Syncing iPad 1 calendar to iPhone 5 (no iCloud)

I have an original iPad running iOS 4.3.5 (so no iCloud) and would like to sync the calendar to my iPhone 5 iOS 6.1.4. I have synced and backed up the iPad to my PC, but have not been able to figure out a way to then sync the calendar to my iPhone. I don't care if the existing iPhone calendar is overridden because it is new. Any help would be appreciated.

If you've already synced the iPad calendar to your PC, what did you sync it to? Outlook? If so, when syncing your iPhone, use the same settings in iTunes for the iPhone. Of course, this will mean that to sync, you would need to use your PC as the intermediary.
You should be able to find instructions on Google's site for syncing you Google calendar to Outlook. If your iPad entries are already there, they would sync to the Google calendar and, from there on out, you'd just use the Google calendar.
Is there a reason you don't want to use iCloud?

Well the term "hotlined" I have never heard before. In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.
    Good Luck

  • How can i better manage and sync contacts and calendars between iPhone, iMac, Macbook air and iPad?

Hello I love MAC products and own quite a few but am still having a tough time synchronizing everything "under the same common roof" despite using "icloud". Does anyone have 4 duplicates for the same contact on an 1000 contact database (with Group contacts, MAC contacts, Icloud contacts etc...) what a headache! Thanks for any suggestions.

Simply on the iPhone in the iCloud preferences turn off the contacts sync. It will ask if u wanna delete or not the contacts on the iphone. You answer to leave the Contacts on iphone. After that proceed to delete all contacts from all u're other devices and the iCloud site. A way to do it fast is to deselect the contact sync on icloud options in every device and when asked tell to delete the contacts from device. When u're sure that all other devices contacts are clean turn again on the contacts sync on the iCloud preferences for each device and at last the iPhone. After few the iPhone contacts will be sync to other device so u'll have same Contacts on all device. In this way when u'll made a change on one of u're device all other will have same change.

  • Syncing Ipad 3 too 2 Iphone 5's... any takers :)

    Hi All,
Firstly thanks for reading,  as my topic describes I am trying to syncing my iPad 3 Calendar to our 2 iPhone 5's.
I have three accounts for iCloud and one account for iTunes,  the main account is on the iPad and my partners and I accounts are associated with our iPhones,
my question : is there a way where we can share the iPads Calendar and it then in return updates our calendars on the iPhones?
I am sure this has been asked before, and I have had a search through the discussions, but sadly a lot deal with Mac's and so on, where we are totally iPad and iPhone.
    Thanks in Advance..

From the User Guide that was referenced above.
    Sharing iCloud calendars
You can share an iCloud calendar with other iCloud users. When you share a calendar, others can view it, and you can let them add or change events, too. You can also share a read-only version that anyone can view.
Create an iCloud calendar:  Tap Calendars, tap Edit, then tap Add Calendar.
Share an iCloud calendar:  Tap Calendars, tap Edit, then tap the iCloud calendar you want to share. Tap Add Person, then choose someone from Contacts. The person will receive an email invitation to join the calendar, but needs an Apple ID and iCloud account to accept your invitation.
Turn off notifications for shared calendars:  Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then turn off Shared Calendar Alerts.
Change a person’s access to a shared calendar:  Tap Calendars, tap Edit, then tap a person you’re sharing with. You can turn off their ability to edit the calendar, resend the invitation to join the calendar, or stop sharing with them.
Share a read-only calendar with anyone:  Tap Calendars, tap Edit, then tap the iCloud calendar you want to share. Turn on Public Calendar, then tap Share Link to copy or send the URL for the calendar. Anyone can use the URL to subscribe to your calendar using a compatible

  • Sync multiple google calendars with iPhone

You will not find this option on your iPhone calendar settings.
You will not find this option on your Google calendar settings.
The only way to sync all the calendars you have linked to your google account - not just the primary one - is to go to this URL:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect
After you are done clicking on each calendar click SAVE. Give your iPhone a few minutes to sync up. I am told from others that the max is 25 calendars, although that is not stated on the web page.
I think it's interesting that Google doesn't include this option right on the calendar settings section. Nor could I find the answer in any of the apply forums.

Sorry Julian, there was another part of this about the iCloud alert syncs between iPhone and iCloud and Google that I ended up clipping and posting in another spot and forgot to change the forum I was in when I spoted. First time doing this, and sans coffee, not sure if I can change the forum assignment retroactively.

  • Can't sync Outlook 2007 Calendar on iPhone 3G, iOS 4, iTunes 9.2, WindowsXP

I did upgrade my iPhone 3G to iOS 4.0 and iTunes to 9.2. Now I can’t sync Outlook 2007 calendar. Contacts and notes are ok.
I did try to sync on Windows XP SP3 and Vista SP2. I was unable to sync calendar on both computers.
I had this problem before with iTunes 9x. I was able to fix it creating a new PST file and copying all folders to this new file.
Now with iOS 4.x and iTunes 9.2 it doesn’t work. I did uninstall iTunes, clear the Windows registry, and delete all Apple folders. I also downloaded again iTunes and install it from zero. It didn’t work at all.
I also uncheck, check, recheck the Advanced options in iTunes to delete, doesn’t synchronize calendars, and contacts on iPhone… nothing works.
What else can I do to fix this pain? Any suggestion?
    Daniel

Same problem here. Just bought an iPhone 3GS, downloaded iTunes 9.2 and it crashes my Outlook 2007. Outlook simply stops responding, and I have to kill it. Won't even start in Safe Mode. I have to restart the computer to revive it. Next time I start iTunes -- CRASH!
I bought the iPhone because I wanted to sych my emails, calendars and notes. Do I have to return the iPhone now?

  • How do I sync contacts and calendar from iphone to PC?

How do I sync contact and calendar info from my iPhone into Outlook on my PC?  The iPhone User Guide suggests that you can only sync from the PC to the phone. Is there a way to reverse the direction?

The sync process for contacts and calendar events with a supported app on your computer is a bi-directional or true sync process.
There is a way to replace on the iPhone with what is available in the supported application on your computer but not the other way around.
If the supported application on your computer includes contacts and calendar events and the same with your iPhone, with the first sync for this data you will be provided a merge prompt, which you want to select.
This is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

  • ICloud and iPad 2 Calendars does not the match. iCloud settings are on!

    Hello everybody......
    Apple please help!
My iPad 2 calendar has appointments and entries from January 1st 2012 until December 2012. But iCloud Calendar does not contain data before November 2012. It holds only data from October, November and December 2012.
Suddenly today happens exactly the opposite.
I have to say that ALL my iCloud settings on my iPad 2 are enabled. iOS 6.0.1 installed on iPad 2.

If you are saying that you can't see events older than 3 months on your iPad calendar now, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...scroll down to the Calendars section and tap Sync, then set to a longer time period.

  • How to sync outlook 2007 calendar with Iphone 4?

How do I sync my outlook 2007 calendar with my iphone 4? It used to happen, now it won't work. Thank you.

    Howdy there Connie,
If your Outlook 2007 is still not syncing to your phone I would like to recommend the following article to help you troubleshoot the Sync Services between your the two devices, named:
Troubleshooting Sync Services on Windows with Microsoft Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2010
First backup your data, THEN proceed with the articles troubleshooting step by step until it is resolved:
    Back up your data
Refer to this Microsoft article for steps to back up the data in your PST file used by Microsoft Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook 2007. This Microsoft article explains where the Microsoft Outlook 2010 data files are located.
For information about backing up the data in your OST file, contact your Exchange Administrator. Your OST file should be on the server and backed up when the server is backed up.
Before troubleshooting, it is recommended that you make a copy of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch backup in a safe place. For more information about where to find the backup and what information it contains, refer to About backups.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Re-sync multiple google calendars on iphone

I'm out of state and *all* of my Google Calendars unsynced from my iPhone save for one (the primary). I want to resync these with my iPhone and don't have my computer with me. I know there's a way to do so but I don't remember how.
    Please advise ASAP.

  • How can I sync my outlook calendar with iPhone or calendar on Maverick?

I have just updated to Mavericks on my iMac. I use Microsoft Outlook for email, contacts and calendars. How do I now sync these on my iPhone ?
The only sync seems to be via iCloud, this is sharing calendar and contacts on the iMac but if I make any calendar additions to the outlook calendar it doesn't copy to the phone or the iMac calendar and similarly if I add an item to the phone calendar it syncs to the iMac calendar but doesn't copy to outlook.

    1. Apple has removed sync services in OS X Mavericks. Therefore, you cannot sync Outlook 2011 with Contacts or Calendar.
    2. Apple has removed the ability to sync through iTunes in OS X Mavericks, so that, even if you use Contacts and Calendar on the Mac, you can only sync them with your iPhone through iCloud, thus exposing all your contacts and calendar information to the mercies of the Web.
    3. Microsoft does not not support CalDAV and CardDAV in Outlook, so there is no way to sync directly through iCloud, except perhaps by setting up a Microsoft Exchange account.
    4. Apple makes it extremely difficult (virtually impossible) to revert to a version of OSX that is earlier than OS X Mavericks once Mavericks is installed.
In short, we are screwed and neither company seems to care.
