yahoo calendars. The new iphone allowes me to since with the mail, but only gives me an option to sync with outlook for calendars.
Is there a way to do this?

You can synch yahoo calendar to your iphone if you have an iMac and Yahoo Calendar Beta. First log into your yahoo calendar, then search for yahoo calendar beta, then switch to the beta calendar (be warned, if you switch any calendar entries made in beta will be lost if you go back to classic calendar). Then go to iMac open iCal and add a new calendar. Add yahoo calendar (instructions can be found by searching support for the yahoo calendar beta url). It's not real time, but it does get your events to your iphone.
