Synchronizing user data from SUS

Hi,
We are on SRM 7.0 and have setup MM-SUS scenario with XI as the interface.
We are trying to replicate the users(Contact persons) created by the admin person of a company in SUS into SRM also with 'Bidder' role.
For this I have made the following settings as per SAP document.
1. In Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management under SAP Implementation Guide SAP Supplier Relationship
Management -- Supplier Self-Services -- Master Data -- Maintain Systems for Synchronization of User Data
2. In the External Systems view, select New Entries.
3. Under Logical System, select the system to which you want to connect the SUS User Management.
4. Set the Activated indicator to activate the synchronization of user data with this system.
5. In the System Name field, enter the reference name of your choice.
6. Enter a role, /SAPSRM/BIDDER, that can be assigned to the user in this system.
However after creation of users(Contact persons) , when the Admin user saves this data he gets the following error: "You are not authorized to create users in group".
Kindly advise on how to proceed.
Thanks & regards,
Nikhil

Hi Masa,
Had another  query. Now that we have made this synchronization in SUS that whenever a user is created in SUS, he will be created as a bidder in SRM. Can I restrict this? Is it possible for the admin supplier to not create some contact persons as bidders? (Some contact persons should be for Order collaboration and others for bidding? )
Regards,
Nikhil

Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?  If so, how?

You can automate Acrobat using IAC (InterApplication Communications), as documented in the Acrobat SDK. Your program could loop through a collection of PDFs, load them in Acrobat, extract the form data from each, and generate a CSV file that contains the data.
Acrobat can also do this with its "Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet" function, but this is a manual process.

  • Help with migrating user data from one account to another

I am on a G5 with 10.4.11. I installed FCP studio 6 and everything works fine except compressor. I have had only one user account on this mac (i will call it account 1). I was told to create another account (account 2), log on and see if compressor works. It does. Basically there are files missing on account 1 and compressor won't run. I have installed 3 times and no change.
Anyway I was told to migrate all my user data from account 1 to account 2. I have been looking at threads and want to make sure I am doing the right thing. I found a way to close. Please see if this works. IT may be from the tiger forum:
pick a short user name for your new account. then run the following terminal commands
    sudo mkdir /users/newshortname
    sudo ditto ~ /users/newshortname
You'll have to enter your admin password (which you won't see) after the first command. that's normal. This will copy your current home directory to /users/newshortname. Then go to system preferences->accounts and create a new account with the short name newshortname. You'll get a popup saying that a home directory by that name already exists and asking if you want to use it. say yes.
Anyway, I would like to migrate everything from account 1 to 2 and have all preferences...everything. I would also like to be able to delete the old account...account 1 and rename account 2. Since this is a home MAC, I really don't need it PW protected. I would like this MAC to just use my new account 2 at start up.
Please ask me any questions. This is my editing MAC, and I can't get around inside the OS. I know FCP like the back of my hand, but don't want to screw up this computer.
    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you should be able to move most of it by changing permissions.
Network settings could be any/all of these though for instance...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.networkConnect.<12 digit number>.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.internetconnect.plist
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.networkConfig.plist
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.nat.plist
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.print.FaxPrefs.plist
As well as the old Keychain & cookies from your Browser.

    Hi,
I am trying to migrate user data on a nss volume from a SLES10sp3 and

    Hi kjhurni,
I have not setup to get update from the Novell channel as I have an issue
with connecting to the update channel but I will deal with that later.
I tried to run a miggui to migrate my data to the new server with SLES10sp3

  • Migrating Users & Data from a Powerbook G4 to a MBP

OK, I'm getting a refurb. MBP and I'm going to need to transfer over my stuff from the Powerbook G4 to the MBP. The thing is...both my 400 and 800 FW ports in the Powerbook have ceased to function, so Target Disk Mode will not work for me. I could use the Ethernet form of transfer to get everything over but that implies that the MBP will have to be up and running and have it's network settings all configured in order for it to be "seen" on the network. Is this the case? Or, upon startup of the MacBoook Pro, will I be prompted to migrate data & users via Ethernet?
In the past, I've been able to use Target Disk Mode and I'm familiar with that procedure, I just don't know what to expect via an Ethernet migration. Can anyone enlighten me?
    Thanks

A Basic Guide for Migrating to Intel-Macs
If you are migrating a PowerPC system (G3, G4, or G5) to an Intel-Mac be careful what you migrate. Keep in mind that some items that may get transferred will not work on Intel machines and may end up causing your computer's operating system to malfunction.
Rosetta supports "software that runs on the PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor that are built for Mac OS X". This excludes the items that are not universal binaries or simply will not work in Rosetta:
Classic Environment, and subsequently any Mac OS 9 or earlier applications
    Screensavers written for the PowerPC
    System Preference add-ons
    All Unsanity Haxies
    Browser and other plug-ins
    Contextual Menu Items
Applications which specifically require the PowerPC G5
    Kernel extensions
Java applications with JNI (PowerPC) libraries
See also What Can Be Translated by Rosetta.
In addition to the above you could also have problems with migrated cache files and/or cache files containing code that is incompatible.
If you migrate a user folder that contains any of these items, you may find that your Intel-Mac is malfunctioning. It would be wise to take care when migrating your systems from a PowerPC platform to an Intel-Mac platform to assure that you do not migrate these incompatible items.
If you have problems with applications not working, then completely uninstall said application and reinstall it from scratch. Take great care with Java applications and Java-based Peer-to-Peer applications. Many Java apps will not work on Intel-Macs as they are currently compiled. As of this time Limewire, Cabos, and Acquisition are available as universal binaries. Do not install browser plug-ins such as Flash or Shockwave from downloaded installers unless they are universal binaries. The version of OS X installed on your Intel-Mac comes with special compatible versions of Flash and Shockwave plug-ins for use with your browser.
The same problem will exist for any hardware drivers such as mouse software unless the drivers have been compiled as universal binaries. For third-party mice the current choices are USB Overdrive or SteerMouse. Contact the developer or manufacturer of your third-party mouse software to find out when a universal binary version will be available.
Also be careful with some backup utilities and third-party disk repair utilities. Disk Warrior 4.1, TechTool Pro 4.6.1, SuperDuper 2.5, and Drive Genius 2.0.2 work properly on Intel-Macs with Leopard. The same caution may apply to the many "maintenance" utilities that have not yet been converted to universal binaries. Leopard Cache Cleaner, Onyx, TinkerTool System, and Cocktail are now compatible with Leopard.
Before migrating or installing software on your Intel-Mac check MacFixit's Rosetta Compatibility Index.

Transferring data with Setup Assistant - Migration Assistant FAQ
Because Migration Assistant isn't the ideal way to migrate from PowerPC to Intel Macs, using Target Disk Mode, copying the critical contents to CD and DVD, an external hard drive, or networking
will work better when moving from PowerPC to Intel Macs. The initial section below discusses Target Disk Mode. It is then followed by a section which discusses networking with Macs that lack Firewire.
If both computers support the use of Firewire then you can use the following instructions:
    1. Repair the hard drive and permissions using Disk Utility.
    2. Backup your data. This is vitally important in case you make a mistake or there's some other problem.
    3. Connect a Firewire cable between your old Mac and your new Intel Mac.
    4. Startup your old Mac in Target Disk Mode.
    5. Startup your new Mac for the first time, go through the setup and registration screens, but do NOT migrate data over. Get to your desktop on the new Mac without migrating any new data over.
If you are not able to use a Firewire connection (for example you have a Late 2008 MacBook that only supports USB:)
    1. Set up a local home network: Creating a small Ethernet Network.
    2. If you have a MacBook Air or Late 2008 MacBook see the following:

Copy the following items from your old Mac to the new Mac:
In your /Home/ folder: Documents, Movies, Music, Pictures, and Sites folders.
    In your /Home/Library/ folder:
/Home/Library/Application Support/AddressBook (copy the whole folder)
/Home/Library/Application Support/iCal (copy the whole folder)
Also in /Home/Library/Application Support (copy whatever else you need including folders for any third-party applications)
    /Home/Library/Keychains (copy the whole folder)
    /Home/Library/Mail (copy the whole folder)
    /Home/Library/Preferences/ (copy the whole folder)
/Home /Library/Calendars (copy the whole folder)
/Home /Library/iTunes (copy the whole folder)
/Home /Library/Safari (copy the whole folder)
    If you want cookies:
    /Home/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plist
    /Home/Library/Application Support/WebFoundation/HTTPCookies.plist
    For Entourage users:
Entourage is in /Home/Documents/Microsoft User Data
    Also in /Home/Library/Preferences/Microsoft
Credit goes to Macjack for this information.
If you need to transfer data for other applications please ask the vendor or ask in the Discussions where specific applications store their data.
    5. Once you have transferred what you need restart the new Mac and test to make sure the contents are there for each of the applications.

Connect the two computers via FireWire to do any data transfer whether manually or with Migration Assistant.

  • Problem while Migrating user data from 10g to 11gR2

    Hi experts,
I am trying to Migrate users data(including password and security questions) from 10g to 11gR2 what approach i have followed is..
From 10g using API i retrieved users data including password and security questions and i stored all information into hashmap. This is one java program.
And then i am trying to create that user in 11gR2 using API which i retrieved from 10g . From this 11g program i am creating object of 10g and i am using that hash map to retrieve user information. But i am not getting connection to 10g , it is throwing exception like unknown application server. Both sides i used API only as it is recommended to use API instead of JDBC connection.
Help me in this regard ASAP and suggest if there is any other approach to Migrate users data.
    Thanks in Advance

By using Trusted Recon, you won't be able to Fetch Password as it is.
Since your goal is to fetch passwords too, please follow another approach.
You won't be able to get connection to both 10g and 11g simultaneously in the same program.
So, break this task in 2 phases. First connect with 10g, fetch user data in CSV format and then connect with 11G and read this CSV to create users.
Once users are created properly, use APIs for creating challenge questions and answers.
I think, you are getting exception like unknown application server because you are trying to connect to both 10g and 11g environments simultaneously.
    Follow the following steps:-
    (1) By using 10G APIsyou can't obtain password of user profile in decrypted form. So, Fetch password by using tcDataProvider. It will give you plain text password.

  • How to delete user data from damaged iPhone?

    Hi,
I have a damaged iPhone 3GS that I'm selling for parts on ebay. The device's is currently stuck on "update mode", basically I was updating to iOS 6.1 a while back and in the middle of the process, the phone returned an "hardware error" message and now it's allways stuck on the "connect to itunes" screen.
No matter what resets I try to do or restores, it wll allways return the "hardware error" message and then to the apple screen and finally to the "connect to itunes" screen.
So, I decided to sell it for parts since I've bought another (newer) iPhone, but I wanted to make sure that all my user data (accounts, text messages, phone numbers, etc.) was deleted just in case the lucky buyer manages to get it fixed. How can I do this?
Will the "clear phone data"option on iCloud do the trick, or do I need to do something more?
I also know that have to remove the iPhone from my iCloud account, is this correct?
What are procedures can you guys recomend for this?
    Thanks

I have a "new" piece of information about this issue that might help clarify the problem a bit.
I plugged it in today to do a final check on it's maladies and this is what happened:
    1.Device starts charging
2.Device show the "connect to iTunes" screen (the one with the USB and itunes icon)
    3.I connect it to iTunes
4.iTunes says something like: "This iPhone's software is damaged. A factory reset is required to restore the OS. Your device will be reset to factory settings and all your data will be deleted. After the reset is completed, you will have the possibility to restore your information on the device"
    5. I click "Restore iPhone"
    6. It starts checking for software, extracting software, etc.
7.I get the apple screen with the loading bar
    8. On iTunes the process stops on the "restoring firmware" step. It gets stuck there for a couple of hours and then eventualy it returns an hardware error
    9. The loading bar on the apple screen gets full, but the iPhone never manages to leave "restore iPhone" mode.
From all the iTunes messages and procedures that I'm doing, I take it that the iPhone's memory is in fact already wiped clean, am I assuming it right? That's why he won't boot and is stuck on recovery mode?
Can I also assume that any data I had there cannot be recovered unless I restored it from my laptop/iCloud?
And finally and just out of morbid curiosity, anyone has an idea about what is wrong with the iPhone? I never managed to figure out what happened or if it's something "fixable".
    Thanks for the help!

  • Migrate user data from SLES10sp3 OES2sp3 to new hardware (again)

    Hi,
I am running SLES10sp3_64 with OES2sp3_64 and need to migrate the user data
to a new server running the same OS. I have also updated the SLES & OES to
the maintenance pack of November 2011.
The miggui authenticates and I can select the folders for migration. Below
is an extract of the log file error:
FATAL -FILESYSTEM:migfiles:Fatal: Cannot migrate source path
/media/nss/DATA/Users/JohnG/: nbackup: Failed to open dataset
    /media/nss/DATA/Users/JohnG/ for backup

    invalid path was used.
FATAL - FILESYSTEM:migfiles:Fatal: nbackup command failed to complete
    INFO - FILESYSTEM:migfiles:

    Regards
    John

    Hi,
The log is from /var/opt/novell/migration of the miggui. The begining of the log is about the connection and the authentication to the servers. Which is 100%
I then also ran the "nbackup" command from a terminal with the same result. I don't think it matters, but I am migrating from-and-to NSS volumes.
I have looked at the tid and have checked all relevent points and again, no issues. Perhaps this is a "NCP" issue rather than a "miggui" issue.
    Thanks again.

I think there's a migration log and a debug log as well that may show some additional info.
Have you looked at this TID (slightly old, but I think most of it still applies)

  • Copy user data from Desktop HD to external HD

This is for a customer; I fix PCs and MACs for a living. Please answer all 3 questions below if you are able.
Old PowerMAC G5 has non-working mouse (i.e new mouse in different USB connector fails too) PLUS Other problems too. It does boot to an account with no login Password. However Login password for user account with admin privleges has been forgotten by customer. Customer wants to get a new MAC to replace G5.
So my job is to copy user data ONLY from PowerMAC HD to a NEW external usb HD for later copy to a MAC to be purchased later.. My plan is to use Target Disk to access the PowerMAC G5 HD (i.e G5 never boots with this approach; we are seeing G5 as it's HD ONLY.
So we have a MAC laptop in the middle running OS 10.4 or higher (unknown at the moment) and I connect via firewire cable and Target Disk to the G5 and ALSO connect the new usb external HD. It then use Disk Utility to reformat the external usb HD to Apple OS extended. And also wipe out all permissions on the external HD.
And then I drag and drop user home directories (and subfolders) from the G5 to the external HD.
HERE IS MY QUESTION: When I try to copy the user account with admin privleges which DOES HAVE A LOGIN PASSWORD OR the admin account home directories will OS X on the MAC laptop in the middle ASK ME FOR THE CORRESPONDING ACCOUNT PASSWORD or in some other way (PLEASE SPECIFY) get in the way VS just doing the copy ??
Because customer forgot the login password AND since mouse fails on G5, I cannot use an OS X install CD to wipe out the account password by booting from OS X Install CD etc etc.
SO IF THE MAC IN THE MIDDLE ASKS FOR THE LOGIN PASSWORD I am dead, I have no way of backing up the customer's data, can only back up from the user accounts with NO login password.
    (2) I am also wondering if the MAC laptop will object to copying the home directories for user accounts with NO login password.
    (3) And if the MAC in the middle objects or asks for passwords PLEASE PROVIDE A WORKAROUND if you know one. Please provide step by step instructions or a link to same as my MAC knowledge is much inferior to my PC knowledge and I probably can not "fill in the blanks"
    Mike

You will be asked to provide an administrator password for the computer you're working at during the copying process. The login passwords for the accounts aren't needed to copy the data, but if any account is protected by FileVault, that account's password will be needed to decrypt it.
For example, if you're on a computer which has an administrator password of '1234' and are trying to copy the home folder of an account for which the password is '5678', you'll need to provide '1234' to copy the home folder, but not '5678'. Opening that account's FileVault-protected disk image home folder will require '5678'.
Additionally, if the numeric UIDs of the accounts match, no password will be needed to perform the copy. This generally only applies to one account per computer, and is independent of account passwords.

  • List with user data from User Profile Service

    Hi there!
I got SP intranet site up and running with more then 2000+ users on it.
User Profile Services is getting users attributes from Active Directory.
How can i make a list with all of those users and columns like Department, Manager, Office number, etc..
After that i'm going to apply a filter by current user department.
I would really appreciate some offer.
    Thanks!

There is a sharepoint hidden list called User Information List , if you want to filter by current user department I recommend that you use ser search API and search People using SourceID
    public static ResultTable SearchUsers(string query,int limit,string [] selectproperties)
    KeywordQuery kq = new KeywordQuery(SPContext.Current.Site);
    //select properties
    foreach (string property in selectproperties)
    kq.SelectProperties.Add(property);
    kq.SourceId = new Guid("B09A7990-05EA-4AF9-81EF-EDFAB16C4E31");
    kq.QueryText = query;
    kq.RowLimit = limit;
    ResultTableCollection results = new SearchExecutor().ExecuteQuery(kq);
    return results.Filter("TableType", KnownTableTypes.RelevantResults).FirstOrDefault<ResultTable>();
you need to pass the query Department:CurrentUserDepartment and to get current user department
    UserProfileManager manager = new UserProfileManager(SPServiceContext.GetContext(SPContext.Current.Site));
    UserProfile currentUser = manager.GetUserProfile(SPContext.Current.Web.CurrentUser.LoginName);
    string department=currentUser["Department"].toString();
    Hope that helps|Amr Fouad|MCTS,MCPD sharePoint 2010

  • Download of user data from SU01

    Hi,
Can anyone point me to a report that will give me a download of all user data held in SU01. In particular I am looking for email address and parameters?
    Thanks
    Hannah

    Hi,
    (as it was already mentioned)
I am not sure if it is extracted in any standard report. But maybe it will help you:
    - reference (PERSNUMBER) to address data is stored in table USR21, while address itself is stored in table ADR6
    - parameters are stored in table USR05
    Cheers

  • Wiping user data from iMac for return

    Hi,
my replacement imac has arrived and this time the airport seems fine (see my previous post). Now I need to wipe all my user data off the other mac before it gets picked up for returns. What is the easiest / quickest way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Theo

Use Apple Disk Utility. Go to "Options" and use at least a 7-Pass Erase. A simple erase will leave much of your data vulnerable to recovery by any unwanted source or person.
    Good luck.

  • Can you get User Data from a XI/PI System ?

    Hello All
Can you with GRC 5.3 use PI as a User Data Source?
    How?
    Thank you

    Hi Kristian,
for the AC 5.3 system user store itself or for the user details / user search you could use SAP ABAP, SAP UME, LDAP, etc.
Short: yes, you could use the ABAP user store of PI.

  • Win XP to Win 7 - Using OSD - Capturing User data from Profiles

    Hi All,
I'm having a few issues with capturing users profiles using USMT moving from Windows XP to Windows 7 as part of a task sequence - we use a SMP to save the data but strangely it wont apply the data on Apply state store. The OS deployment works fine but saving
user's data and moving it too new PC doesnt seem to apply. I am using Stock requests for the task sequence Find user state storage capture user state etc and like wise at the end apply user state and release user state but doesnt seem to work. Are there any
variables that need to be added to get this working or am i missing something stupid? We do use same PC to image and have mentioned about hardlinking but powers that be want to use SMP. How would this work also if when using Computer association(due to the
Windows 7 pc not being setup yet)?
Apologies if im missing something simple

You are doing what is called a "refresh" OSD scenario...refreshing the OS on the computer while maintaining user state. SCCM automatically creates a computer association in that instance. If an existing Replace (Old to New) computer association
does not already exist, then it will create a Refresh Computer Association to allow the user state to be restored to the same computer. You wouldn't need to do anything special.
The key is that you need to have your task sequence be capable of both capturing the user state at the beginning of the task sequence, then laying down the new OS, then doing the restore of the user state...all within the same task sequence.
If you utilize the MDT integration with SCCM and build an MDT integrated task sequence, this functionality is already built in. Although for simple testing purposes to show the concept, you can simply add to your existing task sequence.
Your task sequence would need to include the following major sections:
Capture user state (including the request/release state store tasks)
Lay down the OS (essentially the components of your regular bare metal imaging task sequence)
Restore user state (including the request/release state store tasks)
