Syncing issues - "not more than 5 iTunes accounts"

I just received, activated and synched my new iPhone4. Activation was a breeze, but when I tried copying music and a couple of movies from my iTunes library, I got the message:
"Some of the iTunes Store files in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPhone because the iPhone may only contain content from five iTunes Store accounts."
I ran the Track Down Purchases script (from Doug's Scripts) on my entire library, which revealed one song from a sixth account that I then deleted. I re-synched but got the same message as above. Quitting out of iTunes and then re-launching made no difference. Short of looking at each song individually, is there another approach for showing account ownership of purchased iTunes music that might reveal additional problem songs?
Also, does anyone know a way to show which account purchased which songs in my iPhone library? The Track Down Purchases script works only my computer's iTunes library, not the iPhone's (or iPod's).

I did that with my 3GS before ever starting the activation process for the 4, having gotten the not-all-your-iPhone-purchases-are-in-your-library message when I did one last backup of the 3GS. I then activated the 4, synched, got the 5 accounts message, ran Doug's script, deleted the song, and re-ran the script with no additional accounts showing up (though I can't remember if the second pass-through was before or after re-launching iTunes).
Weirdly, when I later tried to erase my 3GS, I again got the message that not all the songs purchased on my 3GS were in my iTunes library. I did the file->transfer purchases two more times and kept getting the not-transferred message and finally just erased the thing.

Can I have in one iphone 5 music from more than one itunes accounts?  My daughter and I have our music in the same pc. She and I have iTunes accounts. I have not been able to load in my ophone with my itunes acct music that she purchased in her account.  I have not been able to do this. Thanks

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

  • Hi, can anyone tell me if I can have more than one iTunes account on the same PC. I've just bought my wife an iPad2 and want to create a separate account for her. Can I do that on the same PC as mine?

Hi, can anyone tell me if I can have more than one iTunes account on the same PC. I've just bought my wife an iPad2 and want to create a separate account for her. Can I do that on the same PC as mine? Thanks.

I would advise that you not set up a second Apple ID. It's really not necessary - having two Apple IDs won't affect how iTunes works with your iPads - and will just complicate matters. Each iPad will be treated independently and can be set to sync only the items you want on that particular iPad. If you really want to keep the two iPads separate, set up different iTunes libraries and have only those items you want on the related iPad in that library, rather than a different Apple ID. If you plan not to use a computer and just download directly to the iPads, you can again choose what apps and content each iPad gets.
But answering your specific question, you can have content from up to five iTunes Store accounts on any one computer or iPad. To create a new iTunes Store account, you'll need a different email address, and from there you just create the account the same way you did the first one.
    Regards.

  • Can I register more than one iTunes account on my Apple TV

Hi all, am I able to set up more than one iTunes account on my Apple TV? My flatmate and I have different files on our computers, so we'd like to have both of our stuff on Apple TV. Is there a way that we can either register both of us or just switch between the users?
    Thanks

Your question states that you already have an tv, so I'll restrict the answer to the current model only. You also ask if you can both have stuff ON the tv, from which I then assume you are asking if you can sync from both computers to the tv which you can't.
Only one computer can provide the primary library and sync content to an tv, you can of course set the other computer up to provide a secondary library and stream content to the tv from it when it is on with itunes running.

  • Can I use more than one iTunes account on my apple TV

We just purchased our AppleTV and my wife wanted to use her Mac and her iTunes account to listen to music when I am at work. I setup the AppleTV using my iTunes account. Can I use more than one iTunes account on my apple TV?

You can have both libraries available to the Apple TV at the same time. As I say the key is understanding your iTunes account ID and your homesharing ID are different things (although there is nothing stopping you using one of your iTunes account ID's as the homesharing ID - I do that)
You need to make sure that the ID and password you use on both libraries and the Apple TV are all the same.
Also, no need to apologise, the wrong thing to do is not ask and suffer in silence.

  • Can a PC have more than one iTunes account on it?

Can a home PC have more than one iTunes account on it?  What happens if I log into my iTunes account on someone else's PC?  I don't have access to my own PC and want to download more music onto my gear.

    1. Yes. Use separate user accounts on the computer; if desired, you can instead launch iTunes with the Shift key held down and create a new iTunes library, but this won't have separate preferences.
    2. Nothing will happen to the existing content. If you're syncing an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, click here.

  • Can I use more than one itunes account on apple tv?

I live in a household with more than one iTunes accounts.  Is it possible for Apple Tv to have more than one iTunes account set up?  We have 2 Macs with 2 separate iTunes accounts.

you can enter information for only one iTunes account on TV.
however, as long as home sharing is set up properly, you can stream content purchased with up to five Apple ID's to TV.

  • Can I have more than one itunes account on my apple tv?

Can I have more than one itunes account on my apple tv?  We have two accounts in our family and would like to be able to switch between them.

Thank you.  What I was really trying to find out is if there is a limit on switching iTunes accounts - I have a vague memory of reading that changing from one iTunes store account to another was going to be limited in some way, but maybe this is on iTunes itself?  Or perhaps my memory is incorrect?   We have two iTunes accounts and swap back and forth regularly on our iPhones and iPads to buy and update apps without a problem.  I couldn't find any reference to it on a quick search yesterday so what I have done with the AppleTV is leave it set to one account, and we watched the other account content via my Macbook.

  • Can I use more than one iTunes account with my apple TV?

Can I use more than one iTunes account with my apple TV?

That depends what you mean. If you mean can you purchase from more than one iTunes account on the Apple TV, then the answer is no. If you mean can you stream from more than one iTunes library, which use different accounts, then the answer is yes, so long as they both use the same ID and password for homesharing.

  • Can you have more than one iTunes account with home sharing, Can you have more than one iTunes account with home sharing

Can you have more than one itunes account at one time with apple tv

My understanding is that the home sharing is based off of being on the same Wifi.  So if someone brings their laptop to your house and connects to your Wifi and they have home sharing on they can connect so you can see his/her iTunes library on your iTunes.
I haven't tried this though.  We have two laptops at home, both using my iTunes account and I can see each other's iTunes library, which I'm guessing is what you're probably doing now.  I'd be interested to know if my thought above is true.

  • My itunes library has organically grown from more than one itunes account but all now on a separate computer.  If I upgrade to iTunes match will I have to pay for each account?

My itunes library has organically grown from more than one itunes account (all paid for by me) but all now on a separate computer.  If I upgrade to iTunes match will I have to pay for each account or just once, for the computer?

No.  Provided the computer that you use to upload / match your Songs is authorised to play all of the Songs all works well - once complete you can download Song files that will play on your libraries / other computers without each computer having to be authorised.
