I have just down loade icloud and can no longer sync my old music in itunes I have tried to delete icloud but it will not delete?

Are you sure that these times are still selected to sync in iTunes?
When you connect your iPad to your PC and with iTunes running, select your iPad under the devices button in the upper right corner of the iTunes window. Then click on the Movies tab and make sure that the movies are selected (checked) to sync. Check the playlists in the Music tab as well.

  • HT1695 sync or transfer music

How do i transfer music from my son's ipod to my iphone with the same itunes account?

I too am having the same problems. A few days ago, after upgrading to itunes 9.2.1 (Vista), my iPod touch 2g stopped syncing properly. The sync jammed up a few seconds after it started and then I get the error messages that Mason described above. I have reinstalled itunes which hasn't helped and even downgraded to and older version of itunes - no luck there either.
I tried a restore and it jammed up halfway through the restore leaving me with a useless iPod in recovery mode. The second attempt I made in restoring it had my iPod refuse to turn on or reset. I thought I had bricked it. I somehow managed to get it going again with a wall charger and tried my luck with 9.2.1 on Windows XP. My iPod restored perfectly and syncs again with no problems - but that is someone elses computer! I can't sync my own music onto it on my own computer. I've tried another computer on Vista and another on Windows 7 and neither worked.
As a last resort I rang Apple support only to be told to do all the basic stuff I've done already (reinstall itunes, try another computer etc.) They then refused to help me any further unless I paid them £25 for an Apple support agreement! This is blatently a problem with the itunes programming and Apple don't seem to care - they have the cheek to ask me to pay £25 for their poor programming.

  • I have an ipod touch and i just bought a new laptop, because i lost mine. i try to sync the music in the itouch to my new laptop but it asks me if i want to delete all my music before syncing  what should i do?

i have an ipod touch and i just bought a new laptop, because i lost mine which has all the data of my itouch. i try to sync the music in the itouch to my new laptop but it asks me if i want to delete all my music before syncing  what should i do?

You should use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod.
The ipod will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase teh content from the ipod.

  • Ipod won't sync and some music disappeared from drives

I have about 2300 songs on my Ipod classic 30gb.
Recently I was asked to automatically update Ipod. At any rate, yesterday evening I noticed that there were a few exclamation marks on my playlist. It turns out that about 35 songs have suddenly disappeared off my hard drive. About 30 of them were all loaded around the same time (about 6 weeks ago), but not all the songs from that date were missing.
Now, when I go to sync, my Ipod will not sync with ITunes (I first tried because the deleted songs from my drive are still on the Ipod).
I am also seeing that my Ipod music is coming up greyed out. When I tried the diagnostic, I received what many have been writing about. A message that says "one or more sync tests failed."
Since I have the music on my computer, and own the music of the missing songs, I reset my Ipod and did a restore. The problem is NOT fixed. I will get the Ipod to sync when the music gets loaded back on, but then, never after that.
All the missing songs had been deleted from my Itunes playlist before doing the re-sync to make sure it was not a corruption issue.
Meanwhile, 2 other curious things. I have an older Ipod that does show up. But I also had a friend who brought her Ipod over about a month ago. We plugged it in and it was greyed out at the time. We couldn't access it on my computer. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now I am concerned. But this was before I updated the software.
I will say that even before the update, I would get messages acting as if I did not have anything on my Ipod drive (it would say, no disk in Drive I, where the Ipod would be). This usually happened at the end of a session and I would
just hit continue or cancel and it would just go away. The bottom line was that it always synced for me. Now, after an alleged sync, it says it's syncing, but it doesn't really do it.
I have done extensive virus checking and my computer is not infected.
Numerous reports on not being able to sync have appeared on the internet and I have not seen 1 single solution, except for a fix on the IPod shuffle. This looks to be a potential ITunes update glitch.
My fear is buying a new IPod and having this thing happen again.
Essentially it ends the life of your IPod at the songs you already have stored on it. Unless I want to just keep restoring my Ipod every time I load music, which, to be honest, is ridiculous.
However, that is the only time this will sync.
Anybody know what I can do?

I just tried CopyTrans Doctor, based upon the suggestion on another thread.
I am glad it is a trial, because it said my IPod is fine. It is not fine.
Still trying to figure this one out.

  • Can't sync apps or music iphone 4S ios_5

I can't sync apps or music to my 4S.  I had upgraded my 4 to ios5, made a good backup, and tried to restore backup to the 4S.  It says it is syncing (for an hour), but there are no apps on the phone other than built-in apps, and no music or audio content of any kind.  Videos sync, as do contacts and notes.
    I have tried the following:
    Multiple syncs
    delete itunes plist
    delete and reinstall itunes
repair permissions (Power mac dual g5 2.0Ghz, 10.5.8, all software updated)
restore iphone 4S from scratch 3 times
tried the "dual restore" trick at least 6 times
Bought apps on phone and on computer (this has worked in past for certain itunes errors)
deauthorize and reauthorize computer for store
Here's where it gets weird - if I click the "apps" tab then 14GB of apps show up on the summary as loaded on the phone, but they're not.  If I download a previously owned app, the data for the app is already on the iphone (1password pro, angry birds, etc.).  I still can't sync so re-downloading all of the apps is not going to work for me.
I am at my wit's end - Genius Bar was unable to assist.  Any tips are appreciated.
    Thanks!

I have the same problem with the apps.  I can't find the way to make them work on my IPhone 4s.
    I have also tried:
    Multiple syncs,
Restoring several times to factory settings and back to different back-ups
Plugging the USB cable in a different port,
Removed data (pictures and videos) to allow more memory space,
    Uninstalling and reinstalling ITunes,
    Deauthorize and reauthorize my computer
When my phone is plugged in and it's in sync mode, the apps tab on the ITunes is grayed out (meaning that is not getting included).  We have two old 3G iPhone and an IPad that sync from the same computer and they work fine.
Please help if you have had any success!
    Thank you!

  • Transfering music from an itouch to itunes on a PC?

I've been trying to transfer music from my itouch on to my itunes on my computer, but with no such luck. I have an already existing library on itunes which is backed-up, but no back-up for the music on my itouch. When trying to get the music off my itouch on to the computer, my computer can't even see the music files only photos and the only option itunes gives me is to sync (thus deleting the current music on itouch) the music library already existing.

  • Turning off sync without loosing music

After a year of managing my own music transfers I made the mistake of using iTunes sync to give my iPod a fresh reload to make sure all my edits to the library were up to date. Now I can’t turn off sync without iTunes threatening to erase everything on the iPod. As a temporary patch I’ve got iTunes set to only sync checked items but it’s really lame to have to trick iTunes into leaving my iPod alone. Anyone know how to turn the feature off without wiping the iPod?

#@!&%$# ... using my "sync on checked" trick wiped everything without warning. I guess I got my wish and I can go back to manually managing the iPod. I HATE iTUNES! It's deliberately crippled in so many ways ...

  • Load my own music and Match music

Might be a daft question but can i load my own music onto my iPhien abnd still have Match in use?
i have some radio shows recorded i want to listen to. If i load them into iTunes and dont 'Match them', as its lots and they are long, can i then sync them into the iPhone without disturbuing the Match settings?

Yes, absolutely you can load your own music (as long as you obtained it legally; for example, from CDs you own).
It sounds like you've signed up for iTunes Match.  Assuming that's true, iTunes Match may replace your music with the same tunes from the iTunes library, which may improve the fidelity of the music.
In any event, as long as you place legally obtained music into your library, iTunes Match will handle it properly and you will not lose anything.

I AM SO AGITATED RIGHT NOW?
    SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Any music that is not in your own iTunes library will be erased from the iPod when you connect and sync.
That appears to be the case here.

My MacBook was wiped of all my music and everything else, and now my iTouch is the only device with my entire music database. My iTouch is old. (Version 6.1.6, Model number: MC547LL/A) Is there any way I can put all the music on my iTouch back onto my MacBook? I hate that I could lose my entire music library by dropping my iTouch in the toilet.
I've tried to plug in my iTouch into my MacBook, but I can't seem to give the music-transfusion without subscribing to iTunes Match or just completely wiping my iTouch.
    PLEASE HELP MEEEEE

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss.  To use a device with a different setup you transfer the old library from a computer or a backup directly to the new setup, not the device to the library. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
