Syncing iPhone on microsoft terminal server

Our corporate IT installed iTunes on our terminal server in order to be able to sync our iPhones with Microsoft Outlook on the terminal server. I can see in the device manager on the server that the iPhone is detected and forwarded to the terminal session as a Apple mobile device, but when I start iTunes on the terminal server, the iPhone is not detected by the iTunes software. What else do I have to do to be able to sync my iPhone in the terminal server session with Microsoft Outlook installed there?

Microsoft Terminal Server needs Cisco layer of authentication

We are running Microsoft terminal services. We connect to our main office using the Microsoft remote desktop client. We insert the fixed public IP address of our server in the remote desktop client. That remote desktop client then connects to terminal services and the user is queried for a user name and password. We would like to add a Cisco solution that would put an additional query for a Cisco device authenticated username and password before the Microsoft Terminal Server authentication box for user name and passwords appears...Seeking guidance on which Cisco hardware we could purchase for this purchase and what feature of that purchase would be configured to allow for accomplishment of security goal.

Lew: I suggest you post same question in Microsoft Forums.
I am not fully aware how microsoft server will query cisco auth server (ACS for example). But in microsoft forums they might be able to help better.
If they reply with something please share it with us here for general knowledge.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person struggling with exact issue. I've rebooted, upgraded, re-installed, pulled all my hair out as nothing works.
The biggest dissapointment with this thread is that nobody seems to have responded with a solution.
And yes I've managed to pull together enough intellegence to tick the box "sync to outlook" in iTunes - still nothing man.
Definately does not sync from phone to PC and is very hit and miss on PC to Phone. In other words now running 2 seperate calendars - Not helpful Jan.

Well as described in the topic. Is it possible to send emails from the iPhone, using another smtp server?
Why I need this?
Well, some people in our company have 2 separate Mail Accounts.
One for everything and one for the iPhone. They can then create rules by themself for which emails they want to be forwarded to their iPhone.
The problem is, when they answer using the iPhone, they would like their regular email address to appear, so that all mails still arrive at the regular mail account.
Can anyone help me?

Try this:
1. On your Exchange server that runs your active sync or outlook web access, open IIS
2. Right click on the website that contains exchange components and choose properties.
3. Select the "Directory Security" tab
4. Under "Secure Communications", click the "Edit" button
5. Under "Client Certificates", select "Ignore Client Certificates"
6. *IMPORTANT STEP: When you click ok and ok again, it may ask you whether you want to change other subfolders within the main container with the modifications you have just made, dont select any of these subfolders, just click OK. It is only the main properties you need to change. Those that need to inherit, should already inherit properly. If you select other subfolders to change with the modifications you have just made, it will likely ruin your active directory setup as some subfolders need different security settings to others.

Iphone and Microsoft Exchange server 2007.

We as a corporate company have many iphone users, and the iphone users are configured with our corporate microsoft exchange 2007 server. So the users use their iphones to check their corporate emails which is on microsoft exchange 2007. So they have setup a connection on their iphones to the company exchange server.
The issue we have is that the iphone users have issues with sending out email via the exchange email accounts on their iphones, when they send large emails, or emails with a long chains, When they send these emails the emails gets stuck in the outbox, and does not send out. The users then have to delete the content in the email, or make the email less in size and then it sends OK.
We have checked our exchange server and the settings seem ok, and we have contacted microsoft, and they have done some tests with a windows mobile emulator which acts like a mobile device, and there are no issues with sending email their. So they have asked me to contact Apple about any issues.
So has anyone come across this issue. Any suggestions.

Syncing iPhone 4 with Exchange Server

Is there any way to synch an iPhone 4 with an Exchange Server contact list and calendar without overwriting all iPhone contacts and calendar entries. In other words, "Can they be merged rather than overwritten?"

After an update of iTunes and the iOS, a good backup, and a leap of faith, I figured it out earlier this morning.
I had a bad experience when I first got my phone. I did the same thing, syncing with the exchange server and it overwrote all of my contacts and calendar items. It was a long three months trying to rebuild them all. I'm glad to see this option was opened to users choice.

If you created as an Exchange account on the iPhone (not IMAP or POP) and you have Push on it should all work smoothly; Reading a message on either client should mark the other read (it does on mine). Try deleting the account from the phone, rebooting the phone (to clear out old settings), then go to Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendar, add an account and tap Microsoft Exchange and add the account back.
There is a fundamental difference between BB and iPhone that you should be aware of; on the BB you do not sync directly with Exchange; you sync with the RIM server which then syncs with your Exchange server. The iPhone syncs directly with Exchange using Microsoft's ActiveSync protocol. So in some ways they will behave differently. But ActiveSync should manage marking messages as read correctly.

Can I get more than one account on iphone microsoft exchange server

I was trying to get more than one account on iphone microsoft exchange server for mail, but it seems to only accept one. Is this true with everyone else out there. I guess I am one of the few people with more than one email account that uses microsoft exchange. I would love to have the convience of accessing them through iphone mail but it seems that I will be forced to use safari for the other two by typing owa... in the url.

Yu can only have one Exchange Server account per device. This is true to iPhone and any Windows mobile device in the market. The work around is to set your other accounts that reside on an Exchange server using IMAP or POP settings as you used to do before the Version 2 update allowed you to sync directly to the Exchange Server. This methode will allow you to add as many accounts as you want or have.

Microsoft Exchange Server Active Sync issue

When I purchased my Droid Incredible I set up my account for my work email. My job uses Microsoft exchange server so I had no issues getting setup and started.
A week later my email stopped syncing. I deleted the account and set it up again. That temporarily fixes the problem. Another week passes and I have the same problem. I reset my phone and set up the my email account again. No issues until one week later when it does it again.
Unless I can find a solution to this problem I think this phone will have to be returned. Don't get me wrong, this phone is great but email is the reason I purchased this phone. There are 52 weeks in a year. I can't see myself resting my email account every week.
Any help would be appreciated!

I had the same problem when I first purchased the phone back in May. I had about 60,000.00 emails from the past 5 years in my main server at work that I had not deleted. My IT guy told me that I had to delete my old emails and that the INC works from the main server and I had way over the amount that I should have. I work for a very busy RE firm in NYC and we get about 150 emails a day, which ads up fast. Once I dld as he suggested the phone has not had one problem w/ outlook or syncing again. The Iphone works in the exact same way. BB's operate from their own server so are not as effected by this as much. The phone works great with outlook, and actually quicker and better than my BB. Emails for Current Day are not sync with Microsoft Exchange server

I have bought a Z1 and configured my microsoft exchange server email on it. All is working well. However it is only showing emails till yesterday. I have tried all sync settings including automatic, all, one day and all others but still it is not showing emails for current day. I have also tried all sort options but still no improvement.
The same setting are working perfectly fine on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. What is the issue and how to fix it? Please make sure i have purchased a new phone and would use the stock email app and no third party email app.
Already there is a downgrade in Z1 stock email app. It is not supporting formatted signatures and formatted outgoing emails. Which is now very common on all phones of its price and class.
What is Sony doing on its phones? i do not understand.
Please let me know how to fix my issue of most recent emails sync.

I have Citrix VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Implemented
in my company and installed few Applications on App Server lets say.... MS Office 2013, filzialla, putty, etc...
I assigned these apps to the users through CITRIX STUDIO, when I try to use these apps. on VDI everything is working fine only when i tried to open Word, Excel or Powerpoing, outlook it throws error as

As mentioned in ths article below, run for Office 365 products on to a Remote Desktop Session Host server is not supported. You can install Office products for Office 365 to a virtual desktop, but the virtual desktop must be assigned to a single user.
