Syncing 2 IPhones to one Computer

How do i keep my daughter's IPhone from syncing all of my wife's IPhone Contacts, Ringtones, Music, Apps? When i plug in my daughters IPhone it starts adding all my wife's things to her phone.

Disable automatic syncing for the iPhone, which is done under the Summary tab for the iPhone sync preferences, or iTunes includes a global preference setting to not automatically sync when an iPod or iPhone is connected.
You can sync multiple iPods and/or iPhone with the same iTunes library and computer - there is no device limit, and each device can have its own sync preferences.
Under the Music tab for your daughter's iPhone sync preferences, choose selected playlists. Your daughter can create an iTunes playlist with iTunes for the music she wants transferred to her iPhone. Select this playlist in the window below. If she wants to add additional music, add the music to this playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. To remove music from her iPhone, remove the music from the iTunes playlist followed by a sync.
Under the Applications tab for your daughter's iPhone sync preferences, choose selected applications followed by selecting the applications in the window below that she wants installed on her iPhone followed by a sync. To remove an application from her iPhone, deselect the application in the window below followed by a sync.
The same under the Ringtones tab, the Podcasts tab, the Video tab, and the Photos tab for your daughter's iPhone sync preferences. If she doesn't want to sync contacts and calendar events, don't select this under the Info tab for her iPhone sync preferences.

  • Computer crashed how to sync TWO iphones on one computer?

Is there any way to sync two iphones on one computer?

The easiest least complicated way to keep your info and her info seperate and not worry about things is to take advantage of user profiles on your computer (in XP)...so each of you log into XP with your own accounts, thus iTunes (and any other software like mail, etc) all have your own settings.
Otherwise, you will have to watch which account is logged into iTunes Store (click store and see what name is up top right in case you both have different accounts)...and make sure you are logged in with the right account before syncing. iTunes does know the difference between your phones so each can setup different settings of what to sync to, but your library on your computer will be mixed unless you do what I said first, use different profiles (user logins) for XP.

  • Why can I only sync my iPhone on one computer???

I was just wondering why I can only sync music onto my iPhone from one computer?? and not multiple like you can with the iPods?? I'm getting really frustrated because i have music on my home computer and 2 other laptops!

I am unsure on how I interpret the rule wrong, but here is a copy of the actual rule which I made a link to in my previous post.
Found under, http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/au/terms.html#SERVICE, 10. Purchase or Rental of iTunes Content, Usage Rule (iii).
"(iii) Your license of Products as authorised hereunder permits you to use the Products on five iTunes-authorised devices at any time, except in the case of Movie Rentals, as described below."
Also under, http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/au/terms.html#APPS, 9. USE OF PRODUCTS AND THE SERVICE, Usage rule (iii).
"(iii) You shall be able to store Products on five iTunes-authorized devices at any time."
When I read this, I understand it that the word Products refers to content on iTunes. But it could possibly interpreted differently.

  • Syncing two iphones with one computer

A co-worker and I share a secretary. We'd like to be able to sync our individual calendars (in Outlook '03) on our secretary's PC.
    Is this possible?

    UPDATE:
Well I thought I figured it out when I realized iTunes gives you the option of syncing only selected calendars. My plan was to check only my calendar to sync with my phone and Gary's calendar to syn with his phone.
Unfortunately, the option to sync only selected calendars is grayed out in iTunes. I can only check the "sync all calendars" box.
Surely others have figured out how to sync two phones with one computer and only have the data you specify synced to the specific phone.
Do I have to create another Windows user account where only Gary's calendar is maintained and then switch back and forth between user accounts whenever syncing?
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Can you sync 2 iPhones on one computer?

I'm going to be getting my wife an iPhone for our anniversary, but all of our music is on this laptop, so is there a way to sync both phones to this computer and have separate music end up on our phones? How does this work with apps I've purchased and will it keep my calendar with my appointments so she can have her own calendar? Crap, that leads to another question: will my wife need her own iTunes account to enter into the phone or can she use mine because it's already hooked up to our protected credit card?
I suppose I can copy all of the music onto the desktop for access and have her sync to that iTunes, but that computer is dreadfully wonky since it's unfortunately a PC used for Internet Explorer for site checking with my designs and it has my PC Adobe CS software. That would keep calendars separate, but create a music headache for music purchased on one phone to be added to iTunes.
Thanks for checking out the noob questions.

You can sync as many ipods/iphones as you like to one computer/itunes library.
There are many way to set it up.

  • Syncing Multiple iPhones to one computer question

    Hello,
I am an iPhone owner, and I have always used my PC to sync the phone with iTunes. A friend of mine also owns an iPhone, however he doesn't have access to a computer with iTunes and was hoping to use mine. He's made several purchases between apps and music with the phone, and we want to sync some of his music from the iTunes library on my PC without causing him to lose the stuff already stored on his device. Is it possible to do this? When we tried before it looked like it was going to delete his purchases from the phone since they were not purchased with my account, which is the one I sign in to in my iTunes.
    Thanks in advance.

Itunes content ( apps/music/pics/etc) can be synced with only one computer.
If you sync to a different one, it will erase the itunes content from the iphone and replace with content from the new computer.

  • Issue syncing multiple iPhones on one computer.

    Hello all,
I don't get any errors or anything like that.
My issue is that iTunes keeps putting the wrong contact and email information on the wrong phone. Well, it keeps trying to put ALL contacts and email accounts on both phones.
I have one phone set up to only sync with Outlook Express and the Windows Address Book. That phone also is only set to sync the one and only email account in Outlook Express.
The other phone is set to sync with Outlook and the Outlook Calendar and contacts. It is also set to only sync with the two email accounts for Outlook.
I have verified that the settings show correctly for both phones in iTunes, yet when I sync a phone it puts all contacts and all email accounts onto that phone. This is rather annoying as I don't want or need the info from my wife's phone and she doesn't want or need the info from mine...lol.
The phones are 3 days old now, and I installed the latest version of iTunes the day I bought the phones. All available updates were applied to both phones before any information was set up in iTunes as far as syncing goes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it talks about iPods but the same applies to iPhones. most users employ *method two*.

  • Syncing two iphones on one computer

My wife does not want my contact list and my music copied to her phone whenever she plugs her phone into our computer. Is there an easy way to sync each phone separately?

When syncing multiple iPods or iOS devices with the same iTunes library, each device has its own sync preferences with iTunes.
I sync a personal iPhone 5S, business iPhone 5, and personal iPad with iTunes on the same computer. Some of the three have the same content, but my sync settings for each is different.
If she does not want to sync her contacts with the same supported address book app on the computer if this is being done with iTunes, she deselects Sync Contacts under the Info tab for her iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
Under the Music tab for her iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, she selects the music she wants synced followed by a sync.
