Syncing albums to iPhone

I have been syncing photos on my iPhone using Aperture as the source. It has been working just fine. This weekend, for no reason that I can think of, I can no longer do that. If I don't sync photos at all, everthing is fine. If I sync photos from iPhoto, everything is fine. It is only when I sync photos from Aperture that I get the following error:
"The iPhone "3G iPhone" cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50)."
Any ideas?

Yes, if you want you can change to Manually Manage music. But, you could also make a big playlist with all the albums you want to sync, just to get them on the phone. On the iPhone in the iPod app, tap the Albums button at the bottom to view by album (if that button is not there, tap more, then edit and you can put it there).

Am on an iPhone 5 running iOS7.
Till now I have selected the albums I want shared in iTunes, and they have appeared on my phone in the albums list.
The other night I was out to dinner with a friend and clicked on albums to show her something - and realised all my albums were gone.
Today I syncd the phone and itunes and noticed during back up it was definitely resyncing the selected albums.
BUT - when I go into the phone and click on Albums - they are not there. If I click on Photos then Collections - they do appear - but where on earth have the albums gone ?
Bit confused and not sure how to fix it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Iphone 4. just synced with laptop and to my horror now have every photo from laptop in albums on my phone which i cannot remove. Have gone back into sync mode and it wont let me access the albums on phone to delete. Such ridiculous situation not to be able to delete by choice on phone. Sync only repeats the process. Not a happy iphone user. Can anyone help and suggest a simple way to remove the albums. Also what to do when syncing to avoid happening again. When syncing, I dont seem to be able to access my iphone or chose what sync processes i want as the sync only happens as one process including the photos. Is this a fault?? Cannot believe Apple would make this such a difficult process. Help appreciated.

I found the answer in another discussion group, so I have just erased everything through settings on my new iphone and in Backups on itunes, I have clicked on restore back up. So it appears to be working.

Syncing iPhoto and iPhone Albums

When I create a photo album in iPhoto, it shows up in my iPhone after I sync, but when I create an album with Photos on my iPhone, it does not show up in iPhoto after I sync. Is this how it's supposed to work?

If you don't want your photo albums from iPhoto to sync to your iPhone you need to turn off the photo sync option for your iPhone in iTunes.
Open iTunes with iPhone connected usb -> click on iPhone (at left column) -> click on photo tabs (main screen far right) -> deselect "sync photos from"
Now, if you want certain photos to show your friends you can create a folder and then select it from the above process.

Have you downloaded the Album successfully into your iTunes library?
If so, there is no new magic trick and the Songs should sync - it is often worthwhile restarting computer and phone from power off state - signing out and back into iTunes Store - this tends to cure most small glitches.

Syncing album that's in iTunes and on Pad to iPhone

I have one album I cannot sync to my iPhone. It shows as purchased in iTunes and on iPad but not on iPhone. I have the latest vs of iTune and iPhone and know how to sync but this one album won't. I tried to add album and individual songs and get msg I cannot add to iPhone

As long as you both share an iTunes account you cannot delete the album. It is in your account and will show as available to download. The cloud symbol simply is showing that the album is in your iTunes account and is available for you to download. The album itself isn't on your phone though.

I didn't have iPhoto so I had to purchase it from the App store but that didn't help. I think the problem is because my devices still think they are synced to the previous version of my mac, but I don't know how to get them to sync with the new setup.

Sync Albums vs events with iPhone

I just upgraded to iLife 08 and just sync'd my iPhone for the first time. It had been previously set up to sync only selected albums since my old version of iPhoto organized pics by albums. Now that it organizes by events, how do I sync photos in events vs. albums? When the phone is connected to iTunes, the events dont even show up as an option in the photo tab. All the albums are there. Do I need to continue to use albums from my events in order to get those photos to the phone? Is there no way to sync with events instead?

There is no way to sync Events.
You can make an Album of an Event is a second: just drag it to the Album heading in the Source Pane. Albums take up no disk space whatever.

None of my iPhoto Albums appear in iTunes for syncing with my iPhone

I have dozens of Albums in iPhoto. When I open iTunes to sync with my iPhone, NONE of my iPhoto albums (none of my Aperture albums, for that matter) are present. I cannot figure out why not, nor do I see any discussions of this problem. HELP!!!!

Is there a particular reason you are using an alias to repoint the iPhoto Library, instead of telling iPhoto to look directly to the library on the other drive?
If not, you can tell iPhoto to look at the iPhoto Library on the other drive directly by holding down the option key when you launch iPhoto.
The iPhone does require iPhoto 4.0.3 to sync photos from iPhoto to the iPhone.

Sync albums from two iphoto libraries to iphone

I have two iphoto libraries set up on my computer. One for family photos, one for my professional work. I switch between them by holding the alt key when I launch iphoto.
When I go into itunes to select the the albums from iphoto that I want to sync to my iphone, only the default library shows up with selectable albums, i.e. the family library.
How can I get albums from two different iphoto libraries onto my iphone?

The iPhone will not sync from two different iPhoto libraries, but you can create a folder on your computer and just drag all of the pictures you want on the iPhone into that folder. Then in the Photos tab in iTunes, sync that folder to the iPhone. Anytime you want to add/remove pictures from the iPhone, you can just add/remove them from the folder without changing your iPhoto libraries.

My music synced to my iPhone but it won't play! There is a box on the right of the song title that almost looks like a stop symbol. What can I do to fix this?

This has never happened to me before and I have had my iPhone for a couple years now. Just today I bought a couple albums on my mac through iTunes and they downloaded just fine. I have iCloud so they were automatically transferred to my phone. When I go to listen to the songs I found that they won't play. There is a gray box on the far right next to the song title. It won't play and after a little while it just skips to the next song. The weird thing is some songs did download all the way and work just fine. Please help!!!!

I have heard of some people having a similar problem, which was resolved by a simple restart of their iPhone. If that doesn't help you, you may want to consider de-authorizingyour computer in iTunes, then re-authorizing it and performing a sync to your iPhone again.
