Syncing multiple iPhones with 1 computer

I have my iPhone 4s and my wife has an iPhone 4s. What is the best way to sync with iTunes. I would like to use my 1 account. Will that mess anything up, or is it better to set up both iTunes account.

Each device will only sync what you select to sync. If your wife does not want an app, then she should not select it to sync.

The only difference I can think of adding is that if you want to use the 1 computer with multiple iPhones but want EACH iPhone to sync different information would be best if each iPhone user syncing had their own User Profile for the computer.
Other than that, basically yeah. No real limitation to the # of iOS Devices connected to 1 computer

Hello community. Just had a few questions about my iphone and my wifes. I have had an iphone for almost a year now and have had my login email address and password set up since the beginning. I have the iphone 4. My wife today received her iphone 4s in the mail. I also currently have my iphone set up on the cloud to sync my contacts and calendar. We also have an ipad 2 which is set up through the cloud and I am the only person who uses this for work purposes. One of the main questions I have is how can I sync her iphone and mine using the same iTunes account on our Mac book we have and at the same time not have every purchase or app downloaded onto both phones? I use a few apps for work which she doesn't want but if she was to sync with the cloud or itunes she doesn't want to constantly delete the app or un-select it from syncing to her phone. Also we do enjoy playing some of the same games especially against each other but is ther a way for her to have her own seperate login for either downloading apps or a different login for getting into the game center? Also since we share the same wi-fi network at home is there a way to make it so that when I get home or she gets home and had downloaded apps while away that they don't automatically get sent to each other's phones or the iPad which I use for work? Syncing multiple iPhones with iCal and contacts

My roommate just bought an iPhone and synced it for the first time with my iMac, but now he has all of my contacts and calendar appointments and none of his own. Do iCal and Contacts support multiple profiles? Is it possible for him to store his contacts on my iMac with iLife and sync without interfering with my contacts?
Sorry if this is a noobish question or if it's already been answered. I looked and couldn't readily find any topics that matched this question.

Your roommate will need to have all of his contacts in a specific group, as well as all of his calendar appointments in a specific calendar.
In iTunes, go to the info tab on the iPhone in iTunes and have it only sync that calendar/group.

Can you provide some details on how you set this up? I have been tinkering and currently have an account for me on our iMac and an account for my wife. My original thought was I needed to sync my iphone when I was logged on and she would need to sync hers when she was logged on. But I want to be able to buy songs, movies, etc on itunes once and be able to sync to one or both iphones. Also want to be able to have our own contacts but also share common ones. Also would like to be able to each have our own calendar, but share appointments/events that are common, so we only have to type them in once. Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? Is any of this documented in an iTunes/iPhone advanced user manual? Thanks for any help. best wishes.

It depends on what you want to sync. If it is music, apps, movies, bought from Apple's online stores then you can do this via the free iCloud service from Apple. You can also do this for photos.
If you want to do iCal, Apple Addressbook, again you can do this via iCloud. If you want to sync to Outlook you need to do that locally, but if the account is an Microsoft Exchange account you can have the iPhone linked directly to the same Exchange account.
If it is music ripped from CDs you have to pay for the extra iTunes Match service which then runs via iCloud.
If the iPhone and computer are on the same network (the iPhone being on WiFi) then you can do WiFi syncing rather than having to use a USB cable.

We just purchased two iPhones, one for me and one for my wife. Awesome so far, activation was a breeze, no problem getting on our wifi network. Now we're choosing what to sync. We have two computers -- one macpro for me, a powerbook g4 for my wife. We keep all of our iLife stuff on my computer (all itunes songs, all iphoto pictures, etc.). We keep our respective e-mail, contacts, and calendars on our respective computers.
How should synching work? For me, it's just my computer so no issue. But for my wife, I seem to need to sync once with my computer for music/pictures, then once with her computer for her mail/contacts/calendar. Is this possible?

It is possible to sync the phones from multiple computers, for example you can sync your music from your Mac Pro and Contacts from the Powerbook G4.

How to get voice memo to computer, without sync u Iphone with pc library

okay, what i want to find is how ( and there better be a way, couse i am ****** ), how can i get my voice memo from iphone to computer. I have a very important lecture recorded, the issue is that now i am using a different laptop and my iphone is not sync with my new laptop's itunes library.
I was using itunes 9.1 or smth, and when i first connected my iphone, after recording memo ( to my new laptop ) it wrote a new voice memo is detected or something do you want to copy it, i pressed yes, and it copied the voice memo, i listened to it and then i deleted it, because i thought that the sound quality was better listening on iphone through the headphones then on laptop, but now i need to mail, that voice memo to my friend. That lecture is an hour long so i can't mail through iphone or mms, and when i connect my iphone to itunes the lecture does not appear as new and it doesn't offer to copy it to pc. So is there anyway to get the voice memo to my pc. ( i tried deleting itunes and reinstalling, because i thought, that maybe the reinstalled itunes would detect the voice memo as new, but it didn;t ( **** you apple with your leftovers ... )
Anyway, i really need help with this, hope apple technical staff will be able to answer it, though i doubt they will ...
Anyway, any help is appreciated, thank you in advance guys.
p.s. i can't sync my iphone with new laptop's itunes library because voice memo would be deleted then.

You'll need to use third party software to extract the voice memo from your phone. You are correct in that since you deleted the memo from your itunes library, it will be deleted from your phone if you do sync:

And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :

Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ?

If you are using a Windows based computer, try disabling a/v software and turning off the Firewall.
Disable antivirus software
Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
Then try syncing you iPhone.

I know this question has been posted on this forum countless times, but none of the responses seemed to help me. I need a simple and clear answer on how to sync my iPhone to a new computer. I used to sync my iPhone with a Mac, but I got a new laptop running Windows 8 and I want to sync my iPhone with this new laptop. All the responses on this site tell me to download some sort of software to extract the data from my iPhone, but none of them seem to be free. My old Mac is still intact, so I can still use it if I need to. All of this is really confusing. Sorry if I'm being really ignorant about all of this, I just really need some help.

a manual backup should help to transfer your data and apps.
Disable autosync in itunes, connect your phone, right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing and save data, pictures taken with the phone and settings to the new itunes library.

After that, transfer your purchases the same way by choosing "transfer purchases", to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your phone got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored again from the manual backup you made before.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

No. TM is machine specific and is not ideal for syncing machines. You need syncing software or MobileMe. MobileMe has a 2 month free trial. Oh, cloning software of specific files may work as well depending on what you are syncing.
