Show me one article or link of BlackBerry announcing anything of the sort? Just one official statement. I'll help you out -- there is not one. Everything so far has been rumor. Will they? Probably, but again the blogs or the media has you -- an obviously well-educated reasonable person -- believing that BlackBerry has announced they will be producing a some android software hybrid BlackBerry.legacymusic wrote:

QNX is currently in 50 million vehicles already and that's before the partnership with Ford. That's hardly going a hidden revenue stream. Chen is committed to hardware, he has said as much as recently as last week. If they were killing hardware (which has been a rumor for five years) they are doing a horrible job of killing it... devices just keep getting released.legacymusic wrote:=

Personally, I think BlackBerry knows that, and dipped so far already they only have limited resources to fix the issue, which has become more of an issue of 'perception' (see your misconceptions and incorrect facts above) and that can't really be fixed with any amount of money. I've stuck with BlackBerry... plan to stay around longer. They are very much still meeting my needs, running a small business, etc. Example: I just returned from several days out of the country on vacation. My wife asked, "are you bringing your laptop?". I gave her questions a sincere moment's thought... "Nope, nothing on the laptop that I can't do on my Z30!". That's not a knee-jerk fanboi reaction comment.There just nothing I need that I can't already do on my BlackBerry.
