Syncing Calendar Express with Pocket PC

I am trying to use Java System Communications Sync to synchronise with a Pocket PC but am coming across problems due to an outdated XTNDConnectPC.CAB file. I am coming across the error message:
"This program uses a file that is no longer supported. Please obtain an updated version of the program"
Any idea where I can source the updated version or how I can fix this problem?

Hi,
The next version of the Comm Sync software (2006Q4) is currently going through beta - so it won't be readily available for a few months yet. You may want to log a support request and see if they can supply a copy to see if this resolves the problem.

Shane.

  • Can no longer sync calendar events with Yahoo! Calendar

I have an ipod Touch 4G.  It used to be able to sync calendar items back to Yahoo! Calendar so I didn't have to enter them manually once I had entered them on the Touch.
Now I learn that in iO5 I can no longer do this with Yahoo! Calendar.  I thought that Apple prided itself on being user friendly.  I am sorry, but I have to consider this change "user hostile."
One reason I bought the iPod Touch was that it would sync to my Yahoo! Calendar.  Come on, guys!  Not fair!

I have the same problem with my ipod nano. I downloaded tunes from my old pc. ITunes does not recognise it from my new pc and I cannot sync.

  • IPod  won't sync calendar/contacts with outlook???

My iPhone syncs it's calendar with Outlook fine on two (windows) computers.
*But my iPod classic won't do either???*
When i plug in the classic and look at the contacts tab, it only offer "Windows Address Book" for contacts, and down in the calendar section it states that Outlook must be installed to sync calendars?
Obviously outlook is installed and working because the iPhone syncs calendars with both computers...
    what gives?
thanks in advance for your help!

I have the same problem since I updated to iTunes 10.2 Sue (I think). For me this was somewhere in January.
I wasn't sure iTunes was the issue, until I read your post. I tested syncing a note, and that works fine.
My 2nd generation Ipod Touch runs on IOS 4.2.1. It won't upgrade to 4.3.
Possibly the synchonisation between iTunes 10.2 and IOS 4.2.1 doesn't work correctly.
Has somebody else solved this isue? I use both calendars (on iPod Touch and on PC) for work and private matters.
Otherwise I have to uninstall iTunes 10.2 and downgrade to 10.2.

  • IPhone does not sync Calendar events with iCloud

I have a Calendar which is synced with my iPhone, iCloud and MacBook Air.  Calendar events are synced between iCloud and the MacBook, but not between iCloud and iPhone.  I tried Reset, but it still does not synce between iCloud and iPhone.

Try force-closing the calendar app on your phone: double-tap the home button, locate Calendar in the list, swipe up on the image above the app icon to close it, tap the home button again.  Now reset the phone by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo and release.  Test your calendar again.  Any change?

  • TS4118 how to sync calendar/contacts with imac, ipad, & iphone

I am having issues syncing with all of my products and would love some assistance, please.
I have the new ipad and the iphone 5.  I also have an imac running Mac OS X (version 10.6.8).  I can sync the ipad and iphone 5 with icloud but I end up with a lot of duplicates.  Nothing seems to be syncing with the imac.
I used to be able to keep my imac as the primary item that I would make all of the changes on, plug my ipad into the computer and when it would sync (over itunes), it would make the calendar/contacts adjustments on to the ipad, but since getting the iphone, that just isn't happening any more.  Is it because of icloud?  Now, there is nothing on my imac calendar - the iphone seems to be the primary with both the ipad & iphone having a ton of duplicates (both in the calendar and the contacts)!
Thanks sooo much for any assistance you can provide!

While waiting for a reply, you can read the documentation that was in the box your iPad came in.  It's a book about a Spanish guy called Manual.
The answer is iTunes.  Download it.  Install it.  Read the instructions.  Use it.

  • Ovi Suite is unable to sync calendar tasks with co...

    Hey there,
I found an very bad bug when syncing my N95 and the ovi suite 2.0.
Ovi Suite always crashes when syncing the calendar and I detected that my tasks like "Greet the new guy, over there" were cutted off on the first comma and re-added. So after 5 tries of syncing, I had one complete task and 5 tasks saying "Greet the new guy", without the rest. It was some work to delete these and now Im using the old sync-app from Nokia PC Suite again, which works fine. I hope this will be fixed, because this is the main reason which keeps me away from ovi suite.

PS: I'm syncing with Vista Calendar

    Hi,
Have you checked if your phone has got latest firmware? [My Nokia N95 has got 35.0.002    It may vary depending on your region/operator]  If your phone has got new firmware, update new firmware[Please do take backup of your phone contents]
    /discussions/board/message?board.id=topfaq&thread.id=132
Then Nokia OVI Suite too has got latest firmware 2.0.2.42, follow above instrucation from satari too,
then try to check your issue.  Hope this helps

  • Is it possible to sync calendar/contacts with Treo 755 (sprint) and Entourage 2008 on Mac OS 10.5.4?

I've read different solutions (that haven't worked as of yet) as well as it's impossible. Any one else trying to do this? and/or should i just switch to iPhone and iCal?
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Verizon)

This begs the question of why you are using entourage at all. For starters, there are precisely 69 viruses that can affect mac osx (as opposed to more than 71,000 for windows), and guess what? All of them infect the computer through Microsoft office!

  • Question about syncing calendar

I want to get my calendar from my iPhone to my iPad. I know that I have to sync it to iTunes first though. The problem is that I don't update the calendar in iCal on my Mac. I just keep the calendar on my iPhone but now I want it on my calendar too. Does syncing go both ways? In order words, will it sync my iPhone calendar to iCal without wiping out the calendar on my iPhone? If so, then I can sync iCal to my iPad. Is that the way it will work? Thanks. Lisa

Syncing calendars/calendar events with a supported application on your computer is a bi-directional or true sync process.
In order to sync your iPhone's calendar and calendar events with your iPad, you need to sync both direct with iCal via the iTunes sync process unless you have a MobileMe account.
If iCal on your Mac does not include any data - no calendar events, before the first sync with your iPhone enter one calendar event in iCal on your Mac. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync, which you want to select. If iCal currently includes any calendar events, you will be provided a merge prompt, which you want to select. If iCal on your Mac includes some old calendar events and you don't want some of the current old calendar events in iCal available on your iPhone, delete the calendar events you no longer need or want from iCal before the first sync.
Follow this by syncing calendar events with your iPad. If your iPad includes any calendar events that were manually entered, you will be provided a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.
The same applies to syncing contacts.

  • PC Companion won't sync Calendar

Trying to sync my calendar manually for the first time with my phone.  I'm running Windows 7 with Outlook 2007.  PC Companion 2.10.226.
I started the Calendar app, Calendar Sync, Sync calendar directly with my phone/tablet via USB Cable, when I get to the screen that says "select which program on your computer you want to synchronize with" it says "No application available" for Calendar.
**bleep**?  I checked the requirements and Windows 7 with Outlook 2007 are supported.

What unit are you trying sync with? Could you also check if you experience the same behaviour if you choose to sync contacts instead? You don't need to sync the contacts, just open contact sync instead and check if you get the same message for this function when you are going to select which program you want to sync with.

  • Syncing Calendar: wrong calendars appear in iTunes

Since upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mountain lion on my Powerbook (PB), I cannot sync Calendar (ICal)  with my IPod and IPad with Itunes.
It is as if my calendar identity is not recognized anymore in ITunes. Or a fantom identity has a hidden Calendar (that I cannot retrieve) on my PB.
    Problem:
I own 10 personnal calendars in Calendar: General, Assistance, Meunier travaux, Listes(undated)... etc
Those that show up in Itunes INFO when plugging in my IPad or IPod have completely different names: Personnel; Travail; Rappels (those are the default calendars of the french version of Calendar). They can be synced to my IPod and IPad. They countain no events.
    What I did or checked:
    -ICloud is inactive
-I resetted sync services a few times (by using ISync and by using the terminal)
-When I enter a new event on the IPad for example, syncing through ITunes seems to accomplish something on the PB. However, nothing changes on my PB calendars
-I created a Test User: he has no problems of syncing through ITunes.
Is there a way to have my "real" Calendars show up in Itunes ?
    Thanks.
PS I know I could use ICloud - but I do not wish to use ICloud for security reasons.

    My issue is solved !!!
After hours of testing with the Test User, trying different things read on the forum; following this procedure without success:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=hvkb&id=TS2481&agent=helpviewer
The only thing that changed is that some ofmy calendars finally appeared on my IPad - but the events where from an older Calendar (previous to the installation of ML). And when I changed the events on the IPad, the sync process seemed to take place in Itunes but nothing new was installed on my PB Calendar. The cache file or any files did not change in the Library/Calendar folder
However, 3 preferences files where updated on the PB
Seing that  then decided to put to the trash these 3 preferences files:
    com.apple.ical.plist
    com.apple.calendarAgent.plist
    com.apple.syncserver.plist
    And VOILA !
Sync by ITunes works like before ! (I was even able to sync to an android phone !!!)
    Ilenacan
while writing this message, I experienced a Mac crash - blue screen. Not any application running !
    Frightening  !!!!
I guess ML is not ready yet.

  • Iphone 5 not syncing calendars

For last couple of weeks I've noticed that my iPhone 5 (running iOS 8.1) has stopped syncing calendar entries with my macbook running Mountain Lion 10.8.5.

  • Options for Syncing Calendar with Windows without Outlook

How can I synchronise my iPhone calendar with my calendar on Windows Vista. I have Windows Mail, and understand that iTunes does not support synchronisation with Windows Mail. What are my options, other than buying Outlook? Windows Live Mail and/or Windows 7? Via Gmail?
    Thx, A

Windows Mail is an email client only, which was a name change for Outlook Express with Vista. Windows Mail does not include a calendar.
The iPhone supports syncing contacts and calendar events with Outlook 2003 or 2007, or with Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
If you are able to sync Gmail calendar events with the calendar application included with Windows, you can access a Gmail account with the iPhone's Mail client as an Exchange account via ActiveSync, which provides for over the air syncing for Gmail online contacts and calendar events.

  • Syncing Calendar with VISTA

My version of VISTA does not have outlook. I only have windows calendar. Is it possible to snyc the appointments I put into the iphone with my computer if I don't have Outlook?
    Thanks

Not possible at this time. Windows Mail/Calendar is really just a renamed Outlook Express. The iPhone WILL sync the contacts with Windows Contacts, but will NOT sync the calendar with WIndows Calendar. In order to sync a calendar, you need to upgrade to the full version of Outlook 2003 or 2007.

  • Ask your question. How to sync ical 3 with icloud calendar

How to sync ical 3 with icloud calendar?

And the additional problem is that once you give in and go iCloud, no rep will tell you there are iCloud limits on iCal's size, so that if you're calendar is say 10 years old, with 10 events per day, and there's a 25K event limit, it won't work, even if you buy all the storage in the world. Which means that's syncing is OVER.
So far I've tried three calendar alts: Fantastical (rated one of the top iCal alts); Pocket Informant (allegedly capable of superpowers); and Calendars. Not a single one is able to do the one simple task of
    1) integrating an ical ics file,
    2) placing a calendar program on the desktop and the iPhone
    3) keeping them both in sync.
And Google's cloud has even more restrictions than iCloud, and for frack's sake why can't I keep a calendar off the net?
This is really getting to annoy me. Chelsea, a tech support supervisor, offered that if I pay $99/year I can become a developer and get the next beta iTunes which will allegedly offer local syncing. Great.
