Syncing iPhone to MS Outlook Offline

All,
I am trying to sync my iphone to my corporate email server however, this is not support/allowed by my employer and the server is behind a VPN which is not accessible using the iphones VPN function (it is a Contivity VPN server). Is there a way for me to simply perform a local synch between my PC and iPhone so that i can read my emails on my iPhone when away from my computer? I don't care so much if my email updates on the iPhone when away from my computer but I would like to be able to read emails during long metro rides.
Thanks in advance
Barry

You cannot sync email over a cable; it can only be done over the air. One option is to create a gmail account and forward your Exchange email to it (if your IT dept. will let you do that). Gmail also has a way to reply to forwarded email so it looks like it came from your Exchange account.

How do I sync iphone 4s with outlook 2013?

Synchronization of calendars between Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and your Apple iPhone or iPod touch requires Apple iTunes. You can configure which items are synchronized during a one-time set up process. Good luck with your Mac!
After the initial setup, each time that you connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer, the changes made on your computer or device are synchronized.
Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer using the cable provided with your device or by placing the iPhone or iPod touch in the Apple Universal Dock.
iTunes opens automatically when connected to your computer.
In iTunes, in the source list, under Devices, click the entry for your iPhone or iPod touch.
    Click the Info tab.
Under Calendars, click Sync calendars from, and then click Outlook.
    Do one of the following:
To synchronize all calendars, click All calendars.
To limit the calendars that are synchronized, click Selected calendars, and then click the calendars you want to synchronize.
NOTE   To select multiple calendars, press CTRL as you click each calendar name.
    Click Apply.

  • Can you Sync iPhone 5 with Outlook 2013

Can you sync iPhone 5 with Outlook 2013? Everything mail, contacts and calender.

    Hey Mark
    I'm Michael and I work for connex.io.
We were also constantly having problems with our address books, so we decided to build our own solution. connex.io is a service that syncs two-ways between all of your devices and services. It also de-duplicates, cleans completes and automatically updates your address books on all of those devices. So whenever you make a change on any of them, it automatically gets changed everywhere. So you only have to connect your address books once, and you will have your contacts always with you. No need to connect your device to your computer or sync manually.
If you want to check it out: www.connex.io or you can send me an e-mail if you would like some more info: [email protected]
I hope this helps you out.

    yes, I checked.
You know what the configuration file for this setting? It all started when I replaced the folder "Office 2011 Identities" with that of the old MAC!
In fact, if I create a new account everything returns to normal but I need to work with my account!

  • Outlook Calendar Sync Issue "Microsoft Office Outlook Offline Folders"

I am experiencing an issue synchronizing my Outlook Calendar with my iPhone. I am using the latest version of Itunes (7.6.2.9).
    To reproduce:
    1) Sync Outlook calendar with Iphone.
In Outlook, the following error displays:
    "Microsoft Office Outlook Offline Folders"
"The file C:\Documents and Settings\<name>\Local Settings\Application Data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.ost is in use and could not be accessed. Close any application that is using the file, and then try again."
At this point, in order to view any mail or calendar entries, I am required to reboot my computer and relaunch Outlook. I had to disable synchronization with the iphone.
I followed the troubleshooting Calendars hints from the Support site, and I clicked "Reset Sync History." This seems to have temporarily fixed the problem, but I am not confident I won't receive the error again.
Is there a permanent fix for this?

This may be more than a temporary fix, so I would wait and cross that bridge if and when the same error message turns up.

Anyone having issues syncing iPhone 3GS with Microsoft Outlook 2007?  iTunes says it is syncing but it will not update calendar or contacts.  It just stopped working a few weeks ago.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person struggling with exact issue.  I've rebooted, upgraded, re-installed, pulled all my hair out as nothing works.
The biggest dissapointment with this thread is that nobody seems to have responded with a solution.
And yes I've managed to pull together enough intellegence to tick the box "sync to outlook" in iTunes - still nothing man.
Definately does not sync from phone to PC and is very hit and miss on PC to Phone.  In other words now running 2 seperate calendars - Not helpful Jan.

  • Sync iPhone 4S without outlook 2010

How can I sync my iPhone 4S with Outlook 2010 calendar?

Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the calendars section).  Make sure you have chosed your Outlook calendar as your default calendar on your iPhone (and not, for example, the one under On My iPhone).  Then add an event on your iPhone calendar and see if it syncs to Outlook properly.

  • Syncing iPhone 4 with Outlook & getting Duplicates Contacts

I am syncing an iPhone 4 using a PC with 2003 outlook. Problem is that some of my contacts are showing duplicates on the iPhone when there are no duplicates in outlook. I have tried several things that have been suggested by others including wiping out contacts on the phone. Deleting all by archived PST files, creating a new PST file and deleting the original. What is perplexing is that if I delete one of the two duplicates off of the iPhone then when syncing it takes the original only copy off of the PC in outlook. Driving me crazy. iPhone & iTunes are up to date as of last night.
    Thanks

Update, it looks to be sync'ing, just not with my folders.  So I deleted the 4,000 blank vCards.
There is another twist to this that I had not mentioned.  My folders were erased on my iPhone thanks to a Google/Gmail contacts sync.  However, my folders are still very much intact on Outlook.  In fact, that's how I noticed it was actually sync'ing.  I added four new contacts yesterday to my iPhone, and all four showed up in the folder I set up for "Outlook folder to add new items to:" via Sync Services.
So it syncs with THAT folder.  : )
So how do I get it to sync my folders from Outlook to my iPhone?
I'm thinking of exporting from Outlook to Address Book.  If I export that would give me a back up copy.  Delete contacts in Address Book (if that's simple to do), then importing from the Outlook file...sync.  Maybe?

  • Sync iphone calendar with outlook 2010

Having a bit of trouble getting this to work. It's on the bosses PC so I don't have much time at his PC to troubleshoot.
Running Windows 7 and outlook 2010 (all updated) POP account , hosted by godaddy
Everything sync's fine except calendar appointments from the iPhone 4 to Outlook.
I am currently loading outlook on my PC to recreate the problem and/or find a solution.
He says it used to work, but when iOS 5 came out, it got broken a few months ago
I did find some articles about loading the iCloud control panel to adjust settings on the calendar sync, so that's the first step.
We also discussed a real Exchange account, but that is not in the budget for now. (hosted email) it would solve other problems too.
any help would be appreciated. forgive me if this have been solved before, I haven't found anythin recent on the search.
    Thanks

iCloud control panel seemed to fix this issue. Now I have to figure out how to merge all the new iphone calendars showing up in outlook

  • How to Sync iPhone 4s with Outlook 2013 (64-bit)

I used to sync my iPhone 4s with Outlook 2013 (32-bit) with no problems at all.  I have changed ove to the 64-bit Outlook for reasons I do not need to mention here.  I am now unable to set up to sync with Calendars, Notes and Tasks.
When I setup to sync using iCloud Contro panel, the setup runsa dn advises that it HAS been set up innOutlook.  But in Outlook, there is no relevant tab or folder (as was the case in Outlook 2013 32-bit).
The Outlook for iCloud add-in is present in Outlook and there are no error messages.
I believe( from a Microsoft forum) that this may be because Microsoft moved the registry location of Outlook's mail profiles for Outlook 2013.  They used to be under HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Windows Messaging Subsystem/Profiles but now they're under HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Office/15.0/Outlook/Profiles. Apparently this is to provide the ability to have multiple versions of Outlook installed.  I suspect that the iCloud provider does not take this into consideration yet and that Apple will have to address it.
Am I correct? or is there a way to get the sync to work?

Yes, I removed iCloud add-on from Outlook; and uninstalled iCloud.  I then re-installed, and sync would not work (no tab for sync in Outlook either). There was no improvement.
However, since reading your post, I have just tried signing out of icloud control panel and signing in again....and now all si working as it should.  Weird!!
    Thanks for your assistance.
