Syncing Notes taken in 'CourseNotes' with iCloud

I just downloaded the app 'CourseNotes' from the app store and i wanted to know whether anyone knew how to save the notes taken within this app onto icloud or even just how to back the up apart from on an Ipad?  Thanks

I don't see any reported System Issues on the System Status site, but it has happened before. However, I was looking at the iCloud support manual, and Mail/Notes are together under the same help section. This leads me to believe that you need this iCloud account set up in mail in order for both (or either) to work.
Not absolutey sure about that, but I can tell you that as we were going back and forth, I added a new note to my Mac, and it showed up immediately on my iPhone (like instantly) - same the other way around....that doesn't mean that a server somewhere isn't having a problem, and yours may be one that is.
But, can't think that it would hurt to try to put add your iCloud account to your Mail account to see if it clears the Notes problem up....
If you do try it, and it works, can you let me know?
Cheers, and best of luck with this!

Make sure you have Notes turned to On in Settings>iCloud.  Also, open Notes and tap Accounts on the top left, then make sure you are creating the notes you want to sync with iCloud in the iCloud account (and not something else like On My iPhone).

I have the exact same problem.  I did the update on my iPhone 5 yesterday, opted for the iCloud set up in the update and then it wiped my contacts.  They are not on my phone or in the cloud...

Have backed up your iPhone with iTunes to a computer? Then you can restore a replacement iPhone from this backup, and this with also restore the camera roll.  The iTunes backups will contain the camera roll.

  • How can I sync my G2 iPod touch with iCloud Contacts

I have a second generation iPod touch OS 4.2.1.
My iMac runs OS X 10.7.3 and I have an iPad 3rd generation.
My Address Book Contacts and iCal Calendars are in iCloud. I have no On My Mac contacts or calendars.
I can sync my iCloud calendars with the iPod touch by choosing the iCloud calendars identified with my Apple ID in the iTunes calendar sync dialog.
The iTunes sync dialog for the Address Book, however, does not show my iCloud Contacts and only has a choice for syncing all contacts, which I have chosen.
My calendars sync to my iPod touch, but my Address Book does not.

This says that it can't be done.
But I am able to do it for my calendars in iCloud, just not for my contacts in iCloud.
What is the reason for the difference.

  • Can't sync Numbers on my iMac with iCloud ?

    iMac Mid 2011, OS X 10.8.3
Calendar and Notes sync easily with iCloud and my iPad and iMac.  Just as advertised...make a change on the iPad and see it on the iMac and vica versa.
Not so with Numbers.  Changes made on my iPad never make it to the iMac without manual intervention (very lame).
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?  Is this a known shortcomming?  Where am I going wrong?
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Dan from New York

The process should be simple enough: sign in in System Preferences>iCloud with your Apple ID and enable Mail in the checklist. That should set it up.
Is this a new account or did you migrate from MobileMe? If the latter, you sign in with your @me.com email address.

  • My Ipad seems to be locked, it says it has not made an updtae with Icloud in two weeks, an needs to be charged, have wifi and be locked. I have arranges all this but it is still "locked" and i can´t do anything, not even turn it off..

My Ipad is locked and I can´t do anything it says it must sync with Icloud but does not seems to do this know even if It is connected to wifi, charged and is locked. I can´t do anything right now...

In order to backup to iCloud the iPad must be plugged into a power source, connected to WiFi and locked - meaning that it must be asleep - or with the lock screen only visible. This is for automatic backups.
If the iPad is not responding at all to any user input, try restarting it or resetting it and see if you can take the steps necessary to back up. You can initiate the backup manually as well.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Syncing OS X Mail Accounts with iCloud

    Hi folks!
I am thinking about finally updating my OS X to Mountain Lion... sad fact is I am still on Snow Leopard.  Well it's not sad... I have not felt the need to update it, been busy with work and didn't want to rock the boat sorta speak, everything currently is working to my expectations.
I am wondering about iCloud - I currently use iCloud on my iPhone only... not on my Mac (as of course it is Snow Leopard).   I am wondering, can iCloud back up mail accounts like the good ole MobileMe did?  I used to subscribe to MobileMe and one of the features I loved was that I could put all my OS X Mail Account settings into the 'cloud' and restore them at any time.  Is that possible now with iCloud?
Another idea I had... as I am not using iCloud at the moment on my Mac, I use iTunes to sync my mail accounts to my iPhone 4 - do you think it is possible to send those account settings from my iPhone to iCloud, and then back down into my MacBook once I have completed the upgrade to Mountain Lion?  Better than having to setup multiple email address again ;-)
    Cheers!

With Snow Leopard you can access your iCloud email by setting Mail up manually:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard
You may be able to sync your calendars to iCloud by means of an unsupported hack, and there is a convoluted hack which has been reported as working for Address Book (and as not working by others - I've not tried it), but iCloud's other facilities will not work. This page outlines the situation when you migrate to iCloud, including a link to the calendar hack:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/icloudSL.html
If you upgrade your Mac to Mountain Lion you will be able to access iCloud fully and the data which is already on there will sync to your Mac: you will need to be careful about possible duplicates. You should be asked which set of data should be the master.

  • Sync notes on the iPad with my iMac?

The Notes program on the iPad states that iCloud allows you to sync with you iPhone and iMac.  Where would my synced notes be on the iMac, I cannot find them.

    They're in Mail (Mac Mail).
In a Notes folder in the left sidebar under the Reminders heading.

  • HT5058 Syncing Exchange Account in iCal with iCloud

I have successfully added an Exchange account calendar to my iCal. Problem is I can't get my Exchange calendar to sync with iCloud.
How do I get my Exchange account calendar to sync with iCloud since they appear in different sections? Thank you.

I think I have a solution: delete the shared calendars from your iCloud calendar list and then log into your husband's iCloud account. Stop sharing all the calendars in question and re-share them again to your iCloud e-mail address.
I had to do this very thing and lo and behold, the new invitations took just fine and now, no more 403 errors. So, the source of the problem would appear to be a server-side permissions or backoffice kind of problem. The workaround is to delete the sharing properties (i.e. stop sharing) and then re-share the calendars again. I think maybe now with this information, Apple should be able to home in on a real fix but until then, try this workaround. Hope this helps you.

  • Camera now not working after syncronising with Icloud and sending a photo.

    Hello,
I sycronised with Icloud and my Ipod touch 4 th generation was allworking okay, until I took some photographs via emailand sent them to my friend. The camera  icon is still present on the screen but when pressed the camera facility does not work. now.
    Can anyone advise please.
    Thanks,
    Paul

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod
if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I do not want all of the playlists in iTunes to be synced to my iPhone. With iCloud I do not seem to have a choice. How do I select only certain playlists for my iPone?

I have many songs and playlists in my iTunes account.  I do not want all of them synced to my iPhone 5S, but that has happened via iCloud, and it has caused a storage problem on my phone.  How do I select only certain playlists to be synced to my iPhone?

You need to start over with Music. On the iPhone Music screen uncheck sync music. Also, on the Summary screen uncheck "Manually manage music and videos", then sync and it should clear off your phone.
Next, choose the music you want to sync. If you want to fit more on check "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC". This will reduce quality slightly, but it won't be noticable unless you are using $300 headphones.

  • How do I sync iCal 10.5.8 with iCloud or Mavericks without upgrading?

I have a Macbook with OS X 10.5.8 and a new Macbook Air with Mavericks. I want to sync my iCal on both machines without upgrading from Leopard. Are there any free solutions via Dropbox, google calender or other servers? Please advise. Thank you!

You can define on or more calenders public on mavericks or the web and enter the url in leopard to get a read access. The shared calender  is duplicated and accessable by everyone who knows the url, but will not be shown at the google search results.
The Google calender works like iCloud  for the private link to the calender. You get a read access without entering the login data. For write access (to other users) the calender must be public and will visible at the google search results.
Maybe you will find some solutions for a two-way-sync at the web. Dropbox is no option, because it is only a web space without the functions from a caldav server.

  • I can't sync contacts thru the air with iCloud.  Why?

I unchecked syncing calanders, contacts, etc on iTunes because the pull down dialog said I may get duplicates.  It says I am syncing thru the air using iCloud.  But it's not working.  My question is why?

To copy the contacts from your external accounts to iCloud, do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (any iCloud contacts will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup.  (If you have more than 500 contests to transfer you will need the “Pro” version.)  Use the app to backup the remaining contacts on your phone (from the external accounts) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself.  Confirm that you have received the email.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section), and set this to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap each of your external accounts and turn off contacts syncing (otherwise you will see duplicate contacts on your phone).
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from the external accounts back to your phone, and to iCloud.  They should all be in iCloud now, and you will no longer be syncing them with your external accounts.
