Syncing more than one iphone with Microsoft Outlook

My husband and I both have iPhones. He already has his phone set up to use Microsoft Outlook. Is there a way for me to also use Microsoft Outlook, but only sync my information and not his?

Do you mean a change to the mail box settings or a change to an e-mail? If the former, it won't change in Outlook if you change it on the iPhone. Whether a change to an e-mail (e.g. a deletion or a move to a folder) also changes in Outlook depends on whether you are using IMAP or POP to connect to your mailbox server. IMAP will keep the mailboxes synchronised all all times. POP will not. If you use POP for multiple mail clients (e.g. Outlook and your iPhone) make sure you choose to leave a copy of e-mails on the server or each message will only transfer to the first client to connect to your mail provider's server. IMAP is much better for the sort of set up you plan to have.

I have one MacBook pro, already have my iPhone synced to it. I want to sync my wife's to it as well so she can share my iTunes library.
    Is this possible?

Create a new user login (with a password) for your stuff.
This way, your data won't get mixed up.

  • TS4123 This is not correct solution. I have fresh copy of Windows 7 64 bit and I have the same problem.  Autorun only shows the Bonjour service.  It started when try to sync more than one iphone.

This is not correct solution. I have fresh/new copy of Windows 7 64 bit and I have the same problem.
Autorun only shows the Apple Bonjour service.  It started when try to sync more than one iphone over WiFi. I have two iphones and an iPad. I turned off syncing over WiFi and still has high CPU utilization. One of the CPU's is pegged at 100%.  It is the AppleMobileDeviceService.exe process.

For the record, I then followed the suggestion of MarcDCMB in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4291206 of just manually restarting the Apple Mobile Device service in Windows services.msc once each time after starting iTunes and the service no longer hogs CPU after that service restart.  Not too painful as a work-around, and apparently an effective one, but clearly not a solution to the problem.  Again, as above, all the other solutions didn't work for me and I have no conflicting software as far as I can tell. So you'd have to say this Apple's problem.
Also FTR, I am still on the 5.2.0.6 version of the Apple Mobile Device Support MSI and I don't know if that is relevant to this work-around working but my sense is that it is NOT relevant.  I'll report back on this thread if I re-upgrade and the problem returns in spite of the service-restart approach.

  • Syncing more than one iPhone

My wife and I both have an iPhone and sync music etc as usual through iTunes. When I try to backup my contacts/calendar to Outlook I get a message that says:
"The information on the iPhone "xxx's Account" is synced with another user account. Do you want to sync this iPhone with the information from this user account instead?
"Merge Info" merges the information on this iPhone with the information from this user account.
"Replace Info" replaces the information on this iPhone with the information from this user account."
All I want to do is to backup contacts/calendar. So what do I do?

  • How to sync more than one iPhone on same computer?

I have multiple iphones under my family plan as well as iPad2.   I use one iMac mainly for my business & to update my iphone 4s, and the older intel imac  to update the other devices.
When we try to update/sync we get info from the last person who synced their iphone which is info that the other person may not want.
How does one set up two different 24" Imacs running Lion so that each person's iphone etc. is recognized and contains just their info when opening/syncing to iTunes.
I think I read somewhere that each person needs their own apple ID no./account?
If so, how does having each of us with their own account ID work if we all use the same computer?
Do we need to set up separate individual user accounts and when that person wants to sync to itunes they would log out of which account the computer is and log onto their own account before trying to sync to itunes?
    Thanks
    Bob

It's easier if each person has their own AppleID, that way when the connect they can login to iTunes as their Apple ID and their apps, music, etc.. will sync. The only other way I know how of doing it is create user accounts for each of the people logging into the computer and then they will be forced to used their own AppleID's. To create accounts for each person go to System Preferences - Users & Groups and add users by clicking the + at the bottom of the column.
BTW PLEASE complete your profile. We have a tough time helping if we don't even know what version of OS X you're running and what iMac you have. You can easily do this by clicking Your Stuff in the upper right then click Profile and add the pertinent information.

  • Syncing more than one iphone to my computer

    Despite my best efforts, when syncing my girlfriend's new iPhone to my computer (which was previously synced with all my own iPhone data), it has done what I dreaded - it has duplicated MY contacts with her contacts, and vice versa.  Can I ask;
    a) Is it possible to separate our addresses, after they've "joined"?
    b) How do I prevent future mixing of our seperate data (contacts, dates, etc)?
    Thanks, Tony

The problem is this: By design, an iPhone will sync or manually manage iTunes content with ONE computer at a time. Any attempt to sync or manually manage iTunes content with a second computer will result in ALL iTunes content being first erased from your phone, to be replaced with the content from the second computer. There is no way to override this design feature.

  • Can I sync more than one iPad with one iTunes account?

I lost my iPad and bought another and when I sync it erased all my apps and movies from my iPad

I am confused by your statement. You said you lost your iPad and bought another. They you said when you synced it erased all you apps and movies from your iPad. If you lost your iPad all the info is gone too. Did the new Ipad have apps and movies on it that were obtained on a different syncing computer?
If you had a backup of your original iPad and bought a new one when you connected your new iPad to the computer used to sync the original iPad iTunes should have given you the option to restore to the new iPad the backup of the original iPad.
If an iPad is synced to one computer and you they sync it to another computer you will get a message that says if you continue the contents of the iPad will be erased and replaced with those of the new syncing computer.
