Syncing calendar from MAC to phone without adding phone to MAC

i want to sync my tasks and calendar events on my iCal to my phone but don't want my phone calendar stuff added to my MAC... otherwise I have to do mass deletes for many calendar series on my MAC
how do we do this?

Cause is the removal of the "sync services" framework in the new OS X Mavericks.

Effects:
Sync services was used by iTunes to synchronize calendars, contacts, (and in the far past notes and reminders), between iOS devices and Macs, if these were not set to sync via iCloud. This sync happened during the iTunes sync over USB or local Wifi. With the removal of sync services, iTunes can no longer do this and users have to fall back to iCloud or other cloud services.
Problems:
Opinions voiced mention the following:
Don't want that private information in the Cloud for for fear of hacks and abuse
Loss of control over safety of data, server errors happen (see Amazon), and Apple will hardly pay damages. If my Mac dies and I didn't back up correctly, that is my responsibility.
Fear of government intrusions
iPhone 3G, original iPad and iPod touch 2G do not support iCloud and are now disconnected regarding contacts and calendar
Legal issues concerning EU customers when storing business/client/patient/student data on non-EU servers.
On the go with Laptop and iOS, only the latter may have internet access and they can't sync.
Data consumption of iCloud (it once burned through my entire 300MB plan in two weeks, before I turned it off)
Solutions:
Contact Apple through http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html in the hope of getting sync services back, one can hope ;(
Use an alternative cloud service (Google, etc.) for unsupported devices
Set up your own server in the home network
OSX Server
ownCloud
open source CalDAV and CardDAV servers
Revert to OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion (Warning: iTunes 12 will come eventually and may not support sync services anymore)
Use iTunes in Windows
Pen and Paper
give up and use iCloud
Deal with it

got answer by reading past community posts. The answer is to sync by turning on iCloud on both computer and iPhone.

I'm running 10.8.2 on a Macbook Pro. I have a 3GS iPhone running 6.0.1. I can make entries on my Mac Calendar and they will show up on my iPhone, but if I make an entry on my iPhone, it never makes it to my Mac. Also, I notice that when I log in to my iCloud account on my Mac, it has a "me.com" email address as my apple i.d., but it is not my primary account i.d. and I can't figure out how to delete it. Also, my Reminders application won't allow me to delete lists I created. Contacts, on the other hand, work instantaneously regardless of where the change is initiated.

On you iPhone check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the calendars section). Here be sure you have selected the Calendar listed under your iCloud account ID as your default. If you haven't, make this change, then enter a new event on your phone and see if it syncs properly now.
You should be able to delete you reminders list by, from the Lists view, tapping Edit at the top, then tapping next to the list you want to delete and tapping Delete.

You need to use the old ID and password to delete the iCloud account. After you delete the old account, you can sign in with the new ID in iCloud.

If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download to your device.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.

I needed to restore the phone and I didnt realize my back-up was 1yr old, and now the phone is restored and I've got a year old contact list and iMessage chat history. Luckily my iMessage on the Mac is still valid and has all the chat history. My question is how can I restore iMessage chats on my iPhone 4 from my Mac? I have all the chat history on my Mac, but there seems to be no sync function from Mac to iphone. Please advice.

If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

Have the photos been taken with the iPad or have the photos been synced to the iPad Air? Photos synced with iTunes to iOS devices cannot be synced back. See this link: iOS: Syncing photos using iTunes
If the photos have been synced to the iPad Air, you need an external app as JimHDK recommended. Or mail the photos, which will be tedious. To delete them from the iPad after transferring them, sync again with iTunes, but select no folders to sync.
If the photos have been taken with the iPad Camera, you can connect the iPad Air to your Mac using a USB cable and then to launch Image Capture or iPhoto to transfer the photos. But that will not transfer synced photos.

Cannot Sync iCal from .Mac

Whenever I try to sync iCal, a error message appears saying that iCal cannot sync due to inconsistent data, to reset data in iCal and then sync.
I have tried resetting the data on iCal, but it doesn't reset. I erased all the info, but I still cannot make iCal to sync date from .Mac.
Any idea?

How to sync Notes from Mac to iPhone?

Hi.
First up .. is Notes supported in Mavericks as I see no specific forum here?
My question is How to sync Notes from Mac to iPhone?
I have lots of Notes written in the Notes application on my iMac.
All these Notes also appear in my iCloud Notes page via Safari. So far, so good.
BUT if I want to sync Notes to my iPhone (iOS 7) my iPhone settings tells me iPhone Notes is default and that if I turn on Notes on iPhone all my iCloud Notes will be deleted.
HOWEVER, I cannot see a way on my iPhone to set the default Notes to iCloud.
I am unsure if this is a OSX question or an iOS question .. but it is a NOTES question.
If you can help, it would be appreciated. Else I will ignore Notes on iPhone (as it seems from other Forums I cannot delete it).
C'mon Apple .. you are losing the ease-of-use mojo.

Use the Preview application. If you have it in your dock you can drag a group of photos to the icon and they'll open with the first picture large and the rest as thumbnails to the side. Use the buttons at the top to go to the next picture and zoom in or out.
