Syncing my iPad and iTunes

when connected to my laptop through USB i cant sync my iTunes to my iPad? I cant select sync on bottom left on screen

Restrictions should be turned off if you are trying to sync apps. Explain a little further about "I can't select sync". Is it greyed out? You click on it and nothing happens?
One other thing that puzzles me - and it may be a Windows thing in iTunes - my Sync button is in the bottom right corner - not the bottom left corner. Is this the button you are talking about?

I have been creating a photo book using a lots of photographs on iPhoto, and then I took another photos by using new iPAD which I want to integrate with the original album/book on iMac. I was able to import them from iPAD's iPhoto to iMac's iPhoto. However I cannot import or transfer or sync anything from iMac's iPhoto to that of my iPAD.
So my iPhoto page on iPAD contains only 3 or 4 newly created albums, and no other info. That means no syncing....
I am supposed to be able to work on this project on either of these iPAD and iMac, correct?
I am puzzled. I appreciate for your advice and help.

It doesn't appear under the iPad device on the left-hand sidebar of iTunes, you need to select the iPad device on the sidebar and then select the Photos tab on the right-hand side of iTunes e.g.

I have a question about email. I have several thousand emails in 10 or so days. How can I select multiple emails for deletion in stead of one at a time? How do I designate emails from a given sender as junk or block certain senders?

I'd suggest converting your old videos to one of those formats
handbrake is a free program which does this for you
itunes used to be able to too when I right clicked incompatible media but don't see the option any more
or maybe it only show when one right click incompatible media and currently my lib don't have any

if they are acc protected have you tried to remove the DRM this can be don using itunes as

Before anyone cuts and pastes the info from Apple support in response to this, I have already tried those steps. iTunes simply states that it cannot do anything since the iPad is locked with a passcode. I cannot access iCloud to use that specific advice as iCloud will not let me sign in; a message keeps coming up reading that there is an error with the server. Remote Swipe? Not sure. It is three hours later, and I am no further.
What else can I do? I never had a passcode set up when I first got my iPad. I would have bypassed this with the installation of iOS 7 if I had known about this.

You can re-download your apps and ibooks purchases via your purchase history in iTunes on your computer (assuming that it's version 10.3+), and if you are in the USA then you can also re-download music I think - more info here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
For music that you ripped from CDs or bought from a source other than iTunes then, assuming that you made/maintained one, you can copy them from your backup - and backups are relatively easy to maintain, so there is no reason not to have one (especially as content is occasionally removed from iTunes so isn't always available for re-download). Otherwise there may be third-party programs that can copy them off the iPad, but you can't do it via iTunes - this post from a year ago was about iPod/iPhone to computer utilities but some might work with the iPad : https://discussions.apple.com/message/11646661?messageID=11646661&#11646661 .
If you've got content in other apps that you want to copy back to your computer then you might be able to do via the file sharing section at the bottom of the iPad's apps tab in iTunes, or they might have wifi transfer capability.

If it's not a computer that it's been synced to then do you have a backup on iCloud that you could then restore from ? Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the items are still in the store, you may be able to re-download some/all of your purchases via the Purchased tabs in the iTunes and App Store apps, and the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? If the steps above do not resolve the issue, attempt to sync with iTunes while logged in as a new admin user. Follow these steps to create a new administrator user within Windows:

IPad - sync with iCloud and iTunes

Hi, i have an iPad which is sync'ed with iCloud. Now what I'm trying to do is to copy some music, ebooks, videos for my iPad using iTunes one. But the problem is that when I try to start sync, it says that iPad is already sync'ed with other library and it's asking me to erase it's content and replace with iTunes. I don't want to erase it, i just want to copy some additional content to it... Is it possible somehow to do this without erasing it?

How does this approach sound:
On the iPad, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
That will strip your iPad of all its information.
You can then sync your iPad to your computer using your computer's iTunes.

I'm having the same problem with my 4S. I have to constantly reboot my iMac or turn off my phone a few times to get it to sync. Before when I had 5.1.1 everything seemed to work just fine. I'm sure its a bug......
