Syncing mobile phones on C510i

Hi there, the phone that my employer gave me has the option to save varios mobile phone types to each one of your contacts, such as "mobile", "work mobile", "personal mobile".  Although they get syncronized with my iMac's address book they don't show the appropriate tag in Address Book, only the "mobile" the other two show "other" in Address Book, does anybody know what to do to appropriately tag each one?
The phone is a Sony Ericsson C510i.
Thanks in advance.
Jorge...

I have tried everything.  I can sync one of 2 accounts, irregardless of how many time I uninstall, etc....
I also got a "date source/date folder can no longer be foudn"-- Something along the lines of that, I don't have the exact error message.
any help would be great.

  • How do I use Active Sync to view SharePoint Lists (Contacts and Calendars) on a Mobile Phone?

We are attempting to use SharePoint 2010 in combination with Exchange 2010 to implement shared calendars and contact lists throughout our organization.  We are able to connect the lists to Outlook 2010, but have been unsuccessful in viewing
the calendars and contact lists from our mobile phones.  How do we use Active Sync to view SharePoint Lists (Contacts and Calendars) on a Mobile Phone?
In trying to answer this question, we have come across a few different possibilities, all of them falling just short of a long term solution for us.  After doing research, we found that Active Sync will only show the default folders of the account.  To
solve this, we downloaded an Add-In for Outlook (CodeTwo FolderSync) to synchronize folders and synchronized our SharePoint list with a new Contact list in the default folder.  The issue we came across with this method is that the Add-In we are using
is not capable of automatic synchronization.  There is a button and it must be clicked after every update is made, which is not ideal for our solution.  We then went to the company (CodeTwo) and found server side software (Exchange Sync) that they
offer which will automatically synchronize the folders.  After installing that on the Exchange Server, we now are running into the issue of not being able to locate the SharePoint lists on the Exchange Server.
Does anyone happen to know how we can get to the SharePoint lists from the Exchange Server?  Has anyone else been able to use shared contacts lists and calendars from SharePoint on their mobile phones using Active Sync?  If so, are we in the right
direction with what we have found so far?
    Thanks,
    Brad

You cannot use ActiveSync for that, but there are SharePoint clients for the iPhone. Windows Mobile 7 natively supports SharePoint with SharePoint Workspace Mobile, part of Microsoft Office Mobile. Android and BlackBerry might also have some apps.

Thanks for the reply.  I already have this info, but have spent several hours trying to cross reference with the product descriptions and the different carriers websites.  I was hoping there was an easier way.

    Hi Yatskan,
Hopefully I may have a suggestion that will work...
Try clicking on Start, Run and type in the following:
    Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll and hit enter
Then try synchronising just your calendar on its own... if that works, great. If it doesn't, try adding a dummy calendar entry to your phone and then try the sync again.
Also, make sure the keypad on your phone is not locked when you do the sync or the phone will not be able to respond.
Let me know how you get on.

  • Whats the best mobile phone for syncing to macbook?

I am about to buy a mobile phone and i want to know which one is the best, for ease of connection?

Personally, I would recommend any of the later Sony Ericsson models. Either the K800 or K610 (supported in iSync 2.4), or any of the additional models supported by iSync Phone Plugins from here.
You can see what data is synced on the page linked above. You can also use them with the Mac Address Book for SMS and Calls.

  • Having trouble syncing my mobile phone, adding a device, with firefox 4.o where do you find "add a device"?

Where do you find the "add a device" option in firefox 4.0 so that you can sync your mobile phone to your desktop?

Maybe I am missing something here, but I don't see a toolbar like that on my 4.0 version. I had already seen the help information. Thanks. I thought perhaps those were the directions for version 3.0? Am I missing a toolbar?

  • Compatible Mobile Phones and Syncing software for Entourage

Is there any mobile phones out there in Australia that have compatability with OS 10.5 and can sync with Entourage?

    Hi, Philip.
Apple's list of iSync-compatible devices is the list as far as I know. It's unclear to me what you mean by "give text messaging via Address Book."
There are a couple things I can suggest to help you find more information:
    1. If there's a specific Motorola phone you're considering, post to the iSync Discussion requesting feedback on the specific functions in question from owners of that specific model phone. The iSync Discussion is the best venue for your question.
    2. One can often download the user's guide or manual for a phone from the manufacturer's Web site. I did that recently from both Nokia's and Motorola's Web sites when I was comparing phones. You might find the specific information you're looking for in the phone's manual.
    3. Contact the phone manufacturer, e.g. e-mail Motorola via their links under "Customer Support" for the UK with your specific questions.
    Good luck!

  • Can't sync bluetooth mobile phone with wireless keyboard or mouse

    Hi,
I can't sync my mobile phone (K750) when I am working with my wireless keyboard and my wireless mighty mouse.
When I start the sync progress I loose contact to my mouse & keyboard....the sync progress starts with the mobile phone, but after transferring some data it also looses contact to the phone, so the sync interrupts. After some seconds I get back in contact to my mouse & keyboard.
When I turn off my wireless mouse & keyboard and I am using a wired keyboard & mouse instead everything is working fine!
    Any ideas????
    Many greetings,

  • Mobile Phones can only Sync with one Library?

Sup all. My current mobile phone is Rokr E1 (the first phone with iTunes), hence I'm exposed to iTunes. The problem lies here. I had this library full of songs. However, recently I changed my com and accidentally lose everything(songs, pictures, videos,etc.). After getting my new com, I downloaded back iTunes and continued adding songs into my phone, but to no avail.
They tell me that a Mobile Phone can only be Sync-ed with one Library at a time, and that all my songs in my phone will be replaced by the songs in my new library (which there is none) if i adhered to it. In other words, I cant add new songs into my Phone without my old Library, but I lost my old Library. Any Ideas how to continue adding songs into my Phone? Thanks. Great Helps Appreciated. =)

Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time.  If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library.  If all the content that is on your iPod is in iTunes, there shouldn't be a problem. Just go ahead and sync your iPod
Otherwise, you are probably wanting to copy everything from your iPod back to your PC first. If that is the case, you should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabilng the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else,  authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account.  In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc.  For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases.  For all other nonpurchased iTunes content, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering different software availbable to assist you with this task.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2452022?start=0&tstart=0
Once the backup has been made and all other synced content such as music, videos, and photos are back in your iTunes library, restore your iPod from that backup you made earlier.  Here is more on backing up and restoring your iPod.

  • Mobile phone sync

I would like to tell me how am I going to set up my Mac Book bluetooth in order to get my contacts from my mobile phone! I did it once and it synchronized the mobile phone,ie erased my contacts while the mac book did not have any contact.
The contacts should be at a particular coding while it is in Greek menu (Sony ericsson k700i)
Mac Book dual Mac OS X (10.4.9)
    Mac Book
Mac Book   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

This is really a question for the iSync forum...
Ideally, you should start with your Mac Address Book fully up-to-date with all your Contact data in it.
If it is not, then you will have to transfer your phones Contacts to the Mac Address Book:
    1) Make sure your Mac & Phone are paired, by going through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, from the Bluetooth preferences pane.
    2) Then, in your phone, access the Contacts list and choose "More > options > Advanced > Send all contacts > Via Bluetooth"
    3) This will send all your Contact data from the phone to your Mac as a vCard.
    4) Double-click on the vCard on the Mac to import all your Contacts into the Mac Address Book.
    5) Make sure all your Address Book data is exactly as you want it.
    6) Choose "Back up Address Book..." from the "File" menu
Now you need to set-up iSync to synchronise the data from Address Book and iCal to your phone.
When syncing for the first time, it is best to start with an empty phone. So delete all the data in your phone (it was backed up on your Mac in Step (6) above). Then choose to "overwrite" on First sync in iSync, rather than "merge".
