Syncing iPhone and iPad with same id
Hello, I have an iPad and an iPhone and when I sync iphone he "gets" all I have on the iPad, as if by synchronizing id. How can I do to avoid this?
open itunes, connect ipad, select what you want, sync, disconnect ipad.

I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2 which I sync to the same iTunes on my home PC. Every time I connect my iPhone to my iTunes, it invariably gets synced with whatever apps, music, movies and books which I synced to my iPad 2. How do I configure my iTunes in such a way that I sync different sets of apps, movies, music, etc. to both my iPhone and iPad? Thank you.

Syncing iPhone and iPad with Mac Book Pro
Is it possible to sync my iPhone and iPad to my Mac Book Pro and have the same screens and apps? I see where all apps appear in my iPad syncing window, but I cannot make it exactly like my iPhone... Is this possible? Thank you!
Hi Kristi,
Connect your iPad and your iPhone to your MBPro. Launch iTunes. Under Devices on the left side of the iTunes window you can select either device then select Apps from the menu.
You can drag home screens and rearrange apps right from that window. Very smart idea on your part to do that. That way it's the same (or close to) on both devices.

I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

I have a problem with the synchronisation of my iPhone and iPad with Outlook 2007 on my 64-bit Windows 7 PC. For several years,
I have had no problems with the synchronisation by cord connection and iTunes between these programmes. However, a few months ago I decided to use Mobile Me. However, there were problems with duplication of calendars and then “rogue events” – which could not be deleted – even if deleted on Outlook and on the iPhone (or both at the same time) – they would just reappear after the next synchronisation. All other synchronisation areas (eg Contacts, Notes etc) work fine.
I have looked for help through the Apple Support Community and tried many things. I have repaired my Outlook. I have repaired my .pst file in Windows. I have re-installed the latest version of iTunes on my PC. I have re-installed the firmware on my iPhone. I have tried many permutations on my iPhone. I have closed down all Mobile Me functions on the iPhone. I have spent upwards of 24 hours trying to solve this problem.
What am I left with? Outlook works seamlessly on my PC. My iPhone calendar now has no events from my calendar, but does not synchronise through iTunes. Nor does it send events initiated on the iPhone to the Outlook. I am at the point of abandoning iPhones and iPads altogether. I need to have a properly synchronising calendar on my phone. Do you have any suggestions?In the control panel goto the "Lenovo - Power Manager" and click the battery tab, there is a maintenance button in there that will let you change the charging profile for your battery. (from memory, so exact wording may be off)
The lower the numbers you use there, the longer the battery *should* last. These batteries degrade faster at higher charge levels, however storing them at too low of levels is also not good for them... I've read that 40% is optimal, but just not realistic if you use your computer.

Why isn't it not possible to synchronize with itunes 11.1.4 the contacts and calendars of my iphone and ipad with outlook 2010 as it was possible before with itunes 10?

hello. I can not configure my major mail account at Mac Mфail - other accounts such as Hotmail and Gmail are working great. Also, I am using that major account at iPhone and iPad with no problem. I had contacted mail provider - we had followed step by step all the settings,, they are correct, and I was suggested to use another mail program. Why, for God's sake I should use different programs for different mail accounts? Anyone, had the same problem?

I have started getting spammed on multiple Apple products (iPhone and iPad) with FaceTime calls since the recent IOS update. Is there any feature or setting I can use locally to restrict incoming calls to a FaceTime account without going to the carrier?
After calling AT&T tech support one more time, and explaining to them that the glitch was on their network, they admitted that the problem was at their tower...
I continued to use the phone on EDGE mode for two more days until the problem was fixed.
I even got a call back from a tech support guy asking me if my phone was working properly....
I wish they would have admitted to the problem before I sat at the apple store for 2 hours. -

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the other ID. When you delete the account it will prompt you about what to do with the iCloud data. If you need to migrate it and merge it with the data in the new account choose Keep on My iDevice; then choose Merge to upload the data and merge it with the new account. If your data is already in the other account and you don't need to migrate it to the other account, choose Delete from My iDevice.

I click trust on the device and then continue from within iTunes and I get this : iTunes could not connect to this iPad. You do not have permission.
I have started getting this too after running disk utility and verify disk permissions, then running repair disk permissions

Anything you uncheck in iTunes remains the same with iTunes regardless which device you are syncing.
I make use of iTunes playlists for the music I want transferred to my iPhone. Under the Music tab for my iPhone sync preferences, I have selected playlists, artists, and genres chosen. I select the iTunes playlists and/or artists and genres that I want transferred to my iPhone. I also have sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary tab for my iPhone sync preferences. This way if I want to remove a song or songs from my iPhone without removing the songs from the playlist I've selected to be transferred to my iPhone, I can uncheck the song or songs in the playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. Or I can remove a song or songs from the playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. To add additional music to my iPhone, I can add the music to one of the playlists in iTunes I've selected to be transferred to my iPhone followed by a sync.
You can have the same playlist or playlists transferred to both, or different playlists transferred to each, but whatever is deselected in iTunes will be reflected on both with sync only checked songs and video selected for your iPhone and iPad sync preferences. -
Cloud computing between my iPhone and iPad with my wife's new iPhone
Just purchased an iPhone 5 for my wife and have connected it to my existing iTunes account. I already have an iCloud account for my iPhone 5 and iPad. What I would like is to be able to share calendars, photostream, and provide cloud based backup for her but still maintain autonomy between the devices. I do not wish to have her contacts transferred onto my iPhone/iPad and she does not wish to have mine either.
Do/can I set up a new iCloud account for her phone and share photostream/calendar while still sharing the same itunes account? Is that possible or is there an easier way to be able to do this?You can leave your iPhone and iPad as they are. If you haven't set up iCloud on your wife's phone yet, simply go to Settings>iCloud on her phone and sign in with a different Apple ID. (If you don't have one, tap Get Free Apple ID at the bottom to create one. This will require a different non-Apple email address, which must be verified to validate the ID.) You can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing (in Settings>iTunes & App Stores). It does not need to be the same as the ID you use for other services such as iCloud.
If, on the other hand, your existing iCloud account is already set up on her phone, and her data is now merged with yours, you will need to migrate her phone to a new account, then delete the unwanted data from each account. Begin by saving any photo stream photos she has on her phone to her camera roll by opening her my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud on her phone, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. Your devices will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up her new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (i.e., delete her data from your account, and vice versa). -
I'm Running Exchange 2010 with outlook 2010 in my environment, since Apple OS went from 5.x to 6.x I been having issues where the Iphones and Ipads running OS version 6.x or higher do not acknowledge that the exchange user has a calendar delegate and are automatically accepting the invitations, not allowing the Delegate to acknowledge first, If this test is run on any Apple devices running OS Version 5.x but less than 6.x the issue is not there.. any one that may have encounter with this situation got a fix or a possible resolution on it.. Ok, well after looking at everything, I decided that the best solution was to uninstall an App called "Tango", as it seemed to 'mess' with contacts directly, and I only use it with 1 person, so switching back to Skype (plus Tango sends/shares lots of personal
info, location, and keeps changing it's access rights and doing stuff when you're not looking - I'm sure some people love it, but for me, it's a belts and braces get rid of anything that might have 'contributed' to this issue).
Found my un-sync'd contacts and emailed them to myself, then deleted the Exchange active-sync account. Checked what was left, found google had managed to sync some stuff, cleared that up too!
RE-created the account on the S4 - only need the email and password, as it finds the server and sets itself up automatically (I guess it did that previously).
All is now working, after about 5mins the data had been re-populated and it sync's new changes instantly. But I will monitor from time to time to check that new contacts or added numbers etc do sync. My best guess is that some index or other data became corrupt.
Just one of those things (or had I been tango'd?!).
On the Truncating Notes Issue, the S4 (realised that it's running Android 4.3) does chop a note but only if edited, at 1001 chrs. However unlike others, it seems to only truncate the note if you actually edit the note field, so adding a phone number or removing
one, leaves the note field intact!
To summaries other devices behaviour with the Contact record Notes Field:
- iPhone 3GS (on iOS 6.1.3) truncates at 32,777 chrs (so pretty big notes!)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8020 - Android 4.1.1) chops at about 1,000chrs, even if just adding a phone number to the contact - so not even editing the notes field
- HTC One X (4.2.2) at 5,122 chrs (when editing any part of the contact)
I hope this might help someone in the future if they have similar problems ...

Cannot sync iphone or ipad with Lion
I upgraded to Lion today and it went fine on my Mac. I then did a sync with my iPhone and iPad. Nothing! I tried a second time. Again nothing! I went into the app store to update my apps on the iPad and got this message, "This App is incompatible with this iPad." What do I do now?
Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and all components as directed in here.?

Hi, I work for a software development company that does iOS apps. Once iOS7 beta came out I downloaded it. Both my iPhone and iPad are not synchronized with the developer ID but my personal ID, however, my two devices where registered with the developer ID from my company.
Now I'm getting the activation error and have no idea what to do, as there are really no options.
