Syncing previously purchased in iTunes on new pc
I have a 3G that I set up on a since-formatted pc; when I switched to a new pc, I could download music and transfer same to my iPhone, but somewhere in the syncing process with iTunes, I lost that ability. That computer didn't work out, so I'm on my 3rd pc with this 3G, and iTunes is still not allowing me to transfer any music onto my iphone--any suggestions?
I've changed the iPhone>Info>replace content on phone with iTunes content, but that didn't change things.
I do not have my original pc's iPhone backup--unfortunately, I recently learned where to find that, but do not have that any longer.
What is the problem?
You open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want to sync and sync.
What issue are you having?

Download previous purchases from itunes to new computer
how do i download previously purchased audiobooks from itunes to a new apple computer
If you don't have a backup, it's probably cheaper to buy them again. Recovering data from a failed drive may cost hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Alternatively, the iTunes Store staff may allow you a free redownload if asked, but will only do this once per person.

I am having a hard time authorizing my new computer for previous purchases on itunes. The support suggestion to go to store menu and select authorize is not materializing anything even remotely similiar. At the store I only see advertisement and topics at the bottom. Can anyone guide me thru this, it really should be easier.
If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

After my phone updated, I can't find my ringtones previously purchased from iTunes...I have looked in iTunes, still have my receipt from where I purchased these ringtones
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability by country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple recommends, "You always back up your iTunes library in the event that a purchased item is no longer available on the iTunes Store," (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519).

Launch iTunes on your Mac.

Then follow the instructions here > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchases. -
HT2729 itouch 5 will not sync movies purchased from itunes that are in my itunes library.
My new itouch5 will not sync movies purchased from itunes thatsare saved in my itunes library.
Mike, Hi
Thanks for yoursuggestions. I did see that article, tried correcting the permissions, looked at a few of the other things, but this doesn't make sense. This would only be the second computer that had these purchased songs on them. SO the 5 computer limit should have nothing to do with it.
The weird thing is how the computer tells me that it's not authorized to play the purchased songs and gives me the opportunity to put in either an AOL code or an Apple ID code to authorize this computer to play the song. I do it. I get a message that, congratulations, the computer has been successfully authorized to play the song. But then it simply does not play and when you try to play it it just recycles right back to the original message saying that the computer is not authorized.

When attempting to purchase a song from i-tunes that was on an old ipod that I had to replace, the song is marked as 'purchased' and grayed out. Is there a way that I can download these previously purchased items onto my new ipod?
Lori,
If you upgrade to iTunes 10.3, you can redownload your past purchases from the iCloud. Just go to the home page of the iTunes Store and click on "Purchased" under "Quick Links." It will bring up a list of your past purchases that are not currently in your library, with a little arrow icon that lets you download. -
I needed to install a previously purchased CS6 versus on new computer. To do this, I had to download a version from CC. I will not be using CC. How do I activate Photoshop under my license so that it does not stop working when I am out of communication range a month from now?
The CC version will not activate with your perpetual CS6 license. Download the version from here:

Your number should work with this version. -
How do I download a previously purchased PSE to a new PC?
How do I download a previously purchased PSE to a new PC?
You must install it from your original installation media. You can't move an installed copy of PSE--it's too complicated of a program, with bits and bobs all over your hard drive. If you bought PSE as a download and it's a version less than three years old, you can go to the main page of adobe.com and look for My Adobe and there may a be a download link your store account.

Can i delete a movie from my computer that i've previously purchased in itunes and then download again when I want to watch it? Seems like this would help me manage storage space.
Yes, provided the movie is still in the iTunes Store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer. -
