Syncing Outlook Tasks

How do I sync my Outlook Tasks to my Iphone? My company is on Exchange Server 2007.

Try an app called iMTasks. There is a free "test" version called iM Lite Viewer to see if it works.
The app itself works very well and says it's 2007 compatible

This can not be discussed here I'm afraid.

  • Sync outlook tasks with iphone 4

Iphone 4 with icloud and iOS 6.1.2; MS Outlook 2007 on 32 bit win 7 OS.
How can I sync Outlook's "tasks" with my iphone via iCloud?  Barring iCloud, what other options do I have for syncing tasks?
Basically, I am trying to keep everything functioning as simply as possible, as inexpensively as possible (I'm a student juggling schedules).  I would like to continue using Outlook, but I am open to suggestions for other software/apps that have similar capabilities and functionality.  I already have my calendars synced over the cloud, but I can't figure out how to sync tasks.  I prefer using tasks for simple 'to-do' type stuff, and my calendars for appointments, time sensitive things, etc.

For email, available with an Exchange or IMAP account only, not with a POP account.
All server stored mailboxes with an Exchange or IMAP account are kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account.
Although it is possible to access a POP account with more than one email client, a POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client only.

  • How the heck do I sync outlook tasks with reminders on iPhone 5c using USB?  Not at all interested in any over the air methods

Trying to sync my new iPhone 5c with outlook tasks using the USB connection and can't find any method to do this.  Due to data security I am not interested in sync'ing using any over the air method such as exchange server or iCloud.  Updated from a Blackberry to iPhone due to many recommendations but this apparent non-functionality by Apple is a major disappointment and a significant lack of capability.  Any help appriciated.

Windows still allows syncing over USB:

  • Syncing outlook tasks to ipod touch?

I've figured out how to sync everything but tasks from outlook to the ipod touch, is there anyway to sync tasks?
    TIA

Regrettably this problem is not unique to Apple. Palm ruled the smartphone world until they abandoned us with the Pre, what a joke for a phone that does nothing innovative, and didn't keep the best of the Pilot or the Treo. Hopefully HP will fix them, but I've got little hope for that either.
Apple is a music company that goofs off with computers, and as a result will never be a serious computer company imho. The ipod touch/iphone has the potential to out treo the treo if Apple ever "gets" how to cater to business people who can actually afford the extra they charge for what they make.

  • How do I sync outlook tasks with iPhone4?

Is there a 3rd party app to assist? thanks

I have the same question, and judging by the 135 views of the OP, many others want to know the same. Must we ensure that Outlook is using the "Tasks in iCloud" data set? When I add a task in Outlook (2007), it does not use the Tasks in iCloud data set, and instead uses the "Tasks" data set. How do I get Outlook to default to using the "Tasks in iCloud" data set, if that is the necessary step for tasks posted in Outlook to be picked up by iCloud reminders?

  • Reminders wont sync with my outlook tasks etc.

have updated both my ipad2 and iphone 4 to the new operating system, and was expecting reminders to work as mail and calanders have.
have is set up some thing incorrectly?

Unfortunately Tasks-to-Reminders syncing is only possible via an Exchange server or via iCloud. However syncing Tasks to Reimnders via iCloud has its own set of issues (it's not a true sync imho).
Unlike calendar, contacts, mail, and notes, you cannot sync Outlook Tasks to iOS5 Reminders via USB/iTunes.
To use iCloud to sync this one Outlook data type:
Install the iCloud Control Panel, which will also install add-on in Outlook
    Set up Reminders sync
New "iCloud" groups will automatically be created in Outlook Calendars and Tasks (even if you only choose to sync Reminders/Tasks)
I'd still love to know why Apple continues to leave only Outlook Tasks off the list of USB/iTunes sync-able things...
Here's an Apple KB article to get you started (if you want to try iCloud)

  • Outlook Tasks Only Does Not Sync

I can get everything to sync to my Outlook 2007 except my Tasks. I don't receive much help on it, only message in the Log is Outlook Tasks synchronization failed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Nothing tells me why it failed.  Thanks!

Not first time syncing, but fairly new to it, have been having troubles getting everything to sync with my Outlook so I just keep plugging along until I get it right!
Now I get an error message that reads:
    - HH overwrite Desktop Sync
    Outlook Tasks synchronization failed
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I must have my Tasks set up incorrectly in my Palm that it can't read it.  But thanks for the help, I didn't know that option was out there and has helped me with some other issues!

  • Outlook task list sync ?? Calender invite ??

    1. Does anyone have a solution to sync outlook task list with iphone? Mail, Calender, Contacts are well synced except for task list.
    2. How does one send an invite from iphone calender. I could not find a way to add invite list email addresses.
    Any help would be appreciated.

An answer to the Syncing of Task might be solved by an iPhone app called KeyTask. I have not tried it yet but what I have read about it seem good if you do not mind your task information being on the internet. It basically works like MobileMe....

Plug it into your computer. Tell it to sync with "this computer" instead of iCloud. You shouldn't have to remove any apps. Otherwise, you can save the app data by using i-FunBox ( http://www.i-funbox.com/ ) just go to the "devices" tab and select 'user applications' and select all of your apps and tell iFunBox to "copy to pc" you're done! You have them all backed up.

  • Outlook tasks CAN sync to your iPhone... I have a solution!

OK.. So we all are disgusted with Apple's lack of task synchronization with Outlook. The only glimpse of this functionality is Chapura's proposed KeyTasks, which costs $10 PER YEAR, and isnt even out yet!
HOWEVER, those who do NOT want to go under contract, or do NOT WANT TO WAIT for this release, I have an excellent solution... Granted, it's only useful on Windows as far as I know, but it definitely works seemlessly.
    Here's the run down.. Todo app($10), Toodledo account(free), ToodledoSync(free).
You'll need to buy the "Todo" app from the appstore, as it is the only task app that provides any kind of sync capabilities.. (It's a very well put together app as well.. very iphone friendly with direct links in the tasks to go to a website, or to call someone, etc.)
Next, set up a free account with at http://www.toodledo.com and sync the account in Todo.
Then, go here: http://www.chromadrake.com/ChromaticDragon/software/ToodledoSyncInfo.aspx for the sync software between Toodledo and Outlook. You can set the program to periodically sync Outlook and Toodledo.
In Outlook, you should also disable the security setting in "Tools--> Trust Center--> Programmatic Access" and set the option to "NEVER warn"... Without this, every time ToodledoSync tries to sync you'd get an annoying warning message that a program is trying to access your email.
Well, that's that.... and let me just say "you're welcome" in advance!

Honestly, if Apple supported tasks and notes through exchange only, I would be sorely disappointed. I have no need for their MobileMe service, since I can still get my emails through Outlook and the iPhone independently.
This workaround works great for anyone without the need for MobileMe or any other exchange service.
As far as public folders, I can't help you there since I don't really know much about them. So with this, I am finally at peace with my needs, and I hope anyone that stumbles upon this would be as well..
But yes, I do think that Apple not supporting this natively is a complete load. Lol.. From a business perspective, yes apple needs to realize that they are isolating a large number of people who require more functionality in the business world. Apple plays their game very smart, VERY smart, but they like to have the control over their situation so I just think it's going to take them a bit of time. All these iPhone imitators are flooding the handheld market, yet none of them, i repeat, NONE of them come close to what the iPhone has become. Just like Apple's new commercial; the only phone that can beat the iPhone, the NEW iPhone. With the price point they're at, and the mass consumer adoption, all kinds of people own iPhones and I don't feel there will ever be a point where the iPhone reaches full market saturation until there's an iPhone in every cellular customer's hand. With that said, Apple should know that the only way to grow into the modern business customer, it needs to be fully adoptable into their work environment. Regardless, I believe Apple knows what they're doing. They're playing this game all too well to let these nuisances go unnoticed. Wow... ok, enough ranting... hahaha..

  • Outlook task list sync?

Is there a way that I can sync my Itouch to my outlook task list? I really need some help.

There is no a way to sync Outlook To-Dos or Notes, much to many people's chagrin, including mine. There have been many requests made to Apple for this functionality. Hopefully they will listen someday.
I have given up on Notes for now. For To-Dos, I use the Home calendar on the Touch and in Outlook for my To-Dos. It is not perfect because Outlook will not display reminders, but since my Touch is always close at hand, it works for me.
    Hope that helps.

When the phone is connected to the computer in iTunes, go to the Info tab and select Outlook as the source for Contacts and Calendars. Tasks will not sync, but Notes can be selected to sync as well.
