Syncing iPod and iCal: iTunes says no calanders?
Whenever i try to sync my calanders to my iPod from iTunes, it says that i don't have any calanders. Is there a way i can reset iTunes to find my calanders?

IPod 30GB Problems with iTunes 9; Will not sync iPod and freezes iTunes
Since I have updated to iTunes 9 on windows xp (and more recently iTunes 9.0.1) I have not been able to sync my 5th generation iPod 30gb.
What happens when I connect my ipod is that iTunes will instantly freeze and not allow me to do anything on it, but I am able to open other windows just not iTunes. After about 10 minutes iTunes will unfreeze briefly and claim to be syncing my iPod. Eventually after a further 10 minutes I am greeted with a message saying:
"The ipod 'HARRY'S iPOD" cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (-50)."

Also when I try to access my iPod through the window's explorer, when I try to enter any files I get the message "Please insert a disc into drive F:" followed by "F:\ Photos is not accesible. The parameter is incorrect"
I have no problems synicng my iPod Nano 4th Generation 16gb.
I've tried to revert to iTunes 8 after uninstalling iTunes 9 but when I do it wont let me open it saying it cannot read the file "Itunes Library.lib"
Does anyone have a clue where the problem is? And better still how to fix it?

Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.

i forgot my password to sign on my ipod and now it says ipod is disabled please connect to itunes. however, it wont letme pass that screen. how do i reboot this ipod?
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I am having a problen syncing my 80gb Ipod to my library. Its been syncing for over 24 hours. I have reset the Ipod and reinstalled Itunes. I am running windows 7 ,6gb of ram.Nothing seem to help. It take 2 miniutes to copy one song(very slow)

Managed to get my ipod restored to factory settings (yay!) However then it was being recognised in windows but not in itunes.......to solve this I referred back to Apples excellent troubleshooting guide. Installed the lastest version of itunes.....and there we go! We have a working ipod! I am so delighted and no longer on the verge of tears! (I so thought I had completely banjaxed my brand new ipod!)

my ipod & itunes are fully up-to-date with 4.2.1 for ipod and the itunes 11.0.1 and every app (ex facebook & ice cream jump says i need 4.3 version but when i click all updates say its all up to date. I have tryed restoring it 4 times to factory as well. my iPod appeared to be dead, i plugged it into my computer to charge and it said it needed to be restored. it updated it and now is stuck and my itunes says "waiting for iPod" and has been this way for hours. i've tried to hold down the home and power button and nothing happens!! my computere and itunes recognizes the iPod, but the iPod its self is completely unresponsive!! and helpoful hints?

Have IPOD and partners Itunes - how to use it for me?
I am not good with technology and easily confused! I have an old IPOD that is full with about 2000 of my songs. We have moved overseas and I use my partners computer. He has Itunes installed with all his IPOD details on it.
My question is - how do I get all my info on it so I can edit my songs, put new downloads on etc. At the moment I am listening to the same stuff i loaded on 4 yrs ago when I got the IPOD and it drives me mad.

One solution is to copy all the music currently on your iPod to your partner's computer and then restore the ipod through iTunes and resync all the old music back to it as well as the new music. This way, you can update the ipod with new songs and play counts and such.
You could even create an entire new empty library for just your Tunes on his computer. Instructions on how to do this can be found in this Apple support document, which actually provides several methods on how to manage multiple iPods with one computer.

As to how to copy music from your iPod to the computer, there are several ways you can accomplish this. I'm trying to restore my iPod and the update says it's going to take 9 hours and then after 2 hours or less it will say something about "unable to finish update." Why is this?? My iPod is a 3rd generation that I got from my brother and even when I download an app that doesn't require my iPod to be an iOs 4.3, it will download, but it won't open.

Done all of the above...everything is in order, still cannot connect to the store. I have the 5th gen iPod and $50 iTunes gift card that I cannot use(been trying now for 6 days). I am going to return both of these items if I cannot find a fix for this.When I called Apple (after wating 42 min. for a live person) I was told to run the APPLE Software Update and turn off location services then restart my computer. There were no available updates. The iPod touch I got on Christmas day. The iTunes app was downloaded the same day. Since day 1 I have not been able to connect. After restarting my computer:
From the iTunes app I click on the 'iTunes Store'
A new window opens and I get the following message:
This Apple ID has not yet veen used with the iTunes Store.
Please review your account information
So I click on 'Review' and am taken to a crude screen that says
Welcome to the iTunes Store

To begin creating your Apple ID, click Continue.
So I click on 'Continue'
A pop up window says:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-1202).
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.
And the only option I am left with is to click 'OK'
After every fix this same scenerio just loops and loops and loops -
I'm trying to sync the calendar from my phone on the my new mac. the "sync calendars" blurb in iTunes says, "your calendars are being synced with your iPhone over the air from iCloud".. not nothing is happening. what to do? what to do?
or even better on mac sign into icloud with same apple id under system preferences and icloud

I am so sorry I am frustrating you. This is the first time I have used this community and am leanring as I go. I am not able to see the entire post that you leave, unless I look at it on my phone (email)--I am so sorry. You have no idea how much i appreciate your help. Yes, I see that I can get the later version of OS software, but its not availabe for immediate download. My only options appear to be having it shipped, or going to the store to purchase. And if you know of another way that I can access all of my itunes library music on my new phone withouth using itunes, I would love to hear about it.--thanks and again i am so sorry for frustrating you.
