Syncing iphone4s and ipad 2

Hi guys, i'm trying to sync my pictures from my iphone to my ipad. Both have the same icloud address The pictures from my ipad seem to be arriving on my iphone but not the other way around?

In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:
1'st step is to go into the device manager
2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)
3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers
4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.

Finally figured it out...
1) Open mail/compose notes on your macbook...
2) copy and paste every note from Outlook to a new note in Mail.
3) Open iTunes. In Info/Advanced tick Notes. This will replace / copy all Notes from Mail to your iPhone...
4) Voila! Notes are on iPhone...
I must say in spite of all the fabulous advantages of a Macbook and an iPhone, syncing really does suck...
Transferring data from another smartphone to a Mac or an iPhone is tough...
Features like "one way / two way" sync for Phone / computer or allowing us to select which whose, phone or computer, will be considered more important so that you can choose whose data will overwrite the other, are not there in iTunes... This is something which really needs to be there...
Anyways... problem solved for now...

I am having the same problem. Did turning off iCloud work? Did you just turn everything off or did you actually delete the account off your iPod?

Have you tried re-booting your WiFi router ? It may seem OK on your PC, but a re-boot may help.

I recommend to check www.icloud.com, are your contacts shown there?
If not -> Something might be not set up correctly on you iOS devices.
Also.. Simple but maybe occuring: Contacts -> Preferences -> Accounts -> iCloud is enabled? (Should be by default if you have iCloud setup via the system preferences, but you never know..)

I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2 which I sync to the same iTunes on my home PC. Every time I connect my iPhone to my iTunes, it invariably gets synced with whatever apps, music, movies and books which I synced to my iPad 2. How do I configure my iTunes in such a way that I sync different sets of apps, movies, music, etc. to both my iPhone and iPad? Thank you.

Is it possible to sync my iPhone and iPad to my Mac Book Pro and have the same screens and apps? I see where all apps appear in my iPad syncing window, but I cannot make it exactly like my iPhone... Is this possible? Thank you!

Hi Kristi,
Connect your iPad and your iPhone to your MBPro. Launch iTunes. Under Devices on the left side of the iTunes window you can select either device then select Apps from the menu.
You can drag home screens and rearrange apps right from that window. Very smart idea on your part to do that. That way it's the same (or close to) on both devices.

See from communities question that I'm not the only one, but don't seem to be able to find solution posted anywhere.
It's really annoying cos now ipad, iphone and outlook are all saying they don't match appointments and contacts - aaaarrrgghhhh!

Here is the solution.
Rationale: You want to be able to have the dates on your items (notes, contacts) on your iphone to be the same as on outlook. This will eliminate any sync conflicts. You will also notice that if you modify something on the iphone and sync, you will lose the modification you made.
Steps:
1) In outlook, export the data (contacts, notes) to a CSV file
2) Delete you notes/contacts in outlook
3) Sync your iphone and select replace information on this iPhone (in iTunes)
4) Now your contacts and notes will be empty on both your iPhone and Outlook
5) Now import your contacts and notes from the CSV files back into outlook. What this does is put the current date and time on every individual item
6) Sync your iPhone to iTunes normally
7) everything will work correctly now with no sync issues and no conflicts.

ICloud syncing iPhones and iPad but not to iCloud nor my Mac

I have two iPhones, an iPad and two MacBooks. iCloud is used for syncing the content. This all works ok, except for the Address book. Address book content is synced only between the iDevices but neither to the iCloud Web-Portal nor to my Macs. This is very puzzling because I thought all the synchronization is done through iCloud, so how can the iCloud Portal and my Macs be left out. Especially given the fact, that the calendar sync works perfectly.
Here's what I did to verify:
- create a new address record named "test iPhone" on my iPhone. The record shows up on my iPad, but not in the web and not on my Macs
- create a new address record named "test iPad" on my iPad. The record show up on my iPhone, but not on the web and not on my Macs.
- create a new address record named "test Mac" on my Mac. The record shows up in the web and on my iDevices
- create a new address record named "test Web" via iCloud web interface. The record shows up on my Macs, but not on the iDevices
any ideas?

You can have each individual service turned on or off, so while you may not be using 2 iCloud accounts, it is perfectly possible to use 2 accounts and get exactly the results you are getting.
Why don't you look to see if you are using 2 accounts, you could check settings > mail, contacts and calendars on your phone and iPad or just look at the contacts app.

Trouble syncing iphone5 and ipad now that I have Yose

Help please. I just upgraded to Yosemite on my MacBook pro not realizing that I would need iOS8 on my iPhone 5 and ipad in order to sync through the cloud. I can't download iOS8 on my phone because there isn't enough storage. I did clear off as much stuff off my phone as I could and still don't have enough space. Need 3 GB more. This iPhone is new. I don't want to buy a new phone. How can I go back to Mavericks? Or how can I go forward?

If you are having an issue with updating your iPhone's operating system over the air because of a lack of memory space, you may want to use iTunes to do the update instead. This does not use nearly as much space on the iPhone as an over the air update. See this article for how -

Specifically -
Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
Plug in your device to your computer.
In iTunes, select your device.
In the Summary pane, click Check for Update.
Click Download and Update.

The best bet would be to use iCloud backup to "restore" the iPad. First you will need to backup the iPhone:

How to Restore
To restore from an iCloud backup, you must have a valid iCloud backup to restore from. Your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) must be in the Setup Assistant, which is available when you first set up your iOS device, or immediately after erasing all content and settings on an iOS device. The basic steps to restore are as follows:
After proceeding through the initial, basic setup steps (such as choosing a language and joining a Wi-Fi network, you will be given several options in the Setup iPhone (or, iPad or iPod touch) screen. Choose Restore from iCloud Backup, and tap Next.

The username and passwords for any additional Internet accounts you configured while backing up, such as Microsoft Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo, or any number of third-party email or Internet services you were using.
You can continue to use your iOS normally during the background restore, though it is advisable to have it on a Wi-Fi network for the best performance.
