Synchronizing without duplication of entries

I am using Bluetooth to synchronize a Treo 755p and a computer running Windows 7 and Palm Desktop 6.2.2. I have the Palm Bluetooth synchronization applications on my computer configured to "synchronize the files," and this configuration is still selected when I open the options again, but if I select "select as default," "OK," "Done," the "select as default" box is empty when I open the options again. I am not sure that any of this is relevant, or if it is a more basic problem common to all Palm synchronizations.
My problem is that when I synchronize, I want items that are already on each device to remain the same, and only new items to be added to each device (new on handheld added to desktop, and the opposite). I thought that was what synchronization was supposed to do. However, what is happening is that items are being added to each device even if the items are already present. Result: duplicated items. This is happening on my calendar.
On my tasks list, only a very small portion of my tasks list is transferring from my computer to my phone.
Any suggestions?

Two way sync is supposed to compare when the last modified of the time and date. Then sync what does not match. One way syncs replaces everything.
In your case it looks like the time and date was corrupted on the device side. The one way sync resolved that by replacing the data from the desktop to the device.
There is not much on the sync. I suggest that you look on these boards the manual may have some data for you to.

How do I update linked FM files without losing TOC entries or Map IDs?

Hi,
I'm using RH 10 with linked FM 11 files to create a WebHelp project and this is what happens when I do an update or force update of a linked file in the RH project:
After the update, the topic that contains updated content gets deleted from project TOC in RH.
After the update, any Map IDs assigned to the topic that contains the updated content are deleted.
Can someone please advise how to update a linked file without losing TOC entries or Map IDs?

HI Gabe,
You will want to link the TOC from FM in your conversion settings, and set the map id's via TopicAlias markers in FM.

If the images are in the location you want them be sure to select "Add" at the top of the import dialog box.

My approach would be, when you first generate the questions put them in a List. Then use java.util.Collections.shuffle(List) to randomize the List.

Provided you are running the latest version of Firefox on all of your devices and computers, you can sign in with a Firefox account . All you need is an email and password, the sync key is no longer required. Simply click on the menu button (3 bars) and click '''Sign in to Sync'''. If you don't already have one, you can create a Firefox account on that page. To add additional devices, log in with the account you just created.

I've looked into the LIBRARY of my IMac and delted all Caches of ICal.
But beware that you don't delete things, which are important, like your calenders.
Library - Calenders - Calender Sync Changes - I've only delted all things in this folder. (Also in the Trash)
Then I've restarted my Computer.
In the folder Calenders are also all Calenders saved, don't delete them, cause, what you've deleted is away!
Delete only the Things in the folder: Calender Sync Changes

    My Understanding is MRP can NOT run w/o PFE u2013 which is a mandatory prerequisiteu2026..BUTu2026???

1) in which t-code your running MRP, i suspect your running in MD02
2) MD02 & MD03 does not require Planning file entry
3) MRP gives results with out planning file entry by the above mentioned t-codes
4) where as if your going with MD01, then Planning file entry is required for materials

A similar situation related to Bank files was resolved with one of my clients on the following way...
The file from the Vendor can be an any order or format on the Excel. Till the time it is consistant it should work fine..
We created a Job in SQL Server to read this Excel file and to use the DocNum to get the DocEntry from SAP PO and output another excel file which is exactly the template format for PO Update.
This may even not be required in your case.....
You can get this done through an Excel Macro....which will connect to the database and using the DocNum get the DocEntry and update the Excel....
This is 100% achievable and a better solution for regular use

whereas if we do not do Goods Receipt and directly book invoice, following entry is getting generated:-

I have an itunes library on an external drive I want to use on a dool boot computer. How do I set this up without duplication of files

Ok, here goes with the explanation. I am running a Mac Mini mid 2010 with mt iTunes library on an external USB drive. I dual boot the computer into Windows 7. I want to be able to use the same iTunes library in both Operating Systems. I am trying to set this up on the Windows side without accidentily erasing, moving or duplicating any files. In the past when I have tried I have ended up with multiple files. I have an iCloud also but do not want to download any files again. How can I get iTunes on Windows to simply recognise my existing storage and create a library list from what is already there rather than duplicating files?
Update: As soon as I signed in with my iTunes account iCloud picked up my playlist and now lists all my music. Right clicking on the songs give me the choice to download the files, but the files already exist oin my external USB. I simply want iTunes on Windows 7 to point to the existing files.

Duplication of Entry when we use the same view in two different components.

Dear Experts,
We have created a z table in Activity Screen (component: ORDERADM_H)
and
later on we have reused the same table on Lead screen (component:
BT108H_LEA) as required by Business.
To reuse the table- I did the following steps
1. Used AET Web UI configuration tool ->Display Enhancemens
2. Selected the z table I want to Reuse
3. Under -> Reuse in Object tab, selected, Lead and checked the box
and finally generated/activated the table.
4. Went to Lead AET configuration screen, AET table appeared into
available assignment block and moved to it displayed assignment block
The problem is for Lead transaction, system is creating duplicate
records
when I have populated values on both Lead and as well as follow up
Activity transactions.
When I save both the Lead and follow up Activity and I log out and
login
back into Lead screen, I see two duplicate records as follows:-
OPT1, Option 1
OPT2, Option 2
We have not written any custom code for this requirement and we believe
there is a bug in SAP standard. Please refer to screenshots attached.
How can i avoid duplication issue with the component workbench.

Today I faced a simlar issue, and this SAP Note helped me fix it: 1966807 - Duplication of AET table records in change processing
In my case, cardinality of AET table was 1:1, and I was getting duplicate PARENT_ID every time when trying to create a subsequent service request for my activity.

How to change iCloud primary account without deleting ical entries on existing primary account?

Hi, I've got a bit confused and befuddled with my icloud account(s), as I had a MobileMe account before icloud and an itunes / Apple account. On my iphone and ipad, I've set up icloud on my itunes / Apple account details, which means I have a photo stream that works between these two devices. I also have something silly like 7 ical calendars on my iphone / ipad; two on an icloud account under the same log-in as my itunes, one on my gmail email account (which is the email account that is also my itunes / Apple account name) and four on a @me.com account I acquired from the old MobileMe days. Although not perfect, it's worked ok for a while, until I wanted to move photos from iphoto on my mac to my photo stream, and realised I had two photo stream accounts, and the one linked to my mac wouldn't enable photos to be seen on my iphone or ipad.
So I read a lot of stuff on here and decided I needed to change my primary icloud on my mac, ensuring it was my itunes account rather than my icloud account. I did this last night and all the diary entries in my mac ical disappeared. I then went back and deleted the itunes account details as my primary account and reinstalled the icloud details. On doing this, I realised I only have four calendars in my mac ical - and these are all on my @me.com account, none of the gmail calendars appear.
What I'd like to do, if possible, is migrate all my @me.com calendars and photo stream into one icloud account, using my itunes log-in details. This will, hopefully, mean I can cut down on the number of calendars on my iphone and ipads, ensure everything synchs across the mobile devices and my mac, and ensure I can use photo stream across all three. Can anyone suggest how I can do this please?

When you delete an iCloud account from a device, that has no effect on the iCloud accounts on other devices or the content in that iCloud account. You are just deleting that account from that particular device.
Her content will still be in iCloud.
