Syncing from PC to iPhone & then to MacBook

I was at an Apple store yesterday and I spoke with an Apple Specialist who could not help solve this problem. I want to sync my contacts and calender on my work PC (connected to MS Exchange server), to my iPhone and then to my MacBook.
My work PC is where I keep my primary list of contacts and my calendar details. I can sync my iPhone perfectly well to my work PC, but then when I sync my iPhone with my MacBook at home, it asks me to merge the data. This messes up everything because my iPhone does not overwrite anything on the MacBook, it can create duplicates of contacts and calendar appointments if a calender appointment has changed.
I guess what I really want is rather than have the merge option from iPhone to MacBook, I really would like to have my iPhone erase and overwrite data on my MacBook.

the thing with exchange and syncing data is that they dont want you to sync your work data to another computer and be able to keep it there.
That is the whole idea of having exchange and the security involved with it.
Your employer has the ability to remote wipe the data off your iphone at will (like if your terminated) and that is a "feature" of exchange.
Another thing is, try turning off the exchange syncing on your iphone. Notice that all your data dissapears. This is also another "feature".
It would be nice to be able to sync your exchange server stuff to your home pc but it's not allowed for good reason.

This is true and is the way the iphone is intended to be used. It is not a backup device.
You should move your music from the old computer to the new one first then sync. You should have a backup of all of your music/pics/docs/etc. Use this to transfer the music, or the Apple Store will do ti for you, or you can call Apple Support and they will help you.
The iphone will sync to ONE computer at a time. When you sync to another it will erase the media from the iphone and replace with the content from the new computer.

My Genius mixes do not update/sync from MAC to iPhone 5S

My original sync from mac to iPhone (when I first bought it) is there, but since then any & all subsequent updates (new songs, deleted Mixes still showing on iPhone, removing Holiday songs from Genius) will update in my mac but not on my iPhone 5S? okay.. when you connected your iphone to your mac and click an on device summary. then scrolled down the. there should a line that says Manually manage music and videos. if is not have a check on the box click, then click on it after that click on that says apply and then you should be done

Not all phone numbers sync from Gmail to iPhone

Is there a way to control which phone numbers sync from my Gmail Contacts to my iPhone (and vice-versa)?
A few things I've noticed:
- only 1 "mobile" number gets synced from gmail to iphone (which is a pain when a contact has mobile numbers is a couple of different countries)
- a number labled as "other" in gmail doesn't get synced at all to the iphone
I should mention that I have my Gmail account on my iPhone set up as an "Exchange" account.

If you've got Gmail set up as an Exchange account, your options for labels are limited. And, every now and then, I had it randomly relabel things. I'd recommend syncing the contacts through a standard Gmail set up. If you want to keep using your email through Exchange you can do that. Just turn off contacts for that account. When you set up the standard Gmail account (IMAP), only turn on contacts. I've found it works much better.

He can select the pictures and share them with himself, which will put them in his shared album on his computer under pictures and icloud pictures. So they will then be in the shared folder under Pictures<iCloud Photos on his computer.

You delete them the same way you put them there, the sync process.

To reiterate, some reasons you may not be getting Albums group as you want:
Songs are not properly tagged in itunes prior to synching (you should also make sure Album Artist is tagged, BTW)
You are using the wrong view in the Music app

That is because that sync ability (for contacts and calendars) has been removed. Use iCloud instead.

Photos syncing from folder to iPhone all out of order?

I have 2 folders synced to my iPhone 4 photo app.
They were previous camera rolls before I set up my phone as a new device. They are all named in order and taken in order, for example IMG_001.jpg was my first picture in my old camera roll. IMG_822.jpg was the last photo taken before I did the backup, and is the last in the folder.
The folder I am syncing from on my windows computer displays all of the pictures by filename (and because of that, by date) but when syncing with iTunes they end up on the phone ALL out of order. I can't find any rhyme or reason to how they are displaying. Most of the earlier photos show up at the beginning like they should, and the last at the bottom of the scroll appear to be mostly right, but then it's completely random from there.
I've tried unsyncing them, removing them, and then adding them back again and nothing seems to work. I've even tried renaming the IMG_xxx numbers to different things and they still appear to sync in the same random order.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a huge bug for someone with OCD like me? lol

I have probably 15-20 Smart Albums in iPhoto 8.1.2 in OS10.6.4 that are syncing to iOS4.0
On the old software, my Smart Albums for photos would show up AS the smart albums I created. Now they show up in the iPhone one giant mess called "Photo Library".
I can view photos broken up under "Events" on the iPhone by specific dates, but the dates don't tell me what the name of the event was, and some Smart Albums had multiple dates grouped together in one Smart Album and I don't really want them broken out separately by date. I want them organized how I organized them...
In short, I want my photos grouped the way I have explicitly grouped them. It used to work, it doesn't now.
Since iOS4.0 I am also getting sync errors all the time in iTunes. "iPhone cannot be synced because the required file cannot be found." WHICH FILE??? tell me and I will delete it...
I've rebuilt the entire database in iPhoto (took 4 hours). I've scanned iTunes and removed all broken links and duplicate files. I've scanned the hard drive with the disk tool. I've emptied the iPhone and reinstalled iOS4 on it 5 times. I've turned syncing off for all non-essential applications and stuff I don't actually sync like voice memos. Same problem.
I think I want my iOS 3 back. I don't really like multitasking anyway, always having to turn off applications for the one or two times in a million where task switching if helpful...

My notes are not syncing from iCloud to my iPhone 4s.
I turned Notes 'off' on my iPhone (Settings>iCloud>Notes), then back on.
Now all of my notes on my iPhone have DISAPPEARED.
Restarted my 4s - no change.
I created a test Note on iCloud.com and it does not appear on my iPhone.
ALL of my Notes were only in the iCloud account on my iPhone.
Help please!

Notes will not sync with your iPhone 4S, nor your iPhone 3G, or your iPad unless you have Notes selected from the Info tab in iTunes.
