  • Syncing money on itunes acct in computer with ipod touch

I redeemed a gift card for $15. My ITunes store on my laptop shows $15.34. But when I Sync the computer with my IPod touch... the $15 does not show on the IPod touch. My account show only .34. How do I sync it properly so that I can purchase from the IPod touch?

Sync has nothing to do with it.
The money is on the account. If you are logged into the account on your ipod, then you should have access to the same credit as any other device logged into that account.
    Are you connected to wi-fi?
Have you tried restarting your ipod or simply closing itunes on the ipod and opening again?

  • ITunes won't sync music with iPod Touch (5th Gen) After 7.0.3 Update.

    Hello,
I am just wondering has any solutions as to what might be the problem.
I have a 5th Gen iPod Touch and up until I updated it to the latest version of iOS 7.0.3 and iTunes 11.1.2.31 everything had been working fine.
Now since that update no new music will sync to my iPod. Applications, Photos and Movies work ok. I buy my music off the iTunes store. If I download an app for instance on my iPod the next time I go to iTunes it starts to download into the libary with no problem.
My computer recognises my iPod and then starts the sync process at the very end it says "Copying diagnostic information" then onto "Waiting for changes to be applied" that last step lasts for about a minute.
I can download tracks and albums onto my iTunes library onto my Windows 7 PC but when applying it onto my iPod nothing gets applied.
So, my question is has anyone found out that Apple is aware of the problem and are they going to fix it with another software update or is there anything that I can do that will resolve this problem.
I have tries de-authorizing my computer and then authrorizing it again to sync content onto my iPod.
The only way for now to get new content onto my iPod is to download directly to my iPod my using "Purchased" in iTunes store.
Thanks for your reponces in advance!
    Best,
    OrlaG

This is what I am experiencing. The top image is a playlist I made on the ipod. The second image in when I go to "On This iPod" > Purchased > Music
Could it be the iPod. All the other tracks work perfectly. Saturday was when this started

  • How do I transfer downloaded songs from a non-synced computer to Ipod?

My home computer where my Ipod is synced only has dial up Internet access. However, I have access to another computer with DSL to buy songs - what is the best way to transfer those purchased songs to my Ipod? I don't want to change the computer I sync to, because the second computer isn't mine. I know I can burn the songs to a CD and import them but this counts as one of my limited copies. If there is another way to do it I'd like to know - thanks.

You can't "sync" that is automatically update an iPod from multiple libraries or computers. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.
    Using iPod with Multiple computers
    Managing content manually on iPod
Once you have the songs on the iPod they can be transferred to your other computer. The transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod

  • Windows xp home edition works program does not sync contacts with ipod

I recently purchased a new computer with the Windows XP Home edition and it had a new program called Works installed. It takes the place of excel, powerpoint, calender, outlook, etc. Started to add contacts and my iPod 30gb says it can't sync contacts without outlook. Is there a patch fix for this? My old computer is on it's way to my son's, several hours away.

I don't own an iPod touch. I own an older 30 gb with click wheel. I am new to this whole thing-iPods, forums, etc. Of everyone in my family (adults) I am the most literate when it comes to computers and the other person is too young to be included in online forums. I just need to know if there is a fix for the iPod to correct the only with Outlook sync for the address book part of it.

  • Sync computer to Ipod?

Up until now, my Ipod touch (3rd gen, 64g)  has been synced off Itunes on an old PC.  Getting a new Imac tomorrow (first ever Mac.)  I realize I can copy all my media to an external USB drive, and dump it onto the new computer.  But is there any way to connect the programmed Ipod, and just have the Ipod Sync the new computer?  If not, what's the best/easiet way to get the Ipod and the new computer synced?  The Ipod is mostly CD's that I ripped, not very much content purchased from Apple.
    Thanks in advance.

But is there any way to connect the programmed Ipod, and just have the Ipod Sync the new computer?
No. iTunes content is not synced by definition of syncing, it is transferred. iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod, iPad, and iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
In addition to all other important that you will need or want to access on your new computer such as documents, photos, etc, you need to transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer as well.
Follow the instructions included with this link.

  • Sync Problems With Ipod and External HDD

Ive just got a new 4G ipod after returing it because of HDD problems and when i try to sync with itunes, it manages to sync a random number of songs (ill get to that later) often about a 100 and the says "Ipod could not be written or read from". The thing is that i use an Lacie 80Gb External USB 2.0 Powered Harddrive as my Music library. Also it seems not to be USB timeout because ive tried to power both the External HDD and Ipod with an external powered USB 2.0 Hub. Ive found out that the number of songs that syncs each time depends on the songs, because it seems that some songs cannot just be copied (ive tried to copy them through finder and it dosent work either, but moving and/or deleting them works) and they arent in anyway different(what i know of) to the songs that manages to be synced to the ipod. None of the songs have any kind of DRM restrictions.
Ibook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   Use An External USB 2.0 powered HDD as main media storage

Ive had it on my Ibook before and then moved it to the HDD because of Space Shortage, and then just added as ive aquired more music. Idon't Really Remeber but i think it worked before without any hiccups. oh well otherwise i can just delete those files because theyre only single files here and there. but its quite irritating because they don't seem to have any kind of corruption.

  • Restart of computer with iPod plugged in issue

    Hi,
Whenever I restart my Windows Vista computer with my iPod Classic plugged in via USB, the computer freezes and is unable to get past the DELL logo screen. Is there a known issue with this? When I have my USB flash drives plugged in, there is no problem with restarts.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    James

the ipod is like a mini computer ... you should disconnected first before you restart ... also, restaring with ipod connected might get damaged cos of power changing up and down, so you're risking to damage the ipod. good luck.

  • Changing sync computer with iphone

Have an 'old' iPhone, but just bought a new computer. Transferred all the relevant files to the new computer, and passed the old one off to my wife. I've just bought a new app for my iPhone and tried to connect to the new computer. iTunes doesn't 'see' the iPhone (iPhoto keeps opening up). I've got no music on my iPhone but lots of apps. How do I change the sync computer without losing all the apps on my iPhone?

YOU'LL SEE AN IPHONE ICON MORE THAN LIKELY. CLICK ON IT AND BACK UP YOUR PHONE THEN CLICK RESTORE FROM BACKUP. THAT SHOULD DO IT!

  • Syncing new computer with ipod

I have a bunch of songs on my ipod from a previous computer. Now that I have a new computer, do I HAVE to erase and sync my ipod? Is there a way I can keep or transfer my songs from my ipod to my new computer so I can just re-add them? I don't want to loose all my songs that I have! Is there anything I can do? Please help! Thanks.

so if some were not itunes purchases, i would have to basically copy the songs to a cd (from the old computer) and import it to my itunes library? thanks, that was very helpful

  • Sync problems with ipod color

Hi I'm having problems copying music onto my ipod. I am running iTunes 5 with the latest iPod software (1.2 from ipod updater 2005-09-23) on a windows XP platform with Service pack 2. My iPod is connected to my computer through USB 2.0.
When I plug my ipod to my computer, everything works fine, it gets recognized, I see the "do not disconnect" icon on the ipod and it starts syncing but the problem is, way before it finishes tranfering the songs, my ipod comes back to the main menu. I can read in iTunes that the transfer is complete and that it's ok to disconnect my ipod, even though it was NOT complete!
This really bugs me because I can't put all my songs onto my ipod and have to disconnect/reconnect it all the time to actually put my songs in it. What can I do to keep the transfer "alive" ?? please someone help me.

    Hi,
I have the same type of problem with my iPod 20GB color running XP Home SP2. This happens when I import a large number of songs (over 100 or so) from my CD's in iTunes at one time. It will disconnect and then restart the transfer over again several times. I figured out that when your iPod is actually connected and doing the transfer, if you right click on the iPod (example: Joe Smiths iPod) in the iTunes left side menu, and click on "update" every 40 or 50 songs or so it will transfer everything without disconnecting. I discovered this yesterday while transferring about 270 songs to my iPod after it tried to automatically do it about three times. I don't know if this is the "real" fix for this but it worked for me. The problem doesn't appear to happen with a couple of CD's worth of songs.
    Good luck!

  • Sync Problem with iPod Touch and Apple TV relating to iPhoto

I have recently recovered from a crash and has to restore everything from my time machine.
I have an iPod touch that syncs with my itunes and therefore with my iPhoto.
Same thing with my Apple TV syncing via itunes with my iPhoto.
After the restore. I have this message:" itunes cannot sync photos to the Apple TV because of a problem on your computer. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.
Previously I got the same message when syncing iPod touch with iPhoto. Then I opened iPhoto package content and remove the iPod Photo cache. that solves my iPod touch sync problem.
How can I sync with Apple TV again?

I believe you need to reset the Sync services data. Assuming your data on the Mac is correct (or correctable), try this:
    1. If it is easy enough to do, clean up iCal. There are AppleScripts and other tools on the Internet to do this.
    2. Save a copy of you calendar. Just in case. (File, Back up iCal...)
    3. Exit iCal.
    4. Start iSync.
    5. Preferences, Reset Sync History. (If it is greyed out, wait a few minutes.)
    6. Quit iSync.
    7. Start iTunes and plug in your iPod.
    8. Select your iPod and go to the Info tab.
    9. Make sure you have the correct Calendars selected. At the bottom, under Advanced, under Replace information on this iPod, select Calendars.
    10. Sync.
    That should do it.
Normally, the fiddling with iSync should clear things up, so you can try just that, and syncing, but since your have a messed up situation, I'd go through all these steps once.

  • HELP: iTunes 6 unable to sync songs with ipod - hangs freezes crashes

    Hi,
This has been posted before, but a search of 500 messages have turned up no solutions. Anyone who has any idea of a solution please help.
    PROBLEM:
iTunes 6 and ipod 5th gen unable to sync songs or manually move more than 50 songs at a time to ipod. It hangs / freezes / crashes when updating the ipod. It will stop at 50 songs, 100 songs, sometimes even 2200 songs - out of 8000.
The "Beachball of death" comes on, and there is no way to force quit or stop the now frozen update. The only thing that gets a response is pulling the ipod from the dock or powering the computer down manually.
    TRIED:
    1. Repair permissions
    2. Update ipod with latest ipod update software
    3. Restore ipod " " " " '
    4. Used Activity Monitor to see where program hangs - no added info, it will stop randomly at different songs, and next time around it will pick another son to hang / freeze at
    5. uncheck "put hard disks to sleep when possible" in Energy Preferences pane
I am at my wits end with this..... will try anything.... even Voodoo at this point as long as you tell me it worked for you!
Anyone ever solved this long standing problem (which seems to be present with iTunes 7 as well) ?
    Thanks !
