Syncing multiple iPads to share a single calender?

I'm tring to set up at work where we have 3 ipads and 3 iphones all os seperate apple IDs however we want to share calenders as we arent always in the office at the same time
we would like each person to be able to update or add a calender entry and it to update od all the other devices!
is this possible? if so how do we do it?
to share and remote print documents would be good as well

I don't use the service, but you might look at a google calendar or other online calendar. Keep it separate from the Apple Id's but set up a new online account with this calendar and then make sure all 3 devices can access it.
There's also google documents but again, a service I don't use. Just something you can look into.

  • Sync multiple Ipad and Iphones

We have 2 IPADs, two iphones two computers and ONE ITunes account.
The first IPAD2 IPHONE3 pair are mine and I and syncing onto my computer with our SINGLE itunes account
The second IPAD1 IPHONE4 is my wifes and she is syncing onto her computer with the SAME Itunes account
I want to make sure that my IPAD & IPHONE are in sync with each other and that my wifes IPAD & IPHONE are in syn with each other. We use two different computers. I have two questions
    (1) Since we are using the same ITUNES account, is there any things i have to be careful about.
We would like to share Apps and music but want to keep our notes and backups different.
    (2) I have my calendars and so does my wife, If possible we would lihe to share ONE calendar group also.
Would appreciate if anyone has any suggestions for Questions (1) and (2). we do  not want to be clobbering each others data.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You could use one of your accounts as the main account for the iPad and enter all the other accounts as secondary accounts in the Mail, Contacts & Calendars settings.

  • Syncing Multiple iPads via Sync Station

Hi Team- we are a school district implementing a 20 iPad pilot program.  We have a single charge/sync station, and need to be able to sync all the iPads to a single profile via the charging station.  Can you tell me what software to use- is there a management software for multiple iPads, or just sync all 20 to a single iTunes account?
    Thanks in advance!

With Apple's new (and free!) Configurator, you can do some pretty sophisticated and effective file management and syncing programs.  We have tested it with some Datamation Systems hubs on 32 iPads, which breaks the 30-device barrier mentioned in the material.  We have no reason to think it will not recognize and support even more, such as a 49-port hub for syncing: http://www.ipadcarts.com/solutions/DS-IP-49-SYNC.htm.  Has anyone tried this?

  • How can I sync multiple iPads together for a presentation?

I have multiple ipads. I'd like to give a presentation with all the attendees viewing the presentation on each ipad. Each attendee would be given an ipad to view the presentation. The presenter would control the presentation from their iphone or ipad. How can I do this? Is there a way to sync all ipads together. Preferablly over bluetooth. Help please!

If the presenter is using a computer and everyone else has an iPad this is very easy and free. Just use http://join.me and on the iPad just download their free app

  • What is the easiest way to sync multiple ipads to one computer

Is it possible to (easily) sync multiple (10) Ipads to one computer?  My hope is to have all ten sales reps in the field, with the same info on their ipads.

I wouldn't say that it is easily done, but it can be done, the reason I don't say easily is because it has to be done individually one at a time. And I assume that you are talking about all ten having the same apps?

  • HT1495 syncing multiple ipads with one master ipad

Does anyone have any advice on getting multiple ipads (aprox 10) to sync with one master ipad?

Without connecting the iPad to your computer ...... Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Turn off auto sync by clicking on the box at the bottom that says ..... Prevent iPods, iPhones ...etc. Click OK. Quit iTunes
Connect the master iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
Transfer any purchases from the master iPad into iTunes via File>Transfer purchases from the menu at the top of iTunes or right click on the iPad name under the devices heading and select Transfer Purchases. Let the process complete.
Next .... right click on the iPad name on the left side of the iTunes window under the devices heading and select - Backup. Let the backup process computer. Then sync with iTunes  and eject the iPad
Connect the next iPad and right click on the iPad name under the devices heading and select - Restore from backup. Select the backup of the first iPad and let the process complete and then sync with iTunes. Eject the iPad.
Connect the next iPad and follow the same procedure and do the same with the rest of the devices.

  • How to sync multiple iPads on stage?

I have a band. I'm interested in moving from sheet music folders to iPads. There are several sheet music / page turning apps. I want to be able to sync the iPads together from one "master" to several "slaves" - turning pages, selecting songs, etc.
Some apps claim to have this capability, but provide little explanation.
I'd very much like to determine:
    a. If this is possible?
    b. If so, what equipment is necessary beyond the iPads? Would I need to create a WiFi network on stage? Would this be reliable? Would all iPads need to be the same model?
If anyone else is doing this already - band, church, pro or school ensemble - any insight would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    SK

If I go with method #3 in the article How to use multiple iPods, iPads, or iPhones with one computer can I still plug in 10 (or more) iPads into a 10 port USB hub and it will go through and sync each iPad with a different name with it's respective itunes account automatically or will I have to manually do this?

  • Syncing multiple iPads

Hi. Am I able to sync 4 or 8 iPads at the same time using a usb hub with 4 or 8 ports?

You can share you photos for sure, just iTunes doesn't offer a way to do it. You can use something like dropbox or a similar service that lets you access your files from anywhere in the world where you have internet access.
Sharing software is not allowed for obvious reasons. If you own multiple devices and sync them under one account the apps you bought will show up on both. At least that's what I do using an iPhone and an iPad.

  • Migrating from Zune to iTunes (not happy)  - How do I sync multiple PCs & music purchases with single library?

    Apple community:
Have been fighting the change from Microsoft Zune to Apple iPod/iTunes for various reasons for a few years, but have no choice but to move now.
Under Zune I could have the Zune desktop software (similar to iTunes) installed on multiple computers (four to be exact). All four installations of the Zune software pointed to the SAME single media library (\\server\media\music), and all four computers had instant access to new media purchased across any of the four PCs.
In other words, if I purchased a song on my home office PC downstairs, if I went upstairs to my personal PC, the song I purchased on the office PC was immediately available on the other 3 PCs in the house. It was extremely convenient being able to access the same media library and purchased songs across any PC, and not have to worry about manually searching for new media and/or re-syncing, etc on every PC each time. Whatever I did in Zune on one PC was instantly replicated on the others. Very simple.
Apple iTunes on the other hand works completely different, so I'm trying to wrap my brain around how to achieve a similar solution with iTunes. I know that each iTunes installation uses a seperate library (file) for EACH PC (and then there are limits with how many computers can access a song at once, and other drawbacks).
My question is this - Is there ANY solution that allows me to have iTunes installed on multiple PCs, and be able to instatly replicate any changes to the other PCs? In other words, I would like to be able to purchase a song on one PC, and have that song immediately show up on the other PCs in the house.
The same goes for playlists. If I create a playlist on PC #1, can I edit the same playlist on PC #3, and then see those changes reflected on PC #1?
I hope that doesn't sound too confusing. Thanks in advance for help/tips.

  • Sync multiple iPads

    Hi
We have mutiple iPads with unique names. We can sync from iTunes to all the iPads, but if an application (apps) on a iPod purchase something direct eg. some expansion to the app, the other iPads do not get this expansion (or item) - even after a sync.
If my question is understood, is there anyway to sync all the iPads, so item (or expansion) purchased from a app (on the iPads), is shared with the other iPads?
    Regards
    Tommy

    They share the same apple-id.
But each pad have a different name eg. pad1, pad2, pad3, pad4 etc.

  • How do i sync multiple ipads at the same time?

I am a high school principal and I have just received 80 new mini iPads.  I know that there is a much better way to sync them than doing all 80 of them individually.

I believe that you are correct. I have seen such devices in the past, but know absolutely nothing about them. You would be much better off posting your question here. I am going to ask the hosts to move your post as well.

  • Syncing Multiple Text Boxes in a Single Indesign File

In theory this problem seems rather simple and there should be a simple way to accomplish my task, but every search I've tried for syncing text only explains how to thread text boxes.
What I need to do is layout a template that is 4UP on the page. Currently, whenever I make any edits to my text I have to copy the change multiple times to reflect the change in each instance of my layout on the page.
What I'd like to do is sync all my textboxes so that any changes or updates will automatically be reflected in each instance of the layout. In the past I've accomplished this in Illustrator using symbols and instances a symbol, but I've yet to find a simlar method in Indesign.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I had stumbled cross referencing, but didn't understand I needed a  seperate reference for each paragraph within the text box. This worked  pretty well, however when making changes to the original reference  sources, I found the cross reference would break so by time I updated  and re-linked each reference in every text box it ended up taking more  time than simply copying the original text box 3 times. I guess I'm looking for more of a dynamic solution.
    Thanks for the help!
    Zach Barner
    Hi, Zach:
Thanks for the feedback. You shouldn't have to relink or update multiple changed cross-references in a document individually.
I did a test on my suggestion, because x-refs aren't supposed to break completely when source context is changed. I saw that I didn't caution you about deleting the cross-reference marker (AKA "Text Anchor"); when you create a cross-reference to source material, in the same or different documents, InDesign inserts a cross-reference marker at the beginning of the source paragraph. If it's not visible, enable Type > Show Hidden Characters. It looks like a colon character (:) in the layer's indicator color.
NOTE: InDesign uses the term "Destination" to describe the paragraph that a cross-reference pulls into the cursor position when you insert a cross-reference, and it uses the term "Source" to describe the pulled-in destination paragraph that's displayed at the position where the cross-reference is inserted. This usage derives from the terms used for InDesign hyperlinks, where it makes better sense. Depending on your pre-InDesign experience with cross-references in longhand, typewritten, or other computer applications, you may find it, as I do, counterintuitive. I think of "source" as what you pull in, "destination" as the place where you display what's pulled in, and "reference" as the thing that's pulled in. I also use the term "source document" to describe the document that contains the reference's source, and I use the term "container document" to describe the document that contains the reference (the stuff that's pulled in.)
So, when you change a cross-reference's source material in the source document, if you take care not to delete the cross-reference markers/text anchors that are created at the beginning of source paragraphs, the references in the container document's Hyperlinks/Cross-references panel display a yellow warning triangle for each changed source, and you can update them in one action.
Updating the changed cross-references can also be confusing: If no changed (yellow triangle) cross-references are selected in the Hyperlinks / Cross-References panel are selected (highlighted,) whether you use the Update cross-references button at the bottom of the Hyperlinks / Cross-References panel, or the Update Cross-Reference item on the Hyperlinks / Cross-References panel's flyout menu, ALL changed cross-references are updated. However, if one or more changed cross-references in the panel are selected, the update button or menu item updates only the selected references.
See if this helps simplify your operations.

  • Syncing multiple IPads to 1 PC

Can a person sync more than 1IPad to 1 PC? When I tried to sync the 2nd device (a second IPad) it says it is sync'd, but not data is stored. When I created a different data, or library, folder ITunes wants to delete everything on the second IPad. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Paul

    I have the same problem
Two differently named iphones, same iTunes account (but i'd be happy to run them on different itunes accounts)
Using different profiles isn't an option, this is a shared hotseat computer and people aren't going to be logging in and out to bring on their different profiles. That'll stop important things from running and isn't the way we want to operate. We just need her contacts to not collide with mine.

  • Can u sync multiple devices to share the same music etc...?

My iphone, wife iphone, daughter ipod touch all share the same apple id and password.

    jonathanfromromulus wrote:
When I hit the sync button it wants to replace music and photos with my library. Is there a way to combine all libraries?
Yes.  You need to combine the content.  First pick the one you want to be the "main" library."   Locate content from the other libraries that is not already in the main one, copy the files over, and add them to the main library.
Do the copy by the most convenient means for your setup, e.g. USB flash drive, an external hard drive, or iTunes Home Sharing.
Make sure in advance that the whole family wants you to do this.  Some may prefer to keep their own library.
