Syncing mobileme calendar beta on the iPad

Anyone else having a problem with selective syncing using the Calendar beta? Whatever I do only 7 of my 8 calendars show up on my ipad - the others refresh promptly. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the CalDAV following the instructions - i've tried turning on and off fetch/push settings. The calendar is called "important" so not having it show up is a bit of a pain...

CAN you send an invite and open a ics file to accept the invite.
I cant for the life of me.

1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

IPad won't sync: iTunes could not backup the iPad because a session-

I can no longer sync an iPad with iTunes. Each time I try, I get the following error dialog from iTunes:
iTunes could not back up the iPad "Name of iPad" because a session could not be started with the iPad.
I'm using iTunes 10.1 (54) on Mac OS X 10.6.5 Build 10H574, iPad WiFi + 3G running iOS 4.2.1 (8C148). iPad sync settings: Manually manage music and videos, address book/iCal/email/bookmarks all done via MobileMe, Sync Apps yes, Sync Music no, Sync Movies no, Sync TV Shows no, Sync Podcasts no, Sync iTunes U no, Sync Books no, Sync photos from iPhoto no.
I'm looking for a fix that will respect the app sync settings and not force all the unchecked apps from my computer back to the iPad. Suggestions appreciated!

So typically I don't reply, or post comments on forums but seeing as how the 4.3 update has screwed up syncing with the iPad, I thought i'd share what I just went through for the last 4.5 hrs!!!
So finally did the update on 5/24/11...everything was great, until I tried to add movies to my iPad... had the same error about not backing up the iPad beacause a session...so I went and deleted the photo cache....did nothing.
Then I found another post stating to try and "close" any apps running in the background (double clicking on the home button and pressing the minus) that apparently worked for some....NOT ME
SO THEN, I saw another post about turning the iPad off and the back on...guess what happened when I did that?!?!?! Ohh it got STUCK in the little thinking mode..you know after you swipe to power off...the little circle icon...stayed like that for 30 min...so I found another post saying that I needed to restore my iPad...umm lil prob COULDN'T CONNECT W IT LIKE THAT!!! So then i decided to hard reboot it (hold down the home button and the lock button on top) that at least stopped the thinking thing and brought my iPad back up
So I tried to sync again...NOW i was getting the error message of this iPad is already synced to another iTunes library...only given option of cancel or erase and sync?!?!? ***?? NO IT ISN'T LAST BACK UP WAS LAST WEEK AFTER I DID THE STUPID 4.3 UPDATE!!!!
FINALLY-I unchecked syncing movies...and synced my iPad...finally worked with no errors....double checked the backupdate(edit>iTunes preferences>devices and had today!!! So i thought well whatever it was backed up today if it erases and syncs all the info will be the same...will prob take an hour to re-sync all my apps, music, and movies...but at least it will be done.
AND VIOLA!!! IT WORKED...AND I DON'T BELIEVE THAT IT DID ERASE BC WATCHING THE STATUS BAR IN ITUNES IT ONLY SHOWED THAT IT ADDED MY MOVIES!!!

ITunes 11.0.2 crashes each time i try running/syncing app after connecting to the iPad mini.

So after the update, I tried accessing my iPad apps using iTunes to put in some PDFs into the Adobe Reader app. Each time I pressed on the app, iTune freezes and crashed. I have never experienced this before and my iphone 4, still on iOS 6.1.2 is still able to load the apps perfectly with iTunes.
I have tried installing/uninstalling iTunes. Deleted the music/playlists in my iTunes folder. Restoring my iPad to previous backup.
But all have failed.
Is anyone experiencing the same problem or had this problem before? Please provide me some suggestions/help because it's getting really annoying being unable to load/sync my apps.

I have tried reseting the ipad as well but it didn't help. iTunes still crash each time i tried syncing the apps.
I authorized my friend's laptop to sync things into my iPad and it worked. I think the problem is with my computer but I dont know what went wrong because I never had this problem before.
I also did sfc/scannow with cmd but doesn't seem to solve the problem.
Any more ideas?

I very recently bought an iPad 2 for my wife. She tried to do some online shopping and couldn't get past the checkout screen. Poor girl tried all day and was so frustrated when I came home. I told her to use my PC laptop and she was done in minutes. I went to the local Apple Store and their advice was to disconnect and reconnect the iPad WIFI connection. And to update the iPad. I sync'd to iTunes and couldn't figure out how to search for updates. Does syncing automatically do the updating?

No - to update the operating system (iOS) on the iPad connect it your computer's iTunes, and in iTunes select the Device on the left-hand side, and on the summary tab click 'Check for Updates'. The current version is 4.3.3 - you can tell which version your iPad has by looking at the Version field in Settings > General > About on the iPad (the bit in brackets is just the build number of the iOS release); the iPad's current iOS version is also shown on the summary tab mentioned above. If you do not currently have the most up-to-date version then the download is just under 600 meg, and therefore may take a while to download.

Contacts only sync partly from McBook to the iPad.

I'd like to be able to sync over the iCloud and from my PC.

I am suddenly experiencing a similar issue with both my iPhone 3GS and my iPad 2. Though both are set to sync over WiFi -- and have many times in the past, including earlier today -- they both suddenly are invisible to iTunes over WiFi.
The iPad 2 becomes visible to iTunes when I plug it in via the USB cable and can sync that way. The iPhone 3GS, however, received this error message when I plugged it in via the USB cable:
"iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because an error occurred while reading the device."
Both devices have successfully synced both over WiFi and via USB cable up to this point. Now, the iPad 2 can only sync via USB cable and the iPhone 3GS cannot sync or be seen by iTunes at all.

I have a new computer. I installed iTunes. I have authorized the computer for my iPad. But, when I click Sync - it wants to erase the ipad

It is absolute garbage that I would need to erase this ipad. GARBAGE programing. Stupid, non-user friendly, dumb, idiotic (trying not to cuss here!)
There has to be a simplier way then transfer purchases (done), backup (done) then restore...any pray it all makes it back on the iPad?!
Why is it not as simple as authorizing computer, transfer purchases, and then click sync? What am I missing here?

Did you not bring all your important data over from your old computer? Do you have a backup of the iTunes library that you can restore? If not, then its not to late, just more work that it should be.
You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

App that syncs ical calendar (not just the task)

I am trying to find a GTD application that syncs with the calendar, not just the task. Bento and LifeTopix create a calendar in ical. I am trying to find another GTD app that does that. Omnifocus and Things does not. That is such as drawback. I need to see everything that I am doing in the day. Please help!!!!!!

I was restoring my ipad and itunes synced now it is telling the ipad may be damaged and to take it to a store. 100 miles away from nearest. I think i did everything correct how do i get the ipad to turn back on.

i was restoring the ipad due to password (which was remembered but was not working) blocking restriction. Decided to restore to original settings and it seemed like it went thru. but when came to end it said to take device to apple store. Can anyone help. I am 80 miles from the nearest store.

Is the iPad charged? Plug it in with the charger/wall outlet for half an hour and try again to reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.

Sync photos from iTunes to the iPad

When I synchronize the iPad Air while connected to iTunes in my Mac, I normally intend to transfer the new photos, faces and events included in the iPhoto app in the Mac, since the rest of older photos are already stored in the iPad, which were transferred in previous synchronizations.
But sometimes I find that the Photos tab in iTunes doesn't show the mark of synchronization (as it were not synchronized before). And when I mark it and try to start synchronization, it advises me that all the pictures will be deleted before transferring the selected photos from the "new" library. It seems that it doesn't recognize the actual library in iTunes as the same that was used in previous synchronizations, and therefore it needs to delete everything (the complete photos collection), and start copying again from zero. It is quite boring, because I have a big photo collection, and takes a lot of time to copy into the iPad the thousands of pictures as they were new all of them.
How can I adjust iTunes to identify my Library in the Mac as the same that I am trying to synchronize every time?
I'm not sure if it is clear the problem with this confusing explanation, but I will appreciate any support on this matter.

Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database, followed by Option #1 if needed.

When I select Mail, Contacts, Calendars in settings the ipad will lock up and not display setting options.

When I noticed my mail not being delivered to my IPad I wanted to check the settings and make sure there wasn't an issue. When I click on the settings option nothing will display on the right side and the Settings screen will lock up. I can restore the IPad to original settings and this will fix the issue, but I need to restore all my apps to this IPad. Any suggestions of how I can delete the mail settings and set them back up?

Try a simple Reset - hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons together for 15 seconds - and try again!

On Apple's website it seems like everything about the iPad with retina display is better than the iPad 2. Is this true?

The iPad 4 has a higher resolution than the iPad 2 (iPad 2 is 1024 x 768 pixels, on the iPad 3 and 4 it's 2048 x 1536). The iPad 4 also has a faster processor (A6, the iPad has A5).
