Syncing causes problems

i have a ipod touch 2nd generation, the problem i have is when i listen to music off my ipod through itunes, the audio becomes crackly when my ipod decides to sync and returns to normal after the syncing is complete. i have turned off all forms of syncing and yet i have the same problem, i have had this problem for the last few days, i use a cable from an ipod video from about 3 years ago, i used the cable supplied with the ipod touch to see if the cable was damaged but it was still the same everytime it syncs the audio goes crackly.
i have the latest version of itunes and my ipod touch is on the version before 3.0 as i can't justify spending money for an update.
can someone please tell me how to fix the problem or infor me if this is an issue for the warrenty as the ipod touch is only 6 months old.

I would think this is normal-the sync is probably trying to work with other parts of the iPod's drive, while it's also trying to read the music. As a result, it does both in an incomplete fashion and you get crackles. If you've ever tried to listen to a CD while you're ripping it's contents to iTunes, you've likely noticed the same thing.

Sorry - I already reported it to adobe, they told me to uninstiall cc and reinstall - it still doesn't help.

I will be online with facebook etc, and in the back ground new folders are opening on my desktop. It will go to launch pad and back. If I'm reading an article on google and the cursor is hovering over a work - it will highlight and look it up in a dictionary for me. It will act as if I'm always right clicking when you hover over something, adobe apps that I've very seldom used will open, such as photoshop lightroom, Muse etc. on the bottom menu bar when you try to right-click to force quit, it won't work. It's like my computer is possessed. when I quit creative cloud desktop - it stops.

WinXP Clock Loses Time; Will Re-Sync Cause Problems?

We've recently upgraded to LabView7.1, and have recently noticed that our system clock is losing time at a much greater rate than it has in the past. The clock can be seen hanging every few seconds in the "Date and Time Properties" view where the date and time options of the computer can be set.
I may be incorrect, but I believe the system is unable to keep proper time due to the CPU intensive nature of our data logging VI's. We've decreased the data sample rates and resolution, as well as the displayed plotting rates of our collected data. This hasn't helped the problem. The plot of our CPU performance against time can be seen in Windows Task Manager, and our performance demonstrates a saw-tooth like curve o
f CPU usage, periodically saturating at 100% for a few seconds.
I'm interested in knowing if there is anything I can do to get my system keeping time correctly without any other time program intervention.
If I must incorporate the use of another time synchronization program like Thinking Man Software's Dimension 4 v5.0, how much risk am I running by having this extraneous program resynchronizing my clock while I'm logging data and executing VI's with time dependent loops?

It means that your VI uses all the ressources of your system.
This kind of phenomenon can occur when the system is overloaded with loops that are NOT timed.
If you time your loops (either with "timed loops" or "wait.vi" or "wait until next ms.vi")this should stop

RFC- SAP XI- PLAINHTTP SYNC causing Problem

Hi,
I am trying to set up a Scenario that sends a synchronous
Request from SAP via RFC to a selfwritten HTTP Receiver,
using the Plain HTTP Adapter. I want to receive my request
by my server (that part works allready)and send my response through the same connection back.
Everytime I send something back I get an

I build a complete synchronous scenario in ID,
RFC -> XI -> PLAINHTTP everythings works fine until my
Java program catches the response message,
when I try to use the still open connection (through
that Xi has allready sended my the request) to put the
XML-Message (Response message type referenced at the
response tab of my synchronous interface)back, I get a
time out in XI.
1. Question: Can I use the socket object in my Java
progtam to send my response directly back
2. If yes what besides the XML message payload is needed
3. Will I have to reference the incoming Message ID to
make clear my message is the synchronous response?

You can wipe the iPad's contents completely by going to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings. This will remove all of the previous user's apps, data, settings and so on from the iPad and you can set it up as your own.

Nokia E71 sync cause multiple calender entries

I've got a Nokia E71 and every time I sync between my PV (Windows XP) , Nokia E71 and my iMac i seem to get multiple calender instances of mainly repeating calender notes as birthdays and national holidays. I've tried to remove all the contacts with birthdays from my PC. When re-syncing the multiple calendar items will show up again. Seems that the PC and Mac read the calendar notes differently and hence after every synchronization add the same calendar series of i.e birtdays. Any solution to this annoying problem ?

if you are only having a few of the units with the challenges, check to see if there has been any other apps installed that may have affected the MfE that you installed on them to interface wtih your exchange server.
if there are no challenges there, then i would suggest uninstalling the MfE on the devices and then rebooting the device and then reinstalling it back on the device and setting it up again.
i had the problem only one time in the past and changing the settings seemed not to fix it at all. but restarting the process did.
also, there could have been an issue with the coveraget those employees were in with thier handsets which could have prevented the unit from syncing, causing internal confusion, then trying again and backlogging the transfer....just a theory...as sometimes the network locks the data connection and while it shows that it is connected, it is frozen.
may be a good idea to see where those affected units are "travleing" in relationship to each other to see if the coverage as stated above is an issue.

IPHONE 4.3.5 UPDATE/CANT SYNC CAUSE OF IT

So i updated my phone to the 4.3.4 and afterwards, half way through the sync i got an error saying "itunes has stopped working" and then it closes and then i tried to sync multiple times after and nothing. so after 2 days of working with apple on it they came to the conclusion that i needed to restore my phone and set up as a new phone, i did that and worked fine and finally synced. then there is an update 3 days later for 4.3.5 so im like cool, maybe they fixed the bug, because i couldnt sync again after the update of 4.3.4. so of course i update again. and same problem arises again. i get half way through the sync then just shuts down.
apple wants to sell me their "Apple Care Protection Plan" to help me any further, and to me thats just rediculous. they are such money hungry bastards its not even funny. so much for being all about the customer.
does anyone have any suggestions other than deleting itunes and all of its components, and restoring and setting up as a new iphone? ive done all this, and apple has been less than helpful. ??

You have just determined that the problem is your computer, not the iPhone. Try a different computer or when restoring do the following:
Use a USB port directly on the computer, not a hub, and if it is a desktop with both front and back ports use a port on the back (front ports are usually an internal hub).
Reboot your computer before restoring, and disable your antivirus and firewall. If you have Kaspersky and/or Zone Alarm this is definitely your problem; other security products can cause problems also.
Disconnect all other USB devices except mouse and keyboard
If you have EVER used this computer to jailbreak or otherwise hack ANY i-product you have corrupted the network database on the computer. You will have to fix this first.
If it still doesn't work make sure your operating system (on the computer) has the latest patches, and remove and reinstall iTunes as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925

I agree that having separate Apple IDs is a good idea. It helps keep things from getting confused between two user who might have different needs and wants on their devices.
You husband should save and backup to a computer all the files, photos and music that he wants to keep. He should also save any files created with the apps on his device. Once that is done he can use the Settings app to erase his device.
Settings > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings
He can then set up his device as new and create an Apple ID for himself. Once the device is up and running he can purchase and/or download the apps he wants and sync with a computer to restore the photos, files, etc.
To make syncing easier, with two Apple IDs, I suggest that you each use a different computer to sync with OR you have separate accounts on one computer. This way there will be two separate iTunes libraries and syncing with each will be straightforward.

Null values from DB2 cause problems

I have another problem with database link to DB2 using IBM iSeries Access for Linux on 64 bit OEL5 with Oracle Database gateway and unixODBC 2.2.14.
DB link works. However, null values from DB2 cause problems. Date columns that are null on db2 return a date '30.11.0002', and character columns that are null return an error ORA-28528: Heterogeneous Services datatype conversion error.
isql returns correct results.
How can i fix this? Perhaps set some parameters for data conversion on the gateway?

If the driver is not fully ODBC level 3 compliant and misses functions, we're lost. But sometimes the drivers are ODBC level 3 compliant but miss the correct 64bit implementation. In those cases we can tell the gateway to use the 32bit ODBC level 3 standard by setting in the gateway init file:
HS_FDS_SQLLEN_INTERPRETATION=32

I want to uninstall ReloadEvery as I think it is causing problems however it is not in my list of Extensions or Plugins yet it is clearly installed, I tried reinstalling FF but it was still there! How can I get rid of it?

I installed ReloadEvery a while ago and it seemed to be working fine however I am now having problems with FF crashing and weird things like pages not reloading and not being able to use the back button etc
I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling FF and upgrading to FF 4.
When I upgraded to FF 4 I was still having problems even though I didn't have any Extensions installed at all, or so I thought. I noticed that ReloadEvery was still installed. I was rather puzzled as I had done a clean install of FF 4. I want to remove ReloadEvery to see if it will solve my problems.
I have also tried following the help on the FF Troubleshooting about manually uninstalling Extensions but again ReloadEvery not listed there yet I am still able to use it in FF!

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

FF 3.6 AND 5 on same Mac, 1 profile - can I uninstall 5 without causing problems running 3.6 or with the profile?

I upgraded from 3.6.16 to 5, but don't like how 5 handles tabs (auto reloading 'problem loading' tabs when internet connection is reestablished). So I installed 3.6 in a separate folder, e.g. both versions are on this computer. I went back to using 3.6, and let it upgrade to either 3.6.18 or 19 (don't recall which & it's not open right now). I'm having problems with it using too much CPU & Memory, and not sure if that's a difference between 3.6.16 & 3.6.18/19, or if having 5 on the same computer even if closed could be causing the problem.
Can I uninstall 5 without causing problems with the 3.6 version and the single profile?

If you haven't tried this, give it a try. It worked for me, hopefully it will work for you. In your version 3 firefox, disable all extensions, I had two plugins (doubletwist and joost, disable those if you have them). Then install firefox 5 by overwriting your version 3 firefox. It should work fine after that. I tried everything before, I gave that a last ditch shot. Oh yeah, before you install firefox 5, clear your cache of everything just to be sure.

I would like to set up a new Apple Id for one of the phones and remove it from the old account.
If I do that, can I move all of the purchased apps and songs to the new Apple account?
Also, will sharing one Apple ID account with two devices cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

Java 6 you can't as Apple maintains it, and Java 7 you could if you uninstall it and Oracle provides the earlier version which they likely won't his last update fixed 37 remote exploits.
Java broken some software here and there, all you'll have to do is wait for a update from the other parties.

TS3579 I found this useful because I did not know about the effect of typing in data and that you could only drag to rearrange the data. I had typed in data before and this had caused problems but restoring defaults did not cause correct dates to show up

I found this (TS3579: If the wrong date or time is displayed in some apps on your Mac Learn about If the wrong date or time is displayed in some apps on your Mac) useful because I did not know about the effect of typing in data and that you could only drag to rearrange the data. I had typed in data before and this had caused problems but restoring defaults did not cause correct dates to show up in Finder.

It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

Can you remember what the permissions problem was that you had before? You may need to reinstall OS X from scratch and not reinstall anything from your Time Machine backups. To be on the safe side you should reinstall all third-party applications from scratch, as well. Then only restore from your backup your document/data files.
