Syncing new downloads on laptop (not main computer)

Rightly or wrongly I downloaded some new songs onto my laptop. My main PC has my itunes library on. I have also downloaded the latest Itunes onto the laptop. All purchases have synced ok into the library on the laptop EXCEPT the new songs. These refuse to sync despite several tries. I have looked for help online and cannot find anything relevant. HELP Please!

I am having problems downloading my music library from my PC to my iphone. I have different apple id's for i-tunes and iphone5s. I did connect iphone to PC via USB and was able to sync and download, but do not know where it downloaded to. I looked under my music on iphone and nothing there.

You have Sync Music selected under the Music tab or selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your PC?

Email - New downloaded files do not replace old ones. Thoughts?

Email - New Downloads do not replace the old versions even though it says it will.
Not a "feature" I can live with. If I run an old version of an ad it costs me money.
Making each have a new name creates issues with automatic updates in inDesign --

This issue still exists.
It asks if I want to repalce the old file with a new one -- I say yes -- and presto chango -- old file stays and new files disappears!!!
This is NOT acceptable and will cost me money if ads do not update.
I hate that I have to change my working because it does not do what it says it does.

Everything with the update went well, bought/downloaded applications from iTunes, hit sync & got the message that I'm not authorized for them on this computer. I have to be, don't I? I remember when activating the phone that it did that... I think. Please help, I want to use my new apps.
BTW, I've tried resetting the iPhone by holding down the power & home buttons for 6 seconds & I've restarted my G5.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just solved it. Double clicked on one of the new applications from within iTunes, it asked for my password to authorize this computer, clicked sync & it's syncing now.
Hope this helps others that might have had the same problem.

Why can I not sync my iPhone 4 to my main computer?

Okay, I'm having two iTunes related problems on my main PC/Gaming computer. I don't know if the problems are related.
First: It's running Windows 7 and iTunes 64bit. iTunes is up to date.
Problem 1) There are two iPhone 4s in the house. Mine and dads. Mine used to connect before iOS 5 hit. I updated to iOS 5, and I can no longer connect the iPhone to this computer. Dad's iPhone runs iOS 4 and works fine. the iOS5 iPhone is up to date.The iOS5 iPhone connects to the dining room PC (Also Windows 7 64bit, iTunes up to date)
Problem 2) Every now and then iTunes pops up an error saying "Unable to save iTunes Library. There isn't enough memory" or something.
It has 404GB of HDD Space left and it's a 6GB computer.

Assuming that iTunes is installed in the default C drive location, if that drive is full, that could explain the error. Might be worth moving some items from the C drive to other drives, or purging some unnecessary stuff.

Can't sync new ipod nano - music not added

My old ipod was stolen...bought a new ipod nano and I'm trying to sync...went to account to edit and tried to change computers...clicked on change country but there is still $.13 left on the account so it will not let me change computers...help please

Apple put in a new hard drive, but not the computer is VERY LOUD!

I just got my 13 month old Intel iMac back from the Apple store -- it needed a new hard drive. When I first turned on the computer, it was very loud, and I thought they gave me someone else's computer by mistake, so I checked the Serial Number, and apparently it's my computer.
I can't take this noise. What's going on? The fan wasn't broken, but this sounds like a new fan in the computer that is much louder than the old fan.
Also, the Apple geniuses told me the computer would use Time Machine to install all my old settings (I have an external hard drive hooked up to the iMac). But it's not working at all. Whenever I tell the new hard drive to "Restore to a Time Machine Backup" and select the backup hard drive, the computer screen goes gray, and it starts all over again (with the "Hello" screen in all the different languages.
Please help. I guess the MIP issue is the noise -- I can't work with a computer this loud. It gives me a headache. Should I just take it back to the Apple store, and have the noise fixed first? There never was a noise problem before I took the computer in for the broken hard drive.

If that doesn't help, take it back.
Tip... whenever you take a computer in for service and you pick it up, make sure it's running without problems *before you leave*. Especially in this case where you got it home and now have this noise issue.

Firefox Downloads (in classic or new download window) does not show progress or downloads

I noticed that when I download anyhitng that the download window (classic and new) windows do not show progress anymore, do not show files downloaded, nor give me anything to right-click and go to that folder, in which it was saved. I had it fixed for 1 day, until it started to lose the files the next day.
I only see the arrow turning green, with no result within the downloadswindow.
I had done the following:
1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter.
o The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
2. In the Search field, type browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone.
3. Double-click on the browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone setting to change its value to false.
You can set the Boolean pref browser.download.useToolkitUI to true on the about:config page to restore the classic Download Manager window.
Yet this problem still continues.

Having trouble syncing Apps download on iPhone 3Gs to computer, HELP?

I have had an iPhone 3G for almost a year now and have downloaded numerous Apps. Some that I have purchased and other that were free. I want to download the new iPhone update and restore my phone but don't want to lose the Apps I purchased. I switched apple accounts about 1/2 a year ago because it was linked to an email that I used in high school and created a professional one for college. Is their any way on identify the account used to download certain Apps and if the email address it may be linked to no longer exists is there anyway to download the App without being charged a second time? The main reason I would like to do this is my HDD crashed and after installing a new one my iPhone no longer recognizes it.

Can you give us the exact error message, please.
Otherwise there could be a thousand different things going on!
In the meantime try the reset if you haven't done that yet (maybe it helps, at least it's quick): press and hold the sleep/wake and home buttons and releasing them, when the Apple logo appears on the display.

I am also having issues with it. I tried to open it while online to see my employment packets. Not recognized and not working at all when working online.
I have noticed that if your using IE and none of the other browsers.. it works just fine. Yet if you use the other browsers... It will not be recognized. This issue needs to be resolved to use on all browsers as I do not like IE. It gets too many bugs.

New download serial bnumbers "not valid"

Well I bought the bundle premeire elements 7 and photoshop 7 last night.. after 2 hours waiting for the download I got the serial numbers they sent with the order and punched them in... "not valid" it says.. so then I call Adobe ... wait till monday? What? monday? I bought it online to use immediatly.. anyone know what I might try or possibly what I 'm doing wrong? thanks..

Did you type in the serial numbers with dashes between them? Try it without. Or vice versa.
Did you ensure that you were using the Photoshop Elements serial number for Photo Elements and the Premiere Elements serial number for Premiere Elements and you didn't mix them up?
Otherwise,I'm not sure what to tell you, Gonzalo. Only Adobe can distribute serial numbers.

Syncing new mail w/ iPhone (notes, tasks)

I just watched the preview of the new OS, and it's pretty impressive. I do like the new feature of notes and to-dos in mail. Something that was sorely lacking.
However, how are these integrated with my iPhone, if at all? I haven't gotten the upgrade yet, and probably won't be able to for a while. But knowing if notes integrate with mail would be a big push to get it sooner than later.

Problem solved - I was using Hotmail via Firefox and not Mac Mail. I deleted the old accounts from Mail and set the new accounts up. These were then reflected in iTunes.
