Synchronous Proxy to Soap  "MESSAGE" GENERAL /

Hi,
I try to use the SOAP HTTP (Axis)  Adapter in a PI 7.1 EHP 1 to consume a web service (soap version 1.2). Itu2019s a third-party web service. when I initiate the request  Iu2019m getting the following error.
<SAP:Category>XIAdapterFramework</SAP:Category>
  <SAP:Code area="MESSAGE">GENERAL</SAP:Code>
       <SAP:P1 />
       <SAP:P2 />
       <SAP:P3 />
       <SAP:P4 />
<SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: The SOAP action specified on the message, '', does not match the HTTP SOAP Action, ' https://webservices.123456.com/Services/Versions1/DocServ/SearchDoc'.</SAP:AdditionalText>
If I test the web service with soapUI, I use the WS-A parameters u201EActionu201C and u201ETou201C and add the WS-A header to the request and it works.
Excerpt from soapUI:
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:ver="https://webservices.123456.com/Services/Versions1/" xmlns:arr="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization/Arrays">
   <soap:Header xmlns:wsa="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing"><wsa:Action soap:mustUnderstand="1">https://webservices.123456.com/Services/Versions1/DocServ/SearchDoc</wsa:Action><wsa:To soap:mustUnderstand="1">https://webservices.123456.com/Services/Versions1/DocServ.svc</wsa:To></soap:Header>
u2026.
But without these header informations, I get the same error message like the PI-error.
My question is, what do I have to do in the PI to make it work?
Iu2019m setting the parameter SOAP Action in the PI with the same value as soapUI. The Target URL in the PI is https://webservices.123456.com/Services/Versions1/DocServ.svc.
Can you help me please?
Thank you.
Beatrice

It seems that you are trying to call an updatePerson operation through the WSDL and the call is failing at this stage.
Can you check if the request send by PI is correct in structure and that the WSDL is not facing any issue (check with the end system developer).

    Hi,
Seems the Receiver Webservice is not reachable. Did you try to test it using SOAP UI tool.
    1. Test a fresh message from local SOAP UI tool.
    2. Pick 3rd party WSDL file and Import in SOAP UI tool.
    3. Put some dummy data for mandatory fields
    4. Trigger it msg and ckh if you get successful / response msg.
    5. Check if firewall is open and that URL is not blocked.
    Hope it helps

  • Async proxy to soap messages to be processed like EOIO

    Hi,
I have a proxy to soap interface. What I want is to route these message these message through one queue in IE level so that, these would be sent to the receiver in order. Also doing this confirm that at the AE level, they would be delivered in order?
I looked at the tuning parameter for eo_outbound_parallel with the reveiver id, but it is routing all the messages to the receiver system in one queue. but I want this only for one interface.
    any ideas?
    thanks.
    Sri

This is what I have observed -
    Asynchronous interfaces.
Maintain Order at Runtime checked in the interface determination.
It is an enhanced interface determination producing at the most 3 messages.
When the mapping produced just one message -
In RWB when I checked for the messages processed under integration engine, I found Quality of Service - EO.
At the adapter engine level also the quality of service is - EO
The converstion ID in this case is blank
When the mapping produced more than one message -
In RWB when I checked for the messages processed under integration engine, I found Quality of Service - EO.
At the adapter engine level also the quality of service is - EOIO
The converstion ID in this case is non blank. (this is different at different times. But all of the message generated at the same mapping split have the same value)
So what I understood is, only when there are multiple messages getting generated from the split mapping, only then the AE takes care that only these messages (generated at that instance) would be delivered in order.
    Any other observations are welcome.

  • Error in Proxy to SOAP synchronous scenario

    Hi Gurus,
Hope you are doing well. I have a Proxy to SOAP synchronous interface interacting with an external system (system outside the firewall/landscape of my company).
When I am trying to post the request message from XI, I am getting the following error.
MP: Exception caught with cause com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.  For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs
In the WSDL provided by the external application, i.e. receiver WSDL, there is no attribute/field with the name 'IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults' and there is no fault string defined.
Where is this error being thrown up? Is it a network/firewall error that XI is unable to determine?
Please provide an answer as soon as possible.
    regards
    Debansu

    Hi,
i think it is the problem in the WSDL provider system, because it is throwing the Error with some string".NET",
do the below steps for investigating the issue
1)try pinging the URL provided in the WSDL from internet explorer.
2)if it is successfull, try to push one message from SOAP UI to by importing that WSDL, if you get any error then it is problem in the end system.
    Thank You,

Your exception message shows problem at the webservice side.
    Check the following:
    a) you need two mappings one for proxy req to soap request and other soap response to proxy response
    b) You need to create service interfaces both sender and receiver synchronous .
    c) communication channel  QOS is best effort for both sender and receiver
    d) I dont see problem in soap configuration. Bcuz you are able to ping and while getting response from the method getPerson it fails.
    f) See your SOAP response structure matches with WSDL provided.
    g) You can also test outside PI.. I meant testing via soap client tool like SOAPUI  for that web service. So that you know whether problem exists on the target system or not.
    Hope that helps.

  • [MESSAGE.GENERAL] How can take the actual error text for ABAP proxy error?

    Hi...

    Thanks guys, this was useful.
My scenario is for Asynchronous communication.
I guess Fault messages are used in case of Synchronous communication for handling application errors. So if there was something wrong at the JDBC end then I could use the fault messages.
    Have i got this right?
I also came across this piece on Acknowledgements. But is says that they can be used with the following Receivers:
    The following receivers support acknowledgments:
ABAP and Java proxies (XI 3.0 SP1 for the latter)
    Integration processes
IDocs (note that IDocs only return acknowledgments when they have been configured using the ALE audit)
Receiver adapters support system acknowledgments but not application acknowledgments
My Receiver is JDBC. So I guess I cannot use acknowledgements either.
Hence, I need to know what I can do to replicate the system errors eg. failed server etc...so that I can get catch these errors during sending.
I'll tell you abt what happened earlier.
My XI server was down. I executed the code for the sender ABAP Proxy and it did not catch the error. In SXMB_MONI in the R/3 system, I could see the messages queued up. When the XI server started, the messages were transferred to XI.
I need to handle such errors...ie. If  the server is down or message did not reach XI then my ABAP program that sends data via ABAP proxy needs to know that something went wrong.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashwin

  • Synchronous Scenario SOAP to Proxy and Proxy to SOAP

    Hi Sdn,
I am new to Synchronous Scenario.
Third party will send SOAP message requesting some information from SAP.
    SOAP - > PI -> Proxy SAP
they are expecting a response Proxy - > PI -> SOAP.
Could you please let me know how to design teh Synchronous Scenario in PI .
    Thanks

    > Create DT and respective MT for Request and Response.
    > Create Service Interfaces with Synchronous mode with respective MT's.
    > Create Two separate MM with respective Request and Response MT's.
    > Create Operation Mapping and call both Request and Response Mappings in it.
    > Complete the Configuration part considering Sender SOAP and Receiver ECC Services.
    > Configure CC with required parameters in Sender SOAP CC and Receiver XI CC.
    > Generate wsdl from Sender agreement and save it as a local file.
    > Use SOAP UI or any available Tool for testing purpose. Import the generated wsdl, provide input data and execute the test.
    > If you are comfortable with expected result, deliver wsdl to the Sender Party.
    > For Inbound Proxy, you can refer initial replies.

  • Proxy to soap synchronous

    Hi.
In my synch proxy to soap scenario, facing the error while testing web service from altova spy.
Err thrown after i send request is "<RCVR Deter> "MESSAGE_INCOMPLETE"
This is when i use WSDL generated from my ID.
When i use wsdl given from client it doesnt post at all, with message code (500).
Scanned sdn and asked everyone i cud, but cudnt hit any solution.
I noticed following things in WSDL given by client,
    1. URL within WSDL's adress tag, when pasted in browser doesnt opens WSDL or any web page rather  says "Welcome to axis.."
2,When added ?wsdl at the end of the url, the wsdl can be seen.(so using URL with "?wsdl" as my target URL in soap receiver ID, is approach right??)
    3.In WSDL from client has, <wsdl:operation name="XXX" parameterOrder="XXXXX">
what ideally shud be approach when soap is at receiver end.
    Also, Great confusions about These::
    1. URL in target url in soap receiver
2.URL of file location, while sending request. (shud b wsdl file saved in desktop, or url of wsdl )
3.soap end point and action (what if, when no action is there in wsdl) when changing soap parameters
4.In moni and also in altova getting err <Receiver determintaion> Message_incomplete
5.when to use wsdl generated from ID and when to use wsdl provided from client.
I am badly stuck in this scenario. Couldnt find any way out, at the same time its v v critical object.
wud be thankful if someone can help me in sorting out this..
    thanks

5.when to use wsdl generated from ID and when to use wsdl provided from client.
This should be your first question
Use wsdl generated by ID in case of soap sender scenarion and use wsdl from client in case your scenario is soap receiver.
This is when i use WSDL generated from my ID.
For the receiver soap scenario, you dont have to generate wsdl in ID. Use the wsdl given by receiver.
When added ?wsdl at the end of the url, the wsdl can be seen
If your scenarion could work after adding this, then there is nothing wrong in this approach.
    1. URL in target url in soap receiver
Use the URL provided by the receiver system. The same url is present in the wsdl file that receiver provide to you.
2.URL of file location, while sending request. (shud b wsdl file saved in desktop, or url of wsdl )
What do you mean by this? For a soap receiver channel, you only need the URL and use the wsdl provided by receiver.
3.soap end point and action (what if, when no action is there in wsdl) when changing soap parameters
Action is not compulsary. Just use the wsdl provided by client and check whether it contains <action> tag or not. If it has, then only provide the action.
4.In moni and also in altova getting err <Receiver determintaion> Message_incomplete
Your case is of soap receiver. You should not send messge from Altova to XI in this case.

  • Synchronous Proxy - SOAP Scenario (Error 500 in Response).

    Hi
I've built a few Synchronous Proxy -> SOAP Scenarios,
with 'Do Not Use SOAP Envelope' option.
For two of them, I'm facing a common error.
The error is: ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error).
When I paste the EXACTLY SAME payload picked up from XI, into the SOAP client, it works giving valid response.
Trying to figure out the issue.
    R/3 System:
    WAS 620 (Level 0041)
    XI System:
    PI 7.0 (Level 0007)
    SOAP System:
    BizRights (Approva) 3.0
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Message not received in Proxy to SOAP scenario

    Hi All
I have a proxy to SOAP scenario. It is not working from past few days.
When a message is sent, there is a checkered flag in SXMB_MONI.
In component monitoring of RWB, i see that the status is 'Success' and description is 'Message status set to DLVD'.
But, it is not reaching its destination. Can you tell me where else i have to check, to find out the problem?
    Thanks in Advance
    Chandra Sekhar

    hi, just do it
this kind of error is related with an authentification problem against WS. to check it do it:
1 take the inbound message from Moni, do a test mapping.
2 download XML Spy (altova) and create a new SOAP request.
put the WS URL and select the proper soap action.
3 paste the test mapping result XML and send the soap request.
    4 put user and pass.
5 if the interface is async, XML Spy will retrn you an empty response else if the scenario is sync it will return you the proper response.
    thanks
    Rodrigo

  • Synchrnous SOAP Message Scenario

    Hi,
    I have the following scenario: <b>Sys. A -> (SOAP Request) -> XI Java Proxy -> Sys. B</b>
Basically, System A above makes a SOAP Request to XI which in turn passes on the request to System B using a Java Proxy. Now, if the request is successful, then a value of "1" is returned to System A, else a value of "0" is return if the request is unsuccessful.
I stumbled accross this statement "<i>You will use a SYNCHRONOUS MESSAGE INTERFACE to send your REQUEST MESSAGE. SO, the RESPONSE will be sent back to this Message Interface itself</i>."
If its true, please help me understand what else I need to create - besides the Data Type, Message Type, and Message Interface of the Sender System - and how the Mapping is performed in order for the response message to reach the Sender System.
I am really grateful for your response.
    Thanks in advance
    Reuben.

    Hi,
Fault messages generally used for used for synchronous interfaces.when a proxy is generated from a message interface, an exception class is generated for a fault message type. You use this exception class to handle application errors at runtime.
d/load stefan's example where he uses fault message types:
    http://de.geocities.com/stefan_grube/JavaProxyExample.zip
Also a fault message type can only be used with ABAP/Java Proxies. You cannot use it in a file/IDOC scenario. Also a fault message you cannot use Asynchronous communication.
Response Mapping is also just like your normal message mapping only. Once when you select the interface as Synchronous then you will automatically have your response in interface mapping. So it is having 2 message mappings one for request and one for response and one interface mapping.
Go through this weblog for some information on the request and response messages:
