Syncing 2 ATV's with one system

I was wondering if it would be possible to connect 2 ATV's wirelessly to play the same content. My reason for that is that i am using a projector in the back and i have the audio receiver in the front. The 1st ATV would then be sending picture to the projector (it does fine now) , while the 2nd ATV would deliver sound to my sound bar behind the screen. I just hate cables and would love to figure this out. Please,,, any ideas are welcomed.

You can configure NFAS and save 1 B channel, but I would think that having a backup D channel would me more important than an extra B-channel.
Also NFAS is not supported on MGCP gateway. To configure NFAS the gateway will need to be H323.
Below is a link for more info on NFAS:

Gk Joe could please me understand "valid node checking"Learning where to look things up in the documentation is time well spent investing in your career. To that end, you should drop everything else you are doing and do the following:
Go to tahiti.oracle.com. Drill down to your product and version.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what is available here. Take special note of the "books" and "search" tabs. Under the "books" tab you will find the complete documentation library. Look under the 'search' tab for 'VALID_NODE'.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what kind of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.
Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what kind of information is available there.
Do the same with the SQL Reference Manual.
Do the same with the Utilities manual.
You don't have to read the above in depth. They are reference manuals. Just get familiar with what is there to be referenced. Ninety percent of the questions asked on this forum can be answered in less than 5 minutes by simply searching one of the above manuals.
Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
- Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual.
- Take a look in your alert log. One of the first things listed at startup is the initialization parms with non-default values. Read up on each one of them in the Reference Manual.
- Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files. Go to the Network Administrators manual and read up on everything you see in those files.
- When you have finished reading the Concepts Manual, do it again.

• Sync multiple video clips with one audio track

I'm an FCPX noob, trying to sync some clips. I recorded a 1.5 hour concert with a DSLR along with an audio track using a separate digital recorder. I have seven video clips, all in sequence (stopping and restarting the camera because of clip length limitations) and one long audio track in WAV format. The audio track is longer than the combined video clips, and there are some short dead spaces in between the video clips when I turned off/on. Now I'm trying to sync them but when I do, the video clips get stacked together with lots of overlap.
I made a test with 3 minute video and audio clips and had no problem. But when I try to do the whole event, I get a jumbled mess.
I could cut the audio into pieces and sync each piece with its corresponding video, but that seems to defeat the sync process, as well as being a lot of work. And, wouldn't I end up with lots of overlap anyway, since my audio clips would have to be longer than my video clips?
Am I missing an easier way to do this, or a way to arrange things better? I can't imagine the problems with several cameras and several audio tracks; my project is actually pretty simple, since it is very linear.
Any suggestions? Thanks--

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. Thank you for this advice, but I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly. Is there a way to set the angle on all of the clips at the same time?
Yes. Select all the clips you want in the browser, and then in the inspector fill in the camera angle with the value you want. This can be just about anything, it does not have to be a number. I prefer to name it something meaningful, like "wide" or something.

• Is it possible to sync two iPhone calendars with one iPad?

Both myself and my husband have recently got iPhones and I can get one to sync to my iPad but not both would be really useful to see both on the iPad so I don't need to keep asking him what he's up to and visa versa???

From an older post in the forum:
There's an app for that!
LookeeLoo (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lookee-loo/id385456868?mt=8) will allow you to view other people's Exchange calendars.
People are correct when they say that EAS (ActiveSync) does not support querying another person's calendar, so LookeeLoo uses EWS (Exchange Web Services) to query Exchange 2007/2010 calendar information.

• How to sync two iphone agendas with one mac ?

Dear all,
This is my first question here, and I looked it up, but so far I didn't find a satisfactory answer
I own a MacBook Pro and iPhone, that I keep for private stuff.
Recently my employer provided me with a new iPhone for work. Both therefore have different Apple ID's
I would like to sync both calendars to my MacBooks calendar, and possibly private iPhone, so I don't have to keep my work iPhone with me all the time.
How to proceed ?
Thanks

Absolutely, connect each phone, select what content you want on each phone, then hit the sync button. iTunes will keep everything straight, by device, upon subsequent syncs, including separate backups.

• Syncing 2 I phones with one MAC

I just purchased the new IPhone 3G....I want to sync it with my MAC. My wife also has an IPhone. How do we sync both phones to the same computer and keep our calendars/contact etc, separate?

You won't be able to keep Address Book contacts and calendar events separate with the Address Book and iCal under the same user/login account on your Mac.
She can have her own separate calendar or calendars in iCal and select only those calendars to be synced with her iPhone, but her calendars and your calendars will be available in iCal under the same user/login account.
She can create her own Address Book Group or Groups with the Address Book application and sync only those Groups, but her contact information and your contact information will be in the Address Book under the same user/login account. A contact cannot be placed in an Address Book Group unless the contact is in the primary Address Book "All" Group.
She can transfer select iPhone albums to be transferred to her iPhone, and she can create her own iTunes Playlist or Playlists to be transferred to her iPhone.
If you want to keep contact information and calendar events completely separate, you need to create a user/login account for your wife on your Mac. This will give your wife her own Home folder directory to store her data only. Each user/login account includes a shared folder where files that need to be shared between multiple login accounts can be placed.
She can sync her contact information and calendar events only with the Address Book and iCal under her login account. She can access her email account or accounts only with the Mail.app under her login account.
She can sync iTunes content and transfer photos from iPhoto only under the existing login account of with your login account, and contact information, calendar events, and bookmarks only under her login account.
You can enable Fast User Switching to make the process of switching between multiple user/login accounts a fast and easy process.

• How do I sync a single iPhone with music on one PC and apps on a different one?

I have an iPhone 4. I currently sync with only one Windows PC; my work PC, where I keep my apps, calendar, email, etc (my work PC does not have anything BUT apps, calendar, email, notes). I want to add all of my music to the same iPhone, though, and it is stored on my home PC (the home PC does not have anything BUT music on it). Therefore, I want to sync the same phone with one PC for apps, etc., and a different PC for music.
Any idea how I can do this?

You may be able to do it this way.
On you WORK PC.
Connect your Device to Computer. Select your iPhone under "Devices" on iTunes's left Pane.
On the right pane, under the Summary tab, scroll down to make sure the box "Manually manage music and video" is checked.
Then click the APPLY button on the lower right Window. You are done.
So anytime you connect your iPhone to your WORK PC, your iphone will be synced but without the music from work PC.
On your Home PC, before connecting your device, go to iTunes menu EDIT/PREFERENCES/DEVICES tab and make sure "Prevent iPod, iPhone, iPad from syncing automatically" box is checked, then OK.
Next connect your device, and same way on the right Pane, under the Summary tab, scroll down to make sure the box "Manually manage music and video" is checked.
Then click the APPLY button on the lower right Window.
Now you are in manual mode, to add songs to iPhone, just highlight the songs in your iTunes music library and drag them over to your iphone under "Devices" on the left Pane.

• Multiple IOS devices with one apple id and different PCs to synch

I have 2 macs, 1 Apple TV, 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, 3 iPods and 1 windows pc.
I would like to:
1) sync each of them with one of the Macs using the same apple Id;
2) connect with FaceTime with each of them separately (at least the iPads and iPhones);
3) synch one phone with the Mac for music and my work PC for apps.
What should I do using my unique apple I'd?
Txs,
Roberto

When you say "sync", are you talking about physically having songs, movies, etc on your computers and devices? Or simply want to access those files on those computers and devices? *Syncing is different from Home Sharing but you are in the Home Sharing discussion forum. That is why I am asking.
If they are all in the same network and just want to access them or listen/watch them, all you have to do is turn on Home Sharing for all of your machines and devices with the same account.
For Mac/PC desktops, you can turn on Home Sharing in iTunes 11. Go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing. Do this for all machines. After doing that, you go to the media selector button at the top left to see your Home Shares. Or you can enable the sidebar by going to View > Show Sidebar. From there, just connect to your other computers and you will able to listen or watch to your content.
For your devices, turn on Home Sharing in Settings. Go to Settings > Music or Video > Home Sharing and enter the same Apple ID and password. You can listen to songs in Music and watch videos in Video.app.
For your Apple TV, if it is a 2nd gen ATV or later then you can turn on Home Sharing under Computers in the main screen. For the 1st gen ATV, you can either share or pair with iTunes.
If you want to physically have files (this is syncing), then you can sync your devices to the machine you want to sync with.
With respect to FaceTime, if you want to use FaceTime on your phone with someone but separately on your iPad then you can associate your phone number to FT on your phone and on your iPad, you can use your Apple ID for FaceTime. That way, if people want to FT on your phone, they should use the phone number to FT. For iPad, people should enter your Apple ID when doing FT.

" how can I sync my iphone to my mac book without losing all the music and pictures on it?"
You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.

• Sync iPhone on more than one mac and deleting app

Hello everyone,i have two mac, a laptop and a desktop that are in two different places and not connected to the same network, I would like my Iphone it synced automatically with the itunes of both and that my content was present equally in all 3 equipment: music and app. How can I do?
A second problem concerns the app: when I delete an app from the iphone is not deleted directly from the itunes mac and I must go among all the app hope to remember which one it is and delete it manually, is there a way to do that once deleted from iphone is also automatically delete on the mac itunes?
Thanks in advance

You can't. By design, iPhone syncs or manually manages with one computer at a time. Each time you change computers, all iTunes content gets erased from your phone.

Sorry, no way to do that either.

• Syncing iphone using more than one computer

Does anyone know how to get iphone to sync to more than one computer? I activated my wife's iphone from my computer (after having logged into her itunes account) but when I try to sync from her computer (logged into her account) nothing happens.

You can, but you can only sync one type of information with each computer. Here are the instructions I followed to sync my two computers. Hope they help.
How to Sync with Two Computers
You can sync your iPhone with only ONE media library. However, it is possible to sync the media library with one computer (like your home computer), and the contacts/calendar information with another computer (like your work computer). I have this working on two PCs with Windows XP. I have read posts of folks doing it with two Macs, and with one Mac and one PC.
This is not sanctioned by Apple, so I dont know if these steps are "correct". I only know that these are the steps I followed and worked for me. Your mileage may vary.
1. Select "Disable automatic syncing for all iPhones" under Edit / Preferences / iPhone in the iTunes menu.
2. Uncheck "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" in the Summary tab of iTunes.
3. Check "Only sync checked items" in the same tab.
4. On the computer you want to sync contacts and calendar, check the corresponding boxes in the Info tab. UNCHECK everything else in the MUSIC, PHOTOS, PODCASTS and VIDEO tabs.
5. Sync your iPhone with this computer FIRST.
6. On your other computer, follow the same steps above (1, 2 and 3). Then, UNCHECK everything in the INFO tab, and check everything else on the other tabs.
7. When you sync with this second computer, you may get a message that the iPhone has already been synced with another computer, and that the media library will be deleted. Fine. There should be NO media library on the iPhone since you unchecked all the media items on the first computer, right?
8. Sync. Then you can sync on both computers and each will sync what is checked and not overwrite the rest.

my iphone is synced and backed up with another computer which is now broken...i have synced it with my new computer but it hasnt transfered anything over to itunes and when i try to add anything to my iphone it says all data will be erased and replaced with the current itunes? i dont want to lose all my apps and music.... i dont know how to go around this problem? i want to back it all up and sync it properly to my new computer so that is now my main computer , so i can add ring tones and music etc with out it erasing everything ive got. any answers would be great and muchly appreciated. thanks, im not sure what operating system my iphone has either.....

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
It sounds like you have failed to do this, which is not good at all.
You will have to transfer your itunes purchases from your iphone. Authorize your computer for your itunes account
About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization
Open itunes, plug in iphone, do NOT sync, click File>Transfer Purchases
When you do sync you will lose your pics ( photo library - synced from your old computer), your itunes content ( music, apps, videos, etc) , your contacts and your calendars. So do NOT sync yet. This is why a backup copy is so important.
Enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer.
When you first sync, you should get the option to merger the data. Choose it.
If you want your pics, then you will need to e-mail them to yourself before you sync. They will not be of the original quality as they are reduced when synced to iphone.
When all is as goos as it can be, then backup your computer, and always maintain the backup.
