After syncing iPad Air with iTunes the Info Page no longer shows up.  Doesn't matter if I sync via wi-fi or try another computer.  Without the Info Page how do I sync my calander/contacts/mail ??

I think there's a big ol' discussion in the Mavericks forum about this - some folks have suggested setting up your own CalDAV server so you can continue syncing without having to route things through iCloud.
It may be simpler to go back to Mountain Lion or Lion (assuming you were on either of those). My syncing computer is on Lion and can't go higher so I didn't realize until recently that USB syncing over contacts & calendars was no longer available!

  • How to stop to sync ipad apps with itunes without loosing everything?

My iPad is synching it's apps with itunes. Now that we have icloud, my ipad already has a backup in the cloud, and the PC backup of my apps is no longer useful. My goal is to stop my apps to sync with itunes on my PC because it is useless, it takes a lot of space on my hard drive (with many apps other 1-2GB each), because it drains my network bandwidth when it syncs, and finally because it makes my music synching with itunes extremely long (because it needs to sync all apps when it sync the music), and all of that without any use.
I tryed to simply uncheck "sync my apps" , but itunes wants to delete all my app and app data if I do so. I searched online and found out that some tryed to let itunes erase them, then use the icloud backup, but it seems that the icloud backup also backup the "sync my apps is checked", so it is not working. I tryed contacting Apple directly but for itunes they say we have to use the Fast Land, which cost money, which is conter logic (why should we pay to report bugs and get support for an unworking product that should work properly in the first place?), and also very frustrating.
I got poor support by Apple over the years, but I now that the best support often comes from the people that uses the product itself, and that is why I am trying to get the answer from you guys over the support communities.
None of us is paid to help each other, so thank you in advance for your time!
PS: Apple; fast lane needs to be free, it's not normal to have to pay to get the service every company in the world gives freely...

How do I keep these computers in sync in iTunes without iTunes re-arranging my iPhone home screen and corresponding app icons?
You don't.  Each sync-able item (apps, music, contacts, calendar, etc) can only have one source.  You don't see it because all of the iTunes libraries have the same apps, but if they didn't, it'd be adding and deleting apps too.  So each type you sync, the one you're currently syncing with becomes the authority.
Since you state that your goal is for all the libraries to match, there's no reason to be syncing them all.  Pick one, designate it as the authority, and on the other two, don't sync apps.

  • Syncing iPad 2 to iTunes

When I sync my iPad 2 to iTunes (latest version) it keeps saying 'Finishing sync' and it never ends. How can I fix this?

In followup.  I tried syncing several times, still no music. I then changed the usb connection to the back of the computer, closed firewall and antivirus software. Sync went rapidly and now my music is back on the IPod app. One of the three (or all three) changes stopped the interference with the syncing. Will see what happens next time.

  • When syncing ipad to my itunes i get the message 'sync could not be finished because the sync failed to start' help!!

when syncing ipad to my pc's itunes i get the message 'sync cud not be finished as sync failed to start' help

So I reset my Apple ID password. Which then stopped my MobileMe account from working. Hang on - these were 2 different accounts a while ago, with different passwords!!!
So I have logged back in to MobileMe with my AppleID, and that's working again. After a short wait I can now create Home Sharing again.
Folks, I think we have just had our Apple IDs merged with our MobileMe accounts!! With no consultation or warning.
My guess is that this is the most seamless way for Apple to do it, as the vast majority of people use only one email address and one password for everything. Only those of us who had the same email adress but different a different passwords for MobileMe and Apple ID will have noticed. Annoying for us few, but a clever strategy on Apple's part, becasue we have been driven to fix the issue ourselves by chaning the password, and in doing so we have realised that our mobileme account is now the same thing as our Apple ID.

  • I have both an iPod and Ipad 2. Latest I have sync. ipod. Now when I want to sync. iPad 2 in iTunes its only iPod mentioned in sync. window and it does not help to connect iPad. its not shown in iTunes. What to do next?

I have both an iPod and iPad 2. Latest I have sync. iPod and now I want to sync iPad, but iPad is not shown in iTunes when connected. I have the latest iTunes version.

If your computer starts image capture or some other camera software you should be able to quit that and then your iPad will show up in iTunes. Mine does this all the time.
The preference on what to start up when a "camera" is connected is found in Image Capture. So start Image Capture. It's in the applications > Utility folder. Then look for preferences. In my version it's in the lower left corner. Select None or Nothing and quit the program. From then on your iPad should show correctly in iTunes. But you will most likely have to start your smear software manually when you do connect a camera to your computer.

  • Sync iPad 2 with iTunes on MacBookAir

    Hi!
1.Please don't laugh at me when I say I am not being able to sync my iPad, after having been using it for more than a year now!!
    2. I had been syncing my iPad2 with iTunes on my Windows Vista machine. After my Windows Vista Laptop crashed, i replaced it with a Macbook Air 128GB (MBA). Since hard disk space on the MBA is at a premium, I transferred my iTunes Media Library to a 64 GB USB drive.
    3. Now I tried to sync my iPad with iTunes on my MBA.
    4. iTunes on MBA saw my iPad: sync started: backing up completed without any hitch: and then came the error message "The iPad “Rishav’s iPad” cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the selected items (additional 7.88 GB required)".
    5. I checked the available memory on my MBA, USB and iPad: details:
         a. HDD of MBA: 86.6 GB out of 120.47 GB Free.
         b. USB Drive where iTunes Media Library is located: 39.93 GB out of 64 GB Available.
         c. iPad 2: 7.7 GB out of 58.1 GB Available.
    6. Despite this availability of free memory, the sync is not going through.
    7. The memory utilization within my iPad, as seen graphically on iTunes on my MBA (when iPad is connected to MBA) is as follows:
         a. Audio:      8.10 GB
         b. Video:      7.30 GB
         c. Photos:    7.50 GB
         d. Apps:      14.00 GB
         e. Books:      1.01 GB
         f. Others:      2.60 GB
         g. Free:       17.94 GB
Please advise how I can carry out my sync.
    Regards

    Ok guys! Mystery solved.
I got the crashed Windows Vista machine up..... albeit crawling..... and synced the iPad back with iTunes on it. From the iPad itself, deleted ALL video files (movies and podcasts). From Windows iTunes, by manually managing the audio files, deleted ALL Audio files.
Thereafter got back to MBA iTunes and synced. This time the operation went through.
Thank you for giving the matter a thought. Shared the way I managed to resolve it so that somebody somewhere, trying to do a similar operation and running into similar problem as I, can have some pointers to resolve his/ her issues.
    Thank you everyone.
    Regards

  • Syncing iPad 2 via iTunes

I am attempting to backup and sync an iPad 2 to my Mac Pro laptop via iTunes. My iPad is running IOS 8.1 and my laptop in running Yosemite. iTunes keep giving me an error message "unable able to copy to MAC hard drive" unknown error. Looking for help solving this issue.

Well, I managed to solve my own issue. After multiple restarts on both iPad and Mac Laptop, I was able to get a normal sync. Problem solved, although not sure why issue occurred in the first place.

  • Syncing iPad apps to iTunes

Recently, I have had a few issues updating a few apps on my iPad and I receive a message saying they will be downloaded when synced to my computer.
Now when I try to sync, I get a message asking if I'm sure and all apps will be overwritten to reflect my iTunes library. Only issue is I never synced to my iTunes library and there aren't any apps on there. The last thing I want is to have all of my apps vanish only because I'm trying to update one app.
Is there any way to have my iTunes library reflect exactly what I already have on my iPad rather than the iPad reflecting the library?

Well I guess that solved part of the problem. Now when I go to the apps tab under my iPad, the "sync apps" box is un-checked. I see all of my apps in there but once I check the box, I see the apps in the springboard thumbnail area, but none of them are in folders like I have them on my iPad. Instead, the icons are in alphabetical order without folders.
I just want to be 100% certain my iPad isn't going to change after I sync.
    Thanks

  • Can't sync iPad mini with iTunes after iOS 8

iPad is just junk after iOS 8. I was  going to purchase a Mac book air this week, but now I don't know. can someone help me?
I have tried re syncing several times. i backed up my iPad. The music synced, but most  photos & iBooks haven't. They are in my iTunes i just can't get to them.
    thanks,
    eileen

Waiting for items to copy generally means there's some corrupted file that's gumming up the works. Often if you be patient and just let it sit and let iTunes do its thing, often it resolves itself.
I had an issue with the music on my iPod. It took me about half an hour waiting and it resolved itself.
Or you can try to sync your photos and books a few at a time and see if you can find the file that there's an issue with.
